A study examined the causal effects of online social self-efficacy on online game life satisfaction. A total of 1,754 Korean online game users who play 'Goon-Zu' completed a questionnaire developed by the present researchers. The results were as follows. First, there was a significant positive correlation among online social self-efficacy, social support from online game community, online relation satisfaction, and achievement satisfaction in online games. Second, it was found that the partial mediation model explained the data better than the full mediation model.
The present study was implemented to understand high school girls' buying patterns of fashion products at online and offline shopping malls; and to obtain the information needed for the development of online and offline mall marketing strategies that are differentiated from each other. The study was conducted through a descriptive survey method using questionnaires. The sample consisted of 242 girls from four high schools located in Seoul. Descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation and a paired t-test were used for the analysis of the data. Results are as follows: First, most of the high school girls (82.2%) had experience of purchasing fashion products at online shopping malls. And, those who have purchasing experience at online shopping malls, compared to those who do not have such purchasing experience, showed a higher purchasing intension at online shopping malls. Second, both the degree of pre-purchase searching and ongoing searching was higher in online shopping than in offline shopping. Third, the quality of material, place produced, brand name, and store atmosphere/type were considered more in offline shopping than in online shopping. Shopping convenience and information service about the products were considered more in online shopping than in offline shopping. Fourth, the purchasing frequency of underwear and hair accessaries was higher at offline stores than online shopping malls, but the purchasing frequency of bags was higher in online stores than offline stores. When the differences between the purchasing patterns at online shopping malls and offline stores are considered carefully, marketing activities would be more effective.
Purpose: The distribution of goods and the flow of information, determined by consumer behavior toward online shopping, is drastically popular worldwide. This study examines some factors such as brand trust, online sales promotion, consumer personality, delivery service, quality assurance, information search, and online consumer satisfaction influence online shopping behavior. Research design, data, and methodology: A constructed questionnaire in an online survey was conducted with 241 random cluster respondents in the greater Jakarta Area. Structure equation model was utilized to analyze and verify all the data. Results: Research finding indicates online sales promotion, delivery service, quality assurance, and online consumer satisfaction positively influence information search. Meanwhile, brand trust, quality assurance, and information search positively influence online shopping behavior. However, the result illustrates that consumer personality negatively influences both information search and online shopping behavior. Conclusions: To influence online shopping behavior, the most important factors that need to be considered by marketplaces are quality assurance. It positively motivates Indonesia's citizens to collect information and make unplanned purchases. The study finding can be a reference for brands to maintain and build outstanding product quality, an informational website, and an excellent marketing strategy so that customers can meet their expectations. Besides, it also broadens both companies' and individuals' knowledge about the digital revolution on consumer behavior.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze Korean sports consumers' intention to stay using online sports products and services through online sports distribution platforms or return to using sports facilities and services in person. Research design, data and methodology: This study set up two models measuring consumers' recognition, attitude, and purchase intention toward online sports products and services based on involvement theory. An online survey was conducted and a total of 2,263 consumers participated in this study. Male participants were 1,256(55.5%) and female participants were 1,007(44.5%). Descriptive statistics were performed, and a path analysis was utilized to analyze the proposed model using SPSS 26 and SAS. Results: The results revealed two proposed models used in this study supported that consumers' online sports product and service recognition leads to a positive attitude toward online sports products and services. Moreover, consumers' positive online sports product and service attitudes were shown to lead to positive intentions to purchase online sports products and services. Conclusions: The findings revealed the recognition of consumers' online sports products and services led to positive attitudes and behavioral intentions. Implications were provided by suggesting the sports industry stick to developing online sports products and services until the endemic of COVID-19 is declared.
This study was to investigate the operation status and the students' perception for both theory-focused and practice-focused online class in engineering college that were implemented in responses to COVID-19. For this purpose of the study, the survey including the open-ended questions were conducted to the 147 students in college of engineering in 2021 at one of the universities located in the metropolitan area. The survey were analyzed by SPSS 26.0 and then findings were as follows. First, while the most students were satisfied with the operation of online classes that were implemented in response to COVID-19, many students were unsatisfied with the practice-focused online class. Also, there were some differences in the level of students' satisfaction for some factors of online class operation in terms of the students' background. Second, there were significant differences in some parts of students' satisfaction in terms of the background of students. specifically, males students were more satisfied with the supports of teaching assistant in online classes than female students and the junior and senior levels of students are more satisfied with the teaching strategies of online classes than freshman and sophomore year students. Third, the level of students' satisfaction was different in terms of the types of online platforms as well as the methods of communication between students and professors. Finally, even though the students in the college of engineering understand the benefits in the online classes, they indicated the limitations and difficulties for participating in practice-focused online class and demanded the improvement of the operation for the online lab classes. The further research needs to be conducted to investigate the status of operation for online lab and practice classes in college of engineering.

The development of IT is transforming from the way it has been working face-to-face in performing projects to the online collaboration method using web-based tools. Therefore, various online collaboration tools are being developed and commercialized, including 'Google Docs', which is called the online office. Using these online collaboration tools, users can share documents with other users and collaborate in real time. Therefore, in recent years, companies and educational institutions have been using online collaboration tools to carry out tasks and projects that require collaboration. Various factors can affect the project performance satisfaction through online collaboration tools. In this regard, it is necessary to confirm the factors affecting the satisfaction of the project performance. However, there is not enough empirical research on the satisfaction of the performance through the online collaboration tool. Therefore, this study will investigate the mechanism of project performance satisfaction through online collaboration tool considering the Individual characteristics of the project performing subject, the relationship characteristics between the project members, and the system characteristics of the collaboration tool.
This study examines the impact of online collaborative English language learning to enhance learner motivation and classroom engagement in university English instruction. The role of learner motivation and classroom engagement has gained much attention under the premises of current constructivist framework of English as a foreign language education. To promote learner motivation and classroom interaction in English instruction, participants in this study engaged in integrative English learning activities through online group collaboration and peer-tutoring. They exchanged productive peer response and shared their learning experiences throughout the integrative English learning activities. Digital technology played an integral role in motivating the learning process of the participants. Data for this study were gathered through an online questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed based on the ARCS motivational model of instructional design to identify the motivational aspects of integrative English learning activities. This study reveals that participants of this study regarded online collaborative English learning activities as the positive and motivating learning experience. The online collaborative English reading instruction had positive effect on improving EFL university students' learning performance. Participants of this study also identified affective and metacognitive benefits of online collaborative EFL learning activities for learner motivation and classroom engagement. This study reveals that the social networking platform in online group collaboration played a crucial role for the participants in understanding the integration of online group collaboration as the positive and effective language learning strategy. This study may have implications in suggesting the effective instructional design for promoting learner motivation and classroom interaction in EFL education.
Purpose -This study was based on the TAM and the trust of Bangladeshi in social impact, privacy and security, compatibility, perceived-ease of use, and perceived-usefulness. The purpose of this study is to investigate how these variables affect the acceptance of online banking. Research design, data, and methodology - Internet survey was conducted for individuals who had experience in using the online banking service, and those who have no experience in online banking were excluded from the analysis. The questionnaire was distributed to Bangladesh respectively, and data were collected. Result - Trust is the variable that has the greatest influence on the adaption of online banking service. Perceived-usefulness was found to have a important effect on individuals' behavioral-intention towards the adopting of online Banking services in Bangladesh. It was also found that compatibility, privacy and security were important predictors. Conclusion - The TAM model, which explains individual behavioral intentions toward adopting online banking services in Bangladesh, is sufficiently applicable. Perceived ease of use found an important predictor of trust. Evidently, the current conclusions provide empirical evidence that customers would be more willing to adopt online banking services if they find it useful and reliable. Another very important constructive correlation between trust and perceived-usefulness, suggesting that consumers who realize that online banking is safe and useful.
Online and offline are not separate worlds, especially for adolescents. Many friends in offline settings originally met each other online, but cross-domain influences have rarely been examined. This study aims to examine how much time adolescents spend with peers in online and offline settings, and how time spent with peers influences their online and offline delinquent behaviors during their middle school years. This study used data from the Korean Children & Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS). We focused on students for whom information was available from all three years of middle school. We used a cross-lagged panel model to examine the bi-directional effect of online and offline behaviors over time. Results show that more time spent with peers offline was associated with more offline delinquency, and more time spent with peers online was associated with more online delinquency. Cross-domain influences were also found: more time with peers offline increased online delinquency, and vice versa. However, this adverse cross-domain influence was observed only for male adolescents, not for female adolescents. Implications for intervention programs are discussed for male and female adolescents.
Purpose: Purchasing food via online shopping channels is booming during Covid-19 Pandemic in Vietnam. However, the perceived risks of food bought via online shopping channels may discourage consumers. Hence, this study assesses the effects of perceived risks on food purchase intention via online shopping channels in Vietnam. Research design, data and methodology: This study applied the multiple regression analysis with 253 samples collected from consumers who frequently purchase food via online shopping channels in Vietnam. The questionnaire is provided to respondents via Google Form. The sample collection method is convenience sampling. Three hundred samples were collected, but 253 samples are used after filtering the responses with missing data. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and regression analysis are used for data analysis on SPSS software version 20. Results: The results show that product risk, security risk, time risk, and fraud risk of the seller negatively affect the intention to buy food via online shopping channels in Vietnam. Conclusions: The study provides several implications and recommendations for food companies and online food sellers. Reducing customers' perceived risks online food makes customers more willing to buy food online during Covid-19 Pandemic. Limitations and suggestions for further research are also discussed.
