  • In this paper the Local Weighted Regression LWR technique is applied to the estimation of aircrcraft parameters. The method consists In improving the Local Weighted Regression LWR technique by adding a data Retention-and-Deletion RD strategy. The improvement comes with reduced computational effort since the two techniques can share their main computational procedures. The purpose of the study was to establish if the proposed algorithm could provide fast and reliable real-time estimations, with accuracy comparable to other well-known off-line identification schemes.   • This paper introduces what calibration is and how it is operated. The steps of calibration methods are discussed, which are modeling, measurement, parameter identification and compensation. Using modified D-H model, a new algorithm for parameter identification is developed. This algorithm is very simple and applicable to off-line robot simulator.

  • Industry is now seeing a dramatic increase in robot simulation and off-line programming. In order to use off-line programming effectively, the simulated workcell has to be identical to the real workcell. This requires an efficient and accurate method for the workcell calibration. Currently used techniques in the industry, however, are typically time-consuming, expensive and therefore not suitable for in-process application. This is because most of these techniques are based on the so-called “absolute calibration” method. In contrast to absolute method, relative calibration only measures the difference of an interested object relative to a standard reference. Owing to the small measurement range requirement, relative calibration method is very cheap and can achieve very high accuracy. In this paper the relative method is applied to calibrate an entire grinding workcell. Linear gauge is the only measurement device used. This workcell calibration includes tool center point (TCP) calibration and work object frame calibration. Due to the efficiency of the calibration algorithm and the simplicity of the calibration setup, the described calibration procedure can be done in process.

  • In this study, PD(partial discharge) signals which occur at stator coil of traction Motor are acquired these data are used for classifying the PD sources. NN(neural network) has recently applied to classify the PD pattern. The PD data are used for the learning process to classify PD sources. The PD data come from normal specimen and defective specimens such as internal void discharges, slot discharges and surface discharges. PD distribution parameters are calculated from a set of the data, which is used to realize diagnostic algorithm. NN which applies distribution parameters is useful to classify the PD patterns of defective sources generating in stator coil of traction motor.

  • This paepr is concerned with the design of linear parameter varying filter that ensures H$^{2}$/$H^{\infty}$ performance for a class of linear parameter varying(LPV) plants. The state space matrices of plant are assumed to be dependent affinely on a vector of time varying parameter, and each parameter is assumed to be measured in real time. Using the linear matrix inequalities(LMIs), we can solve the synthesis problem and the solution of LMIs is carried out off-line. The designed filter is parameter varying and automatically scheduled along parameter trajectories. Because the solution of LMIs is carried out off-line, computation time of filter gain is reduced. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verifed through computer simulation..

  • The recently-developed off-line learning control approaches for the rejection of periodic disturbances utilize the specific property that the learning system tends to oscillate in steady state. Unfortunately, the prior works have not clarified how closely the learning system should approach the steady state to achieve the rejection of periodic disturbances to satisfactory level. In this paper, we address this issue extensively for the class of linear systems. We also attempt to remove the effect of other aperiodic disturbances on the rejection of the periodic disturbances effectively. In fact, the proposed learning control algorithm can provide very fast convergence performance in the presence of aperiodic disturbance. The effectiveness and practicality of our work is demonstrated through mathematical, performance analysis as well as various simulation results.

Robust Stroke Extraction Method for Handwritten Korean Characters

  • The merit of the stroke extraction algorithm is the ease of the feature abstraction from the skeleton of a character, But, extracting strokes from Korean characters has two major problems that must be dealt with. One is extracting primitive strokes and the other is merging or splitting the strokes using dynamic information of the strokes. In this paper, a method is proposed to extract strokes from an off-line handwritten Korean character. We have developed some stroke segmentation rules based on splitting, merging and directional analysis. Using these techniques, we can extract and trace the strokes in an off-line handwritten Korean character accurately and efficiently.

High Resolution Linear Graphs : Graphical Aids for Designing Off-Line Process Control)

  • Designing high quality products and processes at a low cost is central technological and economic challenge to the engineer. The combination of engineering concepts and statistical implementations offered by Taguchi\`s off-line design technique has proven t be invaluable. By examining some deficiencies in designs from the Taguchi\`s highly fractional, orthogonal main effect plan based on orthogonal arrays, alternative method is proposed. The maximum resolution or the minimum aberration criterion is commonly used for selecting 2$^{n-m}$ fractional designs. We present new high resolution (low aberration) linear graphs to simplify the complexity of selecting designs with desirable statistical properties. The new linear graphs approach shows a substantial improvement over Taguchi\`s linear graphs and other related graphical methods for planning experiment. The new set of linear graphs will allow the experimenter to maintain the simple approach suggested by Taguchi while obtaining the best statistical properties of the resulting design such as minimum aberration as a by-product without dependency on complicated computational algorithm or additional statistical training.g.

  • In this paper, this system makes use of the analog sensor and converts the feature of fish analog signal when sensor is operating with CPU(80C196KC). Then, After signal processing, this feature Is classified a special feature and a outline of fish by using the neural network, one of the artificial intelligence scheme. This neural network classifies fish pattern of very simple and short calculation. This has linear activation function and the error backpropagation is used as a learning algorithm. And the neural network is learned in off-line process. Because an adaptation period of neural network is too long time when random initial weights are used, off-line learning Is induced to decrease the Progress time We confirmed this method has better performance than somewhat outdated machines.

  • PMCR은 600MWe CANDU-PHW의 지역 과출력 제어 계통의 일환으로 발전소 내에 설치된 computer를 이용하여 off-line으로 계산을 수행한다 이 프로그램은 계산된 중성자속 분포로부터 연료 연소도를 고려한 출력 분포를 계산하여 정확한 channel 출력 분포를 얻는다. PMCR은 따라서 발전소의 제어 프로그램과 별도로 연료 연소도를 계산한다. 이 논문에서는 기존의 균일 중성자속-출력 전환법을 이용한 계산결과와 비교하여 PMCR이 매우 정확한 출력 분포를 얻고 있음을 보여 준다.
