The study population includes all the international business organizations operating in the Middle East, with the condition that they operate in at least four countries. The results showed that there is a significant effect of all dimensions of BPR in reducing costs in international business organizations operating in the Middle East. When studying the impact of the dimensions combined, the moral effect appeared at each processes (decentralization, re-engineering of human resources and industrial process technology), while the moral effect did not appear in (rebuilding organizational structures, improving total quality standards, and value engineering). This does not negate the importance of the impact of these dimensions, but rather shows a disparity between dimensions in reducing cost, when studying its combined effect. The study recommends that organizations should adopt modern management accounting methods, including value engineering, in order to identify and enhance activities that add value to the organization's operations, as well as identify and eliminate non-value adding activities, in order to reduce costs.

  • Recently, public organizations have been improving the classification in order to introduce records management reference table in accordance with the act on the management of public archives. However, there is no system to mount the revised records management reference table, and there is a problem in usability. The purpose of this study is to design a system function to manage the classification which is the foundation of records management for public organizations. In order to design the function, interviews with the records management specialists of the five public organizations were conducted. Based on this, we have designed a multi-classification system registration function, a hierarchical structure setting function of records, and a record management standard management function.

  • Governmental bodies generally conduct investigations for product safety management once new products are released to the market, in order to prevent distribution of illegal and defective items. Further, market surveillance activities are regularly conducted by the government to ensure distribution of safe products and recall any hazardous products. The safety investigations often involve a consumer monitoring system wherein consumer organizations participate in market monitoring to conduct surveys on illegal and defective products. As a result, the monitoring results of individual consumer organizations are available separately, but an integrated analysis of the data from all consumer organizations cannot be performed, thereby deterring comprehensive evaluation of the consumer monitoring system. In this study, we analyze the individual monitoring results of consumer organizations to understand the overall status and performance of comprehensive market monitoring and present the directions for desirable market surveillance policies. To this end, the effectiveness of market surveillance related to the distribution of products is verified through analysis of the interrelationships between the monitoring processes and performances of consumer organizations as well as their impact on the performances of the monitoring implementation processes; moreover, several improvement points and direction points are presented for more desirable monitoring of the consumer markets.
