The purpose of this study is to scrutinize the effect of office layouts and ambient office sounds on the performance of office workers involved with a proof-reading test (simple task). Twenty subjects, who were professional researchers and computer programmers, were from three different office layouts: 1) Nine subjects from a combined office type with open meeting places and closed individual offices; 2) five from an open office with rectangular individual workstations, and 3) six from an open office with triangular individual workstations. Architects and consultants working in the field of office have reported from interviews and their own observations that occupants' satisfaction differs as their office layouts vary although the sizes are the same. This finding leads to the hypothesis of this experiment. Proof-reading test results were obtained from three different office layouts (combined office type, rectangular and triangular individual workstations in open offices) under two different sound conditions (quiet background sound and ambient sound of their own workplace) for 10 minutes. The test analysis shows the mean test score of subjects from the triangular individual workstations in open offices is significantly different from the mean test scores of subjects from the combined office type and the rectangular individual workstations in open offices.

Electronic voting is one of information technology service to handle a wide range of functions, including registration, certification, input and results of voting, using electronic technology, depending on the degree of automation. It helps voters exercise their voting rights not only for individual suffrage but also for major corporate decisions as shareholders by expressing their opinions regardless of geographical and time constraints. Such electronic voting helps open and expand voting participation, but on the contrary, it is possible to identify who voted and what kind of vote, such voting cannot guarantee confidentiality. Therefore, if blockchain technology is applied to electronic voting, it can increase the speed of processing and confidentiality by encrypting voting information. In this regard, the study aims to identify institutional issues on how electronic voting can be activated at a company's shareholders' meeting, and to find ways to overcome the limitations of existing electronic voting by utilizing the technical characteristics of blockchain. This study proposes a consortium-type blockchain-based electronic voting system to enhance the convenience and reliability of electronic voting for shareholders' meetings. In addition, this paper suggests how to enhance shareholders' profits through electronic voting at shareholders' meetings, as well as its policy measures and future improvements.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the utilization of the interior environment in hotel lobby and to grasp the requests of visitors. The significance of the study is to illustrate the present characters of hotel lobby and to offer the basic data for future hotel projects. The materials for this study has been collected through questionnaires garnered from six deluxe hotels in Cheju, and statistically analyzed by the semantic differential scale of L. E. Osgood. The conclusion of this study as follows . 1) Hotel lobby is used as waiting space for a short time and frequent use is four times a day. The lobby is used by the quest for meeting , waiting as a resting place while it serves as the visitor's meeting and resting place. 2) The user prefers the lobby's open space. It is desirable for the area of activity of a quests and visitors to have separate entrances. The space composition of the lobby is centrally located between the room and subsidiary equipment. The hotel lobby has needed of a method which promotes lobby image through a magnificent view of the outside.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the usage characteristics and the role of spatial and social psychology of open spaces in urban neighborhoods. The survey for this study was conducted on 318 residents in Gyungsan. For analysis, the frequencies and means were calculated, the chi-square test, t-test, and analysis of variance were performed. Survey results revealed that, first, not only the preferred open space type but also the usage characteristics by gender were different. The tendency for males was to visit open spaces to exercise and to stay for longer than one hour. However, the females visited open spaces to care for their children and meet friends or neighbors. They also visited more often than males but stayed for a shorter time. Second, females tended to consider the open space as a place for rest and leisure. Females valued the social psychology aspects of the open space function. Third, regarding the spacial role of open space in urban neighborhoods, study participants believed that the waterside parks improve the quality of life, but were concerned for the safety of children. Considering the social psychology role of open spaces, study participants regarded the waterside parks as improving emotional health. Particularly, they believed the waterside parks played a greater role in daily life as a place for meeting, resting, and leisure than other open space types such as playground, children's parks, and sport parks.

올해 말로 파병기간이 마무리되는 우리나라는 3월 핵안보정상회담, 5월 EXPO개막 및 총선, 대선의 선거철을 맞이하게 된다. 따라서 탈레반의 테러를 통한 철군여론조성전략에 우리나라가 선택될 가능성이 높다. 이는 탈레반 테러홍보전략과 부합하며 과거 사례에 따른 학습효과이다. 이에 따른 탈레반 테러위협의 가능성을 요약한다면 위협의 시기는 우리나라에서 핵안보정상회담과 EXPO가 개막되는 상반기에 집중 고조될 것이며, 대상과 방법은 국내 정부기관이나 미국시설물 등에 대한 자살폭탄, 폭탄적재차량의 추돌 테러 가능성과 국외 관광객, 선교사 등 우리 국민에 대한 납치행위가 자행될 가능성이 높다. 범행에 가담할 테러 조직으로는 국내에 이미 거점을 확보한 이슬람 불법체류자들 이용하거나 알카에다와 연결된 전문 테러리스트의 입국 공작이 우려된다. 이러한 테러의 명분은 아프가니스탄 주둔 우리군 및 서방 동맹군의 철수일 것이다. 따라서 올 전반기 세계핵안보정상회담, 여수EXPO 등 국제행사의 안전대책과 해외 체류 내국인에 대한 탈레반의 홍보성 테러에 철저하게 대비하여야 하며, 국내 불법체류외국인의 동향 파악과 탈레반 관련 국제테러리스트의 국내 잠입의 차단책을 강구하여야 한다. 또한 아프가니스탄 주둔 우리 군에 대한 정부의 정책적 의지를 조기 표명할 필요가 있다.

This study analyzes the global literature on the black open-access phenomenon from 2011 to 2023. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using the Scopus database. The search strategy employed advanced queries with multiple synonymous terms to ensure exhaustive retrieval of relevant documents. The VOSviewer software was employed to visualize the co-occurrence networks. The findings reported 90 papers published during the study period. An evolving scholarly landscape was revealed, with heightened attention from 2016 onwards, peaking in 2017, 2021, and 2023. Articles constitute 83.3% of the total published documents. Singh and Srichandan are prolific authors, with 11.2% of the total publications. The United States contributes 18.9% of the papers, followed by India and Spain. Information Development and Scientometrics are pivotal journals in scholarly discussions about this scope, contributing 4.4% of publications. Co-occurrence network visualization revealed "Sci-Hub" and "open access" as the most used keywords in the global literature. The findings underscore the need for additional research to discover innovative business models to safeguard intellectual property rights while meeting researchers' evolving needs. The importance of this paper comes from being the first bibliometric study analyzing international literature related to this phenomenon, which provides a basis for future research efforts and policymaking.

최근 보안에 대한 관심과 필요성이 증가하면서 출입자 인식 시스템의 수요가 증대되고 있다. 출입자 인식 시스템은 출입자를 인식하기 위해서 다양한 생체인식 방법을 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 특성과 강점을 가진 다수의 얼굴인식 Open API 서비스를 통합하고, 그 인식결과를 앙상블 함으로써 인식 성능을 개선하는 얼굴인식 기반 출입자 인식 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 다양한 얼굴 인식 Open API 서비스를 앙상블 하는 출입자 인식 시스템의 구조를 제안한다. 성능 측정은 약 5개월 간 수집한 얼굴 데이터를 이용하여 수행하였으며, 측정결과로 본 논문에서 제안하는 출입자 인식 시스템이 단일 얼굴인식 Open API 서비스를 사용했을 때보다 더 높은 얼굴인식률을 보임을 확인하였다.

In scheduling open-field type FMS, process planning of decision making between alternate machines is taken into consideration. This idea is validated via implementing two experimental systems; One is a knowledge-based system and the other is to solve a Constraint Satisfaction Problem. The former generates some promising schedules in view of improving machine utilization, makespan and meanflow time, and the latter does in view of meeting due date.

Serving as a strategic crossing point for major corridors in Central Europe, Railnet Austria's Infrastructure Network incurs continual increases in international traffic flows and is therefore subject to accumulating traffic congestion with potential restrictions to infrastructure access. This imposes challenges towards preserving open access to Railnet Austria's existing railway network and hinders quality infrastructure service during maintenance, repair, and upgrading. Through Railnet Austria's experiences, the economic viability of a railway network can be sustained through maintaining open access with good quality service of planned trainpaths, thus representing new challenges for future infrastructure maintenance and capacity planning. Railnet Austria's Capacity Management Department has proven that these challenges can be accommodated more effectively through recent technological developments in data warehousing and software development.
