The utilization of buildings can be improved by extending them vertically. However, the added load of the extension might require building foundations to be underpinned; otherwise, the loads on the foundations might exceed their bearing capacity. In this study, a preloading method was presented aiming at transferring partial loads from existing piles to underpinning piles. A pneumatic-type model preloading device was developed and used to carry out centrifuge experiments to evaluate the load-displacement behavior of piles, the pile-soil interaction during preloading, and the additional loading caused by vertical extension. The results showed that the preloading devices effectively transfer load from existing piles to underpinning piles. In the additional loading test of group piles, the load-sharing ratio of a pile increased with its stiffness. The load-sharing ratio of a preloaded micropile was less than that of a non-preloaded micropile as a result of the reduction in axial stiffness caused by preloading before additional loading. Therefore, a slight reduction of the load-sharing capacity of an underpinning pile should be considered if the preloading method is applied. Further, two full scale preloading devices was developed. The devices preload underpinning piles and thereby produce reaction forces on a reaction frame to jack existing piles upward, thus transferring load from the existing piles to the underpinning piles. Specifically, screw-type and hydraulic-jack type devices were developed for the practical application of foundation underpinning during vertical extension, and their operability and load transfer effect verified via full-scale structural experiments.
Most humans live at work and continue their lives through work. This study aims to understand the influence of job crafting on job satisfaction and knowledge sharing behavior, innovation behavior, and smart work environment variables in the rapidly changing labor market. In addition, a study was conducted on the effect of job crafting on job satisfaction by dividing it into male and female groups. The study was conducted on 453 office workers who responded to the survey, and SPSS 26.0 and Amos 26.0 were used. Frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation, structural model analysis and Multi-group analysis were performed. Multiple mediating effects were analyzed and Process macro model 7 was used as the smart work environment effect. As a result of the analysis, first, job crafting had a significant effect on job satisfaction, and second, job crafting had a significant effect on knowledge sharing behavior and innovation behavior. Third, knowledge sharing behavior had a significant effect on job satisfaction, but innovation behavior did not affect job satisfaction. Fourth, for the parameters of knowledge sharing behavior and innovation behavior, knowledge sharing behavior had a partial mediating effect, but innovation behavior did not affect it. Fifth, it was found that the moderating effect of the smart work environment had no effect, and sixth, the results of a study on the effect of job crafting on job satisfaction divided into men and women had a greater effect than men.

In this study the problems of cell marking method used in the field of ATM network traffic control are presented. Also an extended cell marking method considering the user level priority is proposed. The conventional traffic monitoring schemes set the CLP bit of a cell to 1 only under the circumstance of the violation of traffic contract. It causes that the number of low level cells increases and the levels of cells are lowered regardless of the user level priority. The three level priority control method combining FCI bit with CLP bit has also been proposed. It divides CLP=0 cells into two levels. Consequently, the proposed method preserves more cells in high level than the conventional one and the real loss of high level cells can be reduced. The performance of the proposed scheme has also been analyzed by the PBS(partial buffer sharing) with two thresholds for the proposed three levels. The result shows that the PBS with two thresholds can give more efficient control than the scheme with no priority, or the PBS with one threshold.

Given the large investment and prevalence of knowledge management (KM) in organizations, it has become important to analyze the effects of KM activities on organizational performances. A theoretical framework is proposed to investigate the impact of KM activities on innovation capabilities in the IT service industry. This study considers KM activities as the major determinant that enhances absorptive capacity. KM activities enhance employees'ability to obtain external knowledge, resulting in increasing intellectual capital. Thus, this study proposes that absorptive capacity plays a mediating role between KM activities and innovation capability. Additionally, this study investigates the key antecedents of KM activities that promote employees' knowledge sharing. Based on prior studies on KM, this study posits KM team activities and top manager support as KM activities. The proposed research model was tested by using survey data collected from 556 employees in the IT service industry. PLS (partial least squares) was employed for the analysis of the data. The findings of this study showed that KM activities and absorptive capabilities play a significant role in enhancing service innovation and process innovation in the IT service industry. The results also shed light on the mediating role of absorptive capacity between KM activities and innovation capability. Moreover, both KM team activities and top manager support serve as the salient antecedents of promoting employees' knowledge sharing.
Purpose: Previous research has found that organizational performance pressures and barriers have an effect on the long-term viability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Furthermore, MSMEs' intellectual capital and strategic orientation, according to recent research findings, have an impact on this. The goal of this study is to see how intellectual capital and strategic orientation affect MSMEs' performance. Research design, data and methodology: The performance of MSMEs is the dependent variable, with intellectual capital, market orientation, learning orientation, and technical orientation as independent factors. With a sample size of 113 respondents, this research focused on information technology-based MSMEs in Indonesia's Solo Raya area. Data was analyzed use Confirmatory Factor Analysis for the reliability test and path analysis SEM. Results: The interaction between intellectual capital and strategic orientation in respect to MSMEs' performance reveals that innovation capability serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between intellectual capital and technical orientation and organization performance. Conclusions: In general, intellectual capital and strategic orientation have a positive substantial influence on innovation, according to the findings. Furthermore, they have a considerable favorable influence on the performance of MSMEs. It's just that intellectual capital has no discernible impact on knowledge sharing.
In our country, in the case of traditional design of pile foundations, only a design depending on end bearing has been performed. However, through the load transfer measurement data that have been carried out for in-situ piles, it was known that skin frictional force was mobilized greatly. In this study, through the analysis of the load transfer test cases of driven steel pipe piles and large-diameter drilled shafts, load bearing aspects of pile foundation depending on pile construction methods and pile load test methods were established. The average sharing ratios of skin frictional force were independent of pile types, pile load test methods, relative pile lengths, pile diameters and soil types. Because the average sharing ratios were over 50%, the case pile foundations mostly behaved as a friction pile and the extremely partial case pile foundation behaved as a combined load bearing pile.

Constructed upon Knowledge Management (KM) processes, the current study aims to investigate the interrelationship between Knowledge Sharing (KS) attitude among the faculty members and KM processes in higher education institutes (HEIs) in Pakistan along with the intervening role of subjective norms between KM processes and KS attitude. This research incorporated the theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and the theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) to conceptualize the KS behavior by using a sample frame of 302 academic and administrative staff from research-based HEIs in Quetta, Pakistan. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted on permanent faculty members from different universities of Quetta, Pakistan. The finding of the study shows a positive attitude among the researchers. The study empirically examined the interface between KM processes and KS attitude and higher education performance while providing valuable insights into the prevailing literature by investigating the mediating role of subject norms. The impact of subjective norms on KS attitude and KM process indicates the importance and basic determinant in organizational premises and improvement of skills of faculty management in HEIs. The partial mediation also reveals the importance of subjective norms in the development of faculty members' KM and KS attitude process.

Mobile cloud computing is a very attractive service paradigm that outsources users' data computing and storage from mobile devices to cloud data centers. To protect data privacy, users often encrypt their data to ensure data sharing securely before data outsourcing. However, the bilinear and power operations involved in the encryption and decryption computation make it impossible for mobile devices with weak computational power and network transmission capability to correctly obtain decryption results. To this end, this paper proposes an outsourcing decryption algorithm of verifiable transformed ciphertext. First, the algorithm uses the key blinding technique to divide the user's private key into two parts, i.e., the authorization key and the decryption secret key. Then, the cloud data center performs the outsourcing decryption operation of the encrypted data to achieve partial decryption of the encrypted data after obtaining the authorization key and the user's outsourced decryption request. The verifiable random function is used to prevent the semi-trusted cloud data center from not performing the outsourcing decryption operation as required so that the verifiability of the outsourcing decryption is satisfied. Finally, the algorithm uses the authorization period to control the final decryption of the authorized user. Theoretical and experimental analyses show that the proposed algorithm reduces the computational overhead of ciphertext decryption while ensuring the verifiability of outsourcing decryption.

The IEEE 802.22 standard is being developed with the target of improving the efficiency of spectrum utilization and importing the new wireless communication service. The WRAN standard based on Cognitive Radio is being processed for sharing TV bands. In this paper, the efficient spectrum allocation scheme and the optimal power allocation scheme, Partial Constant Power Water Filling (PCPWF), are proposed to maximize the channel capacity and spectrum efficiency and minimize the interference between adjacent cells. And we maximize the system throughput and fairness by using proposed dynamic cell plan that efficiently allocates channel. The results of the simulations are presented to verify the utilization of our proposed scheme.
This research was aimed to analyze load sharing ratios between cortical shell and trabecular bone of a degraded lumbar vertebra with aging, and also evaluate elastic moduli assigned into an FE model, using finite element method. For the better analysis of trabecular bone, effective elastic moduli, that is, nominal elastic moduli divided by the volumetric porosities was used. The elastic moduli of the cortical shell suitable for the trabecular bone were obtained from the equations on the basis of idealized stress-strain relations, including areal porosities. To minimize numerical errors, p-element was used. Using eight parameters that refer to some published papers, the geometry of L3 with a removed posterior part. After the constant compressive displacement was applied, the load sharing ratios were obtained by using both every elastic strain energy and every vertical force between two bones in each 8-volume. As results, 1) according to an increase in age from 20-year to 80-year, load sharing ratios of trabecular bone decreased from 55% to 49%; 2) the maximal ratios of each bone were occurred in the mid-plane of centrums and the endplate of cortical shells, respectively; 3) effective elastic moduli assigned into a porous centrum/cortex were found to be adequate; 4) for load sharing ratios, the difference of two methods showed that the total ratios were almost same within less than 1% but the partial ratios at every depth were more or less different each other.
