The skin is the largest organ of the integument system whose surface is closely related to many physiological and pathological conditions. The skin surface is closely related to functional status of the epidermis and dermis. The outermost surface of the skin shows characteristic pattern defined by small furrows are called micro-relief. The micro-relief change is according to physiological and pathological conditions of the skin. But, there is no data on health Korean skin micro-relief yet. This study presents some aspect of health Korean skin micro-relief from the twenties. The silicon replicas obtained from forearm, dorsum hand and finger were analyzed by profiles were accessed by stereoscopy. We measured density of furrow, width of furrow, and depth of furrow in micro-relief with sectioned silicon replica sample using stereoscope. Stereoscopic analysis showed that male group has a larger density of furrow and depth furrow in finger significantly. The densities of furrow were shown different not only between forearm and finger but also between finger and hand in male with female group. In conclusion, there were differences results between sex different and regional difference in skin replica profile. These quantitative data can be used for basis of further skin research for Korean.
An experiment was conducted to examine environmental influences upon the behavioral pattern of pigs. The resting areas of an enclosed growing-finishing pig house were checked in two seasonal ventilation systems, and the excretion habit of pigs influenced by the different closing rates (50, 75 and 100%) of side walls of pens was surveyed. 1. The excretion habit of pigs was not influenced by temperature, humidity and the flow speed of running air as they excreted in a fixed area of the side walls. However, the lighting effects on the excretion habit was observed because pigs excreted in the darkest area of the pig pen. 2. The accumulated height and width of feces showed 10 and 30 cm; 5 and 25cm; and 3 and 20cm for 50, 75 and 100% of closing rates of side walls, respectively. It indicates that pigs excrete all over the floor in the pen with 100% closed side walls. 3. Ammonia concentrations of the resting areas on the pen floor were determined to 4.2, 5.1 and $5.8mg/{\ell}$ for 50, 75 and 100% of closing rates of side walls, respectively. It indicates that the ammonia concentration was highest in the pen with 100% closed side walls. Thus, the high ammonia concentration of the resting areas could be reduced by illuminating the darker areas with relation to the excretion habit. 4. The flow speed of running air was likely the biggest factor influencing the resting areas of pigs; pigs took a rest at the place of 0.04 m/s air flow speed point during midwinter, and at the place of 0.24 m/s air flow speed point during midsummer.

In the present work, a mechanical performances under cyclic loading in RC (Reinforced Concrete) beams with normal steel and FRPH (Fiber Reinforced Plastic Hybrid) bar are investigated. For the work, RC beam members with $200{\times}200{\times}2175mm$ of geometry and 24 Mpa of design strength are prepared, and 4-point-bending tests are performed for evaluation of cracking, yielding, and ultimate loads. Through static loading test, 48.9kN and 36.0 kN of yielding loads are measured for normal RC and FRPH beam, respectively. They have almost same ultimate load of 50.0 kN. Typical tension hardening behavior is observed in FRPH beam, which is caused by the behavior of FRPH bar with tension hardening. In cyclic loading conditions, FRPH beam has more smaller crack width and scattered crack pattern, and it shows more elastic recovery than normal RC beam. The energy dissipation ratio in FRPH beam is 0.83, which is greater than 0.62 in normal RC beam and it shows more effective resistance to cyclic loadings.
Purpose: The change of the marginal bone around dental implants have significance not only for the functional maintenance but also for the esthetic success of the implant. The purpose of this study was to investigate the load transfer of internal conical joint type implant according to marginal bone resorption by using the three-dimensional finite element analysis model. Materials and methods: The internal conical joint type system was selected as an experimental model. Finite element models of bone/implant/prosthesis complex were constructed. A load of 300 N was applied vertically beside 3 mm of implant axis. Results: The pattern of stress distribution according to marginal bone resorption was similar. The maximum equivalent stress of implant was increase according to marginal bone resorption and the largest maximum equivalent stress was shown at model of 1 mm marginal bone resorption. Although marginal bone loss more than 1mm was occurred increasing of stress, the width of the stress increase was decreasing. Conclusion: According to these results, the exposure of thin neck portion of internal conical joint type implant is most important factor in stress increasing.
Recently, as the demand for transmission of ultra-high quality media data such as UHD, AR, and VR increases, various technologies for this have been actively developed and IEEE 802.11ad standard have been commercialized. In this paper, a test bed is constructed to analyze the indoor wireless environment using the IEEE 802.11ad standard based on mmWave, and the experimental results of various indoor wireless environments are introduced and analyzed. We compared the data from the module by data transmission, such as signal to noise ratio(SNR) and throughput. And we measured the beam pattern and width of the module and compared the effects on the indoor environment of the corridor and the office. This shows that the signal reflection of the wall shows higher SNR values and is more suitable to use for indoor than outdoor. It is confirmed that the loss when not in line of sight(LoS) is not enough to compensate the wall reflected signal. As a result, it is judged to be suitable for the indoor use of the mmWave LAN and can be usefully used for further experiments.
The ADCP is an instrument based on Doppler effect, which measures discharge of a river in a short time while crossing it. In this study we aim to make a comparison of the discharge results from a moving-vessel ADCP with those measured by velocity-area method at the same cross-section, and to investigate the characteristics of velocity and discharge data using ADCP. Bathymetry measured by ADCP almost coincides with that by direct depth measurements. Because velocity data from ADCP are essentially instantaneous, individual velocity profiles obtained by ADCP are rather different from time-averaged velocity profiles. But spatially averaged velocity profiles of the individual ADCP data near the comparable verticals have similar vertical velocity pattern with the time-averaged ones. The average velocity profile from repeatedly crossed data is also similar with the time-averaged one. In case of the velocity distribution, individual and spatially averaged data for the sub-width of mid-section method Have good agreement with those by velocity-area method. Discharge data determined by averaging several ADCP measurement transects have $0.1\%{\~}9.3\%$ of difference with those from velocity-area method, and as the number of measurement increases, the relative difference to the velocity-area method decreases.

This study was conducted to improve the postharvest storage techniques of managing and storing seeds, to test qualities and viabilities of the seeds and to examine the germination rate and the protein expression of Achyranthes japonica Nakai. The seeds collected from different areas of Je-Cheon and Gwang-Ju were stored with different temperatures and durations. Two plant growth regulators and two seed priming were treated to investigate their effect on the germination rates and the days required for germination. The weight of one hundred seed collected in Gwang-Ju was heavier than those in Je-Cheon. Seed length collected in Gwang-Ju was also longer about 5.12 mm than those in Je-Cheon about 4.90 mm and seed width was longer in Gwang-Ju than those in Je-Cheon. The rates of seed germination in two different collection areas were higher about 2.9 to 13.0% in Gwang-Ju compared to those in Je-Cheon. Comparing its rates with the storing temperatures and durations, they were not clearly different in between $4^{\circ}C$ and $25^{\circ}C$ and they also were gradually decreased with getting longer storing durations. The germination rates treated by plant growth regulators were higher with $GA_3$ than those with Kinetin. The highest seed germination rate was appeared at 50 ppm of $GA_3$. Comparing its rates with different seed priming, they were relatively higher with $KNO_3$ than those with PEG6000. In protein expression patterns between before the germinating and after the germinating of seeds, more and clear bands were appeared in the seed after the germination compared to those before the germination of seeds, especially 10 ~ 20 kDa. These results showing more and clear bands were more clearly appeared in Gwang-Ju compared to Je-Cheon. Comparing the protein expression with plant growth regulators and seed primings, $GA_3$ was better expression than those with Kinetin and $KNO_3$ was better than those with PEG6000. More and clear bands were closely related to the germination rates of seeds and more detailed studies would be required.
Ten high-strength concrete beam specimens, which have various combinations of different types of flexural reinforcement and short fibers were constructed and tested. Six beams were reinforced with two layers of steel, CFRP, and GFRP bar combinations. The other four beams were reinforced with two layers of single type CFRP and GFRP bars, with steel and synthetic short fibers. An investigation was performed on the influence of the parameters on the load-carrying capacity, post cracking stiffness, cracking pattern, deflection behavior, and ductility. The low post cracking stiffness, large deflection, deep crack propagation, large crack width, and low ductility of FRP bar-reinforced beams were controlled and improved by positioning steel bars in the inner layer of the FRP bar layer. In addition, the addition of fibers increased the first-cracking load, ultimate flexural strength, and ductility as well as the deep propagating cracks were controlled in the FRP bar-reinforced concrete beams. The increased ultimate concrete strain of fiber-reinforced concrete should be determined and considered when FRP bar-reinforced concrete members with fibers are designed.
The needs for high strength structural materials have recently increased, because construction and cost efficiencies are demanded by the costumers. But, the use of high strength reinforcing bars requires longer development and splice lengths compared to normal strength bars. This restriction may cause reduction in construction efficiency and require more complicated details. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the bond strength on the rib shape of reinforcing bars to decrease development and splice lengths of high strength reinforcements. Total of 5 simple beam specimens were tested, and the main test variable was a rib shape of reinforcing bars. Test data was analyzed in the viewpoint of bond strength, load-deflection relationship, and crack pattern. Test results indicated that the bond strength of high relative rib area reinforcing bars increased up to 11% compared to normal strength reinforcements. And the improved rib shape reinforcements, which were formed with high and low height rib, increased the bond strength up to 23% even though the relative rib area was same as the high relative rib area reinforcements. Serviceability performances such as deflection number of cracking, and maximum crack width were similar in all specimens, so it is safe to conclude that the improved rib shape reinforcements can be applied to the structural members.
This study is purpose to trace a genealogy of Rainbow stripe in 30 ethnic costumes in East Asia. And with through comparative views between Korean and the other minority that is shown a bilateral relation of rainbow stripe in their costume, we make sure the unique character of rainbow stripe in Korean traditional costume. The stripe in the costumes was generally used on sleeves with 3~6 patches. There were 10 types of methods for making the stripe including sewing. Weaving and sewing with trimming was also frequently used either and the stripe by weaving with multicolored yarns were mostly found in the southern region of china. Black, blue and red were frequently used in the costume as a main color that was contrasted with rainbow stripe and especially, black was mostly used. Korean preferred bright colors as a main color. Contents of the genealogy of the multicolored stripe in ethnic costume in East Asia are followed. The 28 ethnic groups who used the stripe in their dress except Korean, the Mans, Mongo people and Tibetan were located in the southern region of East Asia. And the other ethnic groups distributed in the northwest and northeast region of East Asia. The distribution of the rainbow stripe in the costume could be grouped into two sections: the southern region people and Korean-the Mongol people-the Tus- the Zangs group. And the latter group was shown strong relation with the culture of Korean's rainbow stripe costume. 11 ethnic peoples including Korean, the Vis, the Miaos, the Tus, the Mongol people, the Chaoxians, the Zangs, the Lahus, the Jinuos, the Hanis, the Luobas and the Dulongs, were saliently used the stripe in their costume. The stripe in Japanese costume was judged that was not a kind of the rainbow stripe was shown the other ethnic groups, was a color arrangement by layered dress or geometrical pattern. From above, we could recap a particular characteristic of the rainbow stripe in Korean traditional costume. Many colors were used in the stripe and bodies than the other ethnic people and the color was bright. In many cases, a color of patch at the point of armhole was red and Black color was not used in the stripe. The width of patch was a relatively narrow and regular. It has shown that the rainbow stripe in Korean traditional costume was organized independently.
