The quality characteristics of pH, total acidity, and color of Kimchi juice and organoleptic properties of taste, odor and texture were studied for their changes during Kimchi fermentation. Kimchi was prepared by salting in 15% NaCl solution for 2 hours followed by addition of other spices and fermentation at $4-35^{\circ}C$. The results of pH decrease and acidity increase suggested that Kimchi fermentation can be classified into 3 steps of initial, intermediate and final stages. The activation energyes calculated from the intermediate stage where pH decreased rapidly were 15.67Kcal/mole for pH change and 18.99Kcal/mole for acidity change. The Hunter color values of Kimchi liquid showed that it becomes a weak greenish bluecolor as the fermentation progressed. Sensory characteristics of fresh sourness taste and odor and fracturability of Kimchi were increased until pH reached approx. 4.0 and then decreased while moldy taste and odor was increased rapidly thereafter.
This study was carried out to investigate the functional properties such as nitrogen solubility, emulsifying property , foaming capapcity , water and oil absorption of Camellia (Camellia japonica .) seed protein isolate in condition of distilled water and 0.5M NaCl solution at pH 2.0∼10.0. Nitrogen solubility of Camellia protein isolate in distilled water showed the minimum value at pH 4.0 and increased at pH lower or higher than the isoelectric point(pH 4.0). It was 90.0 %at pH 10.0 Nitrogen solubility of 0.5M NaCl solution showed a similar pattern with that of distrille dwater but was higher than that of distilled water except pH 2.0 and pH 10.0. Emulsifying activity of Camellia seed protein islate showed the minimum value at pH 4.0, but was higher at ether value of pH. Emulsifying stability of protein isolate was stable by heat treatment for 30min, at 80℃ and increased in 0.5M NaCl solution more than that of distille dwater. Foaming capacity of Camellia seed protein isolate in distill3ed water showed the minimum value near the isoelectric point, While it changed little at other values of pH. Foaming stability slowly decreased as, but didn't make a significant difference as time was delayed . Oil absorption was 1.4ml per a sample of 1g and water absorption was 0.9ml per a sample of 1g. The former was higher than the latter . The content of total amino acid of Camellia protein isolate was 43.67% and the major total amino acid of Camellia protein isolate was 43.67% and the major total amino acid was in the order of glutamic acid , arginine, aspartic acid, and leucine.
This study was conducted to investigate the efficacy of larval stages of three species, namely, Tenebrio molitor, Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis, and Ptecticus tenebrifer larvae, in degrading poultry manure, specially, broiler and duck manure. The survival rates of larvae were also noted. For the experiment, T. molitor (n=300), P. brevitarsis seulensis (n=60), and P. tenebrifer (n=300) hatched larvae were randomly divided into six groups with three replicates. The degaradation efficacy tests were then performed for 30 days in a laboratory. The test groups were as follows: T1, 110 g broiler manure + T. molitor larvae (n=50); T2, 110 g duck manure + T. molitor larvae (n=50); T3, 125 g broiler manure + P. brevitarsis seulensis larvae (n=10); T4, 125 g duck manure + P. brevitarsis seulensis larvae (n=10); T5, 105 g broiler manure + P. tenebrifer larvae (n=50); and T6, 105 g duck manure + P. tenebrifer larvae (n=50). The groups showed significant efficacy in degrading broiler and duck manure (p<0.05). The highest survival rates were recorded for T. molitor larvae in both manure types [T1 (92.67%) and T2 (50%)], followed by P. brevitarsis seulensis larvae (T4, 40%) and P. tenebrifer larvae (T6, 14.67%) in duck manure. Next, the survival rates of P. brevitarsis seulensis (T3) and Ptecticus tenebrifer larvae (T5) in broiler manure were 0%. In conclusion, these results point to the feasibility of using insect larvae to degrade broiler and duck manure.

The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between communication, leadership, and ethical nursing competency for nursing students and to identify factors that affect the ethical nursing competency of nursing students. The subjects who participated in this study were 328 people, and data were collected using questionnaires after obtaining research consent. The collected data was statistically analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 28.0 program. As a result of this study, ethical nursing competency and communication (r=.67, p<.001) and leadership (r=.56, p<.001) showed a significant positive correlation. The factors that affect the ethical nursing competency of nursing students are communication (𝛽=.52, p<.001) and leadership (𝛽=.23, p<.001) has been identified. The regression model of this study was significant (F=155.74, p<.001). The explanatory power of the model was 48%. Therefore, it should include improving communication skills and leadership when developing a program to inhance the ethical nursing competency of nursing students.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting the drinking behavior in high school students. Methods: There were 620 subjects who were first and second graders of seven high schools in Daegu. This study used Sinhaengwoo (1998)'s drinking behavior scale, Rowlison and Felner (1988)'s stress scale, Kovacs (1981)'s children's depression inventory, Rosenberg (1965)'s self-esteem scale. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression using SPSS/win 18.0 program. This study was approved by the Institutional Review Boards (IRB) of the Keimyung university hospital(No. 12-112). Results: The mean score for drinking behavior in high school students was 23.1points. Factors influencing drinking behavior in high school students were identified as self-esteem(t=-3.67, p<.001), stress(t=6.79, p<.001), school types(t=4.02, p<.001), sex(t=-3.67, p<.001). These factors explained 27% of drinking behavior reported by high school students. Conclusion: The results indicate which factors are majors influencing drinking behavior in high school students. Therefore, self-esteem enhancement could be considered as an effective strategy to reduce the drinking behavior in high school students.

In this paper, we analysed performance for on-wafer GaN HEMT using load-pull in X-band, and studied optimum impedance point based on analysis result. We suggested method of optimum performance device by analysis of optimum impedance for solid state device on-wafer condition before packaging. The measured device is gate length 0.25um, and gate width is 400um, 800um. device 400um is performed $P_{sat}$=33.16dBm, PAE=67.36%, Gain=15.16dBm, and device 800um is performed $P_{sat}$=35.91dBm, PAE=69.23%, Gain=14.87dBm.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare visual blood loss estimation and subjective emergency according to clothing color. Methods: This is a quasi-experimental study which involved the use of mock bleeding patients wearing different colors tops. Results: Differences in visual estimates according to clothing color were significant in both paramedic students (F=6.69, p=.002) and the general department students (F=20.92, p=.000). When looking specifically at the accuracy of visual estimates, the paramedic students group tended to underestimate (50% white, 62.5% black, 32.5% yellow) the actual blood volume in all experimental conditions. On the other hand, the general department group tended to overestimation (45% white, 40% black, 67.5% yellow). The subjective emergency was also found to differ between paramedic students (F=13.58, p=.000) and general department students (F=9.67, p=.000). Conclusion: Paramedics treating bleeding patients at pre-hospital stages need to pay attention to blood loss estimations depending on clothing color, a factor not to be neglected or underestimated.
Two protease inhibitors of 67 and 18 kDa, respectively, were purified from the eggs of glass fish, Liparis tanakai, by affinity chromatography and electro-elution method. The high molecular weight (HMW) protein was purified with a specific inhibitory activity, yield, and purity of 18.46 U/mg, 0.07%, and 131.86 fold, respectively, and was further characterized: Optimal temperature and pH for inhibitory activity of the HMW glassfish egg protease inhibitor were $40^{\circ}C$ and pH 6, respectively, and it was stable between $5^{\circ}C\;and\;50^{\circ}C$ in the pH range of 5-6 with maximal stability at pH 6. It was shown to be a competitive inhibitor against papain with an inhibition constant $(K_i)$ of 97.02 nM. Moreover, the 67 kDa protein inhibited cathepsin, a cysteine protease, more effectively than did an egg-white protease inhibitor. The HMW glassfish egg protease inhibitor was classified as a member of the family III (kininogen).
Objective: This study compared the outcomes of single blastocyst transfer cycles, using day- 5 poor-quality blastocysts and day-6 high-quality blastocysts. Methods: We analyzed 462 frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET) cycles performed at our center from January 2014 to December 2019. The cycles were divided into two groups: a day-5 poor-quality blastocyst transfer group (group A) and a day-6 high-quality blastocyst transfer group (group B). The clinical outcomes were tested. Results: In groups A and B, respectively, the clinical pregnancy rate (CPR; 61.65% vs. 67.17%, p=0.258), implantation rate (IR; 61.65% vs. 67.17%, p=0.258), and live birth rate (LBR; 69.51% vs. 77.83%, p=0.134) showed no significant differences. Moreover, when day-3 embryo quality was considered, the CPR, IR, and LBR were also similar in group A and group B (p>0.05). Conclusion: The clinical outcomes of day-5 poor-quality blastocysts and day-6 high-quality blastocysts were similar, suggesting that the developmental speed of the embryo might be more important than embryo quality for the clinical outcomes of single blastocyst transfer in FET cycles.
For a locus with two alleles (IA and IB), the frequencies of the alleles are represented by $$p=f(I^A)={\frac{2N_{AA}+N_{AB}}{2N},\;q=f(I^B)={\frac{2N_{BB}+N_{AB}}{2N}$$ where NAA, NAB and NBB are the numbers of IAIA, IAIB and IBIB respectively and N is the total number of populations. The frequencies of the genotypes expected are calculated by using p2, 2pq and q2. Choi showed the method of whether some genotypes is in these probabalities. Also he calculate the probability generating function for offspring number of genotype under a diploid model( [1]). In this paper, let x(t, p) be the probability that IA become fixed in the population by time t-th generation, given that its initial frequency at time t = 0 is p. We find adapted equations for x using the mean change of frequence of alleles and fitness of genotype. Also we apply this adapted equations to several diploid model and it also will apply to actual examples.
