PURPOSE: This study sought to investigate the change in the satisfaction levels of healthcare students regarding clinical practice before and after the coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) outbreak. METHODS: This was a longitudinal survey using a structured questionnaire. The first survey was conducted before the COVID-19 outbreak in April 2018, and the second survey was conducted after the outbreak from May to June 2022. The questionnaire used before and after COVID-19 had the same content and was categorized into the following six factors to determine clinical practice satisfaction: practice guidance, practice environment, practice time, practice evaluation, interpersonal relationships, and effectiveness of practice. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, a total of 153 healthcare students (average age: 22.43 ± 1.47 years old), participated from 4 departments: nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and dental hygiene. After COVID-19, 84 students (average age: 22.75 ± 2.87 years old), from the physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, and dental hygiene departments participated in the survey. RESULTS: Clinical practice satisfaction was evaluated considering the factors of practical guidance, practice environment, practice time, interpersonal relationships, and practical effects. It was observed that the satisfaction with clinical practice increased in nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and dental hygiene students after COVID-19 compared to the situation before the outbreak. There was no difference seen in the practice time and practice evaluation factors in the occupational therapy department and in the practice time factor in the dental hygiene department before and after COVID. CONCLUSION: In clinical practice under the extremely constrained circumstances imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, it seems that the emotional internal response is greater, and the satisfaction with clinical practice appears to be relatively higher than before the outbreak.

Objectives: To compare the levels of anxiety on GAD-7 scale among undergraduates of dental, medical and engineering students during COVID-19. The secondary objectives were to correlate the factors influencing level of anxiety and to assess the coping strategies practiced by undergraduates' students of Karachi duri.ng COVID-19 outbreak. Methodology: The cross-sectional based survey was conducted online among the medical, dental and engineering undergraduates' university students of private sector in Karachi through purposive sampling technique during COVID-19 lock down period. The GAD-7 validated tool was used along with the demographic variables, related stress factors and the coping skills practiced during this outbreak. Total 571 questionnaires were found completed in all sections. The data was analyzed on SPSS version 23. P-value <0.05 was considered as statistically significant. Results: The mental health of the students was assessed on GADS-7 scale as normal, mild, moderate and severe levels. From the total (n=18-3.2%) were normal, (n=132-23.1%) had mild, (n=343-60.1%) had moderate and (n=78-13.7%) had severe anxiety level on GADS-7. The levels of anxiety on GAD-7 scale were all positively associated with the related stressors at p-value of 0.000. Moreover the results depicted that there was a moderate and positive correlation found (0.456, 0.447, 0.512 and 0.452) for all related stressors and GAD-7 scale. Taking breaks from watching, reading news regarding the outbreak of COVID-19, meditation and engaging in some other activities were the most frequently used coping strategies for all levels of anxiety among three cohorts of undergraduates'. Conclusion: Undergraduates has shown 96.9% drastically increased level of anxiety during the outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic. Taking breaks from watching, reading news regarding the outbreak of COVID-19 was the most frequent behavior practiced by the students.
This study examines how South Korean governments responded to the outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS) using the adaptive governance framework. As of November 24, 2015, the MERS outbreak in South Korea resulted in the quarantine of about 17,000 people, 186 cases confirmed, and a death of 38. Although the national government had overall responsibility for MERS response, there is no clear understanding of how the ministries, agencies, and subnational governments take an adaptive response to the public health crisis. The paper uses the adaptive governance framework to understand how South Korean governments respond to the unexpected event regarding the following aspects: responsiveness, public learning, scientific learning, and representativeness of the decision mechanisms. The framework helps understand how joint efforts of the national and subnational governments were coordinated to the unexpected conditions. The study highlights the importance of adaptive governance for an effective response to a public-health related extreme event.

At the end of 2019, there was the major outbreak of "COVID-19" in China. In this outbreak prevention and control campaign, the property management enterprises(PME) performed actively, playing a vital role in China. This paper puts forward that the property management enterprises(PME) should be included as subjects of national urban and rural community governance from the perspective of the public product attribute of property management. Based on the properties of public goods in property management, this paper redefines the functions and positioning of PME with public affairs management, establishes the qualification of PME to participate in one of the main bodies of community public governance. And it forms a new model of community governance with community residents committees, owner' committee and PME as the main body. This research provides implications for national urban and rural community governance models by applying existing theories and practical examples.

This paper presents the mathematical model for the MERS-CoV outbreak in South Korea, and the optimal control for two intervention strategies (contact, hospitalization) is implemented. After the MERS-CoV outbreak, hospitalizing infected individuals did not help to prevent the spread of infection. However, the intervention to control contact was effective. It was effective the intervention to controlling both of contact and hospitalization of infection population.

This paper estimates defect and outbreak probabilities of each individual component from some subset of masked data where the exact component causing system failure might be unknown. A system consists of k components that fails whenever there is a defect in at least one of the components. Due to cost and time constraints it is not feasible to learn exactly which components are defective. Because, test procedures ascertain that the defective components belong to some subset of the k components. This phenomenon is termed masking. We describe a, b, c type in which a sample of masked subsets is subjected to intensive failure analysis. This recorded data of a, b, c type enables maximum likelihood estimation of defect probability of each individual component and leads to outbreak of the defective components in future masked failures.
The trajectories of 8 autonomous profiling floats deployed in the Kuroshio Extension region in February 2001 are used to depict the circulation pattern at the surface and 2000db. The corresponding sea surface topography maps created from satellite altimeter and dynamic height climatology were compared with the tracks of nearly coincident floats and were found to agree well in most cases except for the period June 5 to 16 2001. It is shown that over the period the conspicuous breakaway of the floats from an expected path is possibly associated with the abnormal path of the Kuroshio Extension such as an outbreak event, as revealed by AVHRR infrared and SeaWiFS chlorophyll-a images and cruise data in cross sections.

The outbreak of the deadly virus COVID-19 is said to infect 17.3Cr people around the globe since 2019. This outbreak is continuously affecting a lot of new people till this day and, most of it is said to under control. However, vaccines introduced around the world can help mitigate the risk of the virus. Apart from medical professionals, prediction models are also said to combinedly help predict the risk of infection based on given datasets. This paper is based on publication of a machine learning approach using regression models to predict the output based on dataset which have indictors grouped based on active, tested, recovered and critical cases along with regions and cities covering most of it from Dubai. Hence, the active cases are tested based on the other indicators and other attributes. The coefficient of the determination (r2) is 0.96, which is considered promising. This model can be used as an frame work, among others, to predict the resources related to the dangerous outbreak.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new type of respiratory disease that has been announced as a pandemic. The COVID-19 outbreak has changed the way we live. It has also changed the food service industry. This study aimed to identify trends in the food and food service industry after the COVID-19 outbreak and suggest research themes induced by industry trends. This study investigated the industry and academic information on the food and food service industry and societal trends resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak. The most noticeable changes in the food industry include the explosive increase in home meal replacement, meal-kit consumption, online orders, take-out, and drive-through. The adoption of technologies, including robots and artificial intelligence, has also been noted. Such industry trends are discussed in this paper from a research perspective, including consumer, employee, and organizational strategy perspectives. This study reviews the changes in the food service industry after COVID-19 and the implications that these changes have rendered to academia. The paper concludes with future expectations that would come in the era of COVID-19.
