토양의 산성화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Acidification of Soils)

  • pH($H_2O$), pH(KCI), CEC(cation exchange capacity), O.M.(organic matter) and exchangeable cations(K, Na, Ca, Mg) of paddy soil, upland soil and forest soil in Kumi city were investigated for the purpose of knowing soil acidification and the correlation between soil acidification and leaching of inorganic salts. The mean pH($H_2O$) values of paddy soil were 5.23(surface soil) and 5.69(subsoil) and 4.74(subsoil). The were 6.37(surface soil) and 6.11(subsoil), and those of forest soil were 4.67(surface soil) and 4.74(subsoil). The mean pH(KCl) values of paddy soil were 4.59(surface soil) and 4.98(subsoil) were 5.48(surface soil) and 5.04(subsoil), and those of forest soil were 3.82(surface soil) and 3.89(subsoil). The acidification of forest soil was more rapid than that of paddy soil and upland soil/ The total mean amounts of exchangeable cations(K, Na, Ca, Mg) in paddy soils were 6.14me/100g(surface soil) and 5.64me/100g(subsoil), and those in upland soils were 6.86me/100g(surface soil) and 6.65me/100g(subsoil), and those in forest soils were 4.06me/100g(surface soil) and 3.34me/100g(subsoil). The contents of inorganic salts in forest soil were much less than those of paddy soil and upland soil. The correlation coefficients(r) between pH($H_2O$) values and the total amounts of exchangeable cations in soils were $0.6635^{**}$(surface soil) and $0.6946^{**}$(subsoil), and those between pH(KCl) values and exchangeable cations in soils were 0.6629(surface soil) and $0.5675^{**}$(subsoil). The correlation between soil acidification and leaching of inorganic salts in soil was positively significant at 1% level.

우리나라 농경지토양(農耕地土壤)의 지형별(地形別) 이화학적(理化學的) 특성(特性) (Physico-chemical Properties of Soils Developed on the Different Topographies in Korea)

  • 토양환경(土壤環境) 개량(改良)의 기초자료(基礎資料)인 토양(土壤)의 입경분포(粒徑分布) 및 몇가지 화학성(化學性)에 대(對)한 대표(代表)값을 지형별(地形別)(용암류태지(熔岩流台地) 제외(除外))로 파악(把握)하기 위하여 5,216개(個)(답(畓)3.075 그리고 전(田)2,140)의 시(市) 군(郡) 대표토양(代表土壤) 분석치(分析値)를 이용(利用) 전산(電算)처리하였다. 1. 논토양(土壤) 표토(表土)에서 대표(代表)값은 점토(粘土) 20.4%, pH 5.8, 유기물(有機物) 2.6%, CEC 10.4me/100g, 치환성(置換性) K 0.26me/100g 그리고 유효린산(有效燐酸) 89ppm이었다. 밭토양(土壤)에선 각각(各各) 17.3%, 5.5, 1.8% 9.1, 0.29me/100g 그리고 103ppm이었다. 2. 토양특성(土壤特性)은 지형(地形)에 따라 큰 차리(差異)를 나타내었다. 논토양(土壤) 표토(表土)에서 하해혼성평탄지(河海混成平坦地)는 점토(粘土) 21.4%, pH 6.0, 유기물(有機物) 2.2%, CEC 10.8me/100g, 치환성(置換性) K 0.39me/100g 그리고 유효인산(有效燐酸) 57ppm, 하성평탄지(河成平坦地)는 각각(各各) 15.3%, 5.7, 2.0%, 8.6me/100g, 0.17me/100g 그리고 76ppm, 곡간(谷間).선상지(扇狀地)는 각각(各各) 18.8%, 5.9, 2.7%, 10.4me/100g, 0.19me/100g 그리고 80ppm, 홍적태지(洪積台地)는 각각(各各) 20.0%, 5.7, 2.5%, 11.5me/100g, 10.26me/100g 그리고 91ppm, 산록경사지(山麓傾斜地)는 각각(各各) 21.5%, 5.7, 3.4%, 10.6me/100g, 10.27me/100g 그리고 141ppm이었다. 3. 밭토양(土壤) 표토(表土)의 경우(境遇) 하해혼성평탄지(河海混成坪坦地)는 점토(粘土) 5.5%, pH 5.7, 유기물(有機物) 1.1%, CEC 4.7me/100g, 치환성(置換性) K 0.17me/100g 그리고 유효린담(有效燐談) 50ppm, 하성평탄지(河成平坦地)는 각각(各各) 10.3%, 5.5, 1.4%, 7.6me/100g, 0.26me/100g, 그리고 160ppm, 곡간선상지(谷間扇狀地)는 각각(各各) 13.9%, 5.4, 1.8%, 9.3me/100g, 0.34me/100g 그리고 184ppm, 홍적태지(洪積台地)는 각각(各各) 29.87%, 5.3, 2.1%, 11.2me/100g, 0.40me/100g 그리고 58ppm, 산록경사지(山麓傾斜地)는 각각(各各) 20.0%, 5.7, 2.7%, 11.4me/100g, 0.32me/100g, 그리고 116ppm, 구릉지(丘陵地)는 각각(各各) 24.6%, 5.3, 1.8%, 10.2me/100g, 0.28me/100g, 그리고 51ppm 이었다. 4. 토양중(土壤中) 점토(粘土)을 제외(除外)하고는 pH, 유기물(有機物), CEC, 치환성(置換性) K 및 유효린산(有效燐酸)의 함양(含量)은 개량목표치(改良目標値)에 미달(未達)하였고 지형(地形)에 따라 큰 차리(差異)를 보였다. 5. 토양중(土壤中) 유기물(有機物), 치환성염기(置換性鹽基) 및 유효린산(有效燐酸)의 함양(含量)은 정규분포(正規分布)하지 않았으며, 토양특성(土壤特性)이 정규분포(正規分布)한다는 가정하(假定下)에 평균(平均)값의 68 및 95% 구간(區間)이 계산(計算)되었다.

유기태 셀레늄과 비타민 E의 복합 급여가 산란계의 생산성, 셀레늄 축적 및 난질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dietary Organic Selenium and Vitamin E on Performance, Selenium Retention and Quality of Egg in Laying Hens)

  • 비타민 E 100 IU, selenium yeast로 셀레늄을 0.9 ppm과 비타민 E를 50, 100 및 150 IU로 복합 첨가하였을 때 산란계의 산란율, 난중, 1일 산란량, 사료 섭취량, 사료 요구율, 난질, 계란의 저장성 및 계란 내 셀레늄 축적에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 시험 전 기간의 산란율과 1일 산란량은 비타민 E 100 IU 첨가구와 유기태 셀레늄 0.9 ppm과 비타민 E 50 IU 복합 첨가구가 대조구에 비하여 높았으며(P<0.05), 사료 섭취량과 사료 요구율은 대조구를 포함한 모든 처리구에서 차이가 없었다. Haugh unit는 5주에 비타민 E 100 IU 첨가구와 유기태 셀레늄 0.9 ppm과 비타민 E 50 IU 복합 첨가구가 대조구를 포함한 다른 처리구에 비하여 높았으며(P<0.05), 난황색은 1주에 유기태 셀레늄 0.9 ppm에 비타민 E 50 IU와 100 IU를 복합 첨가한 구가 대조구를 포함한 다른 처리구에 비하여 높았다(P<0.05). 계란의 셀레늄 함량은 유기태 셀레늄 0.9 ppm에 비타민 E 50, 100 및 150 IU를 복합 첨가한 모든 처리구가 대조구와 비타민 E 100 IU 첨가구에 비하여 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 계란 난황 내 ACL은 유기태 셀레늄 0.9 ppm와 비타민 E 150 IU 복합 첨가구가 대조구를 포함한 다른 처리구에 비하여 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 계란의 저장 기간별 Haugh unit는 대조구를 포함한 모든 처리구에서 저장기간이 경과할수록 감소하였으나, 셀레늄 0.9 ppm과 비타민 E 150 IU를 복합 첨가한 경우에는 저장 1일차에서 5일차까지의 Haugh unit에 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결과를 종합하면 산란계 사료에 유기태 셀레늄 0.9 ppm 첨가하면서 비타민 E를 50, 100 및 150 IU를 복합 첨가시 산란율은 유기태 셀레늄 0.9 ppm 첨가하면서 비타민 E를 50 IU 복합 첨가하면 개선되었으며, 난황내 지용성 항산화물과 계란의 저장성은 유기태 셀레늄 0.9 ppm 첨가하면서 비타민 E를 150 IU 복합 첨가하면 향상되었다.

가열에 의한 김치의 pH, 관능성 및 휘발성냄새성분의 변화 (Changes in pH, Sensory Properties and Volatile Odor Components of Kimchi by Heating)

  • 김치를 $25^{\circ}C$에서 4일간 숙성시킨 후, pH와 관능성을 관찰하고 몇가지 주요한 휘발성냄새성분의 변화를 관찰하였다. pH는 가열에 의하여 거의 변화가 없었다. 전반적인 기호도는 가열된 시료, 특히 40분 가열시료의 기호도수치가 높았으며 3시료 사이에 유의적인 차이를 보였다(p<0.05). 산미, 맛, 냄새, 조직감의 경우도 전반적인 기호도와 유사한 경향을 보였으나, 형태의 경우는 3시료 사이에 차이가 없었다. 휘발성 냄새성분의 결과를 보면 reference(비가열시료)는 allyl mercaptan, methyl allyl sulfide, dimethyl disulfide, diallyl sulfide, diallyl disulfide와 같은 5종의 황함유성분과 ethanol이 검출되었는데, $100^{\circ}C/10$분시료는 ethanol과 methyl allyl sulfide만 검출되고 그 함량도 reference에 비하여 현저하게 감소하였으며, $100^{\circ}C/40$분 시료는 $100^{\circ}C/10$분 시료와 비교하여 ethanol의 함량은 현저히 감소하고 methyl allyl sulfide의 함량은 거의 변화가 없었다.

Effect of dietary metallo-protease and Bacillus velezensis CE 100 supplementations on growth performance, footpad dermatitis and manure odor in broiler chickens

  • Objective: This study focused on the effect of dietary metallo-protease and Bacillus velezensis CE 100 on growth performance, carcass parameters, intestinal microflora, footpad dermatitis (FPD), and manure odor in broiler chickens. Methods: One hundred-ten (two-day-old Ross 308) broiler chicks were randomly assigned to five groups with two replicate pens. The dietary treatments were divided to control, metallo-protease groups (A1, added with 0.1%; A2, added with 0.2%) and B. velezensis CE 100 groups (B1, added with 0.5%; B2, added with 1.0%). Results: The feed intake was decreased in A1 and B2 compared to the other group (p<0.05). The liver weight was lower in B2 than in A2 (p<0.05). The Salmonella in the cecum was decreased in A2 compared to control and A1 (p<0.05). However, the lactic acid bacteria were increased in all treatments (p<0.05). The litter moisture content was decreased in A2, B1, and B2 (p<0.05). The litter quality visual score was increased in all treatments (p<0.05). The FPD score and prevalence were reduced in all treatments (p<0.05). The (CH3)2S emission was decreased in all treatments (p<0.05). Conclusion: The present study indicated that both additives improve litter quality and reduce the incidence of FPD. These findings suggest that dietary metallo-protease and B. velezensis CE 100 have the potential to improve the broiler chickens' welfare.

The Effect of Lysine to Protein Ratio on Growth Performance and Efficiency of Nitrogen Utilization in Pigs

  • One feeding trial and two metabolic trials were conducted to investigate the effects of lysine to protein ratio in practical swine diets on growth performance and efficiency of nitrogen retention and utilization in different growing phases. In Trial one (the feeding trial), 90 mixed sex pigs weighing $9.1{\pm}1.4kg$ (Duroc ${\times}$ Landrance ${\times}$ Beijing Black) were used to study the effects of concentrations of 5.2, 5.3, 5.8, 6.4 and 7.2 g lysine/100 g CP in diets containing 1.2% lysine on growth performance and serum urea nitrogen. The results showed that feed conversion efficiency and economic efficiency were best for pigs fed the diet containing the lysine concentration of 5.8 g /100 g crude protein. Serum urea nitrogen concentration decreased linearly (p=0.0009) and serum free lysine content increased linearly (p=0.0017) as the lysine to protein ratio in diets increased from 5.2 to 7.2 g/100 g. In Trials two and three (the metabolic trials), five growing barrows (Duroc ${\times}$ Landrance ${\times}$ Beijing black), with initial body weights of approximately $26{\pm}2.4kg$ and $56.3{\pm}3.5kg$, respectively, were allotted to five dietary treatments according to a $5{\times}5$ Latin square design. Trial two contained 5.2, 5.7, 6.1, 6.7 and 6.8 g lysine/100 g CP treatments. Trial three contained 4.6, 5.0, 5.6, 6.1 and 6.6 g lysine/100 g CP treatments. The results showed that nitrogen retention in growing pigs decreased linearly (p=0.0011 in Trial two; p=0.0099 in Trial three) as the lysine to protein ratio in diets increased. The ratio of lysine to protein in diets resulting in maximum nitrogen retention was 5.2 g/100 g and 5.0 g/100 g in Trial two and Trial three, respectively. In Trial two, apparent biological value and gross nitrogen efficiency increased linearly (p=0.0135 and p=0.0192, respectively) as the lysine to protein ratio increased from 5.2 to 6.8 g lysine/100 g CP. In summary, we concluded that the optimal Lysine to Protein Ratios for 8-20 kg and 20-80 kg pigs were 5.8 g/100 g and 5.0 to 5.2 g/100 g, respectively.

Physicochemical properties of sausage manufactured with carp (Carassius carassius) muscle and pork

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the physicochemical properties of sausage manufactured with carp (Carassius carassius) muscle and pork. Sausages were prepared using either 100% pork sausage (P10), a mixture of 50% pork and 50% carp muscle (P5C5), or 100% carp muscle (C10). The quality of the sausage emulsion was determined by analyzing approximate composition, pH, instrumental color, cooking yield, water holding capacity (WHC), viscosity, and texture profile analysis (TPA). Moisture content of cooked C10 was significantly higher than that of P10 or P5C5 (p < 0.05); however, protein content of cooked P10 was significantly higher than that of C10 (p < 0.05). The pH of uncooked and cooked C10 was significantly higher than that of P10 and P5C5 (p < 0.05). The cooking yield, WHC, and texture profile analysis of C10 were higher than those of P10 and P5C5 (p < 0.05). In addition, the viscosity of uncooked C10 was higher than that of P10 and P5C5. These results suggest that carp muscle can enhance sausage quality with respect to pH, WHC, cooking yield, viscosity, and TPA.

화산회토양에서 Arbuscular Mycorrhizae 에 의한 토마토의 인광석 이용 (Rock Phosphate with Mycorrhizae as P Source for Tomato Plant in Volcanic Ash Soil)

  • Mycorrhizae가 형성된 식물에서 인광석이 인산급원으로 이용될 수 있는 지를 검토하기 위하여 온실 실험을 수행하였다. 멸균된 제주 화산회토에 인광석과 용성인비를 100및 200 mg P/kg 수준으로 처리하고 토마토를 재배하였는데 토마토는 mycorrhizae 접종구와 비접종구를 두고 3개월간 재배한 후 식물생육과 인을 비롯한 무기영양소 흡수를 조사하였다. 용성인비 처리구에 비하여 인광석 처리구에서 생육이 현저히 저해되었는데 이는 인광석처리에 따른 토양중의 유효인산 부족 때문일 것이다. 용성인비와 인광석 200 mg P/kg 처리구에스는 mycorrhizae균의 접종에 따라 건물량이 증가하였다. Mycorrhizae 형성율과 토양중의 포자밀도는 인광석 처리구에서 낮았다. 식물체중의 인 함량은 용성인비 처리구에서 높았으며, mycorrhizae 처리 효과는 없었다. N, K, Ca, Mg 등의 함량에서도 처리별로 차이는 없었다. 이상의 결과를 볼 때, 제주 화산회토양에서 $100{\sim}200\;mg\;P/kg$ 수준의 인광석 처리로는 mycorrhizae 형성 여부에 상관없이 적정 식물생육을 위한 인 공급이 될 수 없는 것으로 판단되었다.

소성온도에 따른 굴 패각의 영양염 제거 성능 평가 (Evaluation of Nutrients Removal using Pyrolyzed Oyster Shells)

  • 소성 굴 패각의 PO4-P 및 NH3-N의 제거성능을 평가하기 위해 100℃(POS100), 600℃(POS600), 800℃(POS800)로 소성시킨 굴 패각을 시료충전층에 채워 인공오수를 통과시키는 실내실험을 통해 PO4-P 및 NH3-N의 제거 성능을 확인하였다. 시료충전층을 통과한 유출수는 굴 패각에서 용출된 CaO의 영향으로 pH가 상승한 것으로 조사되었다. PO4-P 제거량은 최대 약 23.1 mg/kg(POS100), 16.1 mg/kg(POS600), 15.9 mg/kg(POS800)으로, POS100의 PO4-P 제거량이 높게 나타난 것으로 확인되었다. PO4-P 제거 요인으로는 굴 패각의 Ca 및 Dolomite가 PO4-P를 흡착·침전시킨 것으로 판단된다. NH3-N 제거량은 최대 약 3.56 mg/kg(POS100), 5.72 mg/kg(POS600), 3.97 mg/kg(POS800)으로 나타났다. NH3-N의 제거율이 낮은 요인으로는 불안정한 질산화 과정, pH의 상승으로 인해 NH3-N가 NH4+로 변환된 영향 등의 복합적인 원인으로 판단된다. 이상의 결과를 통해 소성 굴 패각은 화학 반응을 통해 PO4-P 및 NH3-N 농도를 감소시킨 것으로 판단되며, 본 연구의 결과는 향후 소성 굴 패각을 활용한 하수처리 기술개발을 위한 기초자료로 활용 될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Effects of Sex and Market Weight on Performance, Carcass haracteristics and Pork Quality of Market Hogs

  • An experiment was conducted to examine the effects of sex and market weight on performance, carcass characteristics and pork quality. A total of 224 crossbred pigs (initially 26.64 kg BW) were allotted in a $2{\times}4$ factorial arrangement in a randomized complete block (RCB) design. The variables were sex (gilts and barrows) and different market weights (100, 110, 120 and 130 kg). Average daily gain (ADG) and average daily feed intake (ADFI) were significantly higher (p<0.01) in barrows than gilts, ADFI and feed conversion ratio (FCR) increased as body weight increased (p<0.05). Gender differences were observed in carcass characteristics. Backfat thickness and drip loss were greater in barrows (p<0.01), while loin eye area (p<0.01), flavor score (p<0.05) and lean content (p<0.001) were higher in gilts. Carcass grade and water holding capacity were the highest in 110 kg market weight pigs. The 100 kg arket weight pigs showed lower juiciness, tenderness, shear forces and total palatability than the other market weights (p<0.01). Hunter values (L*, a* and b*) were increased as market weight increased (p<0.05). Hunter a* value was greater in gilts (p<0.01) but L* value and b* value were not affected by sex of pigs. Net profit [(carcass weight${\times}$price by carcass grade)-(total feed cost+cost of purchased pig)] was higher in gilts than barrows (p<0.01), and was higher (p<0.05) in the pigs marketed at 110 and 120 kg market weight compared with 100 kg market weight. These results demonstrated that gilts showed higher carcass characteristics, pork quality, feed cost per kg body weight gain and net profit compared with barrows. Moreover, 110 or 120 kg body weight would be the recommended market weight based on pork quality and net profit for swine producers.
