The metallization is the key to determining cell costs, cell performance, and system reliability. Screen printing technology suffers from several limitations affecting mainly the front grid. The buried contact solar cell (BCSC) was specifically desinged to be compatible with low cost, mass production techniques and avoid the conventional metallization problem. By using electroless plating technique, we performed this metallization inexpensively and reliably. This paper presents the details of the optimization procedure of metallization schemes on laser grooved cell surfaces. Commercially available Ni, Cu and Ag plating solutions were applied for the cell metallization. The application of those solutions on the buried contact front metallization has resulted in an cell efficiency of 18.8%. The cell parameters are an open circuit voltage of 651 mV, short circuit current density of 37.1 mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$, and fill factor of 77.8 %. The efficiency of over 18 % was achieved in the above 90% of the batch.

Recently, floating green algae (FGA) in open oceans and coastal waters have been reported over wide area, yet accurate detection of these using traditional ground based measurement and chemical analysis in the laboratory has been difficult or even impossible due to the lack of spatial resolution, coverage, and revisit frequency. In contrast, spectral reflectance measurement makes it possible to quickly assess the chlorophyll content in green algae. Our objectives are to investigate the spectral reflectance of the FGA observed in the Yellow Sea and to develop a new index to detect FGA from satellite imagery, namely floating green algae index (FGAI), which uses relatively simple reflectance ratio technique. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) and Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI) satellite images at 500m spatial resolution were utilized to produce FGAI which is defined as the ratio between reflectance at 860nm and 660nm bands. Both FGAI results yielded reasonable green algae detection at the regional scale distribution. Especially houly GOCI observations can present more detaield information of FGAI than low-orbit satellite.
Inter-granular Bright Points (igBPs) are small-scale objects in the Solar photosphere which can be seen within dark inter-granular lanes. We present a new algorithm to automatically detect and extract igBPs. Laplacian and Morphological Dilation (LMD) technique is employed by the algorithm. It involves three basic processing steps: (1) obtaining candidate "seed" regions by Laplacian; (2) determining the boundary and size of igBPs by morphological dilation; (3) discarding brighter granules by a probability criterion. For validating our algorithm, we used the observed samples of the Dutch Open Telescope (DOT), collected on April 12, 2007. They contain 180 high-resolution images, and each has a $85{\times}68\;arcsec^2$ field of view (FOV). Two important results are obtained: first, the identified rate of igBPs reaches 95% and is higher than previous results; second, the diameter distribution is $220{\pm}25km$, which is fully consistent with previously published data. We conclude that the presented algorithm can detect and extract igBPs automatically and effectively.
Recently the instantaneous center concept has been to understand the biomechanics by which a tissue derangement causes a mechanical derangement in human joint. Therefore, to understand the biomechanics of temporomandibular joint (T.M.J.) as a part of human joint, it is necessary to clarify the instantaneous center of rotation (I.C.R.) in the mandibular movement. Twenty male subjects without T.M.J. disorder and mandibular deviation during the mandibular movement were selected for this study. The habitual opening and closing paths were recorded on the paper of the sagittal metal plate by two pencil markers connected to the resin open clutch attached on the lower teeth, which was designed for this study. The coordinates of the 33-target points and the 109-anatomical landmarks were obtained using a Summagraphic digitizer connected to a 18AT computer. The original raw data of the opening and closing paths were smoothed by B-spline curve fitting technique and then the I.C.R. pathways were determined mathematically by the computer using algorithm for finding the I.C.R. of a planer rigid body model. Also the opening and closing movements of the mandible were simulated according to the determined I.C.R. The results obtained from this study were as follows. 1. At the early opening and the last closing, I.C.R's were almost distributed around the mastoid process outside the mandibular body without the presence in the region of the mandibular condyle. 2. The I.C.R. pathway showed variable patterns to each subject at the opening and closing movements. 3. The K constant with uniform pattern was obtained by the rotation angle times the radius, which was assumed to the index of the mandibular movement. 4. The opening and closing movements of the mandible were simulated by the I.C.R. pathways at the habitual opening and closing movements. 5. The mandibular condyle was rotated or translated accordng to the relative rotation angle and radius of the determinant factors of K contant.
The literature regarding the free vibration analysis of Bernoulli-Euler and Timoshenko beams on elastic soil is plenty, but the free vibration analysis of Reddy-Bickford beams on elastic soil with/without axial force effect using the Differential Transform Method (DTM) has not been investigated by any of the studies in open literature so far. In this study, the free vibration analysis of axially loaded Reddy-Bickford beam on elastic soil is carried out by using DTM. The model has six degrees of freedom at the two ends, one transverse displacement and two rotations, and the end forces are a shear force and two end moments in this study. The governing differential equations of motion of the rectangular beam in free vibration are derived using Hamilton's principle and considering rotatory inertia. Parameters for the relative stiffness, stiffness ratio and nondimensionalized multiplication factor for the axial compressive force are incorporated into the equations of motion in order to investigate their effects on the natural frequencies. At first, the terms are found directly from the analytical solutions of the differential equations that describe the deformations of the cross-section according to the high-order theory. After the analytical solution, an efficient and easy mathematical technique called DTM is used to solve the governing differential equations of the motion. The calculated natural frequencies of one end fixed and the other end simply supported Reddy-Bickford beam on elastic soil using DTM are tabulated in several tables and figures and are compared with the results of the analytical solution where a very good agreement is observed and the mode shapes are presented in graphs.
As smartphone users have increased in recent years, various applications have been developed and used especially for Android-based mobile devices. However, malicious applications developed by attackers for malicious purposes are also distributed through 3rd party open markets, and damage such as leakage of personal information or financial information of users in mobile terminals is continuously increasing. Therefore, to prevent this, a method is needed to distinguish malicious apps from normal apps for Android-based mobile terminal users. In this paper, we analyze the existing researches that detect malicious apps by extracting the system call events that occur when the app is executed. Based on this, we propose a technique to identify malicious apps by analyzing the sequence similarity of kernel layer events occurring in the process of running an app on commercial Android mobile devices.

This paper proposes transmit power control techniques with fading channel prediction scheme based on recurrent neural network for high-speed mobile communication systems. The operation result of recurrent neural network which is derived interpretively solves complexity problems of neural network circuit, and channel gain of multiple transmit antenna is derived with maximum ratio combining(MRC) by using the operation result, and this channel gain control transmit power of each antenna. simulation results show that proposed method has a outstanding performance compared to method that is not to be controlled power based on channel prediction. Most of legacy studies are for robust receive technique of fading signals or channel prediction of fading signals limited low-speed mobility, but in open loop Power control, proposed channel prediction method decrease system complexity with removal of fading effect in transmitter.
It shows 21st century as a networking society that is moving up the concept of global town and being industrialized with regional and personal connections. Multi-phase machines can be used in variable speed drives. Their applications include electric ship propulsion, 'more-electric aircraft' and traction applications, electric vehicles, and hybrid electric vehicles. Multi-phase machines enable independent control of a few numbers of machines that are connected in series in a particular manner with their supply being fed from a single voltage source inverter(VSI). The idea was first implemented for a five-phase series-connected two-motor drive system, but is now applicable to any number of phases more than or equal to five-phase. The number of series-connected machines is a function of the phase number of VSI. Theoretical and simulation studies have already been reported for number of multi-phase multi-motor drive configurations of series-connection type. Variable speed induction motor drives without mechanical speed sensors at the motor shaft have the attractions of low cost and high reliability. To replace the sensor, information concerning the rotor speed is extracted from measured stator currents and voltages at motor terminals. Open-loop estimators or closed-loop observers are used for this purpose. They differ with respect to accuracy, robustness, and sensitivity against model parameter variations. This paper analyses operation of an MRAS estimator based sensorless control of a vector controlled series-connected two-motor five-phase drive system with current control in the stationary reference frame. Results, obtained with fixed-voltage, fixed-frequency supply, and hysteresis current control are presented for various operating conditions on the basis of simulation results. The purpose of this paper is to report the first ever simulation results on a sensorless control of a five-phase two-motor series-connected drive system. The operating principle is given followed by a description of the sensorless technique.

In this paper, a high efficiency leakage transformer for neon tube is developed to improve its power factor, to reduce its core loss and weight by using a technique of shape optimization and grain direction of non-oriented silicon steel strip. A protection circuit is designed for all types of neon transformer loaded with one or more neon tubes. Whenever the neon tube fails to be started up or comes to the life end, or encounters faults with open-circuits at the output terminals of the neon transformer, the electronic type protection circuit will be initiated to avoid more critical hazards. These neon transformers need a electronic type protection circuit to prevent from current stresses on circuit components by neon tube fail. The input of the transformer is automatically cut on when the abnormal condition occurs, preventing waste of no-load power.
