가상화 환경에서 호스트 기반 취약점 분석 시스템을 위한 효율적인 에이전트 프레임워크 (An Efficient Agent Framework for Host-based Vulnerability Assessment System in Virtualization Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 가상화 환경에서 호스트 기반 취약점 분석 시스템의 에이전트 프레임워크를 제안한다. 기존 호스트 기반 취약점은 점검 대상 시스템에 에이전트를 반드시 설치하여 운용해야만 했지만 제안한 에이전트 프레임워크는 점검 대상 가상머신에 에이전트를 복사 및 실행하는 개념을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 가상화 환경에서 호스트 기반 취약점 분석 시스템 에이전트 프레임워크를 수립하였으며 점검 시나리오를 기술하고 해당 시나리오에 대한 파일럿 시스템을 개발하였다. 제안하는 에이전트 프레임워크는 점검 대상 시스템 추가 시에도 에이전트의 추가 설치가 없어 시스템 확장성을 극대화하였으며 에이전트의 불필요한 자원 낭비 등 기존 시스템의 단점을 개선하였다.

지향각 명령 오차를 고려한 망원경 탐지 성능 분석 (Detection Performance Analysis of the Telescope considering Pointing Angle Command Error)

  • 본 논문에서는 인공위성을 비롯한 우주물체 관측 및 감시를 위한 전자광학 관측 장비인 망원경의 탐지 성능에 대한 분석을 수행한다. M&S(Modeling & Simulation)를 통한 분석을 위해, 위성 궤도 모델, 망원경 모델, 그리고 지구 대기 모델을 구현하고, 위성을 관측하는 탐지 시나리오를 구성한다. 탐지 시나리오를 바탕으로 지향각 명령 오차를 적용하여 망원경 주요 사양인 시야각(Field of View, FOV)에 따른 지향 성능을 분석하고, 신호대잡음비(Signal-to-Noise Ratio, SNR)를 통해 탐지 여부를 판별하여 검출기 화소수와 시야각(FOV)에 따른 탐지 성능을 분석한다. 본 논문의 M&S 분석 결과는 망원경 시야각(FOV)이 상대적으로 클수록 지향각 명령 오차가 존재하더라도 지향 성능은 좋지만, 대기 환경의 영향으로 화소수가 높고 망원경 시야각(FOV)이 작을수록 탐지 성능이 높아짐을 보여준다. 그래서 시야각(FOV)과 화소수 등의 망원경 주요 사양은 본 논문에서 수행한 M&S 분석 결과 및 종합적인 운용 상황을 고려하여 결정해야 한다.

식품산업체의 위기관리 조직 및 위기대응 절차 (Organization of Crisis Response Teams and Operating Procedures for Crisis Response Activities in the Food Industry)

  • Objectives: Promotion of food safety/eradicating adulterated food has been listed as one of the four major issues recently identified for action by the Korean government. Due to the related seriousness, the food industry has been encouraged to take steps to restore consumer confidence. In order to set guidelines for the creation of manuals for the response to a food safety crisis by the food industry, this study provided a suggested organization for a crisis response team and operating procedures for crisis response activities. Methods: The prototypes of an organizational structure and a set of standard procedures for a crisis response system were provided. Results: The results of the study suggested that a crisis response team should be comprised of four divisions of responsibility: information analysis, site response, communication and operational support. The organization chart and the role and functions for each division of the crisis response team should be indicated. Response activities will be more effective when the team features multi-disciplined staffing, such as public relations, food safety/technology/quality, sales/marketing, purchasing, production, distribution/logistics, regulatory affairs/legal, and consumer service specialists. This study created a flow chart for the total crisis response system, which included crisis and normal situations. A crisis response team should be continuously operated for both crisis and normal conditions. This study also suggested a scenario to explain the procedures for crisis response activities. Conclusion: In order to cope more effectively with a food safety crisis, the organizational structure and its functions should be defined clearly, and a detailed set of standard procedures for response activities should be offered.

블록 트레인 서비스 운영 전략 학습 시뮬레이터 개발 (An Educational Simulator for Operational Strategies of the Block Train Services)

  • 내륙물류의 생산성 향상 및 친환경적 체계 구축을 위해 많은 국가에서 블록 트레인 서비스(Block Train Service) 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 하지만 철도부문의 정부 독점 운영 상황과 대부분의 물류정보가 기업의 영업기밀에 속하는 물류산업의 특성 등으로 인해 BT 서비스에 대한 일반의 이해와 연구적 접근이 쉽지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 BT 운용에 필요한 학습 및 전략적 판단을 지원하는 BTS 시뮬레이터를 개발하였다. 이를 위해 국내 대표 BT 운영사인 K사의 실무자들을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰와 관련 자료의 분석을 진행하였다. 본 시뮬레이터는 K사의 부산신항-의왕 구간 사례를 참조하였으며, BT 운영에 관한 시나리오 생성 및 분석 기능을 지원한다. 본 연구는 새로운 형태의 BT운영 학습 및 전략 분석 지원 기술을 연구하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

객체-능동-지식 기반 우편 업무 모델 설계 (Design of Object-Active-Knowledge(OAK) Model for Postal Business)

  • 본 논문에서는 새로이 재편될 우편 업무를 위한 통합 모델을 설계하였으며, 설계 단계는 다음과 같이 4단계로 나누어 진행하였다. 첫째, 기존의 우편 업무와 재편될 우편 업무를 수집, 운송, 배달 업무로 구분하여 분석하였고, 둘째, 통합 우면 모델 설계시에 적용할 몇 가지 기준을 개발하였으며, 셋째, 모델링 기준을 적용하여 우편 업무 단계별로 객체 지향 모델을 설계하였다. 마지막으로, 개발 모델에 적용되는 메소드를 분류하고 그 중 일부 메소드는 제약 조건과 트리거 개념을 적용한 능동 기반 메소드로 개발하였으며, 일부는 추론 기능을 지원하는 지식 기반 메소드로 개발하였다. 이와 같이 개발된 메소드는 각 정보의 속성값과 캡슐화되어 저장되어짐으로써 객체-능동-지식 기반 우편 업무 데이타베이스 모델을 형성한다. 마지막으로 개발 모델 동작 시나리오와 서비스 시나리오를 구성하여 실제 응용이 가능함을 보였다.

On the Derivation of Safety Requirements and Specifications based Integrated System Operation Scenario for the Development of Unmanned Courier Storage Device Platform in Urban Areas

  • In modern society, digital lifestyles are spreading to minimize contact with people and to receive contactless information. The spread trend has established an unmanned distribution system in which transactions through contactless technologies such as kiosks and chatbots are activated in face-to-face transactions with sellers and consumers. In order to streamline logistics supply worldwide, digital new deal based joint logistics hubs, unmanned courier storage platforms, and fresh logistics based last mile services have been developed into unmanned logistics systems, focusing on the intelligent logistics system automation process. Unmanned courier storage system installed in urban areas and home to daily logistics where volume is concentrated are provided with fresh logistics services through cold chain and receiving freights in contactless environments. Development is also underway to minimize safety accidents caused by courier services, such as managing various information based on the integrated control system. This paper defines the concept of integrated operation for the development of a platform for contactless unmanned courier storage device developed into next-generation logistics system. In addition, we intend to develop systems engineering-based output for deriving safety requirements and specifications by identifying risk sources that may occur in the operational scenario. Therefore, the goal is to establish a foundation for safety and reliability between interfaces of logistics systems to be installed in apartment and subway station environments that want to provide unmanned logistics services to various consumers.

A study on collision strength assessment of a jack-up rig with attendant vessel

  • The rapid proliferation of oil/gas drilling and wind turbine installations with jack-up rig-formed structures increases structural safety requirements, due to the greater risks of operational collisions during use of these structures. Therefore, current industrial practices and regulations have tended to increase the required accidental collision design loads (impact energies) for jack-up rigs. However, the existing simplified design approach tends to be limited to the design and prediction of local members due to the difficulty in applying the increased uniform impact energy to a brace member without regard for the member's position. It is therefore necessary to define accidental load estimation in terms of a reasonable collision scenario and its application to the structural response analysis. We found by a collision probabilistic approach that the kinetic energy ranged from a minimum of 9 MJ to a maximum 1049 MJ. Only 6% of these values are less than the 35 MJ recommendation of DNV-GL (2013). This study assumed and applied a representative design load of 196.2 MN for an impact load of 20,000 tons. Based on this design load, the detailed design of a leg structure was numerically verified via an FE analysis comprising three categories: linear analysis, buckling analysis and progressive collapse analysis. Based on the numerical results from this analysis, it was possible to predict the collapse mode and position of each member in relation to the collision load. This study provided a collision strength assessment between attendant vessels and a jack-up rig based on probabilistic collision scenarios and nonlinear structural analysis. The numerical results of this study also afforded reasonable evaluation criteria and specific evaluation procedures.

Physics informed neural networks for surrogate modeling of accidental scenarios in nuclear power plants

  • Licensing the next-generation of nuclear reactor designs requires extensive use of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) to investigate system response to many operational conditions, identify possible accidental scenarios and predict their evolution to undesirable consequences that are to be prevented or mitigated via the deployment of adequate safety barriers. Deep Learning (DL) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can support M&S computationally by providing surrogates of the complex multi-physics high-fidelity models used for design. However, DL and AI are, generally, low-fidelity 'black-box' models that do not assure any structure based on physical laws and constraints, and may, thus, lack interpretability and accuracy of the results. This poses limitations on their credibility and doubts about their adoption for the safety assessment and licensing of novel reactor designs. In this regard, Physics Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) are receiving growing attention for their ability to integrate fundamental physics laws and domain knowledge in the neural networks, thus assuring credible generalization capabilities and credible predictions. This paper presents the use of PINNs as surrogate models for accidental scenarios simulation in Nuclear Power Plants (NPPs). A case study of a Loss of Heat Sink (LOHS) accidental scenario in a Nuclear Battery (NB), a unique class of transportable, plug-and-play microreactors, is considered. A PINN is developed and compared with a Deep Neural Network (DNN). The results show the advantages of PINNs in providing accurate solutions, avoiding overfitting, underfitting and intrinsically ensuring physics-consistent results.

VISSIM을 활용한 소규모 회전교차로의 지체 분석 (Delay Analysis of Small-scale Roundabouts Using VISSIM)

  • 이 연구는 소규모 회전교차로를 다루고 있다. 이 연구는 회전교차로의 평균지체를 분석하고 효율적인 계획 및 설계기준을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 내접원 지름, 회전차로의 속도 및 진입교통량에 따른 평균지체 분석에 중점을 두고있다. 96개($3{\times}4{\times}8$) 시나리오의 운영효율이 교통시뮬레이션 프로그램 VISSIM (Verkehr In $St{\ddot{a}}dten$-SIMulationsmodell)을 사용하여 분석되었다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시나리오 분석을 통해 소규모 회전교차로의 적정 설계속도가 도출되었다. 둘째, 서비스 수준 D에 도달하는 진입교통량은 2,180-2,740pcph인 것으로 분석되었다. 셋째, 분석 회전교차로에서 혼잡수준 F로 개선이 요구되는 교통량은 2,780pcph 이상으로 평가되었다. 연구 결과는 효율적인 회전교차로 운영을 위한 대응조치를 제공하는 데 몇 가지 함의를 줄 것으로 기대된다.

Radiological safety analysis of a newly designed spent resin mixture treatment facility during normal and abnormal operational scenarios for the safety of radiation workers

  • The radiological safety of workers in a newly developed microwave-based spent resin treatment facility was assessed based on work location and operational scenarios. The results show that the remote-operation room worker was exposed to maximum annual dose of 3.19E+00 mSv, which is 15.9% of the dose limit, thereby confirming radiological safety. Inside the pathway, annual doses in the range of 7.87E-02-2.07E-01 mSv were measured initially at the mock-up tank and later at the point between the spent resin separation and treatment parts. The dose of emergency maintenance workers was below the dose limit (4.08E-03-4.99E+00 mSv); however, before treatment (separation and microwave), the dose of maintenance and repair workers exceeded the dose limit. The doses of the effluent removal workers at the zeolite and activated carbon storage tank and spent resin storage tank were the lowest at 2.79E-01-2.87E-01 mSv and 9.27E-01 mSv in "1 h" and "4-5 h of operation", respectively. The immediately lower and upper layers of the facility room exhibited the highest annual doses of 1.84E+00 and 3.22E+00 mSv, respectively. Through this study, a scenario that can minimize the dose considering the movement of spent resin through the facility can be developed.
