  • 원적외선 영역에서 혈중성분들의 분광 특성이 존재함이 확인되면서 이 영역의 빛을 이용한 혈중 성분의 정량 분석을 통한 진단기술 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다1). 특히 원적외선 영역에서 특정 파장에서의 반응성을 이용한 여러 방법들 중 photo-Acoustic을 이용한 방법이 여러 가지로 연구되어지고 있다. (2) 현재 수용액 상태의 혈중 성분들의 원적외선 분광 특성을 연구하였으며, 이를 이용한 혼합 성분들의 흡수 spectrum 정량-정성 분석이 가능하며, 이러한 특성을 이용하여 non-invasive로 이용 가능한 분광법을 연구 진행 중이다. (중략)

  • Enhancements in NMR sensitivity have been the main driving force to extend the boundaries of NMR applications. Recently, techniques to shift the thermally populated nuclear spin states are employed to gain high NMR signals. Here, we introduce a technique called photochemically induced dynamic nuclear polarization (photo-CIDNP) and discuss its progresses in enhancing the solution-state NMR sensitivity.

  • 본 연구는 반도체 및 LCD Photo 공정에서 발생되는 폐액의 재자원화를 위한 공정설계 data와 재자원화 기술의 성능향상을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 있다. 재자원화 증류탑의 설계를 위한 공정모사를 통하여 공정폐액 재자원화의 최적조건을 설계할 수 있는 기초자료를 제안하였다.

  • We introduce a novel complete framework for contructing realistic facial animations given just one facial photo as an input in this paper. Our approach is carried on in 2D photo spacem not 3D space. Moreover, we utilize computer vision-based technique (digital matting) as well as conventional image processing methods (image warping and texture synthesis) for expressing more realistic facial animations. Simulated results show that our scheme produces high quality facial animations very efficiently.

  • Measurement of straightness errors (vertical, horizontal),and angular error (roll, pitch, yaw) have been classified as difficult tasks in the machine tool metrology field. In this paper, computer aided measurement techniques are proposed using quadrant type photo pin diode. In the developed system, three photo diodes are mounted on the positioning table to detect the five degrees of movement error simultaneously. Outputs from the photo diode are analyzed in the computer and are displayed graphically.

  • The Silylation photo-resist etch process was tested by Enhanced-ICP dry etcher. The comparison of the two process results of micro pattern etching with 0.25${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CD by E-ICP and ICP reveals that E-ICP has better quality than ICP The etch rate and the microloading effect was improved in E-ICP Especially, the problem of the lateral etch was improved in E-ICP.

Photoreaction of 2'-Halobenzanilide: Synthesis of 2-Phenylbenzoxazole

  • Irradiation of 2'-bromobenzanilide in acetonitrile containing sodium hydroxide under nitrogen leads to the formation of the intramolecular photosubstituted product, 2-phenylbenzoxazole (45 %) along the minor photoreduced and photo-Fries type product. The photoreaction of 2'chlorobenzanilide under the same condition as above gives the photo-Fries type reaction product, 2-amino-3-chlorobenzophenone (22%) with minor product, 2-phenylbenzoxazole. The photoreaction of 2'-chlorobenzanilide in acetonitrile produces a photocyclized product, phenanthridone (19%) along with minor products, 2-phenylbenzoxazole, benzanilide, 2-amino-3-chlorobenzophenone, and 4-amino-3-chlorobenzophenone, while that of 2'-bromobenzanilide produces photosubstituted product, 2- phenylbenzoxazole.

Spacing Method Suitable for Flexible Cholesteric LCDs

  • In order to find out LC cell spacing method suitable for flexible cholesteric LCDs with high mechanical stability, we carried out bending and mechanical shock tests by using various spacing techniques: bead spacer, photo spacer, polymer wall with bead spacer and polymer wall with photo spacer. As a result, it was found that the spacing method using polymer wall incorporated with photo spacer is the best for flexible cholesteric LCDs in terms of mechanical stability. The investigation is discussed in detail.

Liquid Crystal Alignment on the Multiple Photo-treated Layers by the Interfered Laser Light

  • Orientational alignment patterns have been proven to be that they are very useful for realizing diverse properties of liquid crystals. Here we produced the patterns combining interfered laser beams. A photo-isomerizable polymer including azo unit, which induces nematic liquid crystal alignment to the polarized laser light, was used as the alignment to layer. Double irradiations into two orthogonal directions brought the orientation patterns similar to the checkerboard. It indicates the possibility of bistability on those patterns.

  • Photosensitive polyimide containing methoxy cinnamate derivatives as a photo-alignment layer is investigated. The anisotropy of alignment layer was induced by irradiation linearly polarized UV (LPUV). We studied the effect of the methoxy cinnamate groups on alignment LCs.
