This study examined users' awareness to establish futurity of libraries and to propose strategies in the era of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution. For this purpose, the awareness survey was conducted of users, and the survey consisted of questions about the awareness of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution, the current state of using technologies and devices of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution, and the futurity of libraries of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution. The results are as follows: First, users were interested in the $4^{th}$ industrial Revolution, but they thought that new technologies are poorly adopted in the libraries. Second, users were most frequently using mobile phone, QR code, and Beacon. Especially, mobile phone was a most frequently used device in the libraries. However, users were not satisfied with technologies and devices provided by the libraries. Third, users expected the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution have a positive influence on future of libraries, but they were worried about losses of opportunities and jobs. Forth, users agreed with necessity of new technologies of the $4^{th}$ Industrial Revolution for libraries services. They wanted application of the technologies, expecially, in online services. Ultimately, this study suggested some meaningful insights and strategies through comparative analysis of the above findings and librarians' awareness survey results.

This study was carried out on specialized library librarians to investigate the status and overall satisfaction of specialized services and to compare the degree of importance and satisfaction of specialized subject data, specialized service places, specialization programs, specialized subject area facilities and environment based on ISA technique in order to derive problems and improvement measures for the operation of specialized libraries. As results, first, it was found that a specialized library subject should be selected based on the characteristics, history, and resources of the library location as well as based on the demand survey of the local residents and users. Second, based on the appropriate program type of specialized subject and the results from users' demand surveys, specialized libraries should develop different types of experience-type, lecture-type, view-type and the likes. Third, specialized library space types can be divided into integrated type, independent-in-integration type, and independent type. Even though it is most ideal to provide independently specialized space, the space must be constructed considering the circumstances and subject of specialization of each library. Fourth, specialized libraries should have at least one dedicated specialist in the corresponding subject. Dedicated specialists should provide lending and reference services related to the specialization such as tidying, browsing, reading and operating specialized programs. And a dedicated specialist must be an expert in the specialized subject and also a librarian who is responsible of the general library operation.

This study was conducted to discuss concrete ways to contribute to the sustainability of the planet by actively applying and using digital and IT resources in libraries. To this end, a survey was conducted for librarians of public libraries, and the results were as follows. First, librarians' awareness of the seriousness of environmental problems and the degree of eco-friendly activities were very high, but their awareness of library green IT and familiarity with eco-related terms were very low. Nevertheless, there was a high degree of agreement on the importance of applying green IT to libraries. Second, the areas evaluated as having the highest contribution to eco-friendliness and greening of the library were found in the equipment and product operation area, followed by the service area and the network and system area. Third, how do you think library green IT will have a social impact? The highest opinion was given that it could increase the awareness of the library's social responsibility as a social infrastructure. In conclusion, it seems that the library's green IT can contribute to improving library perception by making the public perceived as an institution that has a social responsibility as a social infrastructure.

This study tried to suggest the revitalization plans for specialized libraries by referring to various issues regarding specialized libraries in the sense that the issue of specialized libraries can soon become an opportunity for the development of specialized libraries. Through literature analysis, problems and issues related to specialized libraries were derived, and the perception of librarians was investigated through surveys. The policy directions presented based on the results are as follows. First, the 'Library Development Plan' should strengthen the part related to the specialized library development plan. Second, topic maps for specialized libraries in Korea are needed.(Second, the topic map for specialized libraries in Korea is needed.) Third, it is also necessary to operate to configure multiple councils based on the distinction between the specialized library. Fourth, an analysis of the duties of specialized library librarians should be made. Fifth, professional information services that specialized libraries can perform need to be developed. Sixth, among the information resources owned by specialized libraries, it is necessary to find ways to establish and jointly utilize information resources that are valuable and shareable as national resources. Seventh, specialized libraries should allow every library to participate in library evaluation, and make improvement plans for specialized libraries based on the collected data. Eighth, it is also necessary to publish a collection of best practices for specialized libraries.

The study investigated the Integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to the Library and Information Science Curriculum: The Practicum in Library Schools in Rivers State. Descriptive survey design was used with a population 374 comprising 21 LIS educators and 353 Four Hundred Level Library and Information Science Students from University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education Port Harcourt. Census sampling technique was used to select the LIS educators and purposive sampling technique was used to the select the Four Hundred Level LIS students. Questionnaire and checklist were used for data collection. 90% and 97% responses were found valid for analysis for LIS Educators and LIS students respectively. The study was analyzed using mean rating, standard deviation and simple percentage. The study revealed that ICT courses were integrated into LIS curriculum in Library schools in Rivers State but LIS educators lacked the ICT skills to teach ICT practicum consequently, the students were not properly taught ICT practicum. However, students had positive perception of ICT practicum. Notwithstanding, lack of ICT skills, poor policy implementation, lack of state-of-the-art infrastructure and nonchalant attitudes of staff towards the adoption of ICT constituted the challenges faced in the implementation of ICT practicum. The study therefore, recommended that the management of library schools in Rivers State should implement ICT practicum by hiring competent staff maybe from computers science department to teach the practicum for the interim. Subsequently, recruitment of librarians should include strictly ICT compliant.

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the user's using status and the perception of librarian gathered through a survey of university library cooperation, in order to address the problem and to suggest a solution for it. The questionnaires are consisted of population characteristics, a satisfaction of the library information material, awareness of the library cooperative activities, user's experiences and application degree of them, and the needs for the improvement of the activities. ANOVA, t-test and chi-square test were used for examination of hypothesis in the study. In conclusion, users satisfaction of information materials having in their library was lower than 50% and they were not aware of library cooperative activities. However, they agreed on the need of the service with the high percentage. Librarians were aware that the lack of information materials which pointed out by users, and recognized that they have not given them enough informations as well as guidance for the library cooperation.

The purposes of this study is to identify the perception of students' use of university libraries' public relations activities using Instagram and propose ways to improve the operation of university libraries' Instagram. To this end, the status of Instagram operations of domestic and foreign university libraries was investigated, and a survey was conducted on 292 students who used the library Instagram of their universities. Based on the research results, first, it is necessary to promote the use of libraries by using 'Library Events' information closely related to the use of Instagram by students, but planning ways to participate that can lead to practical use of libraries. Second, it is necessary to promote the role of librarians through Instagram and utilize daily communication information in order to positively affect library image recognition. Third, it is necessary to guide users on how to inquire on library Instagram and actively respond to communication with users through periodic post uploads and monitoring.

The 3rd Library Development Plan raises the need to secure space through the establishment of a regional repository library as the issue of holding books is highlighted as a common problem in public libraries. The Korean Library Law Act also impose the responsibility of integrated management of local library materials on the regional representative library. Accordingly, this study aimed at Busan Metropolitan Library, which is operating a collaborative repository in earnest among regional representative libraries, and investigated the operation status of the collaborative repository and the perception of public librarians about the collaborative repository. The data necessary for the study were obtained through surveys, interviews, field surveys, and internal data analysis. Through this, the purpose of this study was to provide basic data that will help the Busan Metropolitan Library to operate the collaborative repository efficiently in the future, and at the same time, to present basic data that can be used as a reference for the operation of the collaborative repository of the representative libraries of other regions.

The purpose of this study is to survey the reading reality of comic books for learning in elementary schools, to research the perceptions of students and their parents to reading comic books for learning, and to suggest the methods which librarians and teachers make use of the comic books for learning in their classes. For doing this, firstly 3 elementary schools were chosen and every school, 4 classes from 3rd year to 6th year, total 12 classes' students and their parents were searched. As the results of this, it's revealed that most of students have experiences of reading the comic books which are circulated in school libraries, etc., and both groups of students and their parents thought the comic books to help their academic achievement, and they have the thought that the reading comic books induce themselves to read the other normal books for more informations. It's suggested that the comic books for learning should be thought of the important media for teaching learning, and be utilized as the media for normal reading attitude s and habits of students in elementary school libraries.

Recently, subject specialized service has been suggested as a solution to overcome a difficulty of library management and to meet the quickly changing needs of library users. Introduction of subject specialized service is raised to be introduced to special libraries and efficient management system is required. However, systematic study on the subject specialized service is very rare. This study investigates and analyzes how subject specialized service is operated in korean special libraries and how subject specialist librarians recognize them. In order to analyzes and investigate, 8 special libraries was selected to survey general management of subject specialized service, recruitment and training issues of subject specialist librarian, their duties and overall evaluation and problem of subject specialized service. Finally the study attempts to suggest development strategies in order to improve subject specialized service in special libraries.
