The technology acceptance model (TAM) is a lot of cited in information technology adoption and usage researches. TAM has a base in psychological research, is parsimonious, explains usage behavior quite well, and can be operationalized with valid and reliable instruments. But TAM has been conducted primarily in volitional environments of the adoption of new technology. This paper discusses technology acceptance in accounting information systems to examine TAM with subjective norm and perceived behavioral control in mandated using environments. The results show that in mandatory environments such as accounting information systems, subjective norm is not a significant effect on the behavioral intention. Perceived usefulness and perceived behavioral control are significant the factor on the behavioral intention. The implications of finding are that perceived usefulness and perceived behavioral control play major role in technology acceptance rather than subjective norm in accounting information systems with mandatory environments.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of 6-wk low intensity exercise program on fatigue, perceived health state, exercise-related affect, perceived benefits, and exercise self-efficacy for female college student's. The subjects of the study consisted of thirty-four female college students. The research subjects were assigned to experimental and control group. The experimental group participated in 13-17 and 30-60 minute sesseions of exercise program over 6 weeks. Data analysis was done by t-test with SAS program. The results of this study are as follows. 1) The first hypothesis, “The fatigue of experimental group will be lower than control group”, was supported. 2) The second hypothesis, “The perceived health state of experimental group will be higher than control group”, was not supported. 3) The third hypothesis, “The exercise-related affect of experimental group will be higher than control group”, was not supported. 4) The fourth hypothesis, “The benefits of exercise of experimental group will be higher than control group”, was not supported. 5) The fifth hypothesis, “The self-efficacy for exercise of experimental group will be higher than control group”, was supported.
This study examined different individual and parental factors that affect children's achievement motivation. For an analysis, perceived competence, intrinsic locus of control were included in individual variables. For parental variables, parental support and achievement pressure and marital conflict were examined. The sample consisted of 561 fifth and sixth grade children. Statistics and methods used for the data analysis were Cronbach's alpha, Factor analysis, frequency, percentage, Pearson's correlation, and Hierarchical Regression. Several major results were found from the analysis. First, girl's achievement motivation was higher than boys. No age difference was found between fifth and sixth grade. Second, boy's and girl's achievement motivation had a positive correlation with perceived competence, intrinsic locus of control, parental support and achievement pressure but a negative correlation with parental marital conflict. Third, important variables predicting boy's and girl's achievement motivation were perceived academic competence, parental achievement pressure and perceived social competence. Important variables predicting boy's individual and social oriented achievement motivation were perceived academic competence and parental achievement pressure. On the other hand, important variables predicting girl's individual oriented achievement motivation were perceived social competence, perceived academic competence, intrinsic locus of control and parental achievement pressure. Important variables predicting girl's social oriented achievement motivation were parental achievement pressure, perceived academic competence and mother's support.
This descriptive correlational study was done to identify ICU nurses' intention to use restraints and related factors using Ajzen and Madden(1986)'s Theory of Planned Behavior. Self-reported questionnaires were used to measure intention and related factors. The subjects of this study were 287 ICU nurses in 21 general hospitals with at least 200 beds at Taegu, Pusan and Kyungbuk area in Korea. The results of this study were : 1. There were significant differences in intention according to age and marnital status, attitude according to educastion(with indirect measure), subjective norm according to career in ICU(with both measures), perceived behavioral control according to age and career in ICU(with direct measure), and knowledge according to education and position. 2. There were significant correlations among intention and all factors. Intention was correlated with attitude(r=.2119), subjective norm(r=.1112), and perceived behavioral control(r=.3448) with direct measure. Attitude was correlated with subjective norm(r=.2530), perceived behavioral control(r=.3005), and knowledge(r=.1388) with direct measure. Subjective norm was correlated with perceived behavioral control(r=.1321) with direct measure. Intention was correlated with attitude(r=.1496) and perceived behavioral control(r=.2922) with indirect measure. Attitude was correlated with subjectivenorm(r=.2829) and knowledge(r=-.1390) with indirect measure. Also, subjective norm was correlated with perceived behavioral control(r=.2363) with indirect measure. 3. ICU nurses' intention to use restraints was explained 16.7% by perceived behavioral control, attitude with direct measure, control belief, and age. By this study, it was foundr that ICU nurses reported high level of intention to use restraints. The most important predictor of intention to use restraints was perceived behavioral control toward using restrains, which reflected the easiness and difficulty in the use of restraints.
Objective: The current study aimed at examining the mediation effects of children's self-esteem and self-control in learning between perceived academic achievement at $4^{th}$ grade and $6^{th}$ grade. This article proposes that perceived academic achievement boosts self-esteem and self-control in learning and both in turn, influence subsequent perceived academic achievement. We especially attempted to empirically prove that a serial multiple mediation of self-esteem and self-control in learning between the perceived academic achievement at two time points exists. Methods: We analyzed the longitudinal data of 1,881 children from the $4^{th}$ to the $6^{th}$ wave data of the '2010 Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS)' by means of a Hayes's PROCESS(2012) program. Results: The results revealed that perceived academic achievement at $4^{th}$ grade influenced children's self-esteem and self-control in learning at $5^{th}$ grade. Children' self-esteem and self-control in learning subsequently predicted perceived academic achievement at $6^{th}$ grade. Children's self-esteem significantly predicted self-control in learning supporting the hypothesis of serial multiple mediation. Conclusion/Implications: In conclusion, children's self-esteem and self-control in learning behaviors both mediated the association between perceived academic achievement at $4^{th}$ grade and at $6^{th}$ grade. The findings imply the importance of consideration of both psychosocial and behavioral aspects in understanding the academic performance during childhood.
The information system control includes organizational structure, control mechanism, and management tools which contribute to accomplish the goals of information system: asset safeguarding, data integrity, effectiveness, and efficiency. Information system audit is the process to evaluate whether the information system accomplishs the goals. Information system auditor examine the reliability of information system control and suggest recommendations to improve the information system control. Both information system control and information system audit activities contribute to prevent and detect the computer crime for the organization. This paper proposes a causal model of information system control/audit and the perceived risk of computer crime, and tests the model using a survey on 38 financial institutions in Korea. Statistical results show that information system control and audit significantly reduce the computer crime risk perceived by the user group. The general control has a stronger impact than the application control. In addition, it turns out that the greater the deviation between the importance and the actual level of information system control is, the higher the perceived risk of computer crime is.
Purpose: This study aims to explore the critical factors in the quality control activities of agricultural products in e-commerce companies and analyze how these factors affect customers' perceived value and repurchase intention. Finally, it further reveals the mediating role of perceived value between the factors of quality control activities of agricultural products and customer repurchase intention. Research design, data and methodology: This study identified six independent factors within agricultural product quality control activities: freshness, assurance, diversity, grading, packaging, and timeliness. Subsequently, the impact of these factors on customer repurchase intention was analyzed. Additionally, perceived value was considered as an intermediary variable between the independent and dependent variables. Data was gathered from 269 Chinese consumers who had experience purchasing on agricultural product e-commerce websites. Results: The study results indicate that the relevant factors within agricultural product quality control activities strongly influence customer repurchase intention, with perceived value mediating this relationship. Conclusions: The significance of this study lies in its exploration of the relevant factors within agricultural product e-commerce's product quality control activities. It identifies their impact on customer repurchase intention and confirms the mediating role of perceived value. The results of this research offer valuable insights and practical guidance for academics in related research fields and practitioners in the agricultural product e-commerce industry.
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among the internal locus of control, perceived family support, family cohesion, family adaptability, and children's social behaviors. The subjects were 285 6th and 8th grade students and their homeroom teachers. A questionnaire was used as survey method. Data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan post test. and multiple regression. The results are as follows: First, internal locus of control was positively related to social competence and negatively related to antisocial behavior. Perceived family support, family cohesion and adaptability were positively related to social competence and negatively related to antisocial behavior. Second, girls were higher internal locus of control, family cohesion, family adaptability and social competence and lower in antisocial behavior than boys. The 8th graders had lower scores than 6th graders in perceived family support, family cohesion, family adaptability and social competence and higher level of antisocial behavior. Third, perceived family support and family adaptability impacted social competence in girls, and grade impacted social competence in boys. Grade, perceived family support and locus of control had significant effects on the antisocial behavior in boys, and perceived family support impacted antisocial behavior in girls.
