When you convert word processor files with large amounts of input data to PDF files in on/off line, current PDF conversion solutions do one of the source files to perform the conversion task in the Windows PDF virtual printer environment. Depending on the size of the original PDF file conversion speed to convert PDF to do a large amount of different and if you are performing a very slow speed. When you convert files to PDF in this sequence, depending on the capacity of the original file, PDF conversion rate is different, if automating a mass conversion to the PDF, the speed is very slow. In this paper, the PDF conversion which can use the Windows Terminal Server from one Windows Server when performing a PDF conversion processing of the source file, to create a multi-session Terminal, to perform the PDF conversion process at the same time was studied.

The influence of the data deletion method which is one of anti-forensic techniques is substantial in terms of forensic analysis compared to its simplicity of the act. In academic world, recovery techniques on deleted files have been continuously studied in response to the data deletion method and representatively, the file system-based file recovery technique and file format based recovery technique exist. If there's metadata of deleted file in file system, the file can be easily recovered by using it, but if there's no metadata, the file is recovered by using the signature-based carving technique or the file format based recovery technique has to be applied. At this time, in the file format based recovery technique, the file structure analysis and possible recovery technique should be provided. This paper proposes the page recovery technique on deleted PDF file based on the structural characteristics of PDF file. This technique uses the tag value of page object which constitutes one page of PDF file. Object is extracted by utilizing each tag value as a kind of signature and by analyzing extracted object, the metadata of PDF file is recombined and then it's reconfigured page by page. Recovering by page means that even if deleted PDF file is damaged, even some pages consisting of PDF file can be recovered. Generally, if the file system based file is not recoverable, deleted file is recovered by applying the signature based carving technique. The technique which we proposed in this paper can recover PDF files that are damaged. In the digital forensic perspective, it can be utilized to recover more data than previously.

어도비 애크로뱃 7.0의 출시와 PDF/X의 ISO 규격화 등에 의해 전 세계적으로 PDF에 의한 전자 데이터 입고가 증가되고 있다. 그러나 국내 출판 인쇄업계에서는 PDF/X에 대한 관심은 높아지고 있으면서도 여전히 PDF에 의한 데이터 입고는 소수에 불과하다. 이에 본지에서는 일본의 PDF 워크플로우의 실용화 현상과 가이드 라인 제정의 움직임에 대해 소개한다.

Peptide deformylase (PDF) is essential and unique to bacteria, thus making it an attractive target for the discovery of novel antibacterial drugs. PDF deformylates the N-formylmethionine of newly synthesized polypeptides in prokaryotes. In this study, a pdf gene from Staphylococcus aureus 6538p was cloned in pET-14b vector and PDF protein was over-produced in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3). NH$_2$-terminal His-tagged PDF protein was purified by nickel-nitrilotriacetic acid (Ni-NTA) metal-affinity chromatography. Enzymatic activity of purified 6xHis-tagged PDF was tested on the substrate (formyl-Methionine-Alanine-Serine) by formate dehydrogenase-coupled spectrometric assay of peptide deformylase. For the discovery of new PDF inhibitors from chemical libraries and culture broths of soil bacteria, a target-oriented screening system using a 96-well plate was developed. About 3,000 commercial chemical libraries were tested in this screening system, and 2 chemicals (0.07％) among them showed an inhibitory activity against PDF enzyme. This result showed that a new screening system can be used for the discovery of new PDF inhibitors.

전문 데이터베이스를 구축하는 방법은 이미지, ASCII, HTML, SGML PDF 등으로 구분할 수 있다. 특히 PDF는 구축이 용이하고 제한된 기능이기는 하지만 비교적 저렴한 비용으로 전문 데이터베이스를 구축할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리말의 지원이 가능한 Zwon사의 PDF 포맷을 이용하여 학위논문을 대상으로 데이터베이스를 구축하였다.

This article is a study on methods of digitalization for eider books using PDF (Portable Document Format) supported by Acrobat 4.0 which was introduced in April of 1999. Acrobat 3.0 has caused many problems in supporting Korean language or Hangul. However, the revised 4.0 version of this software made the conversion of Korean, Japanese and Chinese language possible due to its support by the multi-language fonts. Therefore, it Is possible to converse and to edit the text file of older books written with Hangul. The Acrobat Reader, the viewer of PDF, can be downloaded for free from its website. However, the digitalized text of older books by PDF has still some problems. But the user can retrieve the text of older books from the Internet easily.

PDF를 전문적으로 개발.공급하고 있는 유니닥스(주)(대표 정기태). 2000년 8월에 (주)코아기술에서 분석한 이 업체는 ‘PDF의 국산화’라는 캐치프레이즈를 내걸고 맥용 ezPDF Gate 1.0을 발표하게 된다. 동년 10월, (주)한글과컴퓨터에 OEM 방식으로 납품을 시작해 롯데 캐논(2001), 국회(2002), 외환은행(2003), 노동부(2004) 등의 거래처를 확보했다. 또 올 1월, ezPDF Builder Lite 출시에 이어 3월부터 ezPDF Bzone(웹북 서비스)를 개설, 본격적으로 국내 S/W 시장에 진입했다. 정기태(42) 사장을 통해 국내 PDF 시장의 흐름과 기술 현황, 향후 진로에 대해 조명한다.
