보강토에서의 투수성과 보강재길이(배수거리)의 영향에 대한 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis on Effect of Permeability and Reinforcement Length (Drainage Path) in Reinforced Soil)

  • 투수성이 낮은 흙에서 과잉간극수압은 빨리 소산되지 못하므로 유효응력을 감소시키게 되며, 이는 보강토 옹벽에서 보강재와 흙 사이의 인터페이스 전단강도를 감소시키는 결과를 가져온다. 이러한 조건에서는 간극수압의 소산속도가 매우 중요하며, 이는 벽체의 크기, 뒤채움 흙의 투수성 그리고 보강재의 길이 등에 의해 영향을 받는다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 영향요소의 효과를 조사하기 위하여 유한요소해석을 실시하였고, 그 결과 투수계수 $10^{-3}cm/sec$ 이하부터는 간극수압 소산시간이 점차 증가하기 시작함을 알 수 있었다. 간극수압 소산시간의 증가는 유효응력의 감소를 의미하여 보강재 인발력의 감소로 이어질 것이며, 이는 본 논문에서 수행된 수치해석으로 확인되었다. 또한, 보강재의 길이가 길수록 간극수압 소산시간이 더 많이 필요한 것으로 나타났는데 이는 배수거리의 증가에 기인한다.

Development of evolutionary algorithm for determining the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem

  • The purpose of this study is to present a method for determining the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem using an evolutionary algorithm. The problem of finding the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem is to find a set of k arcs whose simultaneous removal from the network causes the greatest increase in the total length of shortest path. The problem determining the k most vital arcs in shortest path problem has known as NP-hard. Therefore, in order to deal with the problem of real world the heuristic algorithm is needed. In this study we propose to the method of finding the k-MVA in shortest path problem using an evolutionary algorithm which known as the most efficient algorithm among heuristics. For this, the expression method of individuals compatible with the characteristics of shortest path problem, the parameter values of constitution gene, size of the initial population, crossover rate and mutation rate etc. are specified and then the effective genetic algorithm will be proposed. The method presented in this study is developed using the library of the evolutionary algorithm framework (EAF) and then the performance of algorithm is analyzed through the computer experiment.

응력이력과 시간이력에 따른 과압밀점토의 응력-변형-변형률 속도 (Stress-Strain-Strain Rate of Overconsolidated Clay Dependent on Stress and Time History)

  • 과압밀점토의 응력-변형 거동에 중요한 영향을 미치는 변형률 속도에 관하여 다루었다. 본 연구에서는 응력경로 회전각, 과압밀비 그리고 접근길이를 포함한 응력이력과 재하속도 이력 및 재하속도를 포함한 시간이력을 변화시켜 압밀-배수 응력경로 삼축 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 모든 영향인자에 대하여 시간이 증가할수록 변형률 속도 역시 증가하였다. 또한, 회전각의 정의에 따라 상이한 변형률 속도의 값을 보였고, 과압밀비와 재하속도가 증가할수록 변형률 속도 역시 증가하였다. 응력이력에서는 응력-변형 거동과 변형률 속도간의 상관성이 존재하였지만 시간이력에서는 응력-변형-변형률 속도의 상관성을 보이지 않았다.

합성제트 기반의 유량 공급 장치에 대한 수치적 연구 (NUMERICAL STUDY ON SYNTHETIC-JET-BASED FLOW SUPPLYING DEVICE)

  • Flow characteristics of synthetic jet based flow supplying devices have been computationally investigated for different device shapes. Jet momentum was produced by the volume change of a cavity by two piezoelectric-driven diaphragms. The devices have additional flow path compared with the original synthetic jet actuator, and these flow path changes the flow characteristics of synthetic jet actuator. Four non-dimensional parameters, which were functions of the shapes of the additional flow path, were considered as the most critical parameters in jet performance. Comparative studies were conducted to compare volume flow rate and jet velocity. Computed results were solved by 2-D incompressible Navier-Stokes solver with k-w SST turbulence model. Detailed computations revealed that the additional flow path diminishes suction strength of the synthetic jet actuator. In addition, the cross section area of the flow path has more influence over the jet performances than the length of the flow path. Based on the computational results, the synthetic jet based flow supplying devices could be improved by applying suitable shape of the flow path.

On Finding a Convenient Path in the Hierarchical Road Network

  • In a hierarchical road network, all roads can be classified according to their attributes such as speed limit, number of lanes, etc. By splitting the whole road network into the subnetworks of the highlevel and low-level roads, we can reduce the size of the network to be calculated at once, and find a path in the way that drivers usually adopt when searching out a travel route. To exploit the hierarchical property of road networks, we define a convenient path and propose an algorithm for finding convenient paths. We introduce a parameter indicating the driver's tolerance to the difference between the length of a convenient path and that of a shortest convenient path. From this parameter, we can determine how far we have to search for the entering and exiting gateway. We also propose some techniques for reducing the number of pairs of entries and exits to be searched in a road network. A result of the computational experiment on a real road network is given to show the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.

Multi-objective path planning for mobile robot in nuclear accident environment based on improved ant colony optimization with modified A*

  • This paper presents a hybrid algorithm to solve the multi-objective path planning (MOPP) problem for mobile robots in a static nuclear accident environment. The proposed algorithm mimics a real nuclear accident site by modeling the environment with a two-layer cost grid map based on geometric modeling and Monte Carlo calculations. The proposed algorithm consists of two steps. The first step optimizes a path by the hybridization of improved ant colony optimization algorithm-modified A* (IACO-A*) that minimizes path length, cumulative radiation dose and energy consumption. The second module is the high radiation dose rate avoidance strategy integrated with the IACO-A* algorithm, which will work when the mobile robots sense the lethal radiation dose rate, avoiding radioactive sources with high dose levels. Simulations have been performed under environments of different complexity to evaluate the efficiency of the proposed algorithm, and the results show that IACO-A* has better path quality than ACO and IACO. In addition, a study comparing the proposed IACO-A* algorithm and recent path planning (PP) methods in three scenarios has been performed. The simulation results show that the proposed IACO-A* IACO-A* algorithm is obviously superior in terms of stability and minimization the total cost of MOPP.

목 자세에 따른 선 자세에서의 신체균형능력 평가 (Effects of Abnormal Neck Posture on Postural Stability)

  • Postural instability can increase the likelihood of hazardous slip and fall accidents in workplaces. The present study intended to extend understanding of the effect of abnormal neck posture on postural control during quiet standing. The effect of body fatigue on the postural control was also of primary concern. Twelve healthy undergraduate students volunteered to participate in the experiment. Standing on a force platform with the neck neutral, flexed, extended, or rotated, subjects' center of pressures (COP) were measured under the two levels of body fatigue. For the fatigue condition, Subjects exercised in a treadmill to meet the predetermined level of body fatigue. Analyzing the position coordinates of COPs, the length of postural sway path was assessed in both medio-lateral (ML) axis and anterior-posterior (AP) axis. Results showed that, in AP direction, neck extension or rotation significantly increased the sway length as compared with neck neutral. Neck extension led to greater sway length compared to neck rotation. Neck flexion did not differ from neck neutral. The sway length in the AP direction also became significantly larger as the body fatigue accumulated after treadmill exercise. In ML direction, as compared to neutral posture, the neck extension, flexion, or rotation did not significantly affect the length of postural sway path. However, the sway length seemed to increase marginally with the neck extended during the fatigued condition. This study demonstrates that abnormal neck posture may interfere with postural control during standing. The ability to maintain postural stability decreases significantly with the neck extended or rotated. Body fatigue leads to postural instability further.

Obstacle Avoidance for Unmanned Air Vehicles Using Monocular-SLAM with Chain-Based Path Planning in GPS Denied Environments

  • Detecting obstacles and generating a suitable path to avoid obstacles in real time is a prime mission requirement for UAVs. In areas, close to buildings and people, detecting obstacles in the path and estimating its own position (egomotion) in GPS degraded/denied environments are usually addressed with vision-based Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) techniques. This presents possibilities and challenges for the feasible path generation with constraints of vehicle dynamics in the configuration space. In this paper, a near real-time feasible path is shown to be generated in the ORB-SLAM framework using a chain-based path planning approach in a force field with dynamic constraints on path length and minimum turn radius. The chain-based path plan approach generates a set of nodes which moves in a force field that permits modifications of path rapidly in real time as the reward function changes. This is different from the usual approach of generating potentials in the entire search space around UAV, instead a set of connected waypoints in a simulated chain. The popular ORB-SLAM, suited for real time approach is used for building the map of the environment and UAV position and the UAV path is then generated continuously in the shortest time to navigate to the goal position. The principal contribution are (a) Chain-based path planning approach with built in obstacle avoidance in conjunction with ORB-SLAM for the first time, (b) Generation of path with minimum overheads and (c) Implementation in near real time.

곡선형 지하철 터널환경에서 전파 특성의 측정과 분석 (Measurement and Analysis of Propagation Characteristics in Curved Subway Tunnel Environments)

  • 이 논문에서는 최근 무선 통신 환경으로 증가하고 있는 지하철 터널 환경에서의 전파 특성을 측정하고 분석하였다. 측정은 지하철 터널에서 2.45㎓와 5.8㎓의 주파수 대역을 가지고 수행하였다. 측정을 위해 사용된 터널의 길이는 LOS(line of sight: LOS)가 175m이고, NLOS(non line of sight: NLOS)가 270m이다. 지하철 터널은 곡선형이며, 그 단면은 마제형(horseshoe type)이다. 측정 시스템은 협대역 시스템과 광대역 시스템을 이용한다. 협대역 시스템은 경로손실(path loss: PL) 측정을 위해 사용되고 광대역 시스템은 전력지연프로파일(power delay profile: PDP) 측정을 위해 사용된다. 특히, 광대역 시스템은 슬라이딩 코릴레이션 기법을 기반으로 80MHz 칩율과 1023길이의 PN 시퀀스 발생기로 구성하였다. 안테나 빔 형태에 따른 전파특성을 분석하기 위해서 무지향성 안테나와 지향성 안테나를 사용하였다. 경로손실은 터널 환경의 순수한 경로손실만을 나타내었다. 지연 프로파일은 평균초과지연(Mean Exess Delay)와 RMS 지연확산(RMS delay spread)에 대해서 분석하였다.

다양한 경로속성을 고려한 최적경로 탐색 (Search for an Optimal-Path Considering Various Attributes)

  • 기존의 최단경로 탐색모형들은 주로 경로의 단일 속성만을 고려한다. 그러나 실제로 통행자가 단일 속성만을 고려하여 경로를 선택하는 경우는 드물며, 대부분의 경로는 통행시간이나 경로길이 또는 통행자의 개인적인 선호 등과 같은 다양한 속성들이 종합적으로 고려되어 선택되어진다. 따라서 최적경로를 탐색하기 위해서는 이와 같은 다양한 속성들을 종합적으로 고려하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 경로속성들을 고려하기 위하여 이산선택모형을 사용하여 네트워크의 노드별 효용을 산출하고, 이를 이용하여 최대의 효용을 가지는 경로를 탐색한다. 경로선택모형을 구축하기 위하여 경로선택에 영향을 미치는 요소들을 통행시간, 지체시간, 경로길이, 신호교차로수, 회전수, 전용도로의 포함비율 6가지로 선정하고, 모형의 모수를 추정하기 위한 현시선호자료를 구하기 위하여 서울시와 인접 신도시 간의 기종점 5개에 대한 경로를 선정하여 설문조사를 실시하였다. 경로선택모형의 함수형태로는 다항로짓모형을 사용하였으며, 모수추정 결과 통행시간과 신호 교차로수, 전용도로의 포함비율을 제외한 경로길이, 지체시간, 회전수를 가지고 모수를 추정한 결과가 통계적 유의성이 가장 높은 모형으로 도출되었다. 경로탐색 알고리즘으로는 도심부에서 U-turn과 회전제한의 반영이 가능한 기존의 수정형 덩굴망 알고리즘을 사용하였으며, 이를 구현하여 실제 네트워크에 적용하였다.
