  • In this study, it was compared how different the adjustment, self-perception, social support and stress between science-gifted children and general children, and the difference between gifted boys and girls. And it was identified what are the effects on stress of science-gifted children. The subjects were 89 science-gifted children of the first grade in Middle School at JeonJu. Science-gifted students in this study were identified through the teacher nomination and CNU(ChonbukNational University) Science & Math Tests. We used the standard object as the comparative group (general children). The results of this study were as follow; First, all personal-adjustment and social-adjustment domains, self-perception and teacher support of science-gifted children were significantly higher than those of general children. All disadjustment domains, parent support and friend support of science-gifted children were significantly lower than those of general children. Second, the self-planning, prejudice, social competence, behavioral conduct, global self worth, parent support, teacher support and classmate support of the science-gifted children had the significant difference according to the gender. Third, the motive of accomplishment, self-planning, attachment and social-affirmation of the science-gifted children correlated negatively with their stress. Fourth, the social competence, athletic competence, physical appearance, behavioral conduct, global self worth and social support of the science-gifted children correlated negatively with their stress. The global self worth of the science-gifted children had the significant difference according to the variables such as teacher support, close friend support, parent support and classmate support in the other of name. The most influential factor was teacher support. The stress of the science-gifted children had the significant difference according to the variables such as parent support, close friend support and global self worth in the other of name. The most influential factor was parent support.

  • The representation of a procedural program cannot be applied directly to object oriented program representation consisting of class, object, inheritance, and dynamic binding. Furthermore, preexisting program dependence represented the dependence among statements, but not among variables. That is, it could not solve the problem of which variables make an effect on given variables. Consequently, this study presents the method dependence model representing implementation level information including the dependence among variables in an object oriented program. I also propose implementation-based class testing technique based on the test adequacy criterion of an object-oriented program. Considering inter-data member dependences and a set of axioms for test data adequacy, it generates sequences of methods as test cases which satisfy a flow graph-based testing criterion. For a derived class testing, it considers inheritance relationship and the resuability of the testing information for its parent classes which verified the reduction of test cost through the experiment.

  • At present, GEOBIA (Geographic Object-based Image Analysis), heir of OBIA (Object-based Image Analysis), is regarded as an important methodology by object-oriented paradigm for remote sensing, dealing with geo-objects related to image segmentation and classification in the different view point of pixel-based processing. This also helps to directly link to GIS applications. Thus, GEOBIA software is on the booming. The main theme of this study is to look into the applicability of geo-spatial processing open source to GEOBIA. However, there is no few fully featured open source for GEOBIA which needs complicated schemes and algorithms, till It was carried out to implement a preliminary system for GEOBIA running an integrated and user-oriented environment. This work was performed by using various open sources such as OTB or PostgreSQL/PostGIS. Some points are different from the widely-used proprietary GEOBIA software. In this system, geo-objects are not file-based ones, but tightly linked with GIS layers in spatial database management system. The mean shift algorithm with parameters associated with spatial similarities or homogeneities is used for image segmentation. For classification process in this work, tree-based model of hierarchical network composing parent and child nodes is implemented by attribute join in the semi-automatic mode, unlike traditional image-based classification. Of course, this integrated GEOBIA system is on the progressing stage, and further works are necessary. It is expected that this approach helps to develop and to extend new applications such as urban mapping or change detection linked to GIS data sets using GEOBIA.

  • Like each treatment for the psychiatric patients psychotherapeutic approach for the adolescent borderline patients is case by case. However some principles are derived from the characteristics of the adolescent psychology. As they put it adolescence is psychologically 'the second individuation period'. Both sexual dvive and aggressive drive are aggrevated, and 'the actual object' like parent are to be separated. Given that borderline patients are weak in their egos and show poor indentity formation 'analytic supportive psychotherpay' would be more effective than analysis itself.

  • When the class is added of deleted in object-oriented system, restructuring of class hierarchy is needed which enables new relationship with classes. But existing system requires much additional analysis costs because it is difficult to know the meaning between parent class and child class. This paper presents the updates method based on semantic modification through new relationship classification method. This method measures the similarity of classes and based on it's relationship, this method restructures class hierarchy by classifying not-equality, part-of, equality, inclusion, subset relation. This method can minimize the probability of meaning error for classes when the class hierarchy is changed. Also this enhances the reusability and understandability through various graphic and text processing.

  • This study was tried to suppose the necessity for the participations of the guardians or parents into dental health educations and for developing an educational program on the control of denial health in order to improve the dental health of handicapped children. For this research, it was investigated by a survey on the actual condition of dental health with an object of handicapped children, and simultaneously by analyzing the relationships between the realities of child's dental caries and guardian's acknowledgments and managements with regard to the dental health of the children. The 209 children and their guardians being in special school for the handicapped were surveyed about the actual conditions of dental health from 15 May to 30 June 2000. 1. The average of DT, MT, FT and DMFT index were 2.46, 0.13, 1.18 and 3.78, respectively. 2. As the parents' educational level (p<0.05) and economical incomes were high, the proportions the DMFT index were low (p<0.05). As the father of the handicapped children had a duty, the DMFT index were lower than the opposite case that the father had no duty. However. in the case of their mother, the presence of the duty has not showed any relationships with the DMFT index. And it was revealed that there was a tendency that the lower age of the parents showed the lower proportions (p<0.05) and index (p<0.001). 3. There was no meaningful differences for the DMFT index in the comparison between the children who can brush themselves or not, even though the children who can brush themselves showed relatively and slightly lower DMFT index than the children who can't do it themselves. 4. More frequent observations on the children's dental conditions by the parent resulted in the lower DMFT index(p<0.01). 5. As the parent had relatively more knowledges about the dental disease. the DMFT index were low. Therefore, as it was considered form these results, the parent should be required more positive participations for the improvement of their children's dental health. For promoting this participations, it must be required the development of educational programs and political services for the parent or guardians in order to improve the attendance into the educations.

  • This study researched the dietary habit of boy's and girl's high school students, and into low it was connected with the state of health between the group of having the right dietary habit and the group of having the wrong habit. Results were as follows: 1. The age about the object person of research was the most numerous in 79% at 16~17 years old, the average weight was $55.67\pm9.08$kg, the average height was $165.47\pm7.56$cm. 2. In the parent's school career of the object person of research, persons who graduated high school were many. The mother's educational level was lower than the father's school career. The parent's school career in the district south of a river was higher than the parent's school career in the district north of a river. And the parent's school career of cultural students was high. 3. The frequency of food intake in the district north of a river and in the district south of a river was a meaningful difference in the vegetables blended in green and yellow things (p<.01), fruit (p<.05), rice, flour, potatoes (p<.05), and so the district north of a river took less than the district south of a river. 4. The most regular diet in a day was lunch. The appetite of the students was generally good. 5. The general environment and state of health were a meaningful difference about melancholia (p<.05) in the district of north and south of river, and so melancholia in students of the north of a river was high. 6. The state of health according to regular diet was a meaningful difference, so regular student was better than irregular student in state of health, and was the same in study. 7. Eating habit correlated much to each state of health, Especially in physical health, the muscular frame correlated to fruit (p<.001), seaweeds (p<.05), fried food, jun, panbroiled food (p<.05), salty taste (p<.05), sour taste(p<.001).

  • Background: Despite children's unique characteristics that distinguish them from adults, relatively few attempts have been made to measure exposure factors for characterization of children's exposure to hazardous chemicals in child-specific products (CSP). This study was conducted to establish the child-specific exposure factors for exposure and risk assessment of hazardous substances in CSP. Methods: We investigated the exposure factors (e.g., time use of child-products, time and frequency of object-to-body contact, time and frequency of object-to-mouth contact) influencing children's exposure to CSP (e.g., toys, playmats, oil pastels, etc.) in 650 children through a parent-completed questionnaire using a web-based survey. Participants were recruited in five age groups, <1, 1-2, 2-3, 3-6, and 6-12 years of age. Results: The child-specific exposure factors were presented as the mean, median, $95^{th}$ percentile, minimum, and maximum values. Time activity for play mats was the longest among CSP and infants spent more time on them than did elder age groups (189.3-224.7 min/day for <1-2 years vs. 91.2 min/day for 6-12 years). It is apparent that time and frequency of toy block- and plastic toy-to-mouth contact significantly decreased as a function of age. When the variation of CSP use patterns was compared by gender, the only variable that was statistically different between genders was time activity in child-products exposure space. Conclusion: We believe the five child-specific exposure factors suggested in the present study will be valuable for reducing uncertainty in the estimation of chemical exposure during risk assessment of CSP and furthermore, in the appropriate regulations to protect children's health.
