  • In order to study the variations of isoperoxidases of four parts of L. cyrtobotrya, leaves, secondary phloem, fibrous root, ovary were collected on september 29, 1975, respectively from 12 individuals which were planted in the compound of Institute of Forest Genetics, suwon, Korea. No variation of isoperoxidases appeared among the same parts which were collected from the same individual. There was a great variation in the pattern of isoperoxidase band among the 12 individuals in leaves, secondary phloem, fibrous root, and ovary. Regarding to the common occurrence band, the number was 7 in the leaves, secondary phloem, and fibrous root, while 35 bands were appeared in the ovary part. These was a great variation of occurrence band in four parts of Lespedeza. But the number of band in the parts of the Lespedeza was 4.50-5.16 on average, on the other hand there was no significant difference. No variation was observed in the activity of isoperoxidase in leaves. On the other hand, there was small varation in the secondary phloem, fibrous root and ovary.

  • This study aims to characterize the effect of different combinations of chromatic-achromatic colors and 1:2:3 area-ratio variation of stripe necktie, and gender on the image of male wearer. The experimental materials developed for this study are a set of stimuli and response scales. The stimuli consist of 84 color pictures manipulated with every combination of 12 different colors and 7 different area-ratio. The 7-point scale designed for visual evaluation of image formation included 26 bipolar adjectives. The subjects were 2016 undergraduate students in Gyeongnam, Seoul, Busan, and Daegu areas. The results of this study were as follows. The analyses of images of male wearer in terms of combinations of chromatic-achromatic colors and I :2:3 area-ratio variation of oblique stripe necktie reveal that the concerned factors are of five characteristic dimensions of youth-activity, ability, attractiveness, appeal, and warmness. In addition, it has been found that individual images of male wearer are affected by observer's gender as well as combinations of chromatic-achromatic colors and 1:2:3 area-ratio variation of stripe neckties and that those images vary with every combination of each factor. The study results are highly expected to be used as useful sources in developing necktie designs.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Dot Pattern Size(0.8, 1.8, 2.5, 5, 8), color combination(W/Bk, Bk/Gr, Gr/W), Area-Ratio(Background/Dot, Dot/Background) on wearing dot-printed dresses image. Sets of stimulus and response scales(7 point semantic) were used as experimental materials. The stimuli were 30 color pictures manipulated with the combination of Dot Pattern Size, color combination, and Area-Ratio using computer simulation. The subjects were 180 female undergraduates living in Gyeongnam-do. The data was analyzed by using SPSS program. Analyzing methods were ANOVA and LSD test. Image factor of the stimulus was composed of 5 different components, visibility, chastity, attractiveness, cuteness and feminity. Among them, the visibility and chastity were important. Each dimensional image was affected by dot pattern size, color combination and Area-Ratio. In the visibility image, color combination(W/Bk is the most effective) is more influential, the larger size is effective pattern. In the cuteness and feminity image, area ratio(low-brightness dot pattern is the more effective) is more effective than color combination or dot pattern size. Even the same dot pattern size and area was recognized as different image depending on the area ratio. According to the variation of dot pattern size, color combination and area-ratio, it was investigated that the images for a dress wearer were expressed diversely, were shown differently in image dimensions, and could be produced to different images.

  • In this paper, we examine discharge characteristics of cross-linked polyethylene (since then; XLPE) according to thickness. Voltage was applied to power frequency by step method, and calibration of discharge was set to 50[pC] (slope=8.333). After the voltage was applied, for 10 [sec] (600 [cycle]), occurring discharge and number were detected. Determine of input pattern is difficult because discharge pattern is irregular. Therefore we investigated pattern using the K-means Analysis and Weibull function. Also we investigated variation of centroid and cluster.

  • This study described the general pattern of genetic variation among ten teak (Tectona grandis Linn. f.) provenances in Myanmar and determined the most suitable seed sources for the plantation program in Bago Yoma region. Seeds of ten provenances were collected to cover the whole teak natural distribution in Myanmar and planted at four trial sites in Bago Yoma region in 1998. Seven years after planting, variation was assessed for growth, morphological characteristics and their correlation with geoclimatic factors. Statistical analysis using ANOVA revealed that there were significant differences in most of the traits measured among provenances, trial sites and provenance ${\times}$ site interaction at five percent level. A positive significant correlation (p<0.01) was found among most of the traits. The regression analyses between all traits and geoclimatic factors indicated the existence of ecoclinal variation in teak. Most of the traits were negatively correlated with the latitude while a positive significant correlation was found between longitude and C/B ratio, crown-diameter, average branch angle and leaf-remain. There was no significant correlation between the mean temperature and any other traits in this study. Furthermore, growth traits and crown diameter were positively correlated with the mean annual rainfall while negative correlation was found between the geographical distance and growth traits. Results indicate that the latitudinal pattern of teak genetic variations in growth performance was attributed to the limit of mean annual rainfall. Comparative assessment showed that local provenances were generally the best and could be use as suitable seed sources for the plantation program in the Bago Yoma region.

  • In case of favourable irradiation conditions, the ratio of irradiation to the total irradiation went up and then the irradiation increased in the area with high angle of inclination. The study showed that on a clear day with the irradiation of more than $800[W/m^2]$, the pattern of alternating current power change in the fixed system was similar with that in the single-axis tracker. On the contrary, in case of unfavourable irradiation conditions, the ratio of diffuse irradiation to the total irradiation went up and then the horizontal irradiation increased. In the demo system, the fixed system, the single-axis tracker and the dual-axis tracker all had low generation power and similar generation pattern with each other. The study showed the generation power varied with the irradiation in the fixed system, while in the single-axis tracker and the dual-axis tracker, the amount of the generation power variation was much more than the irradiation variation. The demo system was operated from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for generating power, during which time, 46[%] to 56[%] of the total generation power was produced. In this study. the generation power was increased by 147[%] in the fixed system, by 136[%] in the single-axis tracker, and by 164[%] in the dual-axis tracker, and the pattern of generation power was similar with the generation power variation in the situation where the irradiation increased by 140[%] in the spring with plenty of insolation. The alternating current power was more sensitive to variation of the irradiation than to that of the surface temperature of a module. The variation of the irradiation had a more positive effect on the generation power than the type of array.

  • Diurnal variation in faecal chromic oxide levels was estimated from 4 hourly faecal sampling of 56 wethers allotted to one of six different feeding patterns. Sampling occurred on days 6 and 7 (Period 1) after a controlled release device was administered, and was repeated on days 14 and 15 (Period 2) following re-randomisation of the wethers to the feeding patterns. Increasing the frequency of feeding tended to be associated with higher faecal chromic oxide levels (p < 0.05), particularly in wethers fed thrice daily at 8 hour intervals. There was no interaction between feeding pattern and period, sampling day or time within-day. There were significant period x time within-day (p < 0.05) and day x time within-day (p < 0.001) interactions, indicating that variation in faecal chromic oxide between sample times was not consistent. This implies that sampling at any time of day is unlikely to result in a biased estimate of pasture intake, providing sufficient samples are collected. Significant period (p < 0.001) and period x day (p < 0.01) effects were associated with slow faecal chromic oxide equilibration in period 1. Equilibration did not occur until after day 7, indicating a need for caution when commencing sampling.

  • This paper reports the characteristics of sparkover discharge in flowing air with variation of Temperature(T). Also, We studied changes of discharge pattern for constant input power by adjustment of the Reynolds number(Re) and T. The essentiales of this paper are as followers. The invaluable equation obtained from this experiment is [%]$\frac{Vs}{Re}$=A+B${\varepsilon}^{c{\cdot}Re}$ where A=10.5 B=120 $C=-3.00{\times}10^{-5}$ Breakdown Voltage for Variation of temperature in static air is given by expression Vs = K (23.98 ${\rho}$d+6.8 ${\sqrt}{{\rho}d}$)[kV] The discharge pattern can be controlled by adjustment of the Reynolds number.
