변위환기를 이용한 대형 용접작업장의 공기환경 개선에 관한 연구 (Improvement of Indoor Air Environment in a Large Welding Factory by Displacement Ventilation)

  • In this paper, the indoor air environment in a large welding factory applied to displacement ventilation was investigated with experiment and numerical analysis for previous and new ventilation system. Concentration of fumes was analyzed for three cases with wind direction of outdoor. For experimental results, the dust concentration with new ventilation system decreased about 42-60% and the visibility increased about 11-18%. For numerical analysis, the exhaust efficiency of fumes was low when the wind and exhaust flow direction was inverse. It was found that the fumes in the factory decreased about 77% in case of the northern wind.

  • In this paper, a mathematical model is developed for economic design of multi-stage distribution system that consists of factory, central distribution centers, local distribution centers and retailers. The retailers are supplied products from different stage suppliers according to order size. The retailers are supplied products from factory if demand amount is large, central distribution center if medium, local distribution center if small. The economic design is to determine the economic size of facility factors that consist of distribution system. The cost factors are transportation cost from supply places to demand places, handling cost at distribution centers and inventory holding cost at retailers. It is to determine the transportation route of each retailer, the size and number of the vehicle at factory and distribution centers, the handling amount at distribution centers in order to minimize the total costs. The mathematical model is represented, the solution procedure is developed, and a numerical example is shown.

  • Based on reviewing the literature and statistical year books on current projects that are targeting Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory, this paper aims to show concepts of Industry 4.0, and Smart Factory. Also it shows 5 projects for Industry 4.0 led by governments that worry over their low employment and productivity in main industrialized countries: Germany, China, Japan, the USA, and Korea. In addition it presents some problems which are very important but easy to be overlooked, especially on employment, and it makes three suggestions to solve employment problems. First, government should tax the profit which a company makes on reducing workers in spite of a high rate of profit through technology innovation. Second, to help small businesses to last longer, government should link major companies and small companies. Third, government, academic circles and the industrial world should take part in configuring consortia like American "Industry talent Consortium" to cultivate IT Talent.

  • Mobile cellular technology is evolving to accommodate a variety of vertical services, expanding the application from human-to-human communication to the Internet of Things(IoT). In particular, the fourth industrial revolution, bringing in a new vision in future smart factory, necessitates a new paradigm shift in wireless communication. Low latency and high reliability is a key issue in wireless applications for industrial IoT such as factory automation. In this paper, we review the recent progress in 5G URLLC (Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communication) and discuss use cases, requirements, challenging technical issues, and potential solutions to support wireless factory automation such as discrete automation and process automation.

신경망을 이용한 금형공장용 일정계획 시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Scheduling System for Mold Factory Using Neural Network)

  • This paper deals with constructing a scheduling system for a mold manufacturing factory. The scheduling system is composed of 4 submodules such as pre-processor, neural network training, neural networks and simulation. Pre-processor analyzes the condition of workshop and generates input data to neural networks. Network training module is performed by using the condition of workshop, performance measures, and dispatching rules. Neural networks module presents the most optimized dispatching rule, based on previous training data according to the current condition of workshop. Simulation module predicts the earliest completion date of a mold by forward scheduling with the presented dispatching rules, and suggests a possible issue date of a material by backward tracking. The system developed shows a great potential when applied in real mold factory for automotive parts.

  • In this paper we present a 3-DOF manipulator of which task is to unload the product from a micro factory. The micro factory developed by KITECH presses sheet metal to produce a micro valve that is used for micro pump. Our research is focused on the development of a small-sized unloading manipulator which works in the narrow workspace between the dies. We have implemented pick-and-place task with vacuum pressure and 3-DOF motion with stepping motors. We present the design procedures and analysis required in each module.

  • In this paper, we propose a systematic procedure to determine standard time and cycle time in a TFT-LCD factory. The proposed procedure mainly consists of data preprocessing, hypothesis testing and Group technology. Data preprocessing extracts relevant data from large on-line data sets by eliminating corrupt and noisy data. Hypothesis test techniques have been used to determine whether the standard information has been changed. Also, Group technology has been applied to generate standard information for newly developed products. The proposed procedure has been successfully applied to the production information system of a TFT-LCD factory in Korea.

공장환경에서 AGV를 위한 인공표식 기반의 포즈그래프 SLAM (Artificial Landmark based Pose-Graph SLAM for AGVs in Factory Environments)

  • This paper proposes a pose-graph based SLAM method using an upward-looking camera and artificial landmarks for AGVs in factory environments. The proposed method provides a way to acquire the camera extrinsic matrix and improves the accuracy of feature observation using a low-cost camera. SLAM is conducted by optimizing AGV's explored path using the artificial landmarks installed on the ceiling at various locations. As the AGV explores, the pose nodes are added based on the certain distance from odometry and the landmark nodes are registered when AGV recognizes the fiducial marks. As a result of the proposed scheme, a graph network is created and optimized through a G2O optimization tool so that the accumulated error due to the slip is minimized. The experiment shows that the proposed method is robust for SLAM in real factory environments.

  • As robotic technologies have become more actively utilized to automate many construction tasks, they have been able to improve the construction productivity, quality, and workers safety on site. A new system, of which Robot-based Construction Automation (RCA), is currently being developed, and RCA systems consist of Construction Factory(CF), Automated Bolting Robots, and Climbing Hydraulic Robot. Especially. Climbing Hydraulic robot system is very important to RCA systems because of function as lifting the Construction Factory. In this paper, We validate safety of Climbing Hydraulic Robot system before application for real building construction.
