  • The spherical CVT, intended to overcome some of the limitations of existing CVT designs, is marked by its simple kinematic design, improved efficiency of the shift actuator, and IVT characteristics, i.e., the ability of smooth transition between the forward, neutral, and reverse states without the need for any brakes or clutches. And it has been promised much possibility of energy savings and various applications for small power capacity machinery. Due to the nonlinearity of the spherical CVT shifting dynamics, however the original open-loop system is inherently unstable. Hence a feedback controller is necessary to make the system stable and to achieve effective tracking performance. To do this, we designed a feedback controller that cancels nonlinearities and transforms the original nonlinear system dynamics into a stable and controllable linear one, based on the input-state linearization method.

  • This paper presents a vibration-rejection control design for a magnetic suspension system which has strong non-linearity, open-loop unstable characteristics, high-order flexible modes, and parameter variations. The target plant to be controlled consists of a U-core electromagnet and a flexible rail. We describe the test rig and formulate the mathematical model and then we set up a control problem as the mixed sensitivity problem where the augmented plant is constructed with frequency weighting functions and the feedback controller is designed by using the H$\infty$ controller. The effectiveness of the designed controller for the magnetic suspension system with high-order flexible modes is validated and justified using several simulations. HST용 유압폄프.모터의 압력맥동 저감 특성 (Pressure Ripple Reduction of Hydraulic Pump-Motor in HST)

  • This paper deals with pressure ripple and noise reduction characteristics for a hydrostatic transmission(HST) consisting of a variable axial piston pump connected in an open loop to a fixed displacement axial piston motor. Pressure ripples in HST is major source of vibration, which can lead to fatigue failure of components and cause noise. In order to reduce the pressure ripple, an annular tube type hydraulic filter proposes to absorb pressure ripples with the high frequencies components to achieve better noise attenuation in HST. The basic principle tube is applied to propagation of pressure wave, reflection, absorption in cross section of discontinuity and resonance in the hydraulic pipeline. It is experimently confirmed that a hydraulic filter is absorbed to be about 30∼40dB of pressure ripple with high frequencies. These results will assist in modeling and design of noise reduction in hydraulic control systems, and here, should provide a means of designing a quieter HST.

구형 공진기와 계단 임피던스 개방 스터브를 사용한 고효율 광대역 대역 통과 필터 특성 (Characteristics for High Efficiency and Wideband Band Pass Filter Using Rectangular Resonator and Step-Impedance-Open-Stubs)

  • 본 논문에서는 구형 공진기와 SIOS(Step-Impedance-Open-Stub)를 사용하여 삽입 손실이 적고, 차단 특성이 아주 좁고, 광대역 특성을 갖는 대역 통과 필터를 연구하였다. SIOS는 일반 $0.25\;{\lambda}$ 개방 스터브보다 약 30 %의 길이를 줄일 수 있고, 또한, SIOS의 길이에 따라 임피던스 값을 조정함으로써 필터의 특성 개선에 적용할 수 있다. 본 논문의 객관성을 입증하기 위해서 이중 모드 구형 공진기를 사용한 최적화된 광대역 대역 통과 필터를 구현하였다. 전송 선로 모델을 사용하여 계산한 주파수 특성 결과는 실험값과 아주 잘 일치하였다. 본 논문에서 구현된 필터의 주파수 특성은 필터의 3 dB 대역폭은 51.75 %(3.206 GHz)이고, 삽입 손실은 0.44 dB, 30 dB 차단 특성은 저 주파수 대역에서 221 MHz($4.326{\sim}4.587\;GHz$), 고주파수 대역에서 181 MHz($7.739{\sim}7.954\;GHz$)이다. 최대 차단 특성은 저주파 대역에서 -61.8 dB, 고주파 대역에서 -76.3 dB이다.

고효율 광대역 마이크로스트립 대역통과필터 특성 (Characteristics of High Efficiency Wideband Microstrip Band Pass Filter)

  • 본 논문에서는 구형공진기와 SIOS를 사용하여 삽입손실이 작고, 차단특성이 아주 좁고, 광대역 특성을 갖는 마이크로스트립 대역통과필터를 연구하였다. 계단 입피던스 스터브는 일반$0.25{\lambda}$ 스터브 보다 약 30%의 길이를 줄일 수 있고, 또한 스터브의 임피던스의 크기를 변경할 수 있는 장점이 있음으로 필터의 특성 개선에 적용할 수 있다. 본 논문의 객관성을 입증하기 위해서 이중모드 구형공진기를 사용한 최적화된 광대역 대역통과 필터를 구현하였다. 전송선로 모델을 사용하여 계산한 주파수 특성 결과는 실험 값과 아주 잘 일치하였다. 구현된 필터의 주파수 특성은 $L_4$ = 1.94mm인 경우에 필터의 3dB 대역폭은 52.5%(3.267GHz)이고, 삽입 손실은 0.33dB, 30dB 차단특성은 저주파수 대역에서 221MHz, 고주파수대역에서 0.181MHz이다. 최대 차단특성은 저주파 대역에서 -54dB, 고주파 대역에서 -60dB이다.

  • Linear pulse Motors(LPM) are widely used in fields where smooth linear motion is required, and their position accuracy is higher than other motors. Hybrid linear pulse motors(HLPM) are regarded as an excellent solution to positioning problems that require high accuracy, rapid acceleration and high-speed. The LPM has low mechanical complexity, high reliability, precise open-loop operation and low inertia etc. in many application areas such as factory automation speed positioning, computer peripherals and numerically controlled machine tools. This motor drive system is especially suitable for machine tools the high position accuracy and repeatability. This paper describes about that need of the embroider machine, we want to design position-scanning device for the embroidery machine. At first, to be analysed characteristics of the machine and next designed the LPM. we used the field analysis program, The finite element method(FEM) program tool is employed for calculation the force. The reluctance models will be used the magnetic permeance of air gap by static- conditions. The forces between forcer and platen have been calculated using the virtual work method.

  • In the present study, a feasibility study on an innovative satellite attitude control actuator is performed. The actuator is specially designed to generate the reaction torque in an arbitrary axis, so that a satellite attitude can be controlled by using itself. It consists of a spherical flywheel and electromagnets for levitation and rotation control of the ball. As the earlier study, a rotating performance test on the spherical actuator is conducted in a single rotating axis and vertical levitation condition. From the test results, it can be confirmed that the maximum speed and torque of the innovative device are 7,200rpm and 0.7Nm, respectively. Using torque-voltage characteristics of the spherical motor, an open-loop control (V/f constant control) is performed, and the test results show excellent control performance in acceleration and deceleration phases.

건설차량용 자동변속기의 변속제어기 개발연구 (A Research on Shifting Controller Development of a Automatic Transmission far Construction Vehicles)

  • In this research, a transmission control unit was developed for a wheel loader on the basis of 16-bit microcontroller system. The TCU has the basic functions which include shifting control algorithm, actuation of six proportional solenoid valves, signal conditioning for four speed sensors, remote data monitoring capability with RF-module and duty cycle identification system which could identify the duty cycles from PWM signals. In order to design the control system, the overall transmission structure of the wheel loader was investigated and its characteristics of shifting were analyzed in advance. For the purpose of identifying the existing control algorithm and acquire some information about the shifting performance, the shifting experiments were performed for various shifting conditions with the conventional TCU. From the previous work on the conventional TCU, the shifting scheme was designed with the open-loop control which is based on the experimental data only to verify the feasibility of the developing TCU's shilling capability. The experimental results show comparable shifting characteristics to that of conventional TCU though the tests were performed at restricted shilling conditions. Hence, we could have the confidence for the development of the wheel loader automatic transmission TCU and its shifting quality could be improved with the adoption of appropriate feedback control scheme.

  • 피드포워드 증폭기는 선형화 성능이 우수하고 선형화 대역폭이 넓은 장점이 있다. 그러나 피드포워드 증폭기는 다양한 소자들로 구성되는 개루프 시스템이기 때문에 주변 환경의 변화에 의해서 성능 저하가 일어나기 쉽다. 따라서 피드포워드 증폭기가 허용하는 범위 내에서 원하는 성능을 유지하기 위해서는 선형화 루프의 이득과 위상을 조정하기 위한 제어 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 steepest descent 알고리즘을 이용한 새로운 적응형 제어 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방법은 기존의 제어 방법에 비해 수렴 속도가 빠르고 구현하기가 쉬운 장점이 있음을 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인하였다.

학습제어를 이용한 지게차 자동변속기 상향 변속품질 개선 (An Upshift Improvement in the Quality of Forklift's Automatic Transmission by Learning Control)

  • Recently, automatic transmissions caused a good improvement in the shift quality of a forklift. An advanced shift control algorithm, which was based on TCU firmware, was applied with embedded control technology and microcontrollers. In the clutch-to-clutch shifting, one friction element is released and the other friction element is activated. During this process, if the release and application timings are not synchronized, an overrun or tie-up occurs and ultimately leads to a shift shock. The TCU, which measures only the speed of the forklift, inevitably applies the open-loop shift control. In this situation, the speed ratio does not change during the clutch fill. The torque phase occurs until the clutch is disengaged. In this study, an offline shift logic of the learning control was proposed. It induced a synchronous shift when the learning control progressed. During this process, the reference current trajectory of the release clutch was corrected and applied to the next upshift. We considered the results of the overrun/tie-up characteristics of the upshift performed immediately before. The vehicle test proved that the deviation in shift quality, which was caused by the difference in the mechanical characteristics of the clutch, could be improved by the learning control.
