Anxiolytic-Like Effects of Cyclopeptide Fraction Alkaloids of Zizyphi Spinosi Semen: Possible Involvement of GABAA Receptors

  • This experiment was performed to investigate the anxiolytic-like effects of cyclopeptide fraction alkaloids of Zizyphi Spinosi Semen (CFAZ), by using the experimental paradigms of anxiety, and compared with those of a known anxiolytic, diazepam. CFAZ (8.0 mg/kg, p.o.) increased the percentage of time spent on the open arms and the number of open arms entries in the elevated plus-maze test, increased the number of head dips in the hole-board test, and increased the percentage of center zone ambulatory time in the open-field box. However, CFAZ has no effect on the locomotor activity, while diazepam (2.0 mg/kg, p.o.) significantly reduced locomotor activity. CFAZ did not influence the grip force in the grip strength meter test, either. From the molecular experiments, CFAZ increased chloride influx in cultured cerebellar granule cells. In addition, $GABA_A$ receptors $\gamma$-subunit were over-expressed by CFAZ in cultured cerebellar granule cells. It is concluded that CFAZ may have anxiolytic-like effects, and these effects may be mediated by $GABA_A$ receptors.

Quercetin의 항불안 효과: GABA 신경계를 중심으로 (Anxiolytic Effects of Quercetin: Involvement of GABAergic System)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 mice를 이용하여 elevated plus-maze (EPM) test와 hole-board test를 통해 quercetin의 잠재적인 항불안 작용을 확인하고자 함이다. Quercetin을 1.25, 2.5, 5나 10 mg/kg의 용량으로 각각 행동시험을 측정하기 1 시간 전에 ICR mice에 경구투여하였다. 대조군은 동일한 양의 10% Tween 80을 투여하였고 양성대조군으로 buspirone 2 mg/kg을 투여하였다. Quercetin을 단회 투여하여 EPM test를 실시한 결과, 5 mg/kg 용량에서 open arm에 머문 시간 및 진입한 횟수의 백분율이 control group과 비교하여 통계적으로 유의성 있게 증가하였다(p<0.05). 또한 quercetin을 투여하여 hole-board test를 실시한 결과, 5 mg/kg 용량에서 구멍에 머리를 넣은 횟수가 control group과 비교하여 통계적으로 유의성 있게 증가하였다(p<0.05). 또한 quercetin와 flumazenil ($GABA_A$ antagonist), WAY-100635 ($GABA_{A-{\rho}}$ antagonist) 또는 trans-4-aminocrotonic acid ($GABA_{A-{\rho}}$ agonist)를 병용투여하여 elevated plus-maze를 실험을 하여 신경계와의 관계를 확인한 결과, trans-4-aminocrotonic acid에서만 quercetin의 항불안 작용이 차단되었음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 결론적으로, 본 연구의 결과에서 quercetin이 elevated plus-maze 및 hole-board test, horizontal wire test, open field test를 통하여 locomotor activity 및 근육이완이나 진정 등의 부작용이 없으면서 우수한 항불안 작용을 가지는 소재라고 생각되며 이러한 작용이 특히 GABA 신경계와 관련이 있음을 시사하고 있다.

유한요소해석을 이용한 압축 하중을 받는 오픈 홀 복합재 시편의 점진적 손상 및 파손 분석 (Progressive Damage and Failure Analysis of Open-Hole Composite Specimens Under Compressive Loading Using Finite Element Analysis)

  • 본 논문에서는 압축 하중을 받는 오픈 홀(open-hole compression) 탄소섬유 복합재(carbon fiber reinforced plastic, CFRP) 시편의 평면 내 손상(in-plane damage) 및 층간 분리(delamination)를 예측하기 위한 모델링 방법을 제안하고 유한요소해석(finite element analysis)을 수행하였다. 유한요소모델은 오픈 홀 복합재 시편의 점진적 손상 및 파손 분석(progressive damage and failure analysis)을 위해 Hashin 파손 기준(hashin failure criteria)과 표면 기반 응집 거동(cohesive behavior) 모델을 기반으로 구성되었으며 ABAQUS/EXPLICIT Solver를 활용하여 해석을 수행하였다. 유한요소해석의 타당성을 종합적으로 평가하기 위해 세 가지 유형의 적층 패턴(stacking sequences)을 가지는 오픈 홀 압축 복합재 시편에 대한 시험 결과와 비교하였다. 오픈 홀 압축 시편의 강도와 강성은 백분율 오차(percentage error) 10.0 % 미만으로 비교적 잘 예측하였으며 오픈 홀 복합재 적층판의 인장/압축 매트릭스 손상 상태 및 원공(hole) 근처의 복합재 계면 층간 분리에 대한 손상 상태를 추출하여 평가하고 분석하였다.

  • Periodically shaped pillar-arrays and hole-arrays were fabricated on a Si wafer. Geometric features are similar in a periodic length of 4 ${\mu}m$ and a depth of 2 ${\mu}m$. For the hole-array patterns, positive PR processes were performed. UV exposed PR patterns were removed during a developing process to leave shapes of inversely replicated from a glass photomask. Meanwhile, negative PR processes were taken for the pillar-array patterns. UV exposed PR patterns were remained on a Si substrate having a same feature of patterns of a glass photomask. For an electrical aspect, a pillar structure has a short carrier-collection length resulting in the improved open-circuit voltage of 609 mV from 587 mV of a planar device. An improved performance may be achieved to reduce recombination loss along the patterning surface.

  • Grinding technology in morden industry society is focusing on research and development for grinding stone and machin-ing parts for the purpose of high accuracy and high efficiency of products. But in order to equip the high technology and high accuracy of micro stone which is one of grinding stone a continuous effort on R& D is require. In this study the honing processing work of 2 cycle engine cylinder for motorcycle which has an open hole is carried out so as to investigate the boring and hone stone effects on accuracy of honing. As the experimental result of this study we could conclude that it is possible to secure good conditions of honing by controlling and keeping appropriate cycle-time in the stage of boring for the prior step of honing.

  • Numerical analysis on laminated plates containing an open hole subjected to compression is conducted to predict the damage constitutive behaviour of the plates. A micromechanical constitutive model for unidirectional laminated composites proposed by Liang et a1. (2006), in conjunction with damage models (Karihaloo and Fu, 1989, 1999; Zhao and Weng, 1996, 1997), is implemented into the finite element code ABAQUS to conduct the numerical analysis. The predictions are compared with experiments (Lessard and Chang, 1991) to verify the accuracy of the present analysis.

  • In the automatic transmission using planetary gear there exists nonlinearities due to the finite difference between gear ratios, which yield torque hole during shift and influence on the ride quality and life of clutch. Based on the reaction carrier and converter turbine speed sliding functions are defined. Nonlinear closed-loop control laws are derived using them. Computer simulation shows that the closed loop design is better than the open loop design and semi-closed loop design.

강관압입후 슬롯 홀을 갖는 비개착 터널공법의 현장적용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Sites Application of Non-open-cut Tunnel Method with Slot Holes in Steel Pipe Pumping)

  • In the study, a new non-open cut tunnel steel pipe method using slot hole has been developed. As is overcomes shortcomings of conventional methods, it is applied to the field. The main concept of the new method is the steel pipe pumping system with slot holes which, by means of formation slot holes between each steel pipe, applied to the magnitude of the relaxed earth pressure caused by excavation to the ground to prevent ground displacement. The stability of the support members and effect of displacement control of the new method were verified through several ways as numerical analysis and site test. The new method was applied to the construction of a 11.5m wide, 7.4m high and 50m long section that passes side subway and large buildings in inner city. By applying the new method, tunnel construction was successfully completed in 6 months. It decreases the construction period to 30% compared to that of conventional methods, and ground was almost negligible.

전산유체역학을 이용한 워터펌프 축력 저감 (Reduction of the Axial Force of Water Pump Using CFD)

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method has been used to investigate the axial force of automotive water pump. As the excessive axial force can make some unexpected problems like impeller interference and coolant leakage we have focused on finding the cause of axial force and its reduction in this paper. First, we have tested the closed type water pump with and without balance hole by the calculation methods. By examining the pressure contour around the impeller, we have found that the axial force arises not only from the pressure difference around shroud but also from the pressure difference around hub. So we have tested two impellers - one is normal open type impeller and the other is open type impeller with modified hub. The results show that the axial force reduction is about 150~200N for normal one and 700N@3000RPM for modified impeller. And the hydraulic efficiency which is important in aspect of engine fuel efficiency is reduced about 6.5% for normal one but increased 4%@3000RPM for modified impeller.
