Risk importance measures are widely wed to rank risk contributors in risk-based applications. Typically, Fussell-Vesely (F-V) importance and risk achievement worth (RAW) are used in the component importance raking for the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) analysis of safety system in nuclear power plants (NPPs). This study was performed as part of feasibility study on RCM for domestic NPPs, which is focused on the component importance ranking approach the maintenance recommendation. The approach of modulizing faulting tree basic events was applied in the simplification process of the PSA model and the validity of the approach was evaluated As a result of the case study, this paper included the importance and the maintenance recommendations for the safety-related equipments associated with safety injection and containment spray in large loss of coolant accident sequences.

This paper presents the development technology of standard resistor divider for full lightning impulse voltage. The ability of high voltage bulk power equipment to withstand lighting stroke is usually evaluated by means of full lightning impulse voltage. Lightning impulse voltage test has been essential to evaluate the insulation performance of electrical power apparatus. Recently International standard (IEC 60) on high voltage measurement techniques is being revised and requests a formal traceability of high voltage measurements. Therefore, general interest for this area has grown considerably during last years, and several international intercomparisions have been completed already worldwide, i.e. Europe, Japan, America etc.. In this viewpoint, we have also investigated the standard resistor divider with shield, which satisfies the IEC recommendation.

Using user monitoring techniques on web, marketing decision makers in cyber shopping malls can gather customer behavior data as well as sales transaction data and customer profiles. In this paper, we present a marketing rule extraction technique for customer behavior analysis in cyber shopping malls, The technique is an application of market basket analysis which is a representative data mining technique for extracting association rules. The market basket analysis technique is applied on a customer behavior log table, which provide association rules about web pages in a cyber shopping mall. The extracted association rules can be used for mall layout design, product packaging, web page link design, and product recommendation. A prototype cyber shopping mall with customer monitoring features and a customer behavior analysis algorithm is implemented using Java Web Server, Servlet, JDBC(Java Database Connectivity), and relational database on windows NT.

This paper suggests a collaborative business process between the companies that each has a restricted physical branch in its own area and wants to extend globally sales and delivery service. The companies integrate their business processes for sales and delivery using a shared product taxonomy table. We also suggest a similar product finding algorithm to make the product taxonomy table that defines product relationships to exchange them between the companies. The main idea of the proposed algorithm is using a multi-attribute decision making (MADM) to find the utility values of products in a same product class of the companies. Using the values we determine what products are similar. It helps the product manager to register the similar products into a same product sub-category. The companies then allow consumer to shop and purchase the products at their own residence site and deliver them or similar products to another sites.

The preferences of customers change over time. However, existing collaborative filtering (CF) systems are static, since they only incorporate information regarding whether a customer buys a product during a certain period and do not make use of the purchase sequences of customers. Therefore, the quality of the recommendations of the typical CF could be improved through the use of information on such sequences. In this paper, we propose a new methodology for enhancing the quality of CF recommendation that uses customer purchase sequences. The proposed methodology is applied to a large department store in Korea and compared to existing CF techniques. Various experiments using real-world data demonstrate that the proposed methodology provides higher quality recommendations than do typical CF techniques, with better performance, especially with regard to heavy users.

The CCITT recommendation X.3, X.20, X.29 and X.25 protocols have been efficiently used in subscriber site for the purpose of using existing C DTE In the ISDN. CCITT recommendation X.25 and X.75 have been applied to the PSPDN environment for data communication of packet switching. They have also been used for packet switching in the ISDN exchanges since about the year 1980. This paper presents the throughput of the TDX-10 packet handler as simulating the performance based on memory management and flow control of the resource management algorithm designed originally.

Korea Water Resources Corporation (KOWACO) annually supplies about 2 billion Kwh and 7.3 billion $m^3$ with its 10 multi purpose dams and 20 water supply offices. For the proper control and management of the above utilities, sequential control equipment and SCADA/DCS have been operated and maintained. In this paper, 8 control system evaluations for hydropower dam, water supply, electric power and subway projects during 1984-1997 were reviewed and analyzed. The systematic evaluation method has been established in the points of the purpose, method, procedure, evaluation team, evaluation criteria, total evaluation table and the contents of final recommendation report. With keeping in mind the essential points, it is expected for the more effective and fair evaluation of bids.

Higher prediction efficacy is a very challenging task in any field of engineering. Due to global warming, there is a considerable increase in the global sea level. Through this work, an attempt has been made to find the sea level variability due to climate change impact at Haldia Port, India. Different statistical downscaling techniques are available and through this paper authors are intending to compare and illustrate the performances of three regression models. The models: Wavelet Neural Network (WNN), Minimax Probability Machine Regression (MPMR), Feed-Forward Neural Network (FFNN) are used for projecting the sea level variability due to climate change at Haldia Port, India. Model performance indices like PI, RMSE, NSE, MAPE, RSR etc were evaluated to get a clear picture on the model accuracy. All the indices are pointing towards the outperformance of WNN in projecting the sea level variability. The findings suggest a strong recommendation for ensembled models especially wavelet decomposed neural network to improve projecting efficiency in any time series modeling.

The long-tailed, positively skewed exponential distribution can be made into an almost symmetric distribution by taking the exponent of the data. In these situations, to use the traditional shewhart control limits on an individuals chart would be impractical and inconvenient. The transformed data, approximately bell-shaped, can be plotted conveniently on the individuals chart and exponentially weighted moving average chart. In this paper, using modifying statistics with transformed exponential of the data, we give a method for constructing control charts. Selecting method of exponent for individual chart is evaluated. And consider that smaller weight being assigned to the older data as time process and properties and taking method of exponent($\theta$), weighting factor($\alpha$) are suggested. Our recommendation, on the basis result of simulation, is practical method for EWMA chart.
