Currently, dramatic change had led to the growth of the distribution environment and the retailer's distribution channel. This change had shifted the 'single channel' to 'multi channel', and from 'cross channel' to 'omni channel'. While fashion companies using omni channel are rapidly growing, few research regarding omni channel had been done in academic field. In this study, we examined the influence of omni channel characteristics on consumers' perceived risk as well as consumers' perceived risk toward attitude and intention to use omni channel. We surveyed 696 male and female respondents aged 20 to 40 who lived in Seoul and the metropolitan area. Using AMOS 20.0, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structural equation model analysis were performed to verify the model of this study. The results were as follows. First, omni channel's instant connectivity, location-based provability, interactivity, and entertainment factors did not decrease impacts on the perceived risk related to privacy and annoyance. Second, omni channel's instant connectivity and entertainment did not increase effects on the perceived financial risk, and location-based provability and interactivity did not increase effect on perceived financial risk. Third, the perceived risk concerning omni channel did not decrease on consumer attitude toward omni channel. Fourth, consumer attitude toward omni channel influenced the intention to use omni channel significantly.

This study investigated the characteristics of Omni Channel and examined the influence of them on consumers' perceived functional value and emotional value as well as the effect of perceived functional value and emotional value on user's intention of use through Omni Channel. To verify the research model, the questionnaire survey was conducted on 20's to 40's men and women residing in Seoul and the metropolitan area by convenience sampling. The number of copies used for data analysis was 696. To verify the research model, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and structural equation model analysis were performed using AMOS 20.0. First, Omni Channel characteristics consisted of four factors: instant connectivity, location-based provability, interactivity, and entertainment. Second, the instant connectivity, location-based provability and entertainment positively influenced functional value and emotional value; however, the interactivity was significant only to the emotional value. Third, consumers' perceived value of Omni Channel characteristics had a significant effect on attitude. Fourth, the more favorable the attitude toward Omni Channel is higher for the intention to use Omni Channel.
Recently, Omni Channel Services has been considered the most innovative business strategy. Omni-Channel sees a variety of channels from all channels viewpoints, organically combining each channel to provide a seamless experience for consumers. In other words, Omni-Channel is not simply a systematic integration of channels, but a means of delivering consistent services to consumers in all processes through a strategy to an organic connection. The aim of this study is to provide a comprehensive insight into the decision factors affecting the adoption of Omni-channel. For this purpose, an empirical analysis is conducted on the course of acceptanceof the Omni-channel service based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Task-technology fit (TTF), an effective model frequently selected to describe the acceptance of service in the introduction phase of new information technology. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the task characteristics and the technical characteristics had a positive effect on the task-technology fit, and the task-technology fit had a positive effect on the performance expectancy. In addition, task-technology fit, performance expectancy, and social influence have a positive effect on the intention to use the Omni-Channel. This study is intended to deliver an experimental meaning by proposing a strategical measure to understand the behaviorsand uses of consumers in the Omni-channel service environment and increase the customer satisfaction for the system.
Purpose: Omni-channel retailing is a new retail phenomenon. Consumers in the omni-channel environment do not rely on one channel but integrate different channels from the same retailers freely during a particular shopping journey. The purpose of this study is to better understand omni-channel shoppers in the fashion retailing context. The present study uses consumer characteristics -- fashion innovativeness, technology innovativeness, and fashion purchase involvement -- as determinants predicting consumers' omni-channel shopping intentions for fashion products. Research design, data, and methodology: Data were collected from 403 U.S. consumers, and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was performed to test proposed hypotheses. The survey for this research consisted of three parts. The first part measured consumer traits in terms of their innovativeness and purchase involvement. The second part was designed to measure consumers' omni-channel shopping intentions, and the third part gathered consumer demographic information. Results: The findings confirmed that fashion innovativeness, technology innovativeness, and fashion purchase involvement positively affected consumers' omni-channel shopping intentions. Conclusions: Fashion retailers should integrate various customer touchpoints and offer mobile-enabled technologies to boost consumer traffic to both online and offline stores. They also need to create a shopping environment that is optimized for customer engagement in various shopping processes and allow them to explore different shopping channel options for best purchase decisions.
This study tries to explain the relationships among omni-channel service characteristics, utilitarian/hedonic shopping value, and reuse intention. We derive instant connectivity, localization, consistency, integration, privacy risk as omni-channel service characteristics from previous studies and collect data from 190 omni-channel service users. The major findings are as follows. First, localization, consistency, and privacy risk have a significant effect on utilitarian shopping value but no significant effect on hedonic shopping value. Second, instant connectivity and integration have a positive effect on both utilitarian and hedonic value. Third, utilitarian and hedonic shopping value have a positive effect on reuse intention. This study extends the scope of omni-channel consumer behaviors by focusing on multi-dimensionality of shopping value. The results of this research can provide useful implications for practitioners to build successful strategies on omni-channel service.
With the development of information and communication technology, logistics distribution systems and services have been improved, new types of services have been provided, and consumption patterns in consumer markets have also changed. In the domestic distribution market, the development of ICT technology, the spread of smart devices, and the growth of the e-commerce market have led to Omni-channel, a service that integrates offline channels and online channels. Omni-channel service aims to provide consumers with consistent and convenient service by integrating offline and online domain into one. Consumers can get integrated service on and offline. In this study, consumers' intention to use Omni-channel was examined by Self Determination Theory and SERVQUAL. The survey was conducted on Omni-channel user and the research model was composed of 2nd order factor model considering the characteristics of Omni-channel which provides integrated service based on the prior literature and PLS-SEM (partial least squares structural equation modeling).
Recently, the traditional call center, which has an important role as the customer's primary contact point, has been transformed into the omni-channel contact center which supports an additional variety of access channels in addition to phone calls in order to improve customer accessibility and convenience. The omni-channel contact center has agents on each channel which are vital in determining the response rate and waiting time for the customer. In traditional call centers, agents can be assigned to a call based on the characteristics of the call, however in omni-channel contact centers, the characteristics of issues vary and come in through multiple channels, each with their own characteristics, making it difficult to assign the appropriate agent for the issue. Customers must also be processed at the same time, adding an additional layer of complexity to the issue. This paper analyzes and simulates an omni-channel contact center that accommodates email, chat, voice calls and video consultation, and investigates how to optimize the allocation of agents.

Omni-channel refers to a distribution channel through which consumers can purchase products without time and place constraints through the fusion of existing online and offline stores. Therefore, a study on the effect of the four characteristics of Omni-channel on customer satisfaction and preference was conducted among 350 and 365 Korean and Chinese consumers, respectively on customers of Olive Young and Watson China, representative drug store brands in Korea and China. Analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS 26.0's statistical package program. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach alpha, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were performed. As a result of verifying the effect of Omni-channel characteristics on customer satisfaction, it was found that convenience, accessibility, and price fairness had a significant positive (+) effect on customer satisfaction for Korean and Chinese consumers. Customer satisfaction was found to have a significant positive (+) effect on preference. This is because Korean and Chinese consumers generally had high satisfaction and preference for Olive Young and Watsons.
The purpose of this study is to obtain the implications for establishing a marketing strategy for retailers by analyzing whether the consumer's preference for products (food) is influenced by on-line, off-line, and omni-channel preferences. The research model consisted of the effects of consumers' food selection characteristics on business preference and omni channel preference. The results of analysis based on 477 questionnaires are summarized as follows. First, food purchasing characteristics that utilize the seven characteristics of (1) freshness of food, (2) taste, (3) quality and safety, (4) tasting, (5) food function and information, (6) country of origin, and (7) brand loyalty, has various effects on types of business preference, omni-channel preference. The adopted hypotheses were selected in order of brand loyalty (5 times), freshness (3 times), tasting (3 times), and origin (1 time). The selective attributes on foods are: (1) what kind of brand, (2) how good the freshness is, (3) tasting. (4) The country of origin is to be compressed. Actually consumers seem to utilize only the core selective factors that are appropriate to the characteristics of the distribution channel rather than all of them in the shopping of the food, and there is three characteristics on Convenience Store and only one or two factors in the other types of business. Second, in the analysis of the omni-channel preference analysis, food selection characteristics has been shown to have a limited effect, which is attributed to the fact that the consumer has not yet understood the concept of omni channel. Third, the results of this study suggest that there is a need to reflect the selection characteristics of foods that have diverse influences by business type in the marketing strategies. Because consumers make reasonable consumption to use both on-line and off-line simultaneously, consumers who use Omni Channel focus on quality and safety of food, identify products through tasting, pursue brands that can trust anywhere. Customers who pursue rationality will have a high preference for using Omni Channel. Product choice characteristic has significant effect on omni-channel preference. For a few years, omni-channel strategy of retailers meets with a difficulty. This study make a first attempt to study omni-channel preference changing retailing paradigm.

The rapid growth of digital consumption has significantly changed the shopping behavior of consumers. The consumption paradigm is changing; subsequently, an omni-channel has been introduced that empowers consumers to interact with firms through a myriad of touch points in multiple channels. This study is to understand the perceptions and behavioral characteristics of consumers in the purchase process (e.g., information search and purchase phase). A qualitative method was adopted for this study and data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with 15 omni-channel consumers. The results of this study were as follows. At the information search stage, consistency was the most important consideration for consumers who also wanted to retain channel-specific benefits. Consumers also searched for differentiated information among distribution channels. At the purchase stage, participants choose a shopping channel according to shopping values. They utilized newly introduced services (e.g., "online purchase, offline pick-up", FinTech) that combine retail channels. Our findings provide significance in managing omni-channel services. First, it is recommended that fashion retailers provide seamlessly integrated experience to consumer and adopt a consumer-centered channel choice strategy. Second, fashion retailers must maintain a constant attitude toward shopping experience to fashion, such as shopping enjoyment and exclusiveness.
