On the Effect of Dispersed Leadership of Vocational Training Teachers on Job Satisfaction Through Organization Citizenship Behavior and Teacher Empowerment (직업능력개발훈련교사의 분산적 지도성이 직무만족에 미치는 영향 - 조직시민행동과 교사 임파워먼트의 매개효과 -)

  • The goal of this research is to empirically examine how vocational skill development teachers' distributed leadership influences on job satisfaction, through organizational citizenship behavior and teacher empowerment. A nation-wide survey was conducted among vocational skills development teachers, the unemployed and teachers who have used a government-subsidized education card. First, the study revealed that vision has no significant influence on organizational citizenship behavior and teacher empowerment. Second, leader-plus has a significant influence on organizational citizenship behavior and teacher empowerment. Third, situation has no significant influence on organizational citizenship behavior and teacher empowerment. Fourth, organizational culture has a significant influence on organizational citizenship behavior and teacher empowerment. Fifth, a significant influence was found between teacher empowerment and organizational citizenship behavior. Lastly, organizational citizenship behavior and teacher empowerment has a significant influence on job satisfaction.

The Effects of Employees' Person-Environment Fit in the Foodservice Industry on Organization Citizenship Behavior, Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intent

  • The purpose of this study is to assess the associations among person-environment fit, organizational citizenship behavior, organizational commitment and turnover intent in the foodservice industry. The study was administered to 306 Korean employees. The results indicated a positive relationship between person-environment fit, employees' organizational citizenship behavior and organizational commitment. However, person-environment fit did not have a significant, direct impact on their turnover intent. Thus, this study found an indirect influence via organizational citizenship behavior and organizational commitment. In addition, organizational citizenship behavior and organizational commitment were negatively associated with employees' intention to leave the organization. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

  • The Purpose of this study was to find the effect of Hotel employees transformational leadership and transactional leadership on member's organizational commitment and organization citizenship behavior. Survey was carried out among employees at deluxe hotels located in Busan region. Spsswin 12.0 and Amos 5.0 statistical package were used for further analysis. The conclusions were as follows: Firstly, transformational leadership had directly positive effect on organizational commitment and organization citizenship behavior. Secondly, transactional leadership had directly positive effect on organizational commitment and negative effect on organization citizenship behavior. Thirdly, organizational commitment had directly positive effect on organization citizenship behavior. Finally, The practical implications of the findings and suggestions for future research were discussed.

  • In line with network technology development and smart device penetration, the social network service (SNS) has expanded its influence. The SNS which is a service based on communication and sharing among people, has grown based on users' voluntary engagement and participation and its influence has appeared beyond the cyberspace into the overall areas of domestic and foreign culture and society. In particular, SNS-based real-time communication during diverse disasters, can help prevent further damage. By sharing information on social donation activities and environmental campaigns, people have used SNS as a tool to change the society in a more positive way. Such series of activities functioning as a power to change the society have been made much faster and wider through the help of a new media called SNS. To better understand such trends, we are required to study about the SNS and its user relationships first. In this context, this study sought to identify the effects of people's desire to build friendships through SNS on the voluntary and society-friendly activities of people. This study considers online pro-social behavior and proposes online citizenship behavior. Citizenship behavior has been examined in organization context. That is, organizational citizenship behavior explains an employee's pro-social behavior in an organization context. Organizational citizenship behavior is characterized by the individual's helping others and promoting the functioning of the organization. By applying organizational citizenship behavior to an online context, we propose online citizenship behavior, an individual's pro-social behavior in an online context. An individual's pro-social behavior, i.e., online citizenship behavior, could be considered as a way for the better management of online community and society. It also needs to examine the development of online citizenship behavior. This study examined online citizenship behavior from the friendship desire. Because online society or community is characterized by online relationships between members, the friendship between members would lead to pro-social behavior, i.e., helping others and promoting the functioning of the online society, in such online context. This study further examines the antecedents of friendship desire in terms of SNS interactivity with its four factors. The findings based on the survey from real SNS users explain that the three factors of SNS interactivity (connectivity, enjoyment, and synchronicity) increases online friendship desire which then increases online citizenship behavior significantly. This study contributes to the literature by examining the key role of online friendship desire in leading to online citizenship behavior and identifying its antecedents in terms of SNS characteristics. The findings in this study also provide guidance on how to manage online society and how to promote the effective functioning of SNS.

Does Perceived Organizational Politics Mediate the Relationship between Job Satisfaction and Organizational Citizenship Behavior? Insights from Bangladesh

  • Purpose: This study mainly aims to investigate the connection between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior of bank employee. Another objective of this study is to check out the mediating impact of perceived organizational politics of bank personnel on the connection between their job happiness and citizenship behavior. Research design, data and methodology: Snowball sampling is utilized in this study, which is done among bank personnel at different public and private banks across north-eastern region of Bangladesh as well as information is accumulated through the use of a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire. IBM SPSS v22, Andrew F. Hayes process macro v3.5 and SmartPLS 3 are used to complete descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The study results explore that employees' political perception has a negative influence on organizational citizenship behavior where bank employees' job happiness has a positive impact on structural citizenship manners and negative impact on perceived organizational politics. Surprisingly, perceptions of organizational politics were found to have an insignificant mediating effect on the connection between job satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusions: The present study reveals that satisfied bank personnel shows positive and constructive actions toward their organization where their political perception has an insignificant mediation.

  • This study analyzed on the effect worker's organizational citizenship behaviors of vision sharing and values congruence in social welfare organization. Analysis results are as follows: the higher the degree of a certificate of qualification of social welfare organization's worker and the position of organization have on active organizational citizenship behavior in social welfare organization. Most social welfare organization don't effort for vision sharing and values congruence in organization. Vision sharing and values congruence in social welfare organization result in actively organizational citizenship behaviors. Social welfare organization's purpose are to solve the social problem in communities. Therefore, the administrator of social welfare organization strive to share the vision of the organization with worker, and should pay more effort in the selection process for selecting the worker that matches with organization's value.

  • This study aims to explore the effect of a librarian's organizational commitment and Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on organizational effectiveness in libraries. The following conclusions were drawn from the research procedures and data analysis. First, the librarian's organizational commitment make no difference by age level. The librarian's organizational commitment makes no difference by career. The librarian's organizational commitment and organization citizenship behavior make no difference by employment status. Second, the highest correlation is maintain commitment factor and all of the commitment. The second high correlation is sportsmanship behavior factor and all of the organization citizenship behavior. The third high correlation is conscientiousness behavior factor and all of the organization citizenship behavior. Third, the organizational effectiveness is affected 13.4% by a librarian's organization citizenship behavior, 5.6% by librarian's organizational commitment.

  • The purpose of the research was to investigate the effects of the learning organization building activities on organization citizenship behavior(OCB) in business service companies providing the convergence service for the manufacturers and the moderating role of perceived organization support(POS) between the learning organization building activities and organization citizenship behavior. The data were collected from 327 employees of 31 business Service companies in metropolitan area by using structured questionnaires. Hierarchical regression technique was employed to analyze the collected data. The results showed that both of the seven learning organization building activities and POS had a positive effect on employees' OCB. Moreover, also found out the only one out of the seven learning organization building factors, namely 'Strategic Learning Leadership' had the moderate roles between learning organization building activities and OCB. Then, The results and implications of the study were discussed and the directions for future study were presented.

  • Purpose: This study aims to secure basic data required to enhance the organizational efficiency as increasing the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses through identifying the influence of leader-member exchange and organizational commitment en organizational citizenship behaviors in nursing organization. Method: The subjects of this study were 352 nurses. Data was collected using structured questionnaires for 15 days from 10 to 24 April 2003. Result: According to the analysis on the influence of leader-member exchange, organizational commitment and general characteristics on organizational citizenship behaviors, the organizational commitment, leader-member exchange and tenure of office had significant influences, as 23.0%, 30.2% and 31.3%, respectively. Conclusion: It is required to increase the organizational commitment and to enhance leader-member exchanges for the purpose of inducing the organizational citizenship behaviors. Furthermore, it is also necessary to develop the strategies through development of medical environment and clinical carrier experiences for self-development of member based en long-term tenure of nursing organization

  • This study aims to understand the relation between the perceived social exchange of employees in service industry, which is focused on food service industry, and the organizational citizenship behavior, and to consider the efficiency of human resources management in service industry. To achieve the purpose of this study, a documentary study and an empirical study based on a structural equation model analysis were carried out. In this study, the social exchange consist of perceived leader support, perceived coworker support, and perceived organization support. Also the organizational citizenship behavior consist of organizational citizenship behavior for individual and organizational citizenship behavior for organization. And then, the relation between the variables was found out. Finally, based upon the results of analysis, this study was suggested for human resources management in service industry.
