The Use of Facebook in International Multi-course Collaborative Projects in Fashion Merchandising Curriculums

  • This study examined students' perceived importance of the benefits derived from an international multi-course collaborative (IMCC) project and how these perceptions impact students' extrinsic and intrinsic motivations for using the project Facebook (i.e., perceived usefulness and enjoyment), attitude toward the project, and intent to participate in future IMCC projects. The data were collected from 96 students who participated in the IMCC project and were enrolled in four different fashion merchandising courses in two different countries, the U.S. and South Korea. This study found that perceived enjoyment of the project Facebook influenced attitude toward the project and intent to participate in future IMCC projects. Perceived usefulness and enjoyment were predicted by the perceived importance of cultural understanding and feedback exchange among international group members. Attitude was influenced by the perceived importance of networking through the IMCC project, while intent to participate in future IMCC projects was predicted by perceived importance of cultural understanding and networking through the IMCC project. This study provides educators in the related disciplines insights about how to incorporate social network sites into course curricula to motivate students' project participation and learning.

연부조직손상의 S-PBL 모듈 개발 및 적용 (The development and application of S-PBL module in soft tissue injury)

  • This study was conducted to develop the PBL module using simulation(S-PBL), to apply it to the physical therapy curricula, and its effect on students; learning contents, learning process, and its overall impacts. The S-PBL module was apply on 47 students of first year physical therapy in Jeju Halla College for 8 weeks from 2005 Feb to April. The data was analyzed via SPSS 10.0; the evaluation of learning contents and process was divided into 5 areas; the learning impacts in 4 areas. The research sought average and standard deviations. The students; satisfaction regarding S-PBL learning contents and process averaged >3.5 (on the Likert Scale of 1 thru 5) which indicated high learning achievement. For the learning impact, using an S-PBL module, it averaged >2.8 (on the Likert Scale of 1 thru 4) which indicated high learning impact. Significantly, the students showed high satisfaction in the areas of clinical practicum, the learning process, the opportunity to participate in clinical affiliation, and motivation for acquiring professional knowledge. This study proved that the application of S-PBL is effective for the physical therapy students; ability to carry out physical therapy, and it is also worth to apply in the physical therapy curricula to improve the students; participation in clinical skills.

주부교육프로그램에 대한 요구도 분석 (A Study on the Needs for Housewives' Educational Program)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the housewives' needs for educational program. In this study the needs lot housewives educational program are consisted on 3 areas ; 1. program contents, 2. program management and 3. program activization plan. For the survey and statistical analysis the questionares from 445 full-time housewives who participate in educational program at present are used. The results of this study are following; 1, in the area of program contents the needs for housing/health, nutrition, family life planning for elderly stage and enhancement of parents-children relationship are very high. This contents are very related with research topics of human ecology. So the researcher of our science are expected to be involved more in the related program development and actualization in the field. 2. in the area of program management the needs for the concret management process such as human resource management and education period are much higher than the educational provision. 3. in the area of program activization the systematization of the program incording with program level is most needed. 4. the housewive who are keeping the social characteristics such as social orientation, the motivation of social integration, the participation in the social-oriented educational program have higher needs for the most entire program contents, management and activization plan.

요양시설노인의 치매예방 프로그램 참여 경험 (Experiences of Participation in Dementia Prevention Program for Older Adults in Nursing Homes)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to describe the experiences of dementia prevention program for older adults in nursing homes. Methods: Four focus group interviews (FGI) after the program were conducted with 35 participants. All interviews were audio-taped and transcribed verbatim. The transcribed data were analyzed by Colaizzi's phenomenological method. Results: Four themes emerged as a result of analysis. Participants without dementia reported "I don't have dementia yet." This statement probably reflects ignoring potential dementia. Motivation for participating the dementia prevention program were to reduce boredom, to enjoy exercising and communicating with others, and to follow group activities. Participants reported the positive effects of the program; (a) benefits from the repeating learned activities; (b) improvements of memory and emotional stability. A few participants reported their inability to follow the program due to physical and environmental limits. However, other participants reported their efforts to overcome physical limits and perform the activities regardless their limits. People who performed the activities with physical limits reported that their self-satisfaction was increased. Conclusion: Results of this study showed that participants without dementia were able to actively participate in dementia prevention programs and showed memory, emotional and behavioral improvements. Therefore, these findings can be used for developing customized dementia prevention programs in nursing homes.

XML을 이용한 프로젝트 학습사이트의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Project Learning Site by Using XML)

  • The purpose of this study was to design and implementation of project learning site by using XML. The development of the Internet site for project learning was planned as per preparation, development and test/application stages. At the stage of preparation, literature and cases were reviewed to find the elements of design principles needed for development of a project learning program and those required in the actual development. At the stage of development, the elements of the design principles and those for the actual development, both explored from the stage of preparation were used to develop a draft Internet site for project learning. The elements used for the development of the Internet site for project learning were motivation, specification of learning goals, reminiscence of preceding knowledge, positive participation in teaching activities, learning-guide feedback, evaluation, reinforcement and correction. It is changing web based format. XML advent because of HTML limitations of web based internet and expand it's field. XML is able to gather data on HTML of text based format, thus it is possible to control it's inside. It is expected that many teachers apply this model to their classes and show realistic results.

안전문화와 효율적 안전경영 방안 연구 (A Study on the Safety Culture and Effective Management System)

  • Recently in Korean Society, risk and safety has become a central discourse in not only the social and natural science but also political decision making. The efficient organizational management contributes to controlling the risk factors in the workplace. For the management is influenced and improved by the organizational culture, the alternatives more than simply improving the work environment or enforcing the education of safety on each workers are required. This study was the status of safety culture in organizational members(managers and workers, and specialist) including the attitude on the safety atmosphere and risk perception, and experiences, knowledges, motivation etc. For this part, the method of questionnaire and statistical analysis are mobilized. The degree of safety commitment of organization members appears relatively high (3.97 in five scale estimation), but there are variations in this results according to socio-demographic characteristics. At the same time, managers and professionals actively participation in the program related to safety than workers in production/sales. The higher income level and career is the more attention to the safety is. Based on this survey, we make an rough suggestion of several tasks to the policy -makers: improvement of communication on the risk and safety is required and in particular, the workers in the relatively low level in production/sales. The education system about safety which is, with one-side, provided by government or managers turns out to be inefficient. Rather, small group performance of the organizational members which they participate in the communication with interaction in the various discourse are able to provoke the safety mood in workplace.

  • 이 연구는 교사들을 위한 성폭력예방교육을 대체할 기능성 게임을 제작하는 과정에서 게임의 콘텐츠 개발을 위한 사전 작업으로 진행되었다. 대상자의 분석과 새로운 교육서비스로 성폭력예방 기능성 게임의 활용을 제안하는 데 있다. 이를 위해서 디자인씽킹의 방법론에서 고든기법과 서비스 블푸프린트 기법이 적용되었다. 대상자 분석에서 나온 결과는 기능성 게임의 목적에 부합하는 요소와 재미 및 지속적인 교육이 되도록 하는 것이었다. 또한, 성폭력예방교육과 함께 기능성게임 참여자에게 교육이수 확인도 제안되었다.

그린리모델링 사업 활성화를 위한 민간 이자지원사업 개선연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Interest Support Program for Activating Green Remodeling Business)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive priority improvement items through business expansion and efficient implementation for green remodeling business operator in order to enhance the activating of green remodeling business in a long-term perspective. For this purpose, survey of 128 business operator respondent is conducted based on 13 items. Also, priority improvements items were derived based on the results of the survey by using IPA(Importance Performance Analysis) techniques. As a result, In order to revitalize the green remodeling, it is necessary to induce market participation motivation through monetary profit. Additionally, The management of green remodeling business operator and the opinions of owners should be reviewed. In the future, the items that reflect the views of business operator and owners will be investigated and further research on improvements for expanding green remodeling 'interest subsidies on existing private buildings will be conducted.

  • 본 연구는 혁신도시의 지역 특성을 고려한 지역화폐 모델에 관한 연구이다. 국내 지역화폐는 코로나-19의 영향으로 발행 규모가 증가하였지만, 지역의 특성과 환경을 고려하지 않은 채로 운영되고 있어 공동체가 지속해서 참여할 동기가 부족하다는 한계를 가진다. 따라서 지역 현안을 해결하고 공동체가 지속해서 참여할 수 있는 지역화폐 모델에 관한 연구가 필요하였다. 본 연구는 혁신도시의 정책적 특성, 인구성장문제, 정주 및 소비환경을 분석하여 혁신도시의 지역 현안을 도출하였고 이를 해결 및 보완할 수 있도록 이전 공공기관과 지역 공동체가 함께 참여하는 프라이빗 블록체인 시스템 기반 혁신도시형 지역화폐 모델을 제안하였다.

Qualitative content analysis of journals of cadaver practice experiences in nursing students

  • This study attempted to identify the experiences of nursing students' participation in cadaver practice and provide a basis for understanding students' experiences in cadaver practice, which can be reflected in the development of programs for them. By applying the content analysis method according to the guidelines by Krippendorff to analyze the meaning of the experience of participating in cadaver practice among 80 nursing students who participated in cadaver practice at K University in W-si, Gangwon-do, a total of 4 areas, 13 categories, and 25 meaningful statements were derived. The categories included "worried," "surprised," and "fear" in the anxiety domain; "interesting," "knowing," and "focused" in the immersion domain; "value of life," "gratitude and remembrance," "thinking about donation," "facing death," and "precious body" in the reflection domain; and "motivation" and "sense of accomplishment" in the growth domain. The results of this study will help to understand the physical and psychological reactions that nursing students may experience during cadaver practice, and will provide a basis for developing various strategies such as counseling, education, and reflection programs in conjunction with cadaver practice to help nursing students cope with stress, develop a sense of ethical responsibility, and develop a positive self-image as nursing students in order to be successful in cadaver practice. This study is also significant because it provides a basis for preventive program interventions for experiences related to the negative effects of cadaver practice.
