This paper is concerned with the limiting zeros, as the sampling period tends to zero, of a multivariable discrete-time system composed of an approximate fractional-order hold (AFROH), a continuous-time plant and a sampler in cascade. An approximate fractional-order hold is proposed to implement fractional-order hold (FROH) and is applied to instead of the zero-order hold (ZOH). The implementing problem of the fractional-order hold is overcome. The properties of the limiting zeros are studied and the location problem of them is solved. This paper deals with planning of order-picking warehouse considering the batch order picking for transportation equipments to pick consumers' orders at a time among order-picking methods and a systematic approach method in order to analyze the order-picking warehouse which can perform optimal operation. To estimate an operating time of transportation equipments to carry out order-picking, this paper suggests three operations : first, to design the refrigerated warehouse using warehouse design parameters, second, to calculate the travel time of transporters considering four types of times with the probabilistic picking frequency, and third, to analyze an order-picking warehouse to construct a simulation model with the AutoMod as a simulation tool. We apply this model to a refrigerated warehouse company in Busan.

As the transaction using mail order sales mediating sites such as Auction rapidly increase, consumer damages are also increasing. Therefore, in this study, the methods to remedy consumer damages occurring from transactions through mail order sales mediating sites such as the Payment Deposit System, the systems to resolve disputes without any litigation and the systems in relation to the Consumer Basic Act have been examined and measures to improve the systems have been groped. For the transactions using mail order sales intermediating sites, it is necessary to impose more responsibility on mail order sales mediators although the responsibility may not be required to be at the level of mail order sellers such as internet shopping malls. Therefore, institutional supports are necessary to effectively protect consumers in the transactions using mail order sales mediating sites and to induce damaged consumers to actively file claims for compensations. In relation to this, the Collective Dispute Mediation System and the Consumer Group Litigation System under the Consumer Basic Act may become good examples. The consumers who have been subject to the same or similar damages in the transactions using mail order sales mediating sites should also be allowed to participate in the Collective Dispute Mediation under the Consumer Basic Act or actively utilize the Consumer Group Litigation System. Also, it is desirable to reflect these systems on 'the Act on Consumer Protection in E-Commerce etc' so that these systems can also be directly applied to the transactions using mail order sales mediating sites.

The purpose of this study is to suggest successful strategies through which the effect of the information system of a hospital can be forecasted at the nursing department. In order to set up successful strategies, in the first place, both the methods of CSF(Critical Success Factor: Rockart, 1979) and ULD(User-Led Development) method and the method suggested by the Korea Productivity Center were applied. In order to measure the improvement of nursing productivity, the Dissonance theory was used. The data were collected from 100 employees serving at the clinic department of Kwangju Patriots' and Veterans' Hospital from July 4 to July 25, 1998 with reference to all 222 cases, for sampling work; then the part of the efficiency of the treatment or management of hospital business - simplification of the process of the treatment of hospital business and reduction of the time of the treatment of hospital business were measured; and in order to forecast organizational behavior, 100 cases of organization behavior were analysed, based on the well structured, questionnaires. In order to forecast the user's organizational behavior, a tool(Ronald. 1988; Stephen, 1982: Senn, 1992: Olsen, 1980: Anderson, 1988: Kim. 1992: Cho. 1994) to measure the extent or degree of the user's recognition or understanding whose reliability coefficient is 0.63 was used: and regarding the items expected by the users concerning the convenience of the system, a tool created by Bernadett, Szajna and Richard W. Scamell(1993) whose reliability coefficient is 0.88 was used. And finally, those data were analysed, utilizing the statistical package of SPSS/PC 6.0. successful strategies are suggested as follows: 1. In order that the Kwangju Patriots' and Veterans' Hospital's purpose can be successful through its strategic, information system, the quality of its services should be elevated. and for elevating the quality of medical services, elevation of the quality of medical expertism or specialty is an important factor in determining such quality. 2. In order to make the hospital information system to be successful, the hospital's top manager should participate in the effort making it successful with helping hands of the members or personnel of the hospital. 3. In order to make users participate in the hospital information system, it is prerequisite that all nurses in a hospital should voluntarily participate in the system 4. In order to reduce the expense, the time in coping with business per duty should be reduced by 10${\sim}$33.23%. The time of the direct nursing care which added value is relatively high should be elongated in order to elevate the quality of hospital services. 5. Since the introduction and spread of the hospital information system are influenced by the duration in the experience of computer use, the user of the hospital information system should have a plan to receive well-planned computer education. Finally it is suggested that the forecast of long-term productivity through a review of the user's expectation of the system should be inspected and tested through continuous studies of its effectiveness.

As SOC (Social Overhead Capital) has been expanded, the highway road construction has been accelerated and city road system has been more complicated. So, long road tunnels have been increased and traffic flow rate also has been raised. Accordingly, the exhausting gas of vehicle cars seriously deteriorates the tunnel inside air quality and driving view. In order to improve tunnel inside air quality, we may need to introduce a compulsory ventilation system as well as natural ventilation mechanism. The natural ventilation mechanism is enough for short tunnels, meanwhile longer tunnels require a specific compulsory ventilation facility. Many foreign countries already have been devoting on development of effective tunnel ventilation system and especially, some European nations and Japan have already applied their developed tunnel ventilation system for longer road tunnels. More recently, as the quality of life improved, our concerns about safety of driving and better driving environment have been increased. In order to obtain clearer and longer driving view, we are more interested in EP tunnel ventilation system in order to remove floating contaminants and automobile exhaust gas. Evan though it's been a long time since many European countries and Japan applied more economical and environment-friendly tunnel ventilation system with their self-developed Electrostatic Precipitator, we are still dependant on imported system from foreign nations. Therefore, we need to develop our unique technical know-how for optimum design tools through validity investigation and continuous possibility examination, eventually in order to localize the tunnel ventilation system technology. In this project, we will manufacture test-run products to examine the performance of system in order to develop main parts of tunnel ventilation system such as electrostatic precipitator, high voltage power generator, water treatment system, etc.

This paper analyzes the multi-item order-level system with shortages allowance and storage limitation. Up to now, we have used the classical optimization theory to analyze this system. But the theory is generally not suitable for computational purposes. Therefore, this paper designes a new method to be able to apply the quadratic programming to the multi-item order-level system with storage limitation. A numerical example is also presented.

Consider a linear fourth-order system with no zero that is represented in terms of four specific parameters: two damping ratios and two natural frequencies. We investigate several interesting questions about the maximum overshoot of the system with respect to the four-tuple parameters. Some remarkable results are presented.

This paper refer to the trade-off between delivery frequency and amount between supplier and discountstores. Discountstores prefer frequent delivery of small amount because of limited storage space, while suppliers prefer less frequent delivery of large amount in order to save transportation cost In this paper we propose a heuristic algorithm to determine the amount of order and the delivery frequency which decreases the expected length of stockout. We also evaluate various order policies for vendor managed inventory system using simulation with real data.

A design of a four-mirror optical system for submicron lithography using KrF excimer laser beam(λ=248nm) is presented. By using the third order aberration theory, analytic solutions for a telecentric, flat-field, and anastigmatic four-spherical-mirror system (reduction magnification 5$\times$) are found. Aspherization is carried out to the spherical mirror surfaces in order to reduce the residual higher order aberrations and vignetting effect. Finally we obtain a reflection system useful in submicron lithographic application.

We suggest BOP (Bill of Process) in which aggregated information is used When the load p1anning problem is solved while more detailed information is used when the scheduling problem is solved.
