Structural and Electrical Properties of Nanotube as Various Second Anodizing Time for Biosensor (바이오 센서로의 응용을 위한 2차 양극산화 시간에 따른 나노튜브의 구조적, 전기적 특성)

  • In this study, we fabricated anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) membrane by two step anodizing process for pH detection. The structural properties were observed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). Electrochemical measurements of the pH sensor have been performed in capacitance-voltage (C-V) and drift rates. The characterization of AAO membrane exhibited high sensitivity (99.1 mV/pH) at second anodizing time of 4 min.

Fabrication of Polyimide Film Electrode by Laser Ablation and Application for Electrochemical Glucose Biosensor (Laser ablation을 이용한 폴리이미드 필름 전극제조 및 전기화학적 글루코오즈 바이오센서 응용)

  • An ultraviolet pulsed laser ablation of polyimide film coated with platinum has been used to enhance the sensitivity for the application as an electrochemical biosensor. Densely packed cones are formed on polyimide surface after UV irradiation which results in increase of surface area. In order to apply the sensitivity improvement of laser ablated polyimide film electrodes, the glucose oxidase modified biosensor was fabricated by using an encapsulation in the gel matrix through sol-gel transition of tetraethoxysliane on the surface of laser ablated polyimide film. The optimum conditions for glucose determination have been characterized with respect to the applied potential and pH. The linear range and detection limit of glucose detection were from 2.0 mM to 18.0 mM and 0.18 mM, respectively. The sensitivity of glucose biosensors fabricated with laser ablated polyimide film is about three times higher than that of plain polyimide film due to increase in surface area by laser ablation.

  • Two electrode-based lactate biosensor was prepared by immobilizing lactate oxidase (LOD) obtained from pediococcus species in a poly(vinyl alcohol). Hydrogen peroxide ($H_2O_2$) produced by the reaction of lactate and LOD was detected on the Pt-black that was electrochemically deposited on the Au electrode. Sensors fabricated with Pt-black deposited Au electrode provided a high current of $H_2O_2$ oxidation at a substantially lowered applied potential (+300 mV vs. Ag/AgCl), resulting in reduced interferences from easily oxidizable species such as ascorbic acid, acetaminophen, and uric acid. An outer membrane is formulated by adjusting water uptake of hydrophilic polyurethane (HPU). The sensor performance was evaluated in vitro with both flow-through arrangement and static mode. The sensor showed a linear range from 0.1 mM to about 9.0 mM in 0.05 M phosphate buffer (pH 7.6) containing 0.05 M NaCl. Storing the sensors prepared in this work at $4^{\circ}C$ buffer solution while not in use, they provided same electrochemical performance for more than 25 days.

  • The sol-gel method was used to prepare binary metal oxide ($IrO_2-RuO_2$) pH sensor. The electrodes that mole percent compositions (mol%) of $IrO_2$ and RuO2 were 70:30 and 30:70 were selected. The characterizations of Nernstian response over pH range, response rate, interference on alkaline metals and reproducibility were investigated. Also the electroanalytical properties of these electrodes were evaluated in comparison with a commercial glass pH electrode. The composition of $IrO_2:RuO_2$ 70:30 mol% was chosen as better electrode formulation. The electrode was not susceptible to the action of interfering ions such as $Li^+$, $Na^+$ and $K^+$.

  • These fermented food has been increased interest to people's health in recent years. Factors which have taste, storability and trophism of fermented food is affected food of material, temperature, humidity and pH. But fermented food has yet not been established of model equation for the change in pH. If they that seller and consumer can know the status and quality, customer could increase credibility and consumption-oriented about fermented foods. In this paper, we obtain model equation through measured PH of fermented foods. So, model equation is offered platform about maturity of fermented foods. In order to confirm the usefulness of the proposed model equation, we tested the change in PH about a kimchi and a rice wine which is fermented food of Korea representative.

  • We report the results of a preliminary investigation on capacitive humidity sensors using iodine-doped polyphenylacetylene(PPA) thin films. PPA was prepared from phenylacetylene(PA), chemically doped with iodine, and characterized by DSC, $^1H$-NMR and FTIR spectra. The iodine-doped PPA sensors showed a sensitivity of 0.20pF/%RH, a linearity of 3.8%FS, a negligible hysteresis, and a low temperature coefficients of $0.043~0.067pF/^{\circ}C$ over a wide range of relative humidity. These results are expected to open up the possibility of iodine-doped PPA thin films as relative humidity sensors.

  • 본 논문에서는 뇌압을 측정하기 위해 LC 공진을 이용한 압력센서를 제작하고 그 성능을 시험하였다. 원격 측정용 압력센서는 움직이는 전극역할을 하는 p+ 박막이 있는 실리콘 기판과 고정된 평면 코일이 있는 유리 기판으로 구성되어 있다. 압력에 따라 두 전극 간의 간격이 달라지고 이에 따른 캐피시턴스가 변화하여 공진주파수가 변화하게 된다. 원격 측정용 외부 안테나를 이용하여 측정회로의 공진 주파수에서 위상의 변화를 측정하여 압력을 측정한다. 상부기판은 실리콘 기판을 도핑하여 p+ 막을 형성하고 금속막을 증착하여 전극을 형성한 후 실리콘을 식각하여 완성하고. 하부기판은 유리 기판 위에 금속막을 증착한 후. 전기도금으로 평면 코일을 형성하고 다시 금속막을 증착하여 전극을 형성하여 제작한다. 압력을 변화시킬 때 전극간의 간격의 변화에 따른 공진주파수에서의 위상의 변화를 외부 안테나에 연결된 측정회로를 통해 측정한다. 측정결과 공진주파수인 160 Mhz에서 -0.08 $deg/mmH_2O$의 감도를 얻을 수 있었다.
