Effect of Seatangle Oligosaccharide Drink on Oxidation of Serum Lipid and Bleeding and Plasma Clotting Time in Rats Fed a Hyperlipidemic Diet (해조 올리고당 음료가 고지혈증 유도 쥐에 있어서 혈액 지질 산화 및 혈액ㆍ혈장 응고에 미치는 영향)

  • We investigated the effect of seatangle drink and seatangle extract on lipid oxidation, blood coagulation and intestinal movement in rats fed a hyperlipidemic diet. In the dietary hyperlipidemic induced group, the serum superoxide dismutase activity decreased and formation of hydroxy radical increased when compared to normal group, but these were controlled by seatangle drink treatment. The decreased of bleeding time and increased of tissue factor in the dietary hyperlipidemic rats were regulated by seatangle drink and seatangle extract, and especially the activity of tissue factor was remarkably decreased. Seatangle drink and seatangle extract were increased contraction on intestinal movement. Therefore, it can be concluded that seatangle drink or seatangle extract treatment depresses changing in absorption of gastrointestinal track in rats fed a hyperlipidemic diet.

  • AAO(Anodic Aluminum Oxidation) method has been known that it is practically useful for the fabrication of nano-structures and makes it possible to fabricate the highly ordered nano masters on large surface and even on the 2.5 or 3D surface at low cost comparing to the expensive e-beam lithography or the conventional silicon processing. In this study, by using the multi-step anodizing and etching processes, highly ordered nano patterned master with concave shapes was fabricated. By varying the processing parameters, such as initial matter and chemical conditions; electrical and thermal conditions; time scheduling; and so on, the size and the pitch of the nano pattern can be controlled. Consequently, various alumina/aluminum nano structures can be easily available in any size and shape by optimized anodic oxidation in various aqueous acids. The resulting good filled uniform nano molded structure through hot embossing molding process shows the validity of the fabricated nano pattern masters.

  • A photo-labile compound which is bioinactive but, upon irradiation with light, yields bioactive species is called as "caged compound". Photolysis of caged compounds generating bioactive species, has become a general method to produce a desired amounts of bioactive species in the specific time interval at the desired place or area of the target biological systems. For this purpose, we designed and synthesized caged hydroxyl radical., "Photo-Fenton Reagent" NP-IIl. NP-IIl has a strong absorption maximum at 377 nm and yields hydroxyl radicals upon UV light irradiation. The antioxidant activity of the ${\alpha}$ -lipoic acid and other naturally occurring compounds has been examined by using NP-IIl as a molecular probe. For example, upon photoirradiation of NP-lII with BSA or apolipoprotein of human low density (LDL), the significant oxidative modifications were observed in both cases. The oxidation was completely suppressed in the presence of ${\alpha}$-lipoic acid, which clearly demonstrates the strong hydroxyl radical scavenging activity of ${\alpha}$-lipoic acid.   • In this study we fabricate Knife type Si-tip array using (110) Si wafer. We can fabricate vertical structure by anisotropic etching using EPW and observe it by SEM. After the step, we perform isotropic etching and oxidation sharpening of the structure and also observe it by SEM, respectively. The purpose of isotropic etching is to reduce the oxidation time. We attain a optimal tip whose radius is about $100{\AA}$ after anisotropic etching 2.25 min.+isotropic etching 5 min.+oxidation 1 hour and 23 min.

  • The crystal structure of surface coatings on Al1050 alloy by PEO (Plasma Electrolytic Oxidation), were investigated. The electrolyte for PEO was Na-Si-P system solution. The main crystalline phase were $\gamma$-alumina and $\alpha$-alumina. Crystallinity was increased with applied voltage and applied time. The dominant crystalline phase were affected not only chemical composition of Al alloy substrate and electrolyte, but also the +/- ratio of applied voltage.

  • Boronizing treatment of Microalloyed steel has been investigated by mean of Boronizing paste mainly consisted of $B_4C$ at various temperatures and times. The micro hardness of the boride layers were about HV 1200~1500. The thickness of the boride layer were increased with an increase of square root of treatment time at constant temperature. The activation energy for diffusion of boron in the specimen obtained from the slope of Arrhenius plots was 254 kJ/mol, but 197 kJ/mol for the induction heated specimen. The boride layer had a good corrosion resistance in solutions of 20% HCl and 20% $H_2SO_4$, solution. In 20% $HNO_3$ solution, however, its corrosion resistance increased. The boride layer had a good high temperature oxidation resistance at below $800^{\circ}C$, but at temperature above $900^{\circ}C$, the oxidation resistance decreased as the oxidation temperature.

알루미늄의 常溫壓接에 관한 硏究 II

  • This paper was studied about the influence of oxidized films on workability in cold pressure welding. In preceding studies, the principal foci of the studies about pressure welding were considered several factors(surface manufacturing methods, surface roughness, pressure welding speed and surface temperature). But the influence to the growth of oxidation have hardly known well. So the purpose of this paper consists in solving the question above and proposing the optimal states of the pressure welding. Therefore the results obtained is as the following; When the oxidation time is within about 2 minutes, the bonding strength is very good after surface manufacturing of the neighboring to be bonded. The more surfaces are fine the more bonding strength is excellent. Above all, the optimal condition of cold pressure welding is the state that the characteristic value is 38% with smooth surface and without oxidation.

  • Ignition of $NH_3-O_2-Ar$ mixtures have been studied behind reflected shock waves over the temperature range of 1600-2300 K and the pressures in the range of 1.1-1.6 atm. The pressure profile and the radiation emitted behind the shock waves have been monitored to give empirical correlations between ignition delay times and the mixture concentrations with the experimental conditions. On the basis of this data, several kinetic mechanisms proposed for ammonia oxidation at high temperatures have been tested. The ignition delay times obtained from the mechanism proposed by Miller and Smook were in good agreement with our experimental results.

  • The present study was performed to develop the removal system of the offensive gases, including hydrogen sulfide of acid gas, ammonia or amice of base gas, from the nightsoil treatment plant. In order to remove the offensive gases, the Fe-EDTA system liquid phase catalytic oxidation method with the bubble lift column reactor was employed. From the results obtained, it was confirmed that the offensive gases can be deodorized simultaneously and also hydrogen sulfide of acid gas, ammonia of base gas completely removed at pH 6.45. In addition, as input gases feed rate the efficiency of acid gas did not change but the efficiency of base gases decreased to approximately 90 % at pH 6, 0. From the result of particle size analyzer, it was found that the particle sizes including sulfur and other impurites grew up to $21{\mu}m$ over 72hour reaction time.

  • It is shown that the ac breakdown strength, treeing phenomena, oxidation level, and crystallinity of unaged and aged distribution CV cables vary with XLPE insulations (characterizing anti-oxidation) and curing process. The maximum size of bow-tie tree in insulation influenced on the decrease of ac breakdown strength and the increase of oxidation level and crystallinity of XLPE according to aging time lead to increase the size and density of bow-tie trees.
