In this paper, we introduce an design of fuzzy relation-based fuzzy neural networks with multi-output. Fuzzy relation-based fuzzy neural networks comprise the network structure generated by dividing the entire input space. The premise part of the fuzzy rules of the network reflects the relation of the division space for the entire input space and the consequent part of the fuzzy rules expresses three types of polynomial functions such as constant, linear, and modified quadratic. For the multi-output structure the neurons in the output layer were connected with connection weights. The learning of fuzzy neural networks is realized by adjusting connections of the neurons both in the consequent part of the fuzzy rules and in the output layer, and it follows a back-propagation algorithm. In addition, in order to optimize the network, the parameters of the network such as apexes of membership functions, learning rate and momentum coefficient are automatically optimized by using real-coded genetic algorithm. Two examples are included to evaluate the performance of the proposed network.

This study investigated the process of thermal-induced growth of micro-crack developed at the crystalline solar cell using EL image, determined the output characteristic according to the pattern of micro-crack, analyzed the I-V characteristic according to the pattern of crack growth, and predicted the output value using simulation. The purpose of this study was, therefore, to investigate the process of thermal-induced growth of micro-crack developed at the early stage of PV module completion using EL image, to analyze the resulting decrement of output and predict the output value using simulation. It was observed that the crack grew increasingly by the thermal condition, and accordingly the lowering of output was accelerated. The output values of crack patterns with various direction were predicted using simulation, resulting in close I-V curve with only around 4% of error rate. It is considered that it is possible to predict the electric characteristic of solar cell module using only pattern of micro-crack occurred at solar cell based on our results.

In spatially multiplexed MIMO systems that enable high data rate transmission over wireless communication channels, the spatial demultiplexing at the receiver is a challenging task and various demultiplexing methods have been developed. Among the previous methods, maximum likelihood detection with QR decomposition and M-algorithm (QRM-MLD), sphere decoding (SD), QOC, and MOC schemes have been reported to achieve a (near) maximum likelihood (ML) hard decision performance. In general, however, the reliability of soft output of these schemes is not satisfactory. In this paper, we propose a method which enhances the reliability of soft output. By computer simulations, we demonstrate the improved performance by the proposed method.

This study is focused on the evaluation of thermal output of TABS (Thermally Activated Building System). The aim of this study is to evaluate TABS in terms of the temperature difference between heating medium supply temperature ($T_s$) and return temperature ($T_r$), thermal output and the surface temperature distribution according to the design flow rate and the design flow temperature. Through the transient heat transfer simulation using temperature calculation using Crank-Nicolson FDM using Physibel Voltra 6.0 W, the temperature difference between $T_s$ and $T_r$, thermal output and the surface temperature distribution of specific TABS was calculated and evaluated. The results show that specific thermal output and temperature difference at $60^{\circ}C$ of supply water temperature were about 162 $W/m^2$, $13.6^{\circ}C$ respectively.
Herein, we consider uplink multiuser massive multiple-input multiple-output systems when multiple users transmit information symbols to a base station (BS) by applying simple space-time block coding (STBC). At the BS receiver, two detection filters for each user are used to detect the STBC information symbols. One of these filters is for odd-indexed symbols and the other for even-indexed symbols. Using constrained output variance metric minimization, we first derive a special relation between the closed-form optimal solutions for the two detection filters. Then, using the derived special relation, we propose a new blind adaptive algorithm for implementing the minimum output variance-based optimal filters. In the proposed adaptive algorithm, filter weight vectors are updated only in the region satisfying the special relation. Through a theoretical analysis of the convergence speed and a computer simulation, we demonstrate that the proposed scheme exhibits faster convergence speed and lower steady-state bit error rate than the conventional scheme.

A model analysis method has been developed in the paper. The method estimates the modal parameters of multiple input-output systems, assesses their quality, and seperates structural modes form computation ones. The modal parameter extraction algorithm is the least squares method with a finite difference model relating input and output time data. The quality of the estimated system model can be assessed in narrow frequency bands by comparing the measured and model predicted responses in time domain with the aid of digital filters. Structural modes can be effectively separated from computational ones using the convergence factor which represents the pole convergence rate. The modal analysis method has been applied to simulated and experimental vibration data to evaluate its utility and limitations.

In this paper, we suggested the diagnosis of the optical FSK transmitter output characteristics using the Micheloson interferometer. The transmitter is designed by the direct frequency modulation effect of a semoconductor laser diode. The optical FSK transmitter consists of a temperature stabilized semiconductor laser diode and an optimally designed equalizer. It is modulated by 100Mbit/s PRBS Generator to diagonosis of Optical FSK transmitter output characteristics. The Michelson Interferometer is used for the optical frequency discriminator which transforms the output frequency of the transmitter to the amplitude of light. The measurement of the performance of the transmitter to the amplitude of light. The measurement of the performance of the transmitter computer the transmitted data and their eye pattern with the simulation results, the received data and their eye pattern. As the result of experiment, the data transfer rate of the transmitters is 100Mbit/s.

This paper presents an implementation of Pill controller for DC-DC converter using the microcontroller. The features of the microcontroller such as the on chip ADC and Pulse width Modulator (PWM) eliminate the external components needed to perform these functions. The duty rate cycle for the DC-DC converter can be updated every time when the (ADC) conversation and the calculation time are finished. The stable response can be obtained for any kind of DC-DC converters. The SMPS controller looks at the converter output, compares the output to a set point, performs a control algorithm (Pill algorithm) and finally applies the algorithm output to the PWM. PWM output is then used to drive the DC-DC converter. Figure (1) shows a simplified block diagram of a complete DC-DC converter system.

The sphere decoder (SD) has recently been proposed to perform maximum likelihood (ML) decoding for multi-input multi-output systems. Employing a 'breadth-first' searching algorithm for closet points in a lattice, we propose a novel ML decoding scheme for multi-input multi-output systems. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has the same bit error rate performance as the conventional ML decoders while allowing significantly lower computational burden than the SD.

This paper proposes a new output-buffered multicast ATM switch with tandem crosspoints switching fabric, named the MTCOS(Multicast Tandem Crosspoint Output-buffered Switch). The MTCOS consists of multiple simple crosspoint switch fabrics, named TCSF(Tandem Crosspoint Switch Fabric) , and concentrated output buffers for efficient multicasting. The TCSF resolves the cell delay deviation problem which the self-routing crossbar switches inherently have. Further, it offers multiple concurrent pathes from one input to multiple output ports. It also provides multi-channel switching by easy software configuration and has several desirable characteristics such as scalability, high Performance, and modularity. A shared traffic concentration and output queuing strategies of the MTCOS results in lower cell loss as well as lower cell delay time over a wide range of multicast traffic. Furthermore, it has lower hardware complexity than that of the SCOQ and Knockout multicast switch to achieve the same Knockout concentration rate as the conventional switches. It is shown that the proposed switch can be easily applied to design high performance for any multicast traffic by analytic analysis and computer simulation.
