본 논문에서는 항공 ICT분야에서 최근 이슈가 되고 있는 UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)에 대한 효율적인 연구 개발 전략 수립을 위하여 특허분석을 기반으로 기술의 메가트렌드 및 경쟁력 분석 결과를 제시한다. UAV 핵심 기술의 메가트렌드 분석을 위해 한국, 미국, 일본 및 유럽의 공개/등록 특허를 중심으로 특허 동향을 분석하였다. 분석 대상 기술은 UAV와 ICT기술이 융합이 되는 기술을 중심으로 3개의 소분류로 구분하였으며, 특허검색 결과 총 3,433건이 검색되었다. UAV 핵심 기술별 경쟁력 및 한국의 경쟁력을 분석하기 위하여 특허 활동력, 특허 피인용률 및 주요 시장 확보율을 분석 지표로 사용하였다. 각 핵심 기술에 대한 R&D 전략 영역을 제시하고 이를 기반으로 각 영역별 연구개발 전략을 제시하였다. 본 논문을 통해 우리나라의 기술 수준, 선진 기업의 연구 개발동향 및 핵심특허 현황 등을 객관적인 특허정보를 기반으로 분석하였으며, 향후 UAV 분야의 연구개발 및 특허 확보 전략 수립에 활용이 될 것으로 기대 한다.

It is analyzed with regard to LCD in Korea that national patent application, applicant patent application, IPC patent application. The Trends of patent application concentrated LCD manufacturing process and device, case and a cell of liquid crystal. Therefore, the future research and developments must be centralized these ranges. It is needed for competitive power and original technology that the search and analysis of the previous patent.

차세대 이동통신 관련 경쟁기업의 기술적 역량분석을 위해 특허정보 분석을 실시하였다. 특허정보의 분석방법으로는 출원인 분석, 기술분류 분석, 지표분석 등 여러 분석방법을 활용하였다. 경쟁기업의 기술적 역량분석 1단계로 특허활동도(Patent Activity:PA)가 높은 출원인을 선별하였고, 2단계로 기술자립도(Technological Independence:TI)가 높은 기술분류를 선별하였다. 그리고 1단계와 2단계 결과를 매칭하여 특허활동도가 높은 주요 출원인 중에서 기술자립도가 높은 기술분류에 대한 포트폴리오를 작성하였다. 이와 같은 과정을 통해 경쟁기업간에 집중적으로 연구되고 있는 중요 기술 포트폴리오를 분석할 수 있다. 이 분석 결과는 기업의 R&D계획, 특허전략 수립 등 전략적 R&D 관리 수행을 돕는 역할을 할 것이다.

A patent contains detailed information of the developed technology and is published to the public. Thus, patents can be used to overcome the limitations of traditional technology trend research and prediction techniques. Recently, due to the advantages of patented analytical methodology, IP R&D is carried out worldwide. The patent is big data and has a huge amount, various domains, and structured and unstructured data characteristics. For this reason, there are many difficulties in collecting and researching patent information. Patent research generally writes the Search formula to collect patent documents from DB. The collected patent documents contain some noise patents that are irrelevant to the purpose of analysis, so they are removed. However, eliminating noise patents is a manual task of reading and classifying technology, which is time consuming and expensive. In this study, we propose a model that automatically classifies The Noise patent for efficient patent information research. The proposed method performs Patent Embedding using Word2Vec and generates Noise seed label. In addition, noise patent classification is performed using the Random forest. The experimental data is published and registered with the USPTO among the patents related to Ocean Surveillance & Tracking Network technology. As a result of experimenting with the proposed model, it showed 73% accuracy with the label actually given by experts.

This study investigates the developmental conditions of functional clothes for the elderly. First, preceding studies and relevant web sites were analyzed along with a survey of commercial functional elderly clothes in Korea. A KIPRIS patent information database was used to study registered and disclosed patents and utility models in order to analyze patent application trends in relevant fields. Patents were searched by year of application from 1990 to 2013. Keywords used for searching included 'senior, aged, and elderly'. Among collected data, overlapping and irrelevant data were excluded to select 162 cases for analysis. Details of analysis are annual patent application trends of functional elderly clothes, topic analysis, shape and characteristics. An examination of commercially available functional clothing products for the elderly indicated that most of products were developed in the form of inner wear or protective clothing for seniors who have bodily discomfort. An annual patent application of functional elderly clothes showed slight fluctuations; however, there was an overall increase. For patent topics, technologies related to secretion and excretion were the most at 47 cases total (29%), followed by 23 cases (14%) on biometric information technology. However, the development of relevant technologies seems necessary in the future as therapeutic function and fiber technologies gradually stagnate.

일반적으로 기존 연구와의 중복성을 피하고 독창적인 연구를 진행하기 위해서는 연구자들은 사전에 특허정보를 분석하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 풍력 발전에 대한 현재의 동향을 이용한 등급 기준 개발을 주요국의 기술 위치, 국가별 피인용비와 시장력 확보지수, 특허 포트폴리오 분석, 특허 출원인 국적 분석을 통하여 수행하였다. 이러한 특허 정보 분석은 앞으로 풍력발전의 연구 개발의 방향을 결정하는데 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

The development of a general appreciation for the central role of angiogenesis in cancer growth and metastasis and other disease status has led to a wide range of new therapeutic strategies. This paper reviews the domestic and international trends through technology, marketing and patent information analysis dealing with anti-angiogenic agents. This analytical research has led to the identification of new targets associated with angiogenesis, leading to the development of an extensive number of preclinical screening of antiangiogenetic agents.

This paper explores the determinants of the economic value of patents using a survival time analysis. The analysis is based on renewal information of about 250,000 patents filed from 1984 to 2005 in the Korea Intellectual Property Office. A patent right is valid only when its owner pays yearly maintenance fees. Failure to pay causes patent rights to be lapsed. We use the fact that more valued patents live longer and the lengths of their renewals can be closely related to their value. The value can be affected not only by its own technological aspects such as quality and breadth, but also by characteristics of its owners such as innovativeness and age. This paper presents patent-specific and firm-specific characteristics which influence patent value. The result of analysis implies that patent value depends on both the technological contents of the patent and general capabilities of a firm.

지금까지 특허분석에 관한 연구는 특허지도(Patent Map; PM)분석을 수행하여 기술동향을 분석하고 있으나, 주제에 대한 검색결과를 엑셀 등을 이용하여 그래프화하여 출원빈도에 대한 추이를 나타내는 것이 대부분이다. 이러한 분석은 특정주제에 대한 것으로 국가의 산업이나 국제적인 산업의 동향을 직접 비교 분석하기에는 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 PM분석의 신뢰성을 높이기 위해 통계분석의 필요성을 제시하고, 1990년부터 2004년에 출원된(출원번호 기준) 한국특허 전체를 대상으로 연도별, 분류별(IPC Section 분류)로 각 국가(한국, 미국, 일본, 독일)의 출원빈도를 통계적으로 유의한 수준을 분석하였다. 또한 국가 및 기술 분류에 대한 출원빈도에 대해 포아송 회귀분석을 수행하고, 통계 적으로 유의한 수준에 따른 평가를 R&D에 활용할 수 있도록 하였다.
