To investigate how the online searching was taught in the departments of Library and Information Science, a survey was done to the professors teaching information retrieval course. Questionnaires were mailed to 32 professors and 26 returned. Information retrieval course, one of the central course attended by almost all of the students, covers online searching in depth. Lecture, hard-on practice, and homework were three favored methods of teaching. Among the 22 topics to be covered in online teaching, respondents showed substantially higher consensus except for sections of information technology and service management. However, respondents showed big differences in hours of hand-on practice and the systems used. Free databases through Internet used dominantly. The chronic problem of terminal and communication is solved by using campus-wide facilities. But the problem of teaching assistance is serious. Based on the results, recommendations to improve online searching education are provided.

본 연구는 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 일반 검색시스템과 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템을 구축하고 두 실험시스템의 사용성을 비교 평가하여 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템의 유용성을 밝히고자 하였다. 사용성은 전체적으로 온라인목록의 Open API 기반 일반 검색시스템 보다온라인목록의 Open API 기반 메타 검색시스템이 더 높게 나타났고, 통계적으로유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 국내 도서관들이 인터넷서점, 검색엔진, 웹포털 등에서 공개한 도서검색용 Open API를 통해 제공되는 풍부한 콘텐트를 온라인목록에서 공유하고 활용하면 서지데이터의 확충, 주제접근과 주제검색 능력의 확대, 메타 검색서비스의 확장, 소장도서의 이용가능성 증대, 목록비용의 절감 등에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

공공도서관은 코로나19 팬데믹 동안 오프라인 서비스의 대체재로 많은 양의 온라인콘텐츠를 생산하고 이용자에게 제공하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 포스트 팬데믹 시기인 지금에도 공공도서관에서 이루어지는 온라인콘텐츠의 전반적 관리현황을 분석하고, 관리방법을 개선하기 위한 방법적 토대를 제공하는 것이다. 이에, 본 연구는 서울·경기도 지역의 공공도서관 중 305개 도서관의 기관대표와 담당자에게 설문하여 온라인콘텐츠 생성, 서비스, 보존까지의 전반적 관리에 대한 실태를 파악하였고, 온라인콘텐츠 생산 및 관리에 대한 사서들의 인식을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 팬데믹 이후에도 공공도서관은 홍보 및 전달의 효율성을 가진 온라인콘텐츠를 생산하고 도서관 홈페이지와 소셜미디어를 통하여 활발히 제공하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 사서들은 공공도서관에서 생산된 온라인콘텐츠를 '도서관 자원으로서 가치'가 있다고 인식하고 있었으며 앞으로도 더 많이 생산될 것임을 예측하였지만, 전문가적 역량의 부재와 업무부담으로 생산과 관리에 어려움을 겪고 있음을 파악하였다. 장기적인 관점에서 사서들은 주요 온라인콘텐츠 관리가 이루어져야 함을 인지하고 있었다. 온라인콘텐츠는 공공도서관 서비스 패러다임의 전환을 이끌고 있고, 온라인콘텐츠의 활성화를 위한 관심과 노력이 공공도서관의 선택이 아닌 필수인 것이다.

본 연구에서는 온라인교육과 역량기반 교육을 중심으로 사서직 계속교육의 국내외 동향을 분석하였다. 현재 국내 사서 계속교육 프로그램의 70% 이상이 온라인교육방식으로 수행되고 있었고, 주로 온라인 코스웨어 형태의 표준화된 콘텐츠가 동영상으로 제작되어 반복 활용되고 있는 것으로 파악되었다. 반면, 미국과 호주에서는 주로 웨비나 등 쌍방향 커뮤니케이션이 가능한 이러닝 방식을 사용하여 도서관 안팎의 최신 이슈를 다양한 교육강좌로 구성한 비표준화된 콘텐츠가 활용되고 있었다. 또한 최근 주목할 동향으로 미국, 영국, 호주 등 해외에서 전문직 역량기준에 기반하여 계속교육을 제공하려는 시도들이 파악되었다. 따라서 국내에서도 기 개발된 사서직 역량기준들을 계속교육에 접목시킴으로써 체계적인 교육프로그램을 운영할 것이 요청된다. 본 연구에서 분석한 해외 모범사례들은 향후 국내 온라인 계속교육 프로그램을 현장의 계속교육 수요와 요구에 부응하며 현장사서들의 역량을 강화시키는 방향으로 개선하는데 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

This paper aims to implement a topic modeling technique for extracting the topics of online discussions among library professionals in India. Topic modeling is the established text mining technique popularly used for modeling text data from Twitter, Facebook, Yelp, and other social media platforms. The present study modeled the online discussions of Library and Information Science (LIS) professionals posted on Lis Links. The text data of these posts was extracted using a program written in R using the package "rvest." The data was pre-processed to remove blank posts, posts having text in non-English fonts, punctuation, URLs, emails, etc. Topic modeling with the Latent Dirichlet Allocation algorithm was applied to the pre-processed corpus to identify each topic associated with the posts. The frequency analysis of the occurrence of words in the text corpus was calculated. The results found that the most frequent words included: library, information, university, librarian, book, professional, science, research, paper, question, answer, and management. This shows that the LIS professionals actively discussed exams, research, and library operations on the forum of Lis Links. The study categorized the online discussions on Lis Links into ten topics, i.e. "LIS Recruitment," "LIS Issues," "Other Discussion," "LIS Education," "LIS Research," "LIS Exams," "General Information related to Library," "LIS Admission," "Library and Professional Activities," and "Information Communication Technology (ICT)." It was found that the majority of the posts belonged to "LIS Exam," followed by "Other Discussions" and "General Information related to the Library."

본 연구의 목적은 공공데이터 포털에 공개된 성남시 도서관 강좌정보 데이터를 토대로 코로나19 발생 이전과 이후 시점의 프로그램 개설 현황을 분석해 포스트 코로나에 대비한 프로그램 운영 방안을 제안하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 성남시에서 업로드한 파일의 중복 및 오류 데이터 정제 과정을 거쳐 정리한 1,317건의 데이터를 바탕으로 ①프로그램 주제 및 형태 구분, ②프로그램 대상 이용자 분포, ③프로그램 개설 형태(온라인/오프라인), ④프로그램 개설 시기 및 운영 일수, ⑤이용자들이 선호하는 프로그램의 특성에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 코로나19 이전에는 온라인 강좌가 개설된 바 없으나, 2020년 8월 이후부터 온라인 강좌가 본격적으로 개설되었다. 또한 2019년은 영유아 및 초등학생을 대상으로 한 체험활동 강좌가 많았으나 2020년은 성인과 초등학생을 대상으로 한 독서활동 강좌가 증가했다. 온라인 강좌 형태는 온라인 화상회의 프로그램을 이용한 실시간 강의, 유튜브 영상 시청 및 라이브 방송, 네이버 밴드 및 카페 활용 등으로 다양하게 나타났다.

본 연구의 목적은 저작권과 관련하여 디지털 도서관에서의 저작물의 전송 서비스를 활성화시키기 위한 방안을 제도적$.$기술적 측면에서 제시함으로써 디지털 도서관의 구축과 원문정보 제공 서비스를 촉진시키는데 있다. 이를 위하여 디지털 도서관의 정의, 특징 등을 고찰하였고 우리나라와 일본, 미국의 디지털 도서관의 정보서비스 현황을 검토하였다. 그리고 1999년 12월에 개정된 저작전법의 온라인 전송과 도서관 관련 규정을 살펴보았다. 끝으로 복사권 집중관리기구의 설립과 권리보호를 위한 기술조치의 도입 방안을 제시하였다.

The aim of this paper was to determine the utilization of online information resources by undergraduate students in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. It was undertaken specifically with the objectives of identifying the online information resources used; academic purposes for their use, extent, problems and strategies for improving the academic use of the resources by undergraduate students. Descriptive survey was used as the research design. The population of this study comprises of all 25,657 regular registered undergraduate students in University of Nigeria, Nsukka. The sample for this study comprises 2500 students which is 10% of the population. The results of the study shows that most of the online information resources are not used by the undergraduate students. Just a few of them are highly used. Some of the academic purposes for the use of the resources include to do course assignment and project works and to stay up-to-date on social events. The major problems responsible for the low utilisation of the resources include incessant power failure, limited available computers in the university library, and server's low bandwidth. Based on the findings, maintenance of uninterrupted power supply, provision of enough computers in the library; constant upgrade of server's bandwidth and many more were recommended as the strategies for improving the use of online information resources by undergraduate students in UNN. The implication of this study lies in the fact that solutions to the problems raised would be helpful to the university management, librarians and students in ensuring maximum and adequate provision and effective utilisation of online information a resources in the library.

도서관 이용자에게 장애가 없는 정보서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 OPAC의 접근성, 사용성 및 검색성을 향상시키고, 도서의 검색, 식별 및 브라우징의 도구로써 ISBN의 활용가치를 높이는 것이 필요하다. 북마크릿은 웹브라우저의 '즐겨찾기에 추가' 또는 '툴바'에 드래그하여 저장할 수 있는 작은 크기의 자바스크립트이다. 그리고 오픈소스인 북마크릿은 웹페이지에서 ISBN을 추출한 다음, 해당 ISBN으로 도서관의 OPAC에서 도서를 검색할 수 있는 간단하지만 강력한 검색도구이다. 해외의 도서관 시스템 벤더, 도서관, OCLC등은 이용자가 온라인서점의 웹페이지를 살펴보면서 동시에 도서관의 소장 및 대출 정보를 실시간으로 검색할 수 있는 북마크릿을 제공하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 해외에서 개발되어 활용되고 있는 네 가지 유형의 북마크릿에 대한 적용사례 분석을 통해 북마크릿의 특징과 장 단점을 정리하였다. 이를 통해서 북마크릿의 기본요건과 적용모델을 도출하고, 국내 도서관의 OPAC과 온라인서점에서 북마크릿을 활용한 Library Lookup 서비스 제공방안을 제안하였다.
