해양심층수와 표층수의 혼합비율에 따른 식물플랑크톤의 증식 변화에 대한 기초연구 (A Preliminary Study comparing the Growth of Phytoplankton according to the Ratio of Deep and Surface Seawater)

  • The artificial upwelling of deep seawater increases primary production. This study conducted a lab-scale experiment to investigate the growth of phytoplankton with the mixing ratio of deep and surface seawater. The chlorophyll content in the sample of pure deep seawater was highest, regardless of the phytoplankton groups. Nutrients contained in the deep seawater positively influenced the growth of phytoplankton. The optimum mixture to apply in an artificial upwelling system was a 1:1 ratio of deep and surface seawater. An experiment considering other environmental conditions, such as luminance and specific gravity, should be performed.

  • 대두(大豆) 단백질에의 함유황(含硫黃) 아미노산 강화원(强化源)으로서 유청(乳淸)단백질을 사용하기 위한 목적으로 유청과 두유(豆乳)의 혼합물로부터 응고물을 만들고 유청(乳淸) 및 대두(大豆) 단백질의 공동침전 최적조건과 특성을 조사하였다. 유청과 두유는 1:1 부피비로 혼합한 다음 응고제인 $CaCl_2$의 농도를 $0.005{\sim}0.5M$, pH$1.5{\sim}8.0$, 온도를 $60{\sim}100^{\circ}C$로 조정하여 응고시키고 이 때 얻어지는 커드 여액(濾液)의 흡광도가 가장 낮은 조건을 결정하였다. 공동침전 최적조건은 여액의 흡광도가 낮고 그 때 얻어지는 커드의 조직감이 좋은 때로 하였다. 공동침전 최적조건은 $CaCl_2$농도 0.0125M, pH$6.5{\sim}7.5$, 온도 $70{\sim}80^{\circ}C$로 나타났다.

저염 우렁쉥이 젓갈의 가공 및 품질특성 (Processing and Quality Characteristics of Low-salt Fermented Ascidian Halocynthia roretzi)

  • This study examined the development of a low-salt fermented seafood product using an ascidian (Halocynthia roretzi), and the optimum processing conditions and quality characteristics of the low-salt fermented ascidian (LSA). The optimum processing conditions for the LSA were as follows. The ascidian was shelled and its muscle sliced into 5 mm widths. This was soaked in a 10% salt and 1% sodium erythorbate solution for 20 min. The solution was drained and then the muscle was soaked in 0.1% sodium bisulfite solution for 1 min. To this was added a 1:1 mixture of anchovy sauce and rice gruel, and it was fermented at $5^{\circ}C$ for 15 days. The moisture content and salinity of the LSA were 75.0-75.4% and 8.0-8.5%, respectively. During salt-fermentation at $5^{\circ}C$ for 20 days, the amino-N content of the LSA increased, and the texture softened gradually. The viable cell counts in early salt-fermentation were $4.2-4.5{\times}10^4CFU/g$, and this decreased gradually. The ratio of saturated fatty acids tended to increase in early salt-fermentation, while that of polyunsaturated fatty acids decreased slightly. Chemical experiments and sensory evaluation showed that the dipping treatment in 1% sodium erythorbate solution and 0.1% sodium bisulfite solution resulted in a good color and prevented browning of the salt-fermented ascidian meat. Moreover, adding anchovy sauce and rice gruel mixture improved the flavor of the LSA.

다시마 Single Cell Detritus(SCD)를 첨가한 국수의 최적화 가공조건 (Optimum Process Condition of Noodles with Sea Tangle Single Cell Detritus (SCD))

  • 다시마를 Vibrio sp.로 분해하여 제조한 SCD를 modified distance design의 최적 배합 비율에 따라 기능성 국수를 제조하였다. 밀가루의 함량이 증가할수록 다시마 SCD 국수의 texture parameter논 증가하였고, 물의 함량이 증가할수록 texture parameter는 반대로 감소하였으며 SCD의 함량이 증가할수록 texture parameter는 감소 후 증가하였다. 밀가루와 SCD의 함량이 증가할수록, 물의 함량이 감소할수록 L 값과 b 값은 증가하였으며, a 값은 밀가루의 함량이 증가할수록 감소하였고 물의 함량이 증가할수록 감소 후 증가하였다. Constraint coefficient 값의 분석 결과 SCD는 건면과 조리면의 texture parameter와 색도의 L(명도) 및 b(황색도) 값, 물은 a(적색도) 값에 가장 큰 영향을 주었으며, hardness를 제외한 texture parameter와 색도에서 원료간의 상호작용이 있었다. Modified distance design에 의해 결정된 최적 배합비율은 밀가루, 물, SCD의 함량이 각각 63.3, 31, 3.7%이었다. 관능검사 결과 잔해수로 처리한 SCD 국수는 시중제품보다 모든 면에서 점수가 약간 떨어지나, 전해수 미처리 SCD 국수보다는 월등히 높은 점수를 받아 전해수의 처리는 본 SCD 국수의 품질향상에 기여할 것으로 판단된다.

토사안정제를 이용한 비탈면보강 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on Slope Reinforcing Effects Using Soil Stabilizer)

  • 토사안정제를 이용한 비탈면 보강공법은 환경친화적이고 원지반의 강도증대를 통한 비탈면안정성을 확보하는 방법이다. 그러나 비탈면 보강공법으로 적용할 경우 현장토질과의 혼합에 따른 실제 강도증가 정도가 명확하지 못하고 보강효과에 대한 연구가 부족하여 현장에서 많이 적용되고 있지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 토사안정제 혼합율에 따른 지반강도증가 효과를 알아보고 수치해석을 통하여 비탈면 설계 적용시 비탈면 높이에 따른 적정 보강두께를 제시하고자 하였다. 실험결과 토사안정제 함량별로 강도증가가 차이는 있지만 대략 2.0~3.0배정도 강도가 증가 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 수치해석을 통해서도 비탈면 높이에 따른 적정높이를 산정할 수 있었다. 향후 비탈면 보강목적으로 토사안정제의 활용도가 높을 것으로 판단된다.

석회혼합토의 압축강도에 관한 연구 (제1보) -석회함량 및 갱생이 강도에 미치는 영향- (Studies on the Compressive Strength in Lime-Soil Mixtures -Influence of Lime-Content and Curing on Compressive Strength-)

  • The following results were obtained by the compression test of 3, 7, 14 and 28 days cured lime soil mixtures. The soil used in this test was clayey soil(sand : 20% silt : 45%, clay : 35%) and the rates of hydrated lime mixture for the dry weight of soil were 4, 8, 12, 19 and 20 percents. 1. The optimum moisture content increases and the maximum dry density decreases with the increase of the lime content. 2. The compacted moisture for the maximum strength in lime soil mixture increases with the increase of the lime content and the increase of curing periods. 3. The compressive strength increase of curing periods and its increasing ratio is largest at the 8 percent lime content. 4. The line content for the maximum strength decreases with increase of curing period and the largest strength shows at the 8 percent lime content when the curing period is over two weeks. 5. It seems to depend on the temperature effect that the compressive strength of lime soil mixtures cured in soil shows the lowest value. Accordingly, the effect of curing moisture does not influence to the strength of lime soil mixtures as much as the variation of curing temperature.

흑연(Graphite) 첨가를 통한 수직 밀폐형 지중열교환기 뒤채움재의 열전도 특성 향상 연구 (Study on physical characteristic of Graphite-added grout for backfilling cloed-loop groud heat exchanger)

  • The thermal conductivity and viscosity(or workability) of graphite-added bentonite grouts and cementitious grouts have been evaluated and compared to determine the suitability of these materials for backfilling vertical boreholes of ground heat exchangers. Seven bentonite grouts from different product sources and a portland cement grout with various mixture ratios were considered in this paper. As a new additive for grout, we choose graphite which has high thermal conductivity. The bentonite grouts indicate that the thermal conductivity and viscosity increase with the content of bentonite or with an addition of Graphite compared with that of silica sand. In case of cementitious grout also increase the thermal conductivity and decrease the workability dramatically though an addition of Graphite. Therefore, we cautiously select the amount of graphite and mixture ratio of bentonite and cement considering not only thermal conductivity but also viscosity for the optimum condition of backfilling material.

삼성분 전분혼합에 의한 이겹지의 층간결합강도 개선 (The Effects of Blending Starches on the Development of Plybond Strength of Two-ply Linerboard)

  • The effects of blending starches with different gelatinization temperatures on the development of ply-bond strength were systematically investigated using a three component mixture design technique. Oxidized corn starches with different gelatinization temperatures were blended with natural corn starch and sprayed for plybonding. Optimum blend ratio for maximizing plybond strength improvement for the starch blends was 40% of natural starch, 27% of oxidized starch with low gelatinization temperature and 33% of oxidized starch with high gelatinization temperature. Starch granules with the lowest gelatinization temperature gelatinizes at the lowest temperature, while the natural corn starch gelatinizes at later stage of drying. The improvement of plybond strength with starch blends were verified on machine trial as well. Plybond strength improvement obtained from the machine trial was lower than that achievable with handsheets, which was attributed to the lower internal bond strength of the linerboards made from recycled fibers.

  • The properties of green sheet were investigated in order to understanding an effects of organic solvent mixture ratio for solid oxide fuel cells fabrication. The purpose of this work is to optimize the slurry condition using the design of experiment to improve green sheet properties. The elongation increased with increasing amount of binder and solvent. With increasing amount of solvent, the air permeability increased but the tensile strength decreased. The best properties of the green sheet appeared amount of the binder 17 wt%, solvent 35 wt% and powder 48 wt%. The optimum condition of green and sintered density for solid oxide fuel cells fabrication was obtained in the sample pressured at 800 $kgf/cm^2$.

Surface Treatment of 304L Stainless Steel for Improving The Pitting Corrosion Resistance by Inhibitor

  • Electrochemical techniques were used to study the surface treatment for improving the pitting corrosion resistance of 304L stainless steel by inhibitors in chloride medium. Sodium molybdate (in concentration range : 0.005-80 g/l) , sodium nitrite (in concentration range : 0.001-50 g/l) and their mixture were used for this study. It was found that, molybdate and nitrite were good passivators for 304L stainless steel, but molybdate was not able to prohibit the pitting ; nitrite prevented pitting corrosion of 304L stainless steel only at the concentration more than 25 g/l. The relationship between pitting potentials and concentrations of inhibitors in the logarithm expression obeyed the linear function. It was found that the surface treatment by mixture of two inhibitors enables stainless steel to have increased the corrosion resistance , the pitting corrosion of 304L stainless steel was completely prohibited by the mixtures of molybdate and nitrite in ratio min, with $m\;\geq\;3\;and\;n\;\geq\;10$. The interesting cases on electrochemical measurement of threshold of inhibitors concentration combination for optimum surface treatment were described.
