The importance of project performance management as an alternative for solving problems is rising, which are followed by the difficulties of managing construction project in the construction industry. This research classifies and applies the potential improvement made by the construction practitioners. In order to apply influential factors for success on the construction project, the research identifies the relationship between the factors and performance management practices. In addition, in order to predict the results reflecting the project characteristics which are un-improvable by the construction managers in the initial stage of construction, the effect of project characteristics to the identified management practices have been drawn by performance area. Finally, in order to improve the predicted performance, this research provides a framework in setting valid best practices according to the performance areas through a statistical analysis between the best practices and project characteristics through the industry survey.

The effect due to group delay and non linear characteristics in high speed data satellite channel was represented in this paper. Purpose: This study verified the influence of teachers' job characteristics on empowerment and job performance, and the mediating effect of empowerment in the relationship between job characteristics factors and job performance. Research design, data, and methodology: As a factor influencing human resources that influence organizational success or failure, job characteristics induce an important psychological state in organizational members, which affects individual motivation and job satisfaction, thereby achieving the goal of securing stable management and job security. In this study, a questionnaire survey of private academy instructors was conducted and reliability and factor analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used. Results: The purpose of this study was to understand the effect of the job characteristics of academy instructors on empowerment and job performance, and to verify whether empowerment plays a mediating role in the relationship between job characteristics and job performance. Conclusions: As a result of verifying Hypothesis 1, the educational environment, expertise, and social support of academy instructors all had a significant positive (+) effect on job performance. As a result of the verification of Hypothesis 2, empowerment greatly mediated the relationship between the educational environment, expertise, and job performance. However, empowerment did not mediate the relationship between social support for academy instructors and job performance.

This study tested the effect of the board of directors' (BOD) characteristics on the corporate performance of the Jordanian industrial and service companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) during the period 2015-2019. The characteristics of the BOD were measured through the following variables: MO = managerial ownership; CEODU = CEO duality; BI = board independence; GD = gender diversity; ND = nationality diversity; AE = advanced education; BM = board meetings; BSIZ = board size; CSIZ = corporate size; CA = corporate age. The corporate performance was measured by return on assets (ROA) and return on equity (ROE). The corporate size and corporate age were used as control variables. The study sample consisted of 85 industrial and service companies with 425 observations to identify the nature of the effect of the BOD characteristics on performance. This study applied time-series data (panel data), and the multiple linear regression method was used to achieve study objectives. Results showed a positive effect of the study variables on performance, while the corporate age and the education level (BOD members) have a negative effect on performance.

This study analyzed the effect of the factors of introducing information technology(organizational and environmental characteristics) on non-financial performance. As detailed variables of each characteristic, the technical support/task force, users' IT capability, and education/training were used for the organizational characteristics while the degree of competition, external pressure, and uncertainty of environment were used for the environmental characteristics. In the results of the analysis, such factors like technical support/task force, users' IT capability, and education/training of the organizational characteristics had significant influence on non-financial performance. Also, factors such as degree of competition, external pressure, and uncertainty of environment of the environmental characteristics had significant influence on non-financial performance.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the strategic direction of organizations and their employees to efficiently utilize smart factories and enhance business performance among Korean manufacturing companies. Research design, data, and methodology: We derived a structured research model to check the mediated effect of utilization of smart factory between the characteristics of smart factory and the innovation activities. Results: Quality characteristics of smart factory and Innovation activities were all found to have a statistically significant effect on utilization of smart factory, utilization of smart factory was found to have a statistically significant effect on the business performance. And it has been shown that the utilization of smart factory is partially mediated relative to the quality characteristics of smart factory and business performance and relative to innovation activities and business performance. Conclusions: Smart factory builders can reflect the areas that affect utilization of the smart factory in their strategies by considering the quality characteristics of the smart factory and innovation Activities. Therefore, smart factory builders can identify the quality characteristics of smart factory and reflect them in the process and analyze active utilize measures through the innovative activities of the employees of the organization, thereby influencing business performance.

This study focuses on examination a) of impacts of entrepreneurs' psychological characteristics on business performance (need fur achievement and risk-taking propensity), b) of impacts of entrepreneur's competency characteristics(vision, opportunity recognition, social deftness, frequency of networking and reliability) on business performance, and c) of controlling impacts of business incubator on the relationship between entrepreneurs' characteristics (psychological characteristics and competency) and business performance. According to a study, among entrepreneurs' psychological characteristics, need for achievement has a significant impact on business performance, whereas risk-taking propensity is found to have no significant impact on business performance. In addition, among entrepreneurs' competency characteristics, vision, social deftness, and network reliability have no impact on business performance, whereas opportunity recognition and frequency of network have an impact on business performance. On the other hand, need for achievement has a negative impact on controlling business incubator services. Business incubator services have a significant impact on the relationship between vision, network reliability and business performance.

This study explores hedge fund characteristics that affect hedge fund performance, namely, fund size, fund age, and performance fee. Previous studies have examined relationships between hedge fund characteristics and fund performance using singular and static thinking to report inconsistent findings without providing full understanding of the causal relationships among variables. To identify that comprehensive causal relationships between hedge fund characteristics and hedge fund performance, this research applies the system dynamics perspective, which allowed demonstration of the interactions within the overall system beyond the singular causal relationships between hedge fund characteristics and performance found in existing traditional research. This study contributes to existing literature in the following ways. First, it overcomes the limitations of singular research methodologies by looking at the integrated system of hedge fund characteristics and fund performance from a bird's eye view based on their dynamic feedback relationships. Second, policy suggestions in terms of regulation and education are presented as growth strategies for the sustainable development of the Korean hedge fund market.

This paper investigates the effect of independent directorship on the firm performance of Chinese listed companies under the impact of the global COVID-19 epidemic. The study starts by assessing the relationship between independent director-related characteristics and firm performance, then mines independent director characteristics variables, collects variable data, proposes reasonable hypotheses, and constructs a data model. 1597 companies listed on Shanghai and Shenzhen stock index, China, from 2020 to 2021 has been selected as the research sample. An empirical study on the relationship between independent directors' characteristics and firm performance was conducted using SPSS25. The results show that under the impact of the global COVID-19 epidemic, the proportion of independent directors on the board of directors, the age of independent directors, the remuneration of independent directors, and the overseas background of independent directors in Chinese listed companies have a negative relationship with the current firm performance, while the proportion of female independent directors and the part-time rate of independent directors do not have a positive effect on firm performance. The findings of this study strongly imply that independent directors' characteristics play a significant role in corporate governance and firm performance in Chinese listed companies and that the external environment has an impact on how well independent directors can carry out their duties.

Purpose This study aims to analyse the impact of the development of fintech and the emergence of internet primary banks due to the increasing use of smartphones on the performance of traditional local banks from both financial and non-financial perspectives. Return on equity (ROE) and return on assets (ROA) are used to assess the performance differences between the two types of banks and how these differences are affected by their financial characteristics. Design/methodology/approach Using return on equity (ROE) and return on assets (ROA) as indicators, we identified the differences in operating performance between the two types of banks. In addition, this study analysed the impact of financial characteristics on profitability through regression analysis with various control variables. We further studied the impact of non-financial characteristics (customer reviews, social media reactions, etc.) on operating performance. Findings The net interest margin ratio of local banks had a positive impact, while the marketable securities ratio of Internet primary banks had a negative impact. The non-financial analysis shows that the number of customer reviews and social media reactions have a significant impact on the performance of Internet primary banks, suggesting that customer satisfaction and positive market perception are important factors in the performance of Internet primary banks.
