  • Home networks consist of two or more home appliances or communication devices enabling the mutual data communication between appliances such as personal computers, refrigerators, phones, television sets, personal digital assistants(PDA), etc. There are three factors that create demand for the home network services. The first factor is development of technology. Second, on the demand side, consumer demand for the home appliances having access to the Internet is in the increase. Finally, producers need a strategy to deal with the problem of market saturation. Home networks are emerging markets. They are unique in that they unite information technologies with home appliances that provide new services. in this paper we study the main attributes of home network services and analyze consumers' preferences for them. However, it is not quite possible to use the revealed preference approach since the home network market is still at an incipient stage. We therefore use the conjoint analysis method using stated preference data. conjoint analysis has been widely use in the area of marketing for evaluating consumer preferences for new products and services. it presents a hypothetical product to the respondents along with the product's attributes and their levels. The respondents are asked to either rank each alternative or choose between several hypothetical products. By estimating consumers' willingness to pay for the attributes of the home network services and analyzing consumers' preferences, we predict the pattern of the development of the home network services and related technologies along various quality dimensions. Based on the estimation results, we draw policy implications for the national- and company-level strategy.

An individual should expect to recommend a balanced diet, taking nutritional status just for health care. In this paper, we propose a personalized menu recommendations System framework to meet such needs. To recommend menus the system receives data of the body's individual circumstances, ingredients situation, environmental conditions, psychological condition, emotional condition and provides a recommended menu by performing the inference using the ontology generated from external application systems. In order to provide such services, Internet of Things (IoT) environment should be the foundation. Focus is also placed on how sexual difference influences color temperature preference. For data collection, a questionnaire including color stimulus was employed. The subjects of this study were the male and female college students who lived in Pusan. The results of the research are summarized as the following : In view of preferred color, male subjects preferred KEY2 color(warm) in red, pink, and yellow, and preferred KEY1(cool) in green and blue. While most subjects showed the same signal, in green, male preferred KEY1 color and female preferred KEY2 color. Concerning preferred personal color type, KEY1 type person liked KEY1 color except red, and KEY2 type person liked KEY2 color except blue. This shows that people prefer the focused color presenting its own traits. In view of well-matched color, most subjects liked KEY2 color in red, yellow, pink, and they selected KEY1 color in blue as the well-matched color. However, in green, each sex showed different preferences; while male subjects selected KEY1 color as the well-matched color, female ones selected KEY2 color. In each personal color type, KEY1 type male evaluated KEY1 color as the well-matched color, KEY2 type male evaluated KEY2 color except blue. KEY1 type female chose all the KEY1 color as well-matched colors, and KEY2 type female chose KEY2 color. The well-matched colors are similar between male and female subjects. In over 80 percentage of the answers, the preferred colors coincided with well-matched colors. KEY1 type persons chose KEY1 color, and KEY2 type person chose KEY2 color as the well-matched color. • A health index was proposed that evaluates personal health state from both measured physiological variables and survey questions. Four health indices were defined such as cardiovascular index, stress index, obesity index, and management index. The total health index was calculated by summing these four health indices. Physiological variables such as blood pressure, heart rate variability(HRV), accelerated photoplethysmograph(APG), and body fat percentage were non-invasively measured and a survey questionnaire that asks personal health state, exercise intensity, and food preference was developed. The suggested health index was applied to thirty eight persons including 30 patients and 8 normal persons with an average age of 51.8. The average health index was estimated to be 75.1 out of 100 points. Young age group(below 50) and men group showed higher health indices than the aged(over 50) and women groups. The correlation coefficient between the cardiovascular index and stress index was found to be 0.513, which means stress is related to cardiovascular health state. The correlation coefficient between the measurements and survey questions was 0.385 for the cardiovascular index. It was as low as 0.182 for the stress index. More case studies may improve correlations between measurements and survey questions, and then, the current health index system may develop as an effective tool to evaluate personal health state.
