  • RC structures can deteriorate for many defective factors. In the repair and retrofit works of concrete, epoxy resins are widely used as repair materials. The object of this study is to investigate the material properties and durabilities of epoxy resins which are commonly used in repairing concrete. The material properties such as line-expansion modulus, viscosity, microstructure and physical parameter as well as the durabilities such as gravity change, tensile strength, elongation change were carried out.

  • Spent nuclear fuel is very dangerous substance emitting strong ionizing radiation which is harmful to human body. The remote handling of spent nuclear fuel is essential because people cannot access this substance without protecting radiation. To handle highly radioactive material or nuclear waste, many kinds of teleoperators such as master slave manipulator, electro mechanical manipulator, servo manipulator, mobile robot was developed. The distance and dimension of target object cannot be measured easily when highly radioactive material is handled by teleoperator because one should use lead glass or TV camera and monitor to protect radiation and see target object. During experiments on the remote handling of spent nuclear fuel by electro mechanical manipulator, we often felt that a distance and dimension measurement system is necessary to handle the objects which is in the highly radioactive environment, so we developed a system which is appropriate for this purpose.

  • The eyes are the first sensory organs to perceive the environment. We become accustomed to the environment with our eyes. When we contact the environment, we perceive the appearance of an object with our eyes. Then we recognize our position, and perceive the shape surrounding the object interacting with space. The perception of seeing constructs experiences which control most of our recognition, and the experiences are images of the environment surrounding it. So they are significantly expressed into sensitive and mental elements of material and non-material world. Gibson's ecological perception theory analyzes and information system, which helps man to move effectively, and its component stimulus'. The important thing is that we should understand the combination of systems gathering stimulus not as an individual system but as one whole system.

  • The overall trend of the contemporary society which is characterized by the variety and de-unification shows many that object to the language system of the structuralism. The typical characteristics of deconstruction in contemporary architecture and products are deconstruction of meanings, deconstructuralism of he form by the use of material, new material, deconstruction of metaphor and way of expression, deconstruction of proportion and deconstruction of ideas. The design elements of the deconstruction are re-defying the function, changing shapes, the structures, metaphors, dening of the golden proportions and the emphasizing the kitsch elements. From the various style, the kitsch style is a phenomenon that comes from the way of representing emotion, inspiration, understanding of the popularity, and the authority of consumers for choice.

  • In this study, characteristics of ultrasonic transducer fabricated with porous piezoelectric resonator are investigated, 3-D underwater object recognition using the self-made ultrasonic transducer and SOFM(Self-Organizing Feature Map) neural network are presented. The self-made transducer was satisfied the required condition of ultrasonic transducer in water, and the recognition rates for the training data and the testing data were 100 and 95.3% respectively. The experimental results have shown that the ultrasonic transducer fabricated with porous piezoelectric resonator could be applied for sonar system.

  • In this study, Efficiency estimation of ultrasonic sensor fabricated with porous piezoelectric resonator by experiment of 3-D underwater object recognition are presented. The sensor was satisfied with requirement of ultrasonic sensor. The recognition rates for the fixed objects and the translation-rotation objects are 95.3 and 92.7[%], respectively using porous piezoelectric ultrasonic sensor and SOFM neural network. According to the experimental results, It is believed that the self-made ultrasonic sensor can be applied as underwater ultrasonic sensor.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify how modern fashion show makeup reflects surrealism: it also proposes fashion show make-up expressed by focusing on objects. This study aims to research make-up characterized by surrealistic object expression, which is frequently used in the 21st century modern fashion shows, and reviews the concept of the objects positioned importantly in the history of modern makeup. In this study, the influence of the object over modern makeup, particularly fashion show makeup is reviewed together with the characteristics of the object. As a result of reviewing the concepts of modern fashion show makeup by applying objects, the conclusions that are gained are as follows. Fashion show makeup expressed in today's modern time tends to emphasize the artists' unique expressions and personality, while many artists attempt to use various expression ideas and techniques. Objects are variously expressed in makeup and in the $21^{st}$ century, this is the due to the development of digital technology and expansion of designers' imagination Furthermore, surrealistic makeup achieves eminence in styling by showing the formative limits of human beings. The types of surrealistic techniques are expressed as transposition, distortion, and optical illusion in makeup. Expansion of material became the momentum in order to provide unique ideas in fashion show makeup. Moreover, the object of surrealism has a considerable influence on the development of makeup. In this regard, more positive attempts for new designs are being expected.
