This study was carried out to recommend the systematic improving practice for the effective operation of septic tank, and the evaluation of its BOD and nutrient removal efficiency depending on process, the survey of characteristics of FRP material, and the suggestion of optimum septic tank model within sewage treatment area. The average BOD concentration and BOD removal efficiency of septic tank which was carried out the cleaning periodically in 63.9 mg/L and 77.8%, shows good quality better than the septic tank which was not carried out the cleaning regularly. Maximum load of tensile, flexural and compressive strength increased in proportion to its thickness, and the contents standard 25% of glass fiber required upgrade over than 30%. Configuration and performance for the optimum of the septic tank suggests that over $0.75m^3$ of the effective total volume, adding to over $0.25m^3$ a man for more than 5 men of the treated person, retention time should be within one day. Improving plans about facility and materials quality of the septic tank have an obligation that protective wall ought to install on the concrete bottom and side faces to prevent crumble or transform from loading of the ground or upper part of the structure on the tank setting. And it is eliminated the uneffective resisting pressure and it keeps off circulate imperfect products by strengthening of the test methods such as stretching strength, pressing strength, glass fiber contents and thickness.
Optimum Cu and Mn contents in 0.05wt%C-Cu bearing hot rolled steel sheets were investigated by vickers hardness measurement, tensile test and transmission electron microscopy. It was determined that the optimum Cu and Mn contents were 1.2wt% and 0.75-0.85wt% respectively. It was confirmed by TEM observation that the coarse recipitates were fcc $\varepsilon$-Cu in 0.05%C-1.2%Cu-0.75%Mn-O.O4%Nb steel sheets. The Cu-bearing steel sheets having 780MPa of tensile strength could be fabricated by 10% pre-strain and aging treatment at $550^{\circ}C$ for 30min.

PURPOSES : The purpose of this study was to develop an urgent road-repair system and perform a field applicability test, as well as discover the optimum mix design for machine applications compared to the optimum mix design for lab applications. METHODS : According to reviews of the patent and developed equipment, self-propelled and mix-in-place equipment types are suitable for urgent pavement repair, e.g., potholes and cracks. The machine-application mix design was revised based on the optimum lab-test mix design, and the field application of a spray-injection system was performed on the job site. The mixture from the machine application and lab application was subjected to a wet-track abrasion test and a wheel-tracking test to calibrate the machine application. RESULTS and CONCLUSIONS : This study showed that the binder content could differ for the lab application and the machine application in the same setting. Based on the wet-track abrasion test result, the binder contents of the machine application exceeded the binder contents of the lab application by 1-1.5% on the same setting value. Moreover, the maximum dynamic stability value for the machine application showed 1% lower binder contents than the maximum lab-application value. Collectively, the results of the two different tests showed that the different sizes and operating methods of the machine and lab applications could affect the mix designs. Further studies will be performed to verify the bonding strength and monitor the field application.
PURPOSES : To ensure appropriate RCC properties with sufficient strength development and workability, it is necessary to secure a proper level of consistency. It is also necessary to secure maximum dry density, which is an important factor for increasing the interaction of aggregate interlocking, leading to an augmentation of RCC strength. On the other hand, the dry density of RCC can be changed owing to the compaction conditions, water content, and particle size distribution. A Proctor test and a modified Proctor test were used for determining the optimum water content needed to achieve maximum dry density with different amounts of compaction energy. A Vebe test, on the other hand, was used for checking the level of consistency, which is important for producing a workable mixture. METHODS : To confirm the degree of compaction at various particle sizes, RCC mixtures with different sand/aggregate ratios were evaluated. The Proctor test and modified Proctor test were applied to these mixtures to check the effect of the aggregate gradation and compaction energy on the maximum dry density and optimum water content. During each test, three specimens were produced for all types of water content under each aggregate gradation. A compaction curve and the optimum water content and maximum dry density for each aggregate gradation were then obtained for both tests. The range of water content for the appropriate consistency of each aggregate gradation was determined through a Vebe test. The optimum water content was then evaluated based on this range. RESULTS : The compaction test results show that the modified Proctor test provides a higher maximum dry density and lower optimum water content compared with the standard Proctor test. For the modified Proctor test, two cases of aggregate gradation (s/a = 30% and 70%) had the optimum water contents outside of the appropriate water content range. For the standard Proctor test, on the other hand, none of aggregate gradations provided the optimum water content within the desired range. CONCLUSIONS : The modified Proctor test should be used for an RCC mixture design because it can provide adequacy between maximum dry density and consistency. Moreover, the compaction roller has become highly developed for higher compaction energy.

This study was intended to develop a cost function for the natural air in-bin drying: system which could lead to an optimization of the drying system cost. Based on the cost function developed, a series of simulated drying tests were conducted with 10-year weather data (1970~1979) for 7 different regions by applying an appropriate levels of system factors. System performance factors treated in this study were initial moisture content, airflow rate, bin diameter and grain depth. An optimization procedure to find the least cost system was developed as follows: First, the worst year of the past decade was determined in consideration of the dryiang time and maximum dry matter loss. Second, the minimum airflow rate for a fixed bin diameter and grain depth was determined. Third, the optimum grain depth was found for the minimum airflow rate with different initial moisture contents and bin diameters. The results obtained in this study are summarized as follows: 1. The optimization procedure developed in this study was able to reduce the time and efforts significantly. 2. Optimum values of drying parameters including airflow rate, grain depth, and fan size were determined for different initial moisture contents and bin diameters in each region. The results are shown in Tables 3 to 9. 3. Optimum grain depths decreased as the initial moisture content and airflow rate increased. 4. Drying time for the least cost system should be reduced with higher initial moisture content and lower drying potential to prevent grain spoilage. 5. The fixed cost was 65 to 75 percent of the total system cost and the variable cost was 25 to 35 percent. To reduce the fixed cost it is desirable to use a drying bin 2 or 3 times a year.
To determine the optimum light intensity for growth of ginseng plants, change of temperature, moisture content in son, occurrence alternaria blight, defoliation rate, chlorophyll contents, and growth of shoots and roots were investigated under different light intensity such as 5%, 10%, 20% and 30% light transmittance rare(L.T.R.). The results obtained were as follows. 1. Maximum temperature under the shading was increased as the increase of light intensity, whereas soil moisture content decreased 2. As the increase of light intensity, stem and Peduncle length, leaf area, and chlorophyll contents decreased significantly but length and width of the leaf was not significant, while stem diameter, special leaf weight and chlorophyll a/chl. b ratio increased 3. Stem color was shown dark purp!e as the increase of light intensity. 4. Photosynthesis during the day was highest at 9 A.M. and decreased as time passed in all plots. The means of photouynthesis during the day showed in the order of 20%, 10%, 30%, 5% L.T.R., and optimum light intensity for highest photosxthesis was 18.4% L.T.R. by theoritical equation. 5. It was showed a tendency that alternaria leaf blight of ginseng plants was increased as the increase of light intensity. 6. Defoliation rate of ginseng plants was increased as the increase of light intensity, especially all plants were defoliated by late June without shading. 7. Yield percentage of the rear line was increased as the increase of light intensity. Root weight per plant showed in the order of 20%, 10%, 30%, 5% L.T.R., and optimum light intensity for the best yield was 18.5% L.T.R. by theeritical equation.
Hospitals today use independent systems for each department and job such as Hospital Information Sytem(HIS), Picture Archiving Communications System(PACS), Ordering Communication System(OCS), Electronic Medical Record(EMR), Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP), etc and each system employs its own DB. So, it is impossible to integrate information within the institution and difficult to keep transparency and consistency of data. I in this study offered a data integration environment through flexible management linked with other systems, and by doing that, designed a medical CRM frame which offers the optimum service the customer wants at the optimum time. I designed 4 of medical CRM frame: customer relationship management, public relations/marketing, service management, and statistics/analysis by the customer relationship management process standardization and aimed to offer tailored mobile contents according to customer's characters and health situation on the basis of customer's data by securing mobile medical contents for personalized medical information service.
