In this paper, we propose a method for measuring the volume of packages for the efficient handling of the packages. Using the geometrical characteristics of the rectangular parallelepiped type objects, the method measures the volume of packages with one camera only in real time. In preprocessing of volume measurement, the method extracts outer lines of the object and then crossing points of the lines as feature points or vertexes. From these cross points(-feature points-), the volume of the package is calculated. Compared to the direct feature extraction, the proposed method shows especially the blurring robust result by using the line for feature extraction. Additionally, the method can get the stable result by considering object's direction. From experimental results, it is demonstrated that this method is very effective for the real time volume measurement of the rectangular parallelepiped.

Software release over the network is the most efficacious way of software update. Software release of electronic switching system, considering its environments, is the typical case that is in need of adopting the method. The media of transferring software and data of TDX-10A electronic switching system are magnetic tapes containing them, so the MT must be delivered between remotely placed office and package generation system. SMART-10A system provides the file tranfer on the data network between TDX-10A and the package generation system and ability of remote application of new software. This paper shows the implementation of file transfer between TDX-10A and computer system connected by data networks, status handling for duplicated system, and monitor process design with IPC on UNIX system.

Continually having growed up overseas construction market for new Nuclear Power Plant(NPP), the exports of Korean Reactor emerges as the key task of National Nuclear Business. The objective of this study is to strengthen the competitiveness of Korean Reactor through the improvement of Construction Project Contract & Delivery System for NPP. This study suggests the method for increasing Korean Reactor's competitiveness of exports by analyzing the business environment of foreign market and comparing Contract & Delivery System between domestic and foreign.

This paper reports the effects of bleaching of alpaca tops and dyeing of bleached alpaca tops/yarns on the quality of tops and yarns. A dark brown alpaca top was bleached with hydrogen peroxide. Two bleaching methods were tried for effectiveness of color removal. A portion of each bleached top was dyed after bleaching. Color parameters were examined for unbleached, bleached and bleached/dyed tops, these tops were then converted into yarns of different twist levels and counts using a worsted spinning system. Some of the bleached yarn from each bleaching method was dyed in a package dye vat to compare the difference of top dyeing versus yarn package dyeing on yarn quality. Fiber diameter, yarn strength, yarn evenness, yarn hairiness and fiber degradation were tested to examine the effects of bleaching and dyeing on these properties at top and yarn stages. A processing route for bleaching and dyeing alpaca fiber was recommended.

In this study, to investigate the effect of process variables such as reduction in area, semi-die angle and the rectangular ratio to the corner filling which influences the dimensional accuracy of the final product in the drawing of the cluadrangle rod from a round bar, it has been simulated by three dimensional rigid-plastic finite element method. In order to reduce the number of simulation artificial neural network has been introduced. Also, through the experimental investigation, the present results have been implemented on the industrial product. In results, the main process variable is the combination of the semi-die angle in case of the irregular shaped drawing process and reduction in area in the event of regular shaped drawing process, respectively.

Recently, many enterprises wish to preoccupy competitive positions in the market by motivating themselves towards CALS(Commerce At Light Speed) and try hard to achieve system implementation with the use of new concept-based backbone systems such as ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) or PDM(Product Data Management). However, unfortunately there is an inevitable discrepancy during implementation period between package vendors and customers due to lack of clear methodology and misunderstanding about system. In some cases, consensus on partially verified system design invokes customers'continuous change demands and often it tends to result in unnecessary project delays. PDM application system implementation project of the company L has been studied here to solve these sorts of problems. The major yields of this work are achievement of a willing approval from customers and rapid system design under a time-limited and conceptually defined project scope and finally, through fully verified system design, we were able to reach successful system implementation.

A Korean seasoned meat product, seasoned bulgogi was developed in processing and packaging for improved convenience and extended shelf life. The optimal process conditions were found to consist of aging for $20{\sim}30$ hours at $5^{\circ}C$ and air heating for 20 minutes at $210^{\circ}C$ Aging of 24 hours could attain soft texture with little change in pH, color and total aerobic bacterial count. Appropriate drip level could be achieved at air heating of 20 minutes at $210^{\circ}C$, while the air heating at $180^{\circ}C$ could not give suitable level of texture. Modified atmosphere packaging of 60% $CO_2$ and 40% $N_2$ could preserve the product significantly better compared to control of air package and vacuumed package.

To reduce the shock in shifting the clutches and the brakes in automatic transmission have to be connected smoothly and disconnected rapidly. It is PCSV(Pressure Control Solenoid Valve) that play this role of automatic transmission. In this paper there were two steps in the analysis of the PCSV. The first step was modeling the elctromagnet by the permeance method. The second step was modeling the hydraulic circuit by the pressure differential equation. In addition to this modeling a experiment was performed and the commercial package program was used in order to justify modeling. The result of modeling coincide with the result of experiment and commercial package program. As a result this modeling is usable in analysis of dynamic characteractic of the PCSV.

This paper presents a windows program package for solving security constrained OPF in interconnected power systems, which is based on the combined application of evolutionary programming(EP) and sequential quadratic programming(SQP). The objective functions are the minimization of generation fuel costs and system power losses. The control variables are the active power of the generating units, the voltage magnitude of the generator, transformer tap settings and SVC setting. The state variables are the bus voltage magnitude, the reactive power of the generating unit, line flows and the tie line flow. In OPF considering security, the outages are selected by contingency ranking method. The resulting optimal operating point has to be feasible after outages such as any single line outage(respect of voltage magnitude, reactive power generation and power flow limits). The OPF package proposed is applied to 10 machines 39 buses model system.

As the demand for high frequency(bandwidth) optical module of reduced cost is increased, there are considerable needs for low cost／ high reliable optical packaging method. In order to meet these requirements, the researches using silicon optical bench(SiOB) technology have been developed as one of the leading technology. In this paper, we discuss optical package using one aspherical lens mounted on SiOB by passive alignment, and present the reliability data for the optical module, which are temperature cycling between 40C and +85C, and high temperature storage 85C(unbiased), 2000hour.
