Revitalizing the Young Venture Entrepreneurship through Grounded Theory (근거이론에 기반한 청년 벤처 창업 활성화 방안 연구)

  • The Government of South Korea is actively promoting entrepreneurship policies to help solve an age old problem of unemployment; however, the unemployment rate of youth entrepreneurship remains at a low. Primarily due to the government fragmented policies that are unable to solve the daily difficulties young entrepreneurs undergo. Therefore, this study aims at deriving a modern solution to an age old problem that exists through the use of co-creation by first interviewing young entrepreneurs to help derive a paradigm model. The model was developed through a grounded theory approach to help strengthen the young venture entrepreneurs. The results revealed that majority of the young entrepreneurship revitalization policies had exclusive participation structure, allowing only a selected few: complex policies of various government departments, short-term funding, one-size-fits-all training and support, lack of follow-up support policies after start-up, excessive administrative requirements, and performance-oriented fragmented support. Concluding that the policies were unrealistic and ineffective for the entrepreneurs. Accordingly, the result suggests that Co-creation entrepreneurship revitalization policy, based on the experiences of entrepreneurs, will need to be established to formulate an effective policy that provides practical assistance to the entrepreneurs in the field.

An Approach to the Logistics Outsourcing Factors of the Korean Companies (한국 기업의 물류아웃소싱 활용요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to understand the conditions for using logistics outsourcing of Korean enterprises, present existing problems, examine factors affecting utility, and analyze the pattern of logistics outsourcing based on contract term, and to ultimately contribute to enhancing competitiveness of logistics enterprises. Through the literature survey 8 factors were identified as three broad factors of corporate strategy, corporate characteristics, and environment. Factor analysis was conducted on the bases of 155 collected data among 400 distributions for 2 months from April to May in 2008. From the result of analysis, the implication and finding can be summarized into three aspects. Firstly, Korean companies value factors relative to corporate strategies as motivating factors for logistics outsourcing. Secondly, Korean companies consider logistics outsourcing depending on how to handle customers' demands and the severity of competition. Thirdly, it was found that product and organization characteristics are perceived as more important when contract term with logistics business is longer. The implications can be observed into two aspects. Firstly once the logistics outsourcing between manufacturers and logistics companies are determined, it was verified that mutual agreement, particular contracts and periodic communications can increase the outcome. Secondly the logistics outsourcing appeared to be different depending on the level of entering to foreign market and resulted in higher performance as well.

  • The accurate estimation of construction cost is important to a successful development in construction projects. In previous studies, the construction cost are estimated by statistical methods. Among the statistical methods, support vector regression (SVR) has attracted a lot of attentions because of the generalization ability in the field of cost estimation. However, despite the simplicity of the parameter to be adjusted, it is not easy to find optimal parameters. Therefore, to build an effective SVR model, SVR's parameters must be set properly without additional data handling loads. So this study proposes a novel approach, known as genetic algorithm (GA), which searches SVR's optimal parameters, then adopt the parameters to the SVR model for estimating cost in the early stage of apartment housing projects. The aim of this study is to propose a GA-SVR model and examine the feasibility in cost estimation by comparing with multiple regression analysis (MRA). The experimental results demonstrate the estimating performance based on the percentage of estimations within 25% and find it can effectively do the accurate estimation without through the trial and error process.

  • This paper was focused on the efficient management of landscape woody plants, and concerned itself with their important role in the urban environment. Based on the philosophy that there is nothing that can be done without an inventory, the purpose of this study was to develop an inventory system and iris proper application to a site for establishing a management plan Two different approaches were used, The first was to make a newly structured inventory system through collecting, analyzing, and evaluating various types of inventories used in Korea, the U. S. A., and Japan. The second approach was to apply a newly designed inventory system to the case study area. using GIS 'as a tool of spacial analysis and statistics for making decisions. The results could be summarized as follows; 1. In Korea, most of the Landscape Woozy Plants Inventories had datas which represented possession of trees, and only the work which they had done according to their traditional ways, There was no data related to the conditions, management needs, and site conditions of individual trees, This is essential information for organizing an inventory system . 2. There needs to be data which is balanced, containing tree characteristics and site characteristics. Through such information the management needs could be adjusted properly. The inventory list described in this paper was determined by botanical identity, placement condition, condition of tree, and types of work for maintaining as well as improving the condition of each tree One of the most important things was to determine the location data of each tree so as to compare data with other trees. The data gained from the field survey still had some problems because of lack of scientific method for supporting objective views, and because of actual situations, especially in the field of evaluating site conditions and management needs. All data should be revised to fit a computer data management system , if possible 3. The GIS(Geographic Information System) application showed good performance in handling inventory data for decision making. All the data used for the GIS application was divided into location and non-spatial data. Using the location data, it was easy to find the exact location of each tree on the monitor and on the maps generated by the computer even in the actual managed trite, along with various attribute data. Therefore it could be said that the entire management plan should start from data of individual trees with their exact locations, for making concrete management goals through actual budget planning.

  • In the near future, many countries, including the Republic of Korea, will face a significant increase in low level radioactive waste (LLW) from nuclear power plant decommissioning. The purpose of this paper is to look at blending as a method for enhancing disposal options for low-level radioactive waste from the decommissioning of nuclear reactors. The 2007 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission strategic assessment of the status of the U.S. LLW program identified the need to move to a risk-informed and performance-based regulatory approach for managing LLW. The strategic assessment identified blending waste of varying radionuclide concentrations as a potential means of enhancing options for LLW disposal. The NRC's position is that concentration averaging or blending can be performed in a way that does not diminish the overall safety of LLW disposal. The revised regulatory requirements for blending LLW are presented in the revised NRC Branch Technical Position for Concentration Averaging and Encapsulation (CA BTP 2015). The changes to the CA BTP that are the most significant for NPP operation, maintenance and decommissioning are reviewed in this paper and a potential application is identified for decommissioning waste in Korea. By far the largest volume of LLW from NPPs will come from decommissioning rather than operation. The large volumes in decommissioning present an opportunity for significant gains in disposal efficiency from blending and concentration averaging. The application of concentration averaging waste from a reactor bio-shield is also presented.

A Study on Lambertian Color Segmentation and Canny Edge Detection Algorithms for Automatic Display Detection in CamCom (저속 카메라 통신용 자동 디스플레이 검출을 위한 Lambertian 색상 분할 및 Canny Edge Detection 알고리즘 연구)

  • Recent advancements in camera communication (CamCom) technology using visible light exploited to use display as an luminance source to modulate the data for visible light data communication. The existing display-CamCom techniques uses the selected region of interest based camera capturing approach to detect and decode the 2D color coded data on display screen. This is not effective way to do communicate when the user on mobility. This paper propose the automatic display detection using Lambertian color segmentation combined with canny edge detection algorithms for CamCom in order to avoid manual region of interest selection to establish communication link between display and camera. The automatic display detection methods fails using conventional edge detection algorithms when content changes dynamically in displays. In order to solve this problem lambertian color segmentation combined with canny edge detection algorithms are proposed to detect display automatically. This research analysed different algorithms on display edge recognition and measured the performance on rendering dynamically changing content with color code on display. The display detection rate is achieved around 96% using this proposed solutions.

  • 최근 대부분의 회사들은 업무를 수행하는데 필요한 지식과 노하우를 공유하고 재사용하기 위하여 지적 자산 관리의 중요성을 인식하고 있다. 특히 고도로 지식 집약적인 업종이라 할 수 있는 IT컨설팅 회사에서는 지적 자산의 관리가 다른 어떤 회사에서보다 큰 중요성을 가지게 된다. 컨설팅 회사에 있어서 검증이 완료된 지적 자산의 공유 및 지능적이면서도 신속한 검색은 컨설팅 서비스의 품질과 고객 만족에 직결되는 중요한 요소이다. 따라서 대부분의 컨설팅 회사들은 자사의 지식 자산을 관리하기 위하여 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 IT 컨설팅 회사예서 관리되는 다양한 형태의 지적 자산들을 중앙 관리하여 설친 고객 사이트에 흩어져 프로젝트를 수행하는 컨설턴트들이 공유할 수 있도록 함으로써 컨설팅 서비스의 생산성과 품질들 높이고자 하는데 있다 이를 위하여 건설팅 회사에서 관리되는 모든 지적 자산의 재고를 조사하여 모델링하고 이를 쉽게 저장하고 검색할 수 있는 시스템 아키텍처를 제안한다. 제안된 아키텍처를 NT 기반에서 Index server를 이용하여 시스템으로 구현하였다 (KMSCR: A Knowledge Management System for managing Consulting Resources). A Quantative Evaluation Method of the Quality of Natural Language Sentences based on Genetic Algorithm (유전자 알고리즘에 기반한 자연언어 문장의 정량적 질 평가 방법)

  • 본 논문에서는 자연언어 문장의 객관적 정량적인 질 측정 방법의 구축에 대해 설명하고, 이를 문장 퇴고 시스템의 사례에 적용해 본다. 문장의 질을 평가한다는 것은 본질적으로 주관적이고 정량화가 어려운 작업이기 때문에, 이 과정에서 질의 객관적 계량화가 가능한지 여부가 가장 중요한 문제가 된다. 이 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 진화적 접근 방법을 통해 객관적이고 정량적인 질의 측정 공식을 유도하는 방법론을 제시하였다. 이 논문에서 제시한 방법론의 핵심은 간단히 말해서 사람이 행하는 정성적인 판단을, 이에 가장 근접하는 정량적 측정 체계로 전환시키는 것이라고 보면 된다. 이것을 위해 정량화 문제를 문장의 단순 언어 특징들의 변화값을 이용한 최적화 문제로 환원시키고, 다시 이 최적화 문제를 유전자 알고리즘을 이용해 해결함으로써 문제를 효과적으로 해결할 수 있었다. 실험 결과를 보면, 본 논문에서 제시한 최적화 방법은 주어진 훈련용 예제와 검증용 예제 중 각각 99.84%, 99.88%를 만족시키는 해를 찾아내었으므로 정량적 질 평가 공식의 유도에 매우 효과적임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 도출된 측정 공식을 이용해서 실제 퇴고 시스템 평가에 적용한 결과 문장 질의 측정에 매우 유용하게 이용될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같이 질의 정량적 평가가 가능하다는 사실이 갖는 또 한가지 중요한 의미는 최종 사용자의 구매 의사나 개발자의 공학적 의사 결정을 위한 객관적 성능 평가 자료의 제공에 이 방법이 유용하게 사용될 수 있다는 점이다.Abstract This paper describes a method of building a quantitative measure of the quality of natural language sentences, particularly produced by document revision systems. Evaluating the quality of natural language sentences is intrinsically subjective, so what is most important as to the evaluation is whether the quality can be measured objectively. To solve such problem of objective measurability, genetic algorithm, an evolutionary learning method, is employed in this paper. The underlying standpoint of this approach is that building the quality measures is a task of constructing a formulae that produces as close results as can to the qualitative decisions made by humans. For doing this, the problem of measurability has been simply reduced to an optimization problem using the change of the values of simple linguistic parameters found in sentences, and the reduced problem has been solved effectively by the genetic algorithm. Experimental result shows that the optimization task satisfied 99.84% and 99.88% of the given objectives for training and validation samples, respectively, which means the method is quite effective in constructing the quantitative measure of the quality of natural language sentences. The actual evaluation result of a revision system shows that the measure is useful to quantize the quality of sentences. Another important contribution of this measure would be to provide an objective performance evaluation data of natural language systems on a basis of which end-users and developers can make their decision to fit their own needs.

A Centralized Deployment Protocol with Sufficient Coverage and Connectivity Guarantee for WSNs (무선 센서 네트워크에서 유효 커버리지 및 접속성 보장을 위한 중앙 집중형 배치 프로토콜)

  • Reducing power consumption to extend network lifetime is one of the most important challenges in designing wireless sensor networks. One promising approach to conserving system energy is to keep only a minimal number of sensors active and put others into low-powered sleep mode, while the active sensors can maintain a connected covet set for the target area. The problem of computing such minimum working sensor set is NP-hard. In this paper, a centralized Voronoi tessellation (CVT) based approximate algorithm is proposed to construct the near optimal cover set. When sensor's communication radius is at least twice of its sensing radius, the covet set is connected at the same time; In case of sensor's communication radius is smaller than twice of its sensing radius, a connection scheme is proposed to calculate the assistant nodes needed for constructing the connectivity of the cover set. Finally, the performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated through theoretical analysis and extensive numerical experiments. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms the greedy algorithm in terms of the runtime and the size of the constructed connected cover set.

Hand Region Tracking and Fingertip Detection based on Depth Image (깊이 영상 기반 손 영역 추적 및 손 끝점 검출)

  • This paper proposes a method of tracking the hand region and detecting the fingertip using only depth images. In order to eliminate the influence of lighting conditions and obtain information quickly and stably, this paper proposes a tracking method that relies only on depth information, as well as a method of using region growing to identify errors that can occur during the tracking process and a method of detecting the fingertip that can be applied for the recognition of various gestures. First, the closest point of approach is identified through the process of transferring the center point in order to locate the tracking point, and the region is grown from that point to detect the hand region and boundary line. Next, the ratio of the invalid boundary, obtained by means of region growing, is used to calculate the validity of the tracking region and thereby judge whether the tracking is normal. If tracking is normal, the contour line is extracted from the detected hand region and the curvature and RANSAC and Convex-Hull are used to detect the fingertip. Lastly, quantitative and qualitative analyses are performed to verify the performance in various situations and prove the efficiency of the proposed algorithm for tracking and detecting the fingertip.
