오징어(Todarodes paxificus) 식해 제조시 고춧가루 및 마늘의 발효최적 첨가량 최적 공정 개발 (Optimal Processing Conditions and Concentrations for Red Pepper Powder and Crushed Garlic in the Manufacture of Squid Todarodes paxificus Sikhae)

  • Squid Sikhae is a traditional salt-fermented food in Korea. We evaluated the standardization of optimal processing conditions for desirable quality-controlled squid Sikhae using analyses of physiochemical properties, microbiological species, and organoleptic tests. The optimal fermentation temperature, sun-dried sea salt concentration, and fermentation period for manufacturing squid Sikhae products of the aceeptable quality were $10^{\circ}C$, 4%, and 6 days. In addition, optimal concentrations of the additional ingredients of red pepper powder and crushed garlic for acceptable quality squid Sikhae were both 6%.

  • The aim of this work is the real-time road edge detection using the fast processing of Cellular Analogic Parallel Processing Networks(CAPPN). The CAPPN is composed of 2D analog cell way. If the dynamic programming is implemented with the CAPPN, the optimal path can be detected in parallel manner Provided that fragments of road edge are utilized as the cost inverse(benefit) in the CAPPN-based optimal path algorithm, the CAPPN determines the most plausible path as the road edge line. Benefits of the proposed algorithm are the fast processing and the utilization of optimal technique to determine the road edge lines.

  • This paper describes a non-causal interpolative prediction method for B-picture encoding. Interpolative prediction uses correlations between neighboring pixels, including non-causal pixels, for high prediction performance, in contrast to the conventional prediction, using only the causal pixels. For the interpolative prediction, the optimal quantizing scheme has been investigated for preventing conding error power from expanding in the decoding process. In this paper, we extend the optimal quantization sceme to inter-frame prediction in video coding. Unlike H.264 scheme, our method uses non-causal frames adjacent to the prediction frame.

Stochastic Scheduling Problems for Maximizing the Expected Number of Early Jobs with Common or Exchangeable Due Dates

  • In this paper, stochastic scheduling problems are considered when processing times and due dates follow arbitrary distributions and due dates are either common or exchangeable. For maximizing the expected number of early jobs, two policies, one, based on pairwise comparisons of the processing times, and the other, based on survivabilities, are introduced. In addition, it is shown that the former guarantees optimal solutions when the processing times and due dates are deterministic and that the latter guarantees optimal solutions when the due dates follow exponential distributions. Then a new approach, exploiting the two policies, is proposed and analyzed which turns out to give better job sequences in many situations. In fact, the new approach guarantees optimal solutions both when the processing times and due dates are deterministic and when the due dates follow exponential distributions.

  • In this paper, design parameters of rapid thermal processing(RTP) to minimize the wafer temperature uniformity errors are proposed. Lamp ring positions and the wafer height are important parameters for wafer temperature uniformity in RTP. We propose the method to seek lamp ring positions and the wafer gheight for optimal temperature uniformity. The proposed method is applied to seek optimal lamp ring positions and the wafer feight of 8 inch wafer. To seek the optimal lamp ring positions and the wafer height, we vary lamp ring positions and the wafer height and then formulate the wafer temperature uniformity problem to the linear programming problem. Finally, it is shown that the wafer temperature uniformity in RTP designed by optimal problem. Finally, it is hsown that the wafer temperature uniformity is RTP designed by optimal parameters is improved to comparing with RTP designed by the other method.

UNIX 시스템의 최적 이용율 결정 (Determination of The Optimal Utilization of The UNIX Systems)

  • 본 논문은 UNIX 시스템의 최적 이용율(Optimal Utilization)을 결정하는 방법을 제시한다. 제시된 방법은 사용자가 인내할 수 있는 응답시간(Tolerable Response Time) 을 제공하는 범위에서 사용자에게 허용될 수 있는 최대 이용율이 최적 이용율이 된다 는 정의(Definition)를 근거로하여 개발되었다. 인내할 수 있는 응답시간이 길어지면 최적 이용율도 높아지므로 최적 이용율은 인내할 수 있는 응답시간의 최대값에서 구해 진다. 인내할 수 있는 응답시간은 서비스 목표(Service Objective) 가 주어지면 도출 해낼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 인내할 수 있는 응답시간이 0.24초라는 것과 최적 이용 율의 세가지 구성요소는 %wio, %sys, %usr이라는 것을 보여준다. 또한 최적 이용율을 결정하는 실제의 과정을 예시하기 위하여 UNIX 운영체제를 사용하는 IBM 3081 컴퓨터 의 최적 이용율을 구하는 과정을 보여준다.

멸치액젓잔사 추출물을 이용한 조미소재 개발 (Development of a Seasoning Sauce Using Hot Water Extracts from Anchovy Engraulis japonica Fish Sauce Processing By-products)

  • We developed a seasoning sauce using hot water extracts from anchovy Engraulis japonica fish sauce processing by-products. A temperature of 121℃ was maintained for 120 min and the resulting amino acid content, salinity, and pH were 183.6 mg/100 g, 6.86, and 17.4 g/100 g, respectively. Radish juice, sea tangle Saccharina japonica extract, and mushroom Lentinula edodes were added to improve the flavor. The glutamic acid content of the extract mixed with 10% sea tangle extract was 88.87 mg/100 g and the 5'-GMP (guanine 5'-monophosphate) content of the extract mixed with 10% mushroom extract was 9.67 mg/ g. This study was conducted to determine optimal processing conditions for seasoned products using response surface methodology (RSM). The optimal conditions for X1 (sea tangle extract concentration) and X2 (mushroom extract concentration) were 15.0% and 5.0%, respectively, and the predicted values of the multiple response optimal conditions were Y1 (5'-GMP: 17.36 mg/100 g) and Y2 (glutamic acid: 157.35 mg/100 g). Under the optimal conditions, the experimental values of Y1 and Y2 were 17.32 mg/g and 155.36 mg/100 g, respectively, which are similar to the predicted values. We confirmed the feasibility of developing a seasoning sauce using hot water extract from anchovy fish sauce processing by-products and additives.

  • 공간 데이터베이스 시스템에서 최소 근접질의는 매우 빈번히 발생하며, 다른 유형의 공간질의에 비하여 처리비용이 많이 요구된다. 최소근접질의의 처리비용을 최적화하기 위해서는 색인에서 검색되는 노드의수를 최소화할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위해 최소근접질의 처리시 색인에서 방문될 노드들을 정확히 선정하기 위한 검색거리 측도인 최적탐색거리가 제안되었다[13]. 본 논문에서는 최적탐색거리의 특성을 N차원으로 확장하고 최대검색거리를 이용한 방법에 비해 최적탐색거리를 이용한 방법이 질의처리 성능이 더 우수함을 실험을 통하여 입증한다.

Among several squid Sikhae preparation processes, the optimal fermentation temperature sun-dried sea salt concentration, and fermentation period for squid Sikhae of acceptable quality were $10^{\circ}C$, 4%, and 6 days, respectively. Amino-N and volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) contents of the acceptable quality squid Sikhae were 162.51 mg/100 g and 15.25 mg/100 g, respectively.
