오프라인 프로그래밍을 이용한 스카라 로봇의 통합제어 시스템 설계 (Integrated Control System Design of SCARA Robot Based on Off-Line Programming)

  • We developed a Off-Line Graphic Simulator which can simulate a robot model in 3D graphics space in Windows 95 version. 4 axes SCARA robot was adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed program. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows 95's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D graphics.

  • 본 논문에서는 위상각 제어에서 주어진 턴온 각에서 최대의 토크를 유지하기 위한 적절한 턴오프 각을 자기동조방식(self-tuning method)에 의해 결정하는 방식을 제안하였다. 엔코더에 의해 샘플링 시간(sampling time)동안 구해진 펄스 수는 바로 이전의 샘플링시간 동안 구해진 펄스 수와 비교하여 턴오프 각을 앞으로 또는 뒤로 이동한다. 이러한 과정을 되풀이함으로서 최대 토크를 발생하는 턴오프 각을 결정하게 된다. 실제 회로에서는 원 칩 마이크로프로세서에 의해 처리되었으며 실험을 통해 턴온 각이 변하더라도 자기동조방식에 의해 턴오프 각을 조정하면 빠른 속도가 유지됨을 보여 주었다.

Evaluating the performance of OBS-C-O in steel frames under monotonic load

  • Bracing structures with off-centre bracing system is one of the new resistant systems that frequently used in the frame with pin connections. High ductility, high-energy dissipation and decrease of base shear are advantages of this bracing system. However, beside these advantages, reconstruction and hard repair of off-centre bracing system cause inappropriate performance in the earthquake. Therefore, in this paper, the goal is investigating the behavior of this type of bracing system with ductile element (circular dissipater), in order to providing replacement of damaged member without needing repair or reconstruction of the general system. To achieve this purpose, some numerical studies have been performed using ANSYS software, a frame with off-centre bracing system and optimum eccentricity (OBS-C-O) and another frame with the same identifications without ductile element (OBS) has been created. In order to investigate precisely on the optimum placement of circular elements under monotonic load again three steal frames were modeled. Furthermore, the behavior of this general system investigated for the first time, linear and nonlinear behavior of these two steel frames compared to each other, to achieve the benefit of using the circular element in an off-centre bracing system. Eventually, the analytical results revealed that the performance of steel ring at the end of off-centre braces system illustrating as a first defensive line and buckling fuse in the off-centre bracing system.

Cortex-M 계열 프로세서를 이용한 가시광 통신의 VPPM 구현 (Implementation of Variable Pulse Position Modulation Using a Cortex-M Processor for Visible Light Communication)

  • Visible light communication (VLC) is a short range optical communication technology using light emitting diodes. In this paper, we implement variable pulse position modulation (VPPM) defined in the IEEE 802.15.7 standard with a Cortex-M processor, which is a new modulation scheme for VLC providing a dimming control mechanism for flicker-free optical communication. The synchronization procedure between the transmitter and receiver is not defined clearly in the VPPM standard. In order to synchronize the transmitter and receiver easily, two overhead bits are used including one start bit and one stop bit modulated by on-off keying (OOK). Experimental results under various environmental conditions show that the proposed VPPM can support a seamless 100 Kbps data rate with 10 levels in the dimming control.

PLC를 이용한 온실의 환경제어 (Control of Environments in Greenhouse Using Programmable Logic Controller)

  • This study was carried out to develop the control system with PLC and its operating software and to investigate its control ability of greenhouse environments. Two experimental greenhouses were controlled by PLC and ON/OFF controller, respectively. In greenhouse controlled by PLC, target values of air temperature, relative humidity and $CO_2$ concentration were automatically changed. In warm-water heating, the variation of air temperature was reduced to $\pm$ $0.6^{\circ}C$ by the method of proportional-integration(PI) control with an inverter. In ventilation, the variation of air temperature was reduced, since windows open and close with multistage by mutual relation formula among the target, indoor, and outdoor temperature. Relative humidity at daytime was maintained with range of 35% to 55% by PLC controlled fogger. $CO_2$ concentration was automatically controlled from 300 to 800 $\mu$molㆍ$mol^{-1}$ according to amount of solar radiation. The suppling amount and frequency of nutrient solution were controlled by total integrated solar radiation. Difference in the yield of cucumber in the greenhouse controlled by PLC and by ON/OFF controller was not significant at the 5% level.

  • The effect of biological control on the severity of hot pepper wilt disease was evaluated in the vinyl house with plants cultivated in the nursery soil containing chitin and chitinolytic microorganisms. The chitinolytic microorganisms, Trichoderma harzianum and Chromobacterium sp. strain C-61, were well survived in the nursery soil containing chitin. The hot pepper damping-off was markedly suppressed in the nursery soil containing chitin and chitinolytic microorganisms. The survival of chitinolytic microorganisms and suppression of damping-off were superior as the amounts of chitin added to the nursery soil increased, but growth of hot pepper was inhibited in the 10% (w/w) chitin treatment. When the plants cultivated in the nursery soil containing 1% chitin and chitinolytic microorganisms were transplanted in the vinyl house, the vegetative growth increased and the wilt disease was reduced as comparison with those of control.
