택지개발사업에서의 지구단위계획지침이 거주자만족도에 미치는 영향 - 대구광역시 죽곡 택지개발사업지구를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Effects of Urban Design Guideline on Resident's Satisfaction at Jukgok Newtown District in Daegu)

  • Urban design is a specific and detailed action plan which regulates from the development plan to the architectural characteristics of every building and now many new towns by Urban design has been developed after 2000. But recently doubts about the effectiveness of Urban design have been raised in locals. The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of urban design in terms of residents, through case study and the survey of resident's satisfaction on Urban design guidelines. The result of survey of resident's satisfaction on Urban design were above-average satisfaction. And main factors influencing to the resident's satisfaction are the public infrastructure factors, transportation factors, development density factors, and pedestrian environment factors, urban landscape factors. And the total satisfaction was most influenced by the public infrastructure factors among the five factors. To improve the effectiveness of urban design, it is necessary to build specific planning and guidelines to the general.

Picocell 시스템의 보행자 통화량 모델링 및 분석 (Traffic Modeling and Analysis for Pedestrians in Picocell Systems Using Random Walk Model)

  • Traffic performance in a microcellular system is much more affected by cell dwell time and channel holding time in each cell. Cell dwell time of a call is characterized by its mobility pattern, i.e., stochastic changes of moving speed and direction. Cell dwell time provides important information for other analyses on traffic performance such as channel holding time, handover rate, and the average number of handovers per call. In the next generation mobile communication system, the cell size is expected to be much smaller than that of current one to accommodate the increase of user demand and to achieve high bandwidth utilization. As the cell size gets small, traffic performance is much more affected by variable mobility of users, especially by that of pedestrians. In previous work, analytical models are based on simple probability models. They provide sufficient accuracy in a simple second-generation cellular system. However, the role of them is becoming invalid in a picocellular environment where there are rapid change of network traffic conditions and highly random mobility of pedestrians. Unlike in previous work, we propose an improved probability model evolved from so-called Random walk model in order to mathematically formulate variable mobility of pedestrians and analyze the traffic performance. With our model, we can figure out variable characteristics of pedestrian mobility with stochastic correlation. The above-mentioned traffic performance measures are analyzed using our model.

  • This study is focusing on Territoriality which is supposed to be one of the most important elements to activate open spaces in apartment communities. Case analysis with onsite visit is selected as the research method of this study targeting 6 apartment complexes in Bukgu and Gwangsangu, Gwangju city which accommodate over 500 households up to 800 households, which show high occupancy ratio and which were built after 2006 to minimize the physical environment variable. The result of this study is concluded as follows. First, we need the elements which can induce various action and the use of floor surface in color, pattern, and material should be considered in the stance of pedestrian for easy recognition of Territoriality change. Second, To secure the view, we should consider to plant shrubs or to plant trees wider apart. In most cases, enclosure is secured by using trees of Vertical Boundary for safety and comfort, but overuse in some cases make residents feel fear of enclosed spaces and insecurity. Third, Various and harmonious design elements can be recommended to increase aesthetic impression, to induce positive response for design, and to be used consistently. Finally, Unique space using notable landmark or design elements should be considered.

  • Power demand has continuously increased with technological and economical development. The load density is also growing in the center of downtown area. In particular, underground facilities have been increased on the purpose of the prevention of urban disasters and pedestrian environment improvement. Based on this situation, the underground space in urban surroundings has gradually decreased because of the limited space. The ampacity of buried cables is affected by various factors such as cable size, soil thermal resistance, burial depth and filling material. The thermal capacity of the facilities is determined by the absorb heat surrounding the cable and the soil. The maximum operating temperature of cable is the highest temperature when the insulator of cable is not damaged in the case of high enough temperature. In this paper, the most effective cabling configuration is suggested using the duct array adjustment. It was also considered to increase the number of cable line. This underground distribution system was simulated by using ETAP(Electrical Transient Analysis Program).

제어 가능한 카메라 환경에서 실시간 다수 물체 검출 및 관심 보행자 추적 (Real-Time Multi-Objects Detection and Interest Pedestrian Tracking in Auto-Controlled Camera Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 획득된 영상을 분석하여 움직이는 다수 물체를 검출하고, 카메라를 자동 제어하여 관심 보행자만을 추적하는 시스템을 제안한다. 다수 물체 영역 검출은 차영상과 이전변환 밀도값을 이용한다. 검출된 다수 물체 영역에서 사람의 구조적 정보와 형태 정보를 이용하여 나무들의 흔들림으로 인한 영역이나 차량의 움직임 영역은 제거되고, 관심 보행자 영역만을 검출하였다. 관심 보행자 추적은 무게중심 차를 이용한 움직임 정보와 k-means 알고리즘으로 구한 세 점의 평균 색상 정보를 이용한다. 원거리 관심 보행자는 인식률을 높이기 위해 줌을 실행하여 확대하고, 관심 보행자의 화면상 위치에 따라 카메라 방향을 자동으로 조정하여 관심 보행자반을 연속적으로 추적한다. 실험 결과, 제안한 시스템은 실시간으로 움직이는 다수 물체를 검출하고, 사람의 구조적 특정과 형태 정보로 관심 보행자만을 검출할 수 있었고, 움직임 정보와 색상정보로 관심 보행자를 연속적으로 추적할 수 있었다.

  • The purpose of this research is to find applicable design characteristics of communal spaces in multi-family houses. With this goal, international multi-family housing projects are selected and their communal spaces are identified. The purpose of study lies in analyzing on recent 10 years trends of shared space of multi-family houses in Europe, Japan, central America. The design characteristics of the communal spaces are analyzed with a special focus on the four Aspects such as Organization of space, access roads, parking, pedestrian movement In terms of the framework for analysis, community, rest, separability, rambling, territory, distribution, entrance, openness, view, prospect and aesthetic characteristics are reviewed. As a result, the communal space of the analysis are integrated in plans and sections throughout the multi-family houses. Openness and connection with surrounding urban environments are articulated by communal spaces. Communal identities and aesthetics are emphasized by various space for dweller and the other inhabitant. For a further research, it is necessary to combine a design method study with new multi-family houses for the future.

A Comparison between In-situ PET and ENVI-met PET for Evaluating Outdoor Thermal Comfort

  • Purpose: PMV, PET, and similar thermal comfort indices and microclimate modeling have recently become actively used to evaluate thermal comfort. This study will look at pedestrian roads with diverse spatial characteristics on university campus using the ENVI-met model as the base for onsite measurement. Method: The PET was used as the thermal comfort index. The first microclimate measures were collected on September 20, 2014, and the second microclimate measures were collected on June 1, 2015. The ENVI-met model was used at the same time. Result: As a results, Onsite measurement results differed depending on the PET spatial characteristics. The location associated with the most discomfort had a PET of $47.8^{\circ}C$. The spatial characteristics of this place included a with no shade. The most comfortable location had shade, and the PET was $24.6^{\circ}C$. When the ENVI-met model and onsite measurements were compared, similar patterns were found, but with a few differences at specific points; this was due to the limitation of using input materials such as trees, buildings, and covering materials with the ENVI-met model. This factor must be thoroughly considered when analyzing modeling results.

퍼지 기법을 이용한 다수 레이저스캐너 기반 객체 인식 알고리즘 (Object Classification Algorithm with Multi Laser Scanners by Using Fuzzy Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 레이저스캐너만으로 이루어진 감지 시스템을 이용하여 도로 위에 있는 객체의 위치를 추정하고 분류하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 각각의 레이저 스캐너에서 획득한 데이터는 그리드 맵을 사용하여 데이터를 융합하였으며, 팽창 연산과 레이블링 방법을 사용하여 측정 오차를 보정하였다. 추출한 객체의 정보(길이, 폭)를 입력으로 사용한 퍼지방법을 통해 객체를 보행자, 자전거, 차량으로 분류하였으며, 이러한 방법은 레이저스캐너로만 이루어진 감지 시스템의 정확도를 증가시켰다. 또한 본 논문에서는 실제 도로 환경에서 몇 가지 시나리오를 설정하여 실험을 하였다. 실험을 통해 감지 시스템이 객체를 정확히 분류하는지, GPS-RTK 장비를 사용하여 획득한 위치 정보와 비교하여 객체의 위치 정보를 정확히 추정하는지 검증하였다.

  • 최근 단말간 직접 통신이 가능한 단말대단말 통신 기술이 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 따라서 단말대단말 기술이 셀룰러 통신 시스템 및 차량 통신 시스템에 접목되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Evolved Packet Core Network 기반 단말 탐색 시뮬레이터 개발에 대해서 살펴보고, Proximity기반 서비스의 차량간 애드혹 네트워크로의 적용 가능성에 대해서 살펴보았다. 개발된 시뮬레이터를 활용한 성능 분석을 통해서 유저들이 비슷한 위치에 모여 있는 환경, 즉대중교통과 비슷한 환경에서 LTE 네트워크의 트래픽이 Wi-Fi통해 단말대단말 통신으로 효율적으로 오프로딩될 수 있고 교통 관련 정보 멀티캐스팅에 효율적으로 활용될 수 있음을 보였다.

Effects of Security Lighting Lamps on Discomfort Glare to Indoor Occupants

  • Purpose: Although security lights are used to secure pedestrian visibility and safety at nighttime, they can generate light trespass in the neighboring residential space. To prevent this, standards for acceptance limits on vertical illuminance and light pollution by the windows of residential buildings are presented. Method: This study thus representatively selected three types of lamps and, through an evaluation and analysis of the physical and subjective discomfort glare per lamp, proposed a discomfort glare index for each lamp. The evaluation and analysis according to the lamps were conducted through experiments. The variables were the security lights' lamps (NH 100W, MH 70W, LED 50W), installation angles ($0^{\circ}$, $20^{\circ}$), and installation distances (3m, 5m, 7m, 9m). Result: According to the results of the discomfort glare evaluation depending on the angles and distances of the security lights, the following minimum standards are proposed: for NH 100W, a discomfort glare index of 30 and an installation distance of 4m; for MH 70W, a discomfort glare index of 32 and an installation distance of 4m; and, for LED 50W, a discomfort glare index of 31 and an installation distance of 6m, respectively. In addition, this paper recommends the use of MH 70W, when the road width is 4m-6m, and LED 50W, when the road width is over 6m, respectively.
