  • This study was carried out in order to verify the influence that recognition was mad to organization commitment, organizational culture type leadership of a social welfare organization. The study object a total Part 456 was used to analysis as social worker engaged in to social welfare agency. It was for an independent variable to revolutionized leadership, exchanged leadership as leadership type, and it was organizational culture an mediator variable, analyzed correlation of organization commitment, analysis return in order to grasp an influence to be mad to organization commitment material leadership type, executed path analysis so that direct and indirect effect being mad to organization commitment organizational culture through leadership type. Result of research, A total effect to affect regarding organization commitment, there is most a lot of revolutionized leadership, affected that organization culture appeared group culture of an organization, exchanged leadership, development culture. A leader of a social welfare organization shall improve self-participation and business efficiency voluntary of an employee through revolutionized leadership, in order to improve organization commitment of an employee, this leadership types had to improve organization commitment of an employee as group culture of an organization.

he Effects of Managerial Leadership on Organizational Culture and Organizational Commitment;The Case of Hospital Head Nurses (관리자 리더십이 조직문화 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향;병원 수간호사를 중심으로)

  • Purpose : The purpose of the present study was to examine the causal relationships among head nurses' leadership (consideration oriented leadership, structure initiated leadership), nursing unit culture (human development culture, task development culture), and nurses' organizational commitment. Method : Four large general hospitals located in and around Seoul were selected to participate. The total sample of 286 registered nurses represents a response rate of 90 percent. Data for this study was collected from August to September in 2000 by questionnaire. Path analyses with LISREL program were used to test the fit of the proposed model to the data and to examine the causal relationships among variables. Result : Both the proposed model and the modified model fit the data adequately. The model revealed relatively high explanatory power. 52% of human development culture was explained by predicted variables and 44% of task development was explained by predicted variables; 47% of the organizational commitment was explained by predicted variables. In predicting developmental (both human and task) nursing unit culture, the findings of this study clearly demonstrated that head nurses' consideration oriented leadership might be the most important variable. The result also showed that head nurses' consideration oriented leadership might be the most important variable among the predicted variables in predicting organizational commitment. Conclusion : Based on the findings of this study, it was suggested that various studies, for example, matching leadership and nursing unit culture, were needed.

Relationship between Organizational Size and Performance in Public Management : Mediating Effect of Organizational Goal Ambiguity

  • This study is to corroborate the relationship between organizational size and performance in the Korean government context. Hence, this study aims to advance research on the relationship between organization size and performance by considering mediating variable: organizational goal ambiguity, which helps understand how organizational size affects organizational goal ambiguity in government and the organizational goal ambiguity has an influence on organizational performance. Bases on theoretical review, we assume that there is the inverted U-shaped relationship between the number of employees and budget size and organizational performance. From the results of path analysis, it shows that organizational size in the Korean government has a negative correlation, "a linear relationship", with organizational performance. Budget size has mediating variables, but the number of employees not. We try to suggest implications on the relationship between organizational size and performance in terms of theoretical perspectives in the context of the Korean government.

  • Purpose: Targeting the members of manufacturing and Service industry Quality Control team this study is going is to carry out research about whether the outcome of OCB(Organizational Citizenship Behaviors) and organization can be brought about by organizational culture that is suitable for them. this study tries to identify the direct・indirect causal relationship between these variables and OCB by selecting organizational culture as a leading variable and job satisfaction as a parameter. Methods: SPSS 22.0 was used for data analysis and AMOS 18.0 statistical program for structural equation model analysis. For the descriptive statistics this study verified reliability analysis, feasibility analysis, structural equation model analysis, research hypothesis, and mediating effects. Results: As a result of path analysis estimating the regression coefficients for the linear structure analysis of the correlations between variables for the hypothesis verification, the rational culture among the organizational culture types of the manufacturing Quality Control team showed a positive (+) effect on the job satisfaction, and hierarchical culture has negative(-) effect on job satisfaction. Conclusion: This study suggested that the composition and friendly behavior of desirable organizational culture has a very close relationship in connection between job satisfaction and OCB by examining the causal relationship between OCB for improvement activities for organizational culture by establishing the organizational culture and job satisfaction of the manufacturing Quality Control team.

The Meaningful Association Between Employee Workplace Stress and the Type of Organizational Culture

  • Purpose: The present study investigates if the type of organizational culture influences the level of job-related stress. This study is significant because creating the need to explore the concept to become more informed on the best practices to promote and foster a positive culture that prioritizes workers, it could result in a healthier workforce, improved organizational performance, and success. Research design, data and methodology: Examining previous studies by other researchers was the primary research tool for this study. The organized approach of gathering data and assessing related work was vital in developing a fundamental basis for advancing knowledge on this concept while enhancing theory development and drawing more informed conclusion. Results: These four types, including the clan, adhocracy, hierarchical, and market cultures, contribute significantly in revealing four associations between the two variables, including (i) supportive culture and reduced stress, (ii) high pressure and increased stress, (iii)autonomous culture and variable stress levels, and (iv) open culture and low-stress levels. Conclusions: The literature affirms a multifaceted link between employee workplace stress and organizational culture type. The findings show that these cultures are crucial in influencing the level of stress among employees. All four types were hypothesized to have a significant relationship with job stress.

  • The purpose of this Study is to present the tasks and means of improving the operational system of public culture and arts institutes in the future on the basis of the analysis of the effectiveness of operation of public culture and arts institutes. The summary of the results of analysis in this Study is as follows: Firstly, it was found that the factor variables that impart effect on the operation of public culture and arts institutes included (1) artistic value, (2) convenience and (3) organizational management, while the performance variable of public culture and arts institutes was (4) operational performance. Secondly, in the analysis of the structure that explains the operational effects of public culture and arts institutes, convenience and organizational management were found to impart effects on the operational performances. However, artistic value was found to have no effect on operational performances. Therefore, these results of analysis imply that organizational management and convenience, rather than artistic value, need to be fortified in order to elevate the operational performances of public culture and arts institutes.

How Total Quality Management Mediates Antecedent Variables of Employee Performance?

  • The research objective was to find out how Total Quality Management (TQM) mediates antecedents of employee performance variables? The research was conducted with a quantitative approach while the research design was cross sectional. The research model was tested using the structural equation modeling approach with partial least square analysis tools to test the influence among research variables. The research sample consisted of 315 respondents who answered a questionnaire in August-September 2019 at manufacturing companies in East Java. The results showed that situational leadership did not affect employee performance, but did affect the successful implementation of TQM. The performance measurement system has no direct effect on employee performance. The performance measurement system has a direct effect on employee performance. Organizational culture has a direct effect on both employee performance and the application of TQM, so that the application of TQM can improve employee performance. TQM implementation variable acts as a mediation between situational leadership and organizational culture on employee performance. The relationship that was originally a direct influence turned into an indirect effect through TQM. The TQM variable is not proven to be an intervening variable between the performance measurement system and employee performance. There is a direct relationship between these two variables.

  • This research has analyzed the differentiated influence of organizational variables(an organization's learning culture and organizational support networks) and personal variables(the individual's motivation to learn and self-efficacy) on the process of gaining and using of knowledge. These two variables have been regarded as the major variables for the successful learning of 6Sigma, according to Social Cognitive Theory. In addition, this research has proven the role structure of the abovementioned two variables through a suitable methodology(Hierarchical Linear Model). In regard to this methodology, the different hierarchical level of the personal variable and organizational variable was especially focused on, and the effect of interaction between the high level and the low level was considered in detail. Considering the current situation, in that the importance of organizational factor and personal factor has been emphasized but the accurate role of each variable has not been verified, the research model is thought to help to establish an effective strategy to implement 6 Sigma.

  • Previous findings on Organizational Citizenship Behaviors is a useful index for effectiveness of the organization. Also, it is a factor that explains the relation between its member's attitude and behavior as organizational commitment had been stabilized. Since autonomy and rapidity has become more important in increasing the efficiency of the organization, this means Organizational Citizenship Behaviors has become important in it. Organizational Citizenship Behaviors of the members occurs only when discretion and autonomy are given to its members. Therefore, this study aimed at measuring the effects of police officer's personal dispositions on organizational citizenship behaviors, exploring the moderation effect of organization culture, and providing the basis with implications to promote the Organizational Citizenship Behaviors in the police Organization. By reviewing previous finding, Police Officer's Personal Dispositions were selected as independent variables, Organizational Citizenship Behaviors was selected as dependent variable. and Organizational Culture was selected as moderation variable. The result of analysis showed that The belief & The Norm influenced in Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(positive), and The Value in Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(negative).   • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the types of nursing organizational culture and its relationships with nurses' satisfaction with life, and job satisfaction. This study was eventually aimed to create healthier and more positive nursing organizational culture. Methods: This study utilized a descriptive correlational method to explore mediating effects of the types of nursing organizational culture on nurses' satisfaction with life and their job. Data were collected from a total of 1,801 nurses who have worked for more than 3 years in 35 different hospitals with more than 100 beds. Using SPSS 17.0 and Sobel Test Calculator, t-test, one way ANOVA, Duncan test, multiple regression and sobel test were used for data analysis. Results: The analysis showed that the nurses had a hierarchical organizational culture. Also the subjects' job satisfaction was significantly correlated with innovation, relation, and hierarchy-oriented factors and satisfaction with life. Conclusion: Innovative organizational culture is a leading factor in determining nurses' professional satisfaction. In view of the above it is recommended that strategies for creating innovative organizational culture and its application to nursing practice.
