  • An operational strategy for inventory control on finished goods in the distribution system has been given attention to many enterprises and many studies regarding this field have been done and is also on-going currently. It handling large scale of smallness type are so the requisition of customer which is various that over it continues more full scale merit. therefore, It is a tendency that many of enterprise is handling small scale of smallness type for environment change confrontation. but It is not easy for the enterprise to In customer demand diversification suiting because too need many cost. In addition, at enterprise charge extra weight because remainder inventory is causes of defective stock for a inefficient problem solution. this paper is rationalization of stock cost decrease for comparison evaluation of small scale quantity handling of singleness type and small scale quantity handling of largeness type.

  • KOGAS, established in 1983 by law to ensure stable gas supply to the public, is responsible for the wholesale distribution to 30 city gas companies that deal with the retail distribution of natural gas in their geographic areas. The gas imported by KOGAS is measured by checking the level difference of LNG shipped in tankers before and after unloading. The analysis of gas composition is essential because the imported gas price is determined by its calorific value. The turbine meter is widely used for measuring the gas sold to city gas companies. Unlike the metering system for power plants, there is no gas chromatograph since the custody transfer of gas to the city gas companies is not billed by calorific value, but by volume basis. The gas quantity that a city gas company has bought from KOGAS is not equal to the quantity that the company sold to its customers. There have been some discrepancies between the wholesale gas meter readouts and retail ones due to some inherent errors of meters and some operational issues of the meters. This paper investigates the controversies regarding the real quantity of gas between distributors and consumers. It will discus and suggest desirable policies, both technically and economically, in order to solve the discrepancies of gas measurement.

A study on the comparison of operation for long & short time in the Dranco process (건식단상혐기성소화조 장.단기 운영의 비교연구)

  • In this study, a dry single-phase anaerobic digestion process (Dranco system) was investigated to evaluate the optimum operational conditions. Several factors such as injection rate of organic waste, biogas production, $CH_4$ content in the biogas, pH of the sludge, $NH_3$-N and VFA concentration were investigated based on the operation of the digestion process for 2 months (short term) and 8 months (long-term). The operation results showed that a small quantity of food waste should be injected every week and that a 10% increase of the microorganism injection rate should be needed. However, normal operation was conducted after 11 weeks based on the designed quantity. The $CH_4$ content in the biogas was high at the beginning and the end of the food injection. However, it was low during week days. When the biogas production was high, the $CH_4$ concentration was low. The biogas production increased with an increase of the injection rate. $100m^3$/ton of biogas was produced from normal operation of the digestion process based on the designed quantity. The pH values of the digestion tank based on short-term operation ranged from 8 to 8.5. However, the pH values ranged from 7.45 to 8.15 after 4 weeks of long-term operation. The $NH_3$-N concentration of short-term operation ranged from 4,500 to 5,500 ppm and it gradually decreased to 2,000ppm after normal operation was commenced. For long-term operation, it was 5,000ppm initially and 3,800ppm after normal operation was commenced. The VFA concentration of sludge was less than 900ppm and 2,500ppm for short and long-term operations, respectively, after normal operation. Overall, the differences between sludge pH, $NH_3$-N and VFA concentrations may be due to the different types of microorganisms and the digestion ability of the microorganisms which exist in the accumulation of non digested organics. Moreover, it may be also caused by the type of food waste. Further investigation is needed to confirm these relationships.

Commutative Property of Multiplication as a priori Knowledge (선험적 지식으로서 곱셈의 교환법칙 교육의 문제)

  • Instructions for the commutative property of multiplication at elementary schools tend to be based on checking the equality between the quantities of 'a times b 'and b' times a, ' for example, $3{\times}4=12$ and $4{\times}3=12$. This article critically examined the approaches to teach the commutative property of multiplication from Kant's perspective of mathematical knowledge. According to Kant, mathematical knowledge is a priori. Yet, the numeric exploration by checking the equality between the amounts of 'a groups of b' and 'b groups of a' does not reflect the nature of apriority of mathematical knowledge. I suggest we teach the commutative property of multiplication in a way that it helps reveal the operational schema that is necessarily and generally involved in the transformation from the structure of 'a times b' to the structure of 'b times a.' Distributive reasoning is the mental operation that enables children to perform the structural transformation for the commutative property of multiplication by distributing a unit of one quantity across the other quantity. For example, 3 times 4 is transformed into 4 times 3 by distributing each unit of the quantity 3, which results in $3{\times}4=(1+1+1){\times}4=(1{\times}4)+(1{\times}4)+(1{\times}4)+(1{\times}4)=4+4+4=4{\times}3$. It is argued that the distributive reasoning is also critical in learning the subsequent mathematics concepts, such as (a whole number)${\times}10$ or 100 and fraction concept and fraction multiplication.

  • Decontamination is one of the crucial technologies that are applied during the decommissioning process of nuclear facilities to secure the safety of workers and to minimize the quantity of radioactive waste. Decontamination removes radionuclides on the surface of contaminated metal. Compared with decontamination for operational nuclear facilities, decontamination for nuclear power plants that are being decommissioned needs to remove the more and thicker surface using more aggressive agents or specially developed equipment.   • This paper illustrates potential applications of POM/OPM/BOR, which are used for deterministic reliability evaluation in the operation mode (operational planning and operating) in Korea Power System. Deterministic reliability evaluation in this paper bases the philosophy of the marginality and the limitation of physical quantity (voltage and thermal in main) under contingency analysis. The POM/OPM/BOR tools have been developed by V&R (Vaimann and Research) in USA. Before case studies, main frame and feature of the tools are introduced in brief. Case studies of the actual power system of Korea are demonstrated for checking the application possibility of POM/OPM/BOR.

  • Continued efforts to build up Safety Management System(SMS) and to improve its efficiency in airports, to which customers have direct access, are taken for granted due to continuous development of the aviation industry in both quantity and quality and rapid growth of air transportation market. This thesis proposed efficient operation methods of SMS for domestic airport organizations including Incheon International Airport(IIA), the largest airport in South Korea, aiming at strengthening aviation safety from the perspective of airport operators who play a pivotal role in service provider SMS. Those are consolidation of the existing safety management organizations and various improvements to promote voluntary incident reporting system. To draw a proposal for the improvements, conducted a research on domestic safety management status, carried out an analysis on operating conditions and did a research on ICAO regulations, domestic legal system as well as statistics data. Relevant studies and researches were also gathered and analyzed. A search for further improvements can also help increase operational efficiency and promoting a higher-level of safety awareness among operators can establish mature safety culture at airports.

  • In this study, we evaluate the efficiency of Construction Industry using Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA). Since the Construction Industry has been traditionally operated through competition, it is important to measure the efficiency. In this paper, we empirically analyze the Efficiency of the 50 Korean Construction Industry. In detail, we used the scale of efficiency in order that efficiency cannot be affected by the total technical efficiency of each company and the scale of DMU by applying CCR or BBC model. Also, we analyzed the changes of measurement DEA model score. we adopted the basic DEA, RTS Region and MPSS(Most Productive Scale Size) method which are combined with efficiency measurement model in order to analyze the operational status. Furthermore, by complementing the shortfalls of the scale efficiency value of the DEA Model, RTS Region Model can be recommended to be appropriate in the evaluation of ideal input/output Quantity. In particular, input variables are total assets, construction capacity, the technical staff and output variables are sales volume, operating income. The result of RTS Region and MPSS shows that 9 DMUs of the efficiency frontier in the Construction Industry are analyzed to be relatively efficient DMUs, and 41 DMUs are analyzed to be inefficient DMUs, and finally inefficient DMUs are separated with Region 1 and Region 6.

  • During drought season, the self-purification capacities of the four major rivers in Korea are significantly controlled by environmental maintenance flows supplied from the mid- or upstream large dams. Therefore, it is obviously important to operate the dams considering not only water quantity aspects but also conservation of downstream water quality and aquatic ecosystems. Mathematical water quality models can be efficiently used to serve as a decision support tool for evaluating the effects of operational alternatives of upstream dams on the downstream aquatic environment. In this study, an unsteady one-dimensional water quality model, KORIV1-WIN was developed based on the theoretical and numerical algorithms for hydrodynamics and water quality simulations of CE-QUAL-RIV1. It consists of hydrodynamic(KORIV1H) and water quality(KORIV1Q) modules, and pre- and post-processors for input data preparations and output displays. The model can be used to predict one-dimensional hydraulic and water quality variations in rivers with highly unsteady flows such as dam outflow change, rainfall-runoff, and chemical spill events.

An Analysis of Environmental Water Release Patterns Considering Operation Rules in Enlarged Agricultural Reservoirs (둑높이기 농업용저수지의 운영기준에 따른 환경용수 방류패턴 분석)

  • The importance of environmental water has been risen in terms of river ecosystem soundness with preventing stream flow depletion in rural area, while enlarging agricultural reservoir project is conducted under the 4 main river restoration project for supplying more water to 4 main rivers. The aim of this study was to estimate the amount of environmental water release and analyze the release pattern during non-irrigation season in enlarged agricultural reservoirs. The 4 reservoirs (Dansan, Samga, Geumbong, Changpyeong) located on the upper region of Nakdong river were simulated applying the operation rule which was determined by release criteria curves. The simulated results indicated that the more environmental water could be released than the spillway release and continuous release was achieved with smaller range of fluctuation. In case of Changpyeong reservoir, average 506.0 thousand $m^3$ environmental water could be released on Feb., and it was about twice as much as the spillway release before the enlargement, and also, the 18 thousand $m^3$/day environmental water could be supplied to a stream consistently after enlargement. From the results, it was expected that the additional environmental water release will improve stream water flow during dry season in terms of quantity and quality of water.
