대형기관 모사 정적연소실에서 매립지 가스의 연소특성에 대한 연구 (II) - 연소 분석 - (Combustion Characteristics of Landfill Gas in Constant Volume Combustion Chamber for Large Displacement Volume Engine (II) - Combustion Analysis -)

  • 본 논문은 대형 상용기관을 모사한 정적연소실에서 매립지 가스의 연소 특성에 대한 복수의 논문 중 두 번째로, 연소압력 측정을 기반으로 연소과정을 해석하였다. 해석 결과 연소에 유리한 조건일수록 두 개의 압력 정점이 존재하며, 이는 연소에 의한 열발생과 열전달에 의한 냉각효과의 상호 작용이며 두 정점의 크기는 미연가스 분율에 따라 달라진다. 또한 연소과정 중 열발생에는 4개의 주요 변곡점이 발생하고, 이는 점화위치로부터 화염전파에 따른 전열 면적 변화과정이 주원인이며 연소에 불리한 조건일수록 변곡점은 증가하고 열발생은 복잡한 형태를 지니는데, 이는 연소기간 연장이 주원인이다. 결론적으로 점화위치와 관련된 화염전파 과정 및 전열 면적의 변화과정 그리고 대형 연소실에 의한 연소기간 연장의 효과가 상호 복잡하게 작용하면서 매우 특이한 형태의 열발생 곡선이 생성된다.

$MgO/H_2O$ 계 화학식 열펌프의 열적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Thermal Characteristics of a $MgO/H_2O$ Chemical Heat Pump)

  • The chemical heat pump based on the Dehydration/Hydration process with a MgO/$H_2O$ system has been researched. The reactor bed could be expected to store the heat around 200∼37$0^{\circ}C$ by the dehydration reaction and to release the heat around 100∼16$0^{\circ}C$ by the hydration reaction under the heat amplification mode operation. The heat output rate of the heat pump system was evaluated using the experimentally determined parameters. The results show that 6∼50 W/kg of heat output and 0.5∼0.8 of heat recovery ratio are attainable. The heat pump will be applicable for a load leveling in a co-generation system by chemical storage of surplus heat at low heat demand and by supplying heat in the peak load period.

목분-고밀도폴리에틸렌 복합체의 연소성 및 열적특성 (Combustion Characteristics and Thermal Properties for Wood Flour-High Density Polyethylene Composites)

  • 본 연구에서는 목분-HDPE 복합체를 모듈라 회전 이축압출기를 이용하여 제조하여 연소성 및 열적특성을 평가하기 위하여 콘칼로리미터 실험및 열중량 분석실험을 실시하였다. 그리고 복합체의 난연성능 향상을 위하여 난연제(3종)를 첨가한 복합체의 화재성능을 평가하였다. 콘칼로리미터 실험 결과 난연제를 첨가하지 않은 복합체의 열방출률이 가장 높았으며 최대 열방출률 값은 $446.6kW/m^2$, 평균 열방출률 값은 $185.5kW/m^2$으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 열중량 분석 결과 난연제 첨가한 복합체들의 열분해가 먼저 시작되고 열 안정성을 향상시켰다.

Visualization of Diesel and GTL Spray Combustion and Soot Formation in a Rapid Charging Combustion Vessel with Shadowgraph Method

  • In this study, visual investigation of sprays and flames has been performed and soot formation in Diesel and GTL fuels has been compared in a specially designed Rapid Charging Combustion Vessel (RCCV) under various ambient gas $O_2$ concentrations and two injection pressures. It has been concluded that soot in the mixing-controlled combustion of Diesel and GTL fuels has similar tendency to be formed in the leading portion of the jet boundaries. Auto-ignition delay for GTL fuel is shorter than that for diesel fuel. The temporal and special variation of soot concentration in the diesel flame jets at various $O_2$ concentrations was correlated with the heat release rate. Soot concentration appears in the regions when diffusion combustion starts, and its concentration reaches maximum at the peak of heat release curve and then decreases due to oxidation. Visualization by shadowgraph method showed that soot decreases with lower $O_2$ concentration, and higher injection pressure.

팽창흑연을 사용한 복합재료의 난연 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study for the Fire Retardant-Characteristics of Expandable Graphite Composite Materials)

  • In this study, the composite material of expandable graphite was made to the material development for improving such as a composite material of the sandwich panels or material properties of a fire door and was tested by the ISO 1182, ISO 5660-1(Cone calorimeter Method). For the test, the composite material of expandable graphite, what the expandable graphite ratio was increased by respectively 0g~30g, was classified A1,A2, A3, A4, and made to the test specimens. Through cone calorimeter test, peak heat release rate(HRR) and total heat release(THR), expanded thickness and expansion rate of each composite material of expandable graphite, and fire prone crack and mass loss rate after burning was measured. Thus, the effect of the addition of the expandable graphite and whether is suitable for reference as a fire retardant, was analyzed. Consequently the correlation of THR and fire retardant performance rate was confirmed.

암모늄염 처리 베니어의 연소특성 (Combustion Chracteristics of Veneers Treated by Ammonium Salts)

  • 실온에서 베니어에 ammonium chloride, ammonium sulfate, monoammonium phosphate, 그리고 diammonium phosphate와 같은 암모늄염으로 도포하고, 도포된 베니어의 물리적 성질과 가연성을 조사하였다. 암모늄염로 처리된 베니어의 가연성을 평가하기 위해서, ISO 5660-1 표준에 따른 콘칼로리미터를 이용하여 베니어의 열방출율을 측정하였다. 암모늄염으로 도포된 베니어판은 미처리된 순수 베니어판에 비하여 가연성을 감소시켰다. 도포된 베니어의 flashover 가능성은 R. V. Petrella에 의한 분류 방법에 따라서 착화시간과 최대열방출율을 이용하여 시험하였다. 비중측정 결과 ammonium sulfate로 처리한 베니어의 비중만 미처리 베니어보다 더 높았다. 또한 암모늄염으로 도포된 베니어는 무처리된 순수 베니어보다 낮은 평형함수율을 보였다.

합성목재의 연소특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Combustion Characteristics of Wood-Plastic Composites)

  • 주거 건축 및 가구산업의 자재로써 합성목재(Wood-Plastic Composites)는 점차 각광받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 합성목재의 연소특성을 살펴보기 위하여 한계산소지수 측정(ASTM D 2863) 및 콘칼로리미터 시험(ISO 5660-1)을 실시하였으며 또한 일반목재인 적송과 방부 처리를 한 방부목에 대하여도 동일한 시험을 통하여 합성목재와의 연소특성을 비교.검토하였다. 한계산소지수 측정결과 합성목재가 적송 및 방부목에 비해 낮게 측정되었다. 콘칼로리미터 시험결과 합성목재의 열방출률이 가장 높았고 또한, 최대 열방출률 및 평균 열방출률, 총 방출열량도 적송 및 방부목에 비해 높게 나타났다.

소규모 주거 공간 실물화재실험을 통한 적재 가연물의 연소특성 분석 (An Analysis of Combustion Characteristics of Residential Facilities through Real Fire Tests in a Small Residential Space)

  • In this study, real fire tests were performed on representative combustibles of residential facilities to analyze the fire behavior and combustion characteristics in a small residential space. The considered combustibles were a sofa, a combination of a desk and a chair, and a combination of a mattress and an electric mat. A compartment space fire test was performed using the room corner test equipment prescribed in the KS F ISO 9705 specification. Three real fire tests were conducted by placing the combustible material inside a small compartment with insulation and finishing materials and by igniting the combustible material. Results showed that the peak heat release rate and peak smoke production rate occurred in the combination of the mattress and electric mat. Furthermore, from the result of the fire rate analysis, it was estimated that the fire risk of the mattress and electric mat combination was the highest, followed by the sofa and thedesk and chair combination.

  • The heat transfer and thermal stress analysis was performed on the ceramic core of the matrix-type recuperator. The efficiency was calculated as 34% to 65%. Triple-pass arrangement provided higher preheated air temperatures, lower thermal stresses and the increase of pressure drops. Higher temperature gradients and maximum peak stresses appeared on the corners of the ceramic core. The effect of boundary conditions was significant and the use of spring-load sealing mechanism could release thermal stresses.

파일럿 분사시의 커먼레일식 직분식 가시화 디젤엔진의 연소 및 Soot분포 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Combustion Characteristic and Soot Distribution of a Common Rail Type D.I.Diesel Visualized Engine with Pilot Injection)

  • The objective of this work is to investigate the effect of swirl, injection pressure and pilot injection on D.I. diesel combustion by using a transparent engine system. The test engine is equipped with common rail injection system to obtain high pressure and to control injection timing and duration. In this study, the combustion analysis and steady flow test were conducted to estimate the heat release rate from in-cylinder pressure. Soot distribution in diffusion flame according to swirl ratio, injection pressure and pilot injection was investigated by using LII technique. As the results, high injection pressure was found to shorten ignition delay as well as enhance peak pressure and heat release rate was greatly affected by injection timing and pilot injection. In addition, the results showed that the period of soot formation corresponded to the diffusion flame.
