CANDU 사용후핵연료 처분 착수 시점에 관한 소고 (Some notes on the Timing of Geological Disposal of CANDU Spent Fuels)

  • CANDU 사용후핵연료는 핵분열성 핵종의 농도가 비교적 낮아 장기적인 관리 방법으로서 재활용보다는 직접 처분을 고려하고 있으나 처분 부지 확보가 어려워 중간저장 정책이 단기적으로 고려되고 있다. 이와 관련하여 중간저장시설의 운영기간과 최적의 처분 착수시기에 대한 검토가 필요하다. 처분시점의 결정 요인으로는 크게 안전성, 경제성, 수용성을 설정하였다. 안전성은 크게 붕괴열과 핵비확산성 측면에서, 경제성은 각 시설의 관리비용 측면에서, 수용성은 회수성 개념 및 세대 간 책임 윤리 측면으로 나누어 검토하였다. 본 논문에서는 처분시점 결정 요인 분석 결과를 바탕으로 3가지 대안을 비교하고 최적 안을 제시하였다. 중요한 핵심 내용으로는 기술적 측면과 안전성 측면에서는 처분 시점이 빠를수록 좋다는 것과, 최적 CANDU 사용후핵연료 처분시점으로서 2041년 경을 제안하였다.

제주도 자생 참억새의 종자발아에 관한 연구 (Studies on Seed Germination of Miscanthus sinensis Native to Jeju Island)

  • The study was conducted to find out the harvesting time, storage duration, cold treatment and sterilization on seed germination of Miscanthus sinensis. The optimum harvesting time of the Miscanthus seed in native to Jeju island was December. And the seed germination passible 3 years after harvesting. When the seeds had cold treatment, seed germination nate was 74% rather than 63% of non-treatment. For seed sterilization treatment, soaking in solution of Benomyl 7% during from 3 hours to 12 hours germinated 9% over. But the non-treatment on 24 hours treatment reduced the seed germination of Miscanthus sinensis.

키토산 섬유를 담체로 이용한 라이소자임 효소의 고정화 (Immobilization of Lysozyme from Hen Egg by Crosslinking Method onto Chitosan Non-woven)

  • Immobilization of lysozyme on chitosan non-woven using glutaraldehyde(GA) was investigated. For this, 100 % chitosan non-woven was prepared as novel support for the enzyme immobilization. In addition, free lysozyme activity was examined depending on various pH and temperature by measuring time. Moreover, the optimum immobilization conditions depending on various pH, temperature, immobilization time and lysozyme concentration was evaluated. In addition, thermal stability and storage stability of immobilized lysozyme were measured. The characteristics of immobilized lysozyme was examined by FT-IR, surface morphology, and MTT assay. The results are follows: the optimal immobilization of lysozyme were pH 7.0, $25^{\circ}C$, lysozyme concentration 1.5 mg/ml, immobilization time 240 min. The immobilized lysozyme showed higher thermal stability than the free trypsin. The immobilized lysozyme activity was retained 80 % of its initial activity at $4^{\circ}C$ over 30 days of storage. The lysozyme was immobilized effectively on chitosan non-woven by observation of surface morphology.

  • This study was undertaken to investigate the effect of cereals on the physicochemical and sensory characteristics of Noti. Noti is one of Korean traditional pan-fried glutinous cereal cakes. Noti made from the steamed glutinous rice flour, glutinous Chinese millet flour, glutinous millet flour or glutinous Indian millet flour is saccharified with malt, and then pan-fried. Noti also has sweet taste without sugar added. In addition, Noti has elastic characteristic, high calorie and good flavor. Long storage makes it better taste. In this case, Noti was made from the steamed glutinous rice flour. By the sensory evaluation, color, flavor and moistness were unfavorable according to the storage. Consistency was not strongly increased when comparing with the common rice cake depending upon the storage. The texture tended to increase by storage period. Optimum conditions of the safe storage and overall acceptability were to add 15% malt and keep 6hr saccharification time at 60$^{\circ}C$. During the period of storage for 90 days, reducing sugar content was similar, moisture content was low and maintained, and the acid value was not increased abruptly. The hardness was not increased rapidly and fungal growth was considerably low. Cohesiveness and elasticity were increased during storage.

활성글루텐 첨가 쌀 식빵 프리믹스의 저장 중 품질 특성 (Effect of Storage on Physicochemical and Bread-making Properties of Bread Premix Prepared from Rice Flour Containing Vital Gluten)

  • 활성글루텐이 첨가된 쌀 식빵 프리믹스를 5, 25, $35^{\circ}C$의 저장온도에서 4개월 동안 저장하면서 이화학적, 반죽특성, 호화특성 및 제빵특성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 조사하였다. 쌀 식빵 제조 시 활성글루텐의 적정 첨가량은 14-17%로 판단되었다. 쌀 식빵 프리믹스의 pH, 침전가 및 Pelshenke값은 저장기간이 증가함에 따라서 감소하는 경향을 보였으며, 특히 Pelshenke 값은 35$^{\circ}C$ 저장시에 그 수치가 현저히 감소하였다. 쌀 식빵 프리믹스의 수분 함량은 변화가 적었으나, 보수력과 알칼리수 흡수율은 저장온도가 상승함에 따라서 증가하는 경향을 보였다. Mixograph의 peak time과 width at 8.00 min은 저장온도가 상승함에 따라서 유의적으로 증가하는 현상을 보였다. Rapid Visco Analyser에 의한 호화 특성 중 peak viscosity와 setback은 저장 온도가 상승함에 따라서 다소 증가하는 현상을 보였으며, 저장기간이 길어짐으로써 유의적으로 증가하였다. 프리믹스로 제조한 쌀 식빵의 비용적은 저장전에 비해 저장 중 온도가 높아짐에 따라서 그 감소 폭이 컸으며, 쌀 식빵의 경도는 증가하여 쌀가루 전분의 노화가 밀가루에 비해 보다 빠른 속도로 진행되는 것으로 나타났다.

수분 첨가량을 달리한 백복령 가루 첨가 절편의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Jeolpyun Containing Baekbokryung (White Poria cocos Wolf) Powder Based on Water Content)

  • The purpose of this study was to acquire basic data on Jeolpyun added with Baekbokryung powder to aid the product's commercial production. Initially a sensory test was performed with consumers to the identify preferred amount of Baekbokryung powder to add according to age. The results revealed that those in their 20's to 40's preferred the 3% treatment, while those 50 and older preferred the 5% treatment. Next, the optimum water content of Jeolpyun was chosen by examining select quality characteristics in samples containing 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40% water while the amounts of added Baekbokryung powder were fixed at 3% and 5%, respectively, as based on the sensory panel results. For the color characteristics of the samples, lightness(L), redness(a) and yellowness(b) values increased in proportion to the added amount of water regardless of the Baekbokryung level. However, the ${\Delta}E$ values of the samples increased with storage time along with the darkening of their surfaces. The samples with high moisture contents, such as the 35 and 40% treatments, maintained a relatively softer texture during 24 hr of storage as compared to the other samples. Also noted was an initial slow increase in hardness up to 12 hr of storage, and then accelerated hardening until 24 hours of storage. Throughout the storage period, th 30% treatment received low scores: the 40% treatment was especially disliked in terms of mashing of the product due to the excess water. Overall, for a soft and moderately chewy product, the optimum Baekbokryung powder and moisture level for Jeolpyuns were suggested as 3 to 5% ranges and 35% respectively. Ultimately, the results of this research will contribute to the possible commercialization of a Jeolpyuns product that contains added Baekbokryung.

백설기 제조에서 찌는 압력과 시간 및 저장 기간에 따른 품질 특성 (Effect of Steaming Pressure and Time and Storage Period on Quality Characteristics of Baeksulgi)

  • 백설기의 최적 배합비(쌀가루 100%, 수분 60%, 소금 1.5%, 설탕 15%)를 선정하여 찌는 압력(0.5, 1.0, 1.5 bar)과 찌는 시란(5, 10, 15분)을 달리하여 시료를 제조 후 저장기간(0, 4, 8, 12, 24시간)에 따른 백설기의 굳기변화와 굳기속도 및 관능적 특성의 결과를 살펴보았다. 굳기는 저장기간 0시간에서 8시간은 완만하게 증가하였지만 12시간 이후에는 급격하게 증가하는 경향을 나타내었지만 찌는 압력이 1.0 bar에서 10, 15분간 편 시료는 12시간 이후에도 완만하게 증가하였다. 한편 굳기속도상수는 찌는 시간 $8{\sim}10$분과 찌는 압력 $0.8{\sim}1.0bar$에서 상대적으로 낮은 $0.175{\sim}0.184hr^{-1}$의 값을 보여 최적 조건으로 판단되었다. 찌는 압력과 시간 및 저장기간이 증가할수록 견고성과 탄성은 증가하는 경향을 보였지만 응집성은 찌는 압력과 저장기간이 증가할 수록 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 전체적인 기호도는 찌는 압력 1.0 bar, 찌는 시간 10분에서 저장기간 12시간일 때 가장 높은 값을 보였다. 결론적으로 백설기의 저장기간과 함께 제조공정변수인 찌는 압력과 시간에 따라 굳기 및 굳기속도와 관능적 품질특성이 변화하였다.

OPTIMUM STORAGE REALLOCATION AND GATE OPERATION IN MULTIPURPOSE RESERVOIRS

  • This research is intended to integrate long-term operation rules and real time operation policy for conservation & flood control in a reservoir. The familiar Yield model has been modified and used to provide long-term rule curves. The model employs linear programming technique under given physical conditions, i.e., total capacity, dead storage, spillways, outlet capacity and their respective elevations to find required and desired minimum storage fur different demands. To investigate the system behavior resulting from the above-mentioned operating policy, i.e., the rule curves, the simulation model was used. Results of the simulation model show that the results of the optimization model are indeed valid. After confirmation of the above mentioned rule curves by the simulation models, gate operation procedure was merged with the long term operation rules to determine the optimum reservoir operating policy. In the gate operation procedure, operating policy in downstream flood plain, i.e., determination of damaging and non-damaging discharges in flood plain, peak floods, which could be routed by reservoir, are determined. Also outflow hydrograph and variations of water surface levels for two known hydrographs are determined. To examine efficiency of the above-mentioned models and their ability in determining the optimum operation policy, Esteghlal reservoir in Iran was analyzed as a case study. A numerical model fur the solution of two-dimensional dam break problems using fractional step method is developed on unstructured grid. The model is based on second-order Weighted Averaged Flux(WAF) scheme with HLLC approximate Riemann solver. To control the nonphysical oscillations associated with second-order accuracy, TVD scheme with SUPERBEE limiter is used. The developed model is verified by comparing the computational solutions with analytic solutions in idealized test cases. Very good agreements have been achieved in the verifications.

네리네 대량증식을 위한 자구 저장 및 순화재배 (Condition of Storage and Growth Characteristics on Bulb Propagation of Nerine by Tissue Culture)

  • Nerine 대량증식을 위한 자구 저장 및 순화재배 조건 등에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 저장온도와 기간별 자구 무게 참모율은 저온보다 고온에서 증가하였다. 따라서 조직배양 자구의 적정 저장온도와 기간은 86.4%의 출현율을 보이는 $15^{\circ}C$에서 12주가 적절하였다. 또한 기내 생산 자구의 적정토양순화 시기는 휴면타파온도인 $22^{\circ}C$이상 유지가 가능한 6월 상순이 적절하였다. 순화 재배시 효율성 향상을 위한 적정 광원은 적색과 청색의 혼합파장에서 네리네 생육과 광합성 능력이 우수하였다.

R141b 포접화합물을 이용한 축냉시스템의 성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Performance of Cool Storage System using R141b Clathrate)

  • Experiments have carried out to investigate the effects of parameters, such as mass ratio of R141b-to-water, stirrer speed, brine inlet temperature, brine flowrate, and additives, on the performance of the cool storage system using R141b clathrate. The cool storage system in this experiment was composed of storage tank, refrigerator, and heater. The results show that the mass ratio of R141b-to-water, 1 : 3~1 : 3.5 gives the best performance and the stirring speed has optimum point as 600rpm. At this speed impeller Reynolds number is $1.01{\times}10^5$. The lower the inlet brine temperature and the highter the brine flowrate, the better performance. The addition of metal powder turned out to reduce the degree of supercooling. The supercooling reduction was proportional to the amount of the metal power. However when metal powder was added more than 0.1 wt%, there was no additional supercooling reduction. The surfactants shortened the time consumed for cool storage to the half of no surfactant added case.
