작업치료사의 직업기초능력 우선순위 조사연구 (Survey Study about the Priority of Vocational Core Competence for the Occupational Therapist)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 작업치료사의 직업기초능력 우선순위를 조사하는 데 있다. 연구대상은 작업치료사 138명과 작업치료과 재학생 95명이다. 대상자들에게 직업기초능력에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 작업기초능력에 대한 요소들을 확인하였다. 그 결과, 작업치료사와 재학생 두 집단 모두에서 직업기초능력에 대한 필요성을 느낀다고 나타났으며, 의사소통능력, 대인관계능력, 문제해결능력을 중요하다고 나타났고, 자신 또한 소유하고 있다고 나타났다. 하지만, 작업치료과 재학생 집단에서 기술능력을 중요하게 생각한다고 나타났지만 가장 소유하고 있지 않다고 나타났다. 이에 따라서, 작업치료사로써 실제 직무수행에 필요한 다양한 기술에 관한 지식과 정보를 수집할 수 있는 교육과정을 고려해봐야 할 것이다.

작업치료 대학생의 임상실습 교육 프로그램 개발 (Development of a Standardized Clinical Practice Education Program in Occupational Therapy Student)

  • Purpose : This study is aimed to develop and validate the clinical practice education program and clinical competence scale of occupational therapy student. Methods : The development of the clinical practice education program used the delphi technique method, which had a total of five steps. Based on the occupational therapist's job analysis, the first stage assessed the importance of 21 experts, and the second stage examined the importance of 19 new specialists to derive constitutive factors. In the third stage, in-depth interviews were conducted with three experts based on the derived factors, and in the fourth stage, the final clinical practice education program was derived. In the final stage, the details of the clinical training program were drawn up based on the themes and were reviewed by two experts. Structured and unstructured interviews were conducted with 43 job experts. Results : The expert survey through the delphi technique was conducted three times, and content analysis and descriptive statistics were conducted to examine the distribution of responses. The final 11 educational program topics and contents were derived. Topics are confirmation of client information, evaluation and intervention, cognitive therapy, spinal cord injury, brain injury, musculoskeletal disorders, pediatric occupational therapy, interventions in activities of daily living, driving rehabilitation, vocational rehabilitation, occupational therapy assessment tool, safety training and management. Conclusion : The clinical practice education program reduce the difference between school education and clinical education of occupational therapy student. Occupational therapy helps college student understand occupational therapy practices and improve the quality of clinical education. Through more research and supplementation of clinical practice education programs in the future, it is suggested that clinical practice education be successfully operated in various practice institutions and used as basic data for designing and evaluating useful educational models.

물리치료사의 자아존중감과 직무스트레스의 상관관계 (Relationship between Job Stress and Self-esteem of Physical Therapists)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to determine the degree of job stress and self-esteem of physical therapists as well as the correlation between the two variables. Method: This study targeted 218 physical therapists of Busan City, and was carried out from July 16 to August 6, 2009 as survey research. A structured questionnaire referring to advance researches was used as a research tool. Job stress symptoms were measured one a 5 point scale, the higher the point total, the higher the job stress. Self-esteem was measured on a 4 point scale, the higher the point total, the lower the self-esteem. After data collection we determined descriptive statistics, and did reliability analysis, factor analysis, Spearman's correlation analysis, and regression analysis. Results: Reliability analysis indicated that reliability for the job stress questionnaire was 0.93 and for the self-esteem was 0.83. The average job stress score of physical therapists was 1.19 points which was not high. The average self-esteem score was 1.76 points, whichwas high. It appeared that the higher the self-esteem, the lower the job stress. Also, self-esteem had an influence on psychological symptoms among job stress factors. Conclusion: Job stress and self-esteem of physical therapists are well-correlated and influence each other. Accordingly, self-esteem can be used as a variable for adjusting job stress of physical therapists.

COVID-19로 인해 발생한 업무의 피로도와 직무소진의 상관관계 및 직무스트레스와의 회귀분석 연구 -물리치료사를 대상으로- (Correlation Between Work Fatigue Caused by COVID-19 and Occupational Burnout -Regression Analysis of Occupational Stress in Physiotherapists-)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the type of physical therapist response work and its intensity, along with the prolonged prevalence of COVID-19, to determine the impact on physical therapists' occupational stress and occupational burnout. Methods: An online survey was conducted with 118 physiotherapists and collected the participants' gender, final educational background, clinical work experience, workplace type, additional workload, and fatigue associated with COVID-19. After excluding one participant who submitted an incomplete questionnaire, 117 respondents were included in the final data. Results: Additional COVID-19-related workloads and response reliability for fatigue, occupational burnout, and occupational stress were shown to have Cronbach's alpha measures of 0.76, 0.89, and 0.87, respectively. Groups who had experienced a new epidemic in the past showed higher fatigue levels (3.06±0.94) than those groups who had no such experience (2.49±0.84; p < 0.05). Correlation analysis of COVID-19 work fatigue and occupational burnout scales showed a positive correlation (r = 0.19; p < 0.05). The regression of occupational burnout and occupational stress showed a regression model of Y = 20.00+0.43X1 (X1: job stress; p< 0.05) and an explanatory power of 24.8% with an adj.R2 = 0.25. Conclusion: Based on the results, it is suggested that various institutions, such as medical institutions, educational institutions, and physiotherapists' associations, should seek ways to manage and alleviate physiotherapists' stress.

자가 신장 운동이 요양보호사의 근골격계 증상 및 직무 스트레스에 미치는 효과 (Effect of a Self-Stretching Exercise on Musculoskeletal Symptom and Job Stress for Care Helpers)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to research the effect of self-Stretching Exercise on musculoskeletal Symptom and job Stress for care helpers who work at geriatric hospital and come up to NIOSH standard. METHODS: The effect of self-Stretching Exercise was measured using 'musculoskeletal symptom survey table' and 'Job stress measurement scale for korean' from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency(KOSHA) for 40 care helpers. The paired t-test and independent t-test was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: The pracitce of Self-Stretching Exercise was showed significant effect reducing the stress for care helper's total job Stress and inappropriate compensation, job instability, job requirement, relationship conflict, physical environment(p<.05), and significant difference for their total score, relationship conflict, structure and organization, physical environment, inappropriate compensation improvement on variations on job stress in groups(p<.05). However, self-Stretching Exercis was showed no significant effect on physcial burden. CONCLUSION: The self-Stretching Exercise was the most effect way to reduce Musculoskeletal Symptom and job Stress for a care helpers through the guidance of physical therapist.

작업치료사의 우울감에 영향을 미치는 감정노동 요인 (Emotional Labor Factors Affecting Depressive Mood in Occupational Therapists)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 작업치료사의 감정노동과 우울감의 수준을 파악하고, 작업치료사의 감정노동이 우울감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 본 연구는 서울과 경기 지역의 병원 및 의원에서 근무하고 있는 임상 작업치료사를 대상으로 하였다. 일반적 특성 및 직업적 특성, 감정노동과 우울 항목으로 구성된 설문지를 통해 조사하였고, 부정확한 응답 8부를 제외한 210부를 대상으로 분석하였다. 감정노동의 요인을 독립변수로 하고, 카이제곱 검정 결과 유의한 결과를 보인 일반적 특성과 직업관련 특성 변수들을 보정변수로 투입하였으며, 우울 여부를 종속변수로 하여 다변량 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 : 감정노동의 구성요소인 감정노동의 빈도(OR 1.699, 95% CI 1.202-2.401), 감정노동에 대한 주의정도(OR 1.436, 95% CI 1.070-1.928), 감정의 부조화(OR 1.866, 95% CI 1.336-2.607)는 모두 우울에 유의한 영향을 나타냈다. 성별에서는 남성보다 여성에서(OR 5.736, 95% CI 1.746-18.846), 1일 근무시간에서는 8시간 이하보다 8시간 초과가(OR 8.609, 95% CI 2.306-32.137), 치료 대상자는 성인보다 아동을 담당하는 작업치료사에서(OR 4.249, 95% CI 1.668-10.824) 우울 가능성이 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 결론 : 작업치료사는 환자와 환자 보호자를 접촉하면서 생기는 감정노동이 우울감에 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되어, 작업치료사의 우울감을 감소시키기 위한 다양한 예방 활동 및 정책이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
