할선강성을 이용한 직접비탄성내진설계 (Direct Inelastic Earthquake Design Using Secant Stiffness)

  • 본 연구에서는 할선강성을 사용하여 반복계산을 수행하는 새로운 내진설계법을 개발하였다. 개발한 설계법은 탄성해석을 수행하므로 수치해석의 안정성과 용이성을 갖추고 있으며, 동시에 반복계산으로 구조물의 비탄성 거동을 해석할 수 있으므로 각 부재의 강도 및 연성 요구량을 정확히 예측할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 제안된 설계법의 절차를 정립하였고, 이를 고려한 컴퓨터 해석/설계 프로그램을 개발하였다. 또한, 제안된 설계법을 사용한 설계예제를 제시하였고, 탄성 혹은 비탄성 해석을 이용한 기존 설계법과의 비교를 통하여 그 장점을 검증하였다. 해석과 설계를 통합적으로 수행하는 제안된 설계법은 설계자의 의도에 따라 부재의 강도 및 연성능력, 강기둥-약보 등과 같은 내진설계전략을 효과적으로 구현할 수 있으며, 초기설계단계에서 각 부재의 크기만이 가정된 구조물에 대하여 반복계산을 수행함으로써 주어진 설계전략을 만족하는 비탄성 강도 및 연성 요구량을 직접적으로 계산할 수 있으므로, 경제적이고 안전한 내진설계가 가능하다.

모우드 가속도법의 수학적 정리(定理) (Mathematical Theorem of Mode Acceleration Method)

  • 모우드 중첩법은 구조 동역학 문제의 선형 거동해를 위해서 가장 일반적으로 사용되고 있다. 이러한 모우드 중첩법의 큰 장점은 보통 저차 모우드의 작은 수 만으로 구조물의 거동해석이 충분하다는 것이다. 그러나 많은 수의 자유도를 갖는 거대 구조물에서는 수렴속도가 느리고, 정확한 모우드 중첩법이 되기 위해서는 많은 수의 모우드 수가 필요하게 된다. 모우드 중첩법의 부정확성은 사용되는 모우드 수의 절삭에 의해서 발생된다. 이러한 단점들은 모우드 가속도법에 의해서 극복될 수 있다. 조화하중을 받는 단순보에 대하여 예제해석을 수행하였으며, 두 방법에 의해서 절점 변위들의 수렴성을 비교하였다. 비교적 낮은 주파수를 갖는 하중에 대하여 모우드 가속도법은 저차 모우드 1개만으로도 좋은 결과를 얻을 수 있었으며, 이 방법은 수치해석에 있어서 더 경제적이며 또한 정확한 해가 된다.

도침(刀鍼) 및 관침(管鍼)을 이용한 심부혈맥 자락술이 급성 요추 추간판탈출증에 미치는 영향 (Case Study of with Dochim(刀鍼) & Gwanchim(管鍼) Therapy Combined with Korean Medicine Treatment of Herniated Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Patients)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of Dochim & Gwanchim therapy combined with Korean medicine treatment in patients of herniated lumbar disc. Methods : Clinical study was conducted to 103 patients who were treated in Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion Medicine, Korean Medicine Hospital, Daejeon University from 1st september, 2011 th 31th July, 2013. We divided into two groups. The group A(n=80) was treated with Gwanchim therapy combined with Korean medicine treatment, and the group B(n=23) was treated only Korean medicine treatment. We evaluated the treatment effect with the verbal numerical rating scale(VNRS), and compared admission day and one day after admission. Results : 1. In both two groups VNRS was decreased and this therapy is safety. 2. In group A, VNRS was decreased 10 to 5.68 and in group B, VNRS was decreased 10 to 8.7 Conclusion : This study demonstrates that Gwan acupuncture therapy has significant effect reducing pain for HIVD(herniated lumbar intervertebral disc) patients.

탐색 창을 갖는 이중드웰 직렬 동기획득 방식에 대한 수학적 모델링 및 성능분석 (Mathematical modeling and performance analysis for the double-dwell serial search algorithm with a search window)

  • 본 논문에서는 파일롯 채널(pilot chanel)이 존재하는 직접확산 코드분할 다중접속 방식(DS-CDMA)에서 탐색 창을 갖는 이중도웰 직렬 동기획득 방식에 대한 수학적 모델을 제시하고, 이에 대한 성능을 분석하였다. 성능 분석을 위한 유도된 수학적 모델들은 부호 검출 함수, 오보 함수, 부호 miss함수, 그리고 평균 동기 획득 시간 등이었다. 또한 유도된 식을 IS-95 순방향 링크에 적용하여 수학적 모델에 의한 평균 동기획득 시간을 계산하였고, 이것을 기존의 동기획득 알고리듬과 비교하였다. 그리고 탐색 창을 갖는 이중드웰 직렬 동기 획득 방식에 대하여, 적분 시간과 탐색 창의 크기가 평균 동기획득 시간에 미치는 영향도 분석하였다. 성능분석을 위해 사용된 채널 모델은 북미의 PCS 채널 모델인 JTC 채널로 설정하였다. 성능 분석 결과, 탐색 창을 갖는 이중드웰 직렬 동기획득 방식이 평균 동기획득 시간에서 기존의 동기획득 알고리듬보다 약 17%~25% 정도 단축됨을 보였다.

가중 선형 연상기억을 채용한 유전적 프로그래밍과 그 공학적 응용 (Genetic Programming with Weighted Linear Associative Memories and its Application to Engineering Problems)

  • Genetic programming (GP) is an extension of a genetic algoriths paradigm, deals with tree structures representing computer programs as individuals. In recent, there have been many research activities on applications of GP to various engineering problems including system identification, data mining, function approximation, and so forth. However, standard GP suffers from the lack of the estimation techniques for numerical parameters of the GP tree that is an essential element in treating various engineering applications involving real-valued function approximations. Unlike the other research activities, where nonlinear optimization methods are employed, I adopt the use of a weighted linear associative memory for estimation of these parameters under GP algorithm. This approach can significantly reduce computational cost while the reasonable accurate value for parameters can be obtained. Due to the fact that the GP algorithm is likely to fall into a local minimum, the GP algorithm often fails to generate the tree with the desired accuracy. This motivates to devise a group of additive genetic programming trees (GAGPT) which consists of a primary tree and a set of auxiliary trees. The output of the GAGPT is the summation of outputs of the primary tree and all auxiliary trees. The addition of auxiliary trees makes it possible to improve both the teaming and generalization capability of the GAGPT, since the auxiliary tree evolves toward refining the quality of the GAGPT by optimizing its fitness function. The effectiveness of this approach is verified by applying the GAGPT to the estimation of the principal dimensions of bulk cargo ships and engine torque of the passenger car.

휨지배 철근콘크리트 부재의 에너지소산성능 평가 방법 (Simplifed Method for Estimating Energy-Dissipation Capacity of Flexure-Dominant RC Members)

  • 비선형 정적해석법과 같은 발전된 지진 해석 및 설계방법은 강도, 연성도, 에너지 소산량으로 대표되는 철근콘크리트 부재의 주기거동을 정확하게 예측하는 것이 필요하게 되었다. 그러나 현재, 에너지 소산량의 평가는 정확하지 못한 경험식을 사용하거나 실무적으로 사용하기 어려운 실험이나 정교한 수치해석에 의존하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 주기하중을 받는 휨지배 철근콘크리트 부재의 주기거동특성을 연구하기 위하여 비선형 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 또한 압축력, 철근비, 배근형태 등이 주기거동에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 이러한 연구를 토대로 주기거동에 의한 에너지 소산량을 산정할 수 있는 약산법을 개발하였으며, 실험 및 수치해석 결과와의 비교를 통해 검증하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방법은 현재사용되고 있는 경험식보다 더 정확하게 철관콘크리트 부재의 에너지 소산능력을 평가할 수 있으며, 실무에 쉽게 적용할 수 있다.

Prognostic factors for outcome of surgical treatment in medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw

  • Objectives: The number of patients with medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) is increasing, but treatment remains controversial. Published papers and systematic reviews have suggested that surgical treatment is effective in patients with MRONJ. The purpose of this study was to determine whether preoperative University of Connecticut Osteonecrosis Numerical Scale (UCONNS), other serologic biomarkers, and size of necrosis are prognostic factors for outcome of surgical treatment in MRONJ. Materials and Methods: From January 2008 to December 2016, 65 patients diagnosed with MRONJ at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in College of Dentistry, Dankook University who required hospitalization and surgical treatment were investigated. Patient information, systemic factors, and UCONNS were investigated. In addition, several serologic values were examined through blood tests one week before surgery. The size of osteolysis was measured by panoramic view and cone-beam computed tomography in all patients. With this information, multivariate logistic regression analysis with backward elimination was used to examine factors affecting postoperative outcome. Results: In multivariate logistic analysis, higher UCONNS, higher C-reactive protein (CRP), larger size of osteolysis, and lower serum alkaline phosphate were associated with higher incidence of incomplete recovery after operation. This shows that UCONNS, CRP, serum alkaline phosphate, and size of osteolysis were statistically significant as factors for predicting postoperative prognosis. Conclusion: This study demonstrated that CRP, UCONNS, serum alkaline phosphate, and size of osteolysis were statistically significant factors in predicting the prognosis of surgical outcome of MRONJ. Among these factors, UCONNS can predict the prognosis of MRONJ surgery as a scale that includes various influencing factors, and UCONNS should be used first as a predictor. More aggressive surgical treatment and more definite surgical margins are needed when the prognosis is poor.

신바로3 약침시술을 병행한 한방치료로 호전된 극상근건염 및 삼각근하 점액낭염 환자 치험 1례 (A Case Report of Supraspinatus Tendinitis and Subdeltoid Bursitis Patient Improved by Korean Medicine Treatment with Shinbaro3 Pharmacopuncture)

  • Objectives The objective of this study is to report the improved case of Korean medicine treatment with Shinbaro3 pharmacopuncture for supraspinatus tendinitis and subdeltoid bursitis. Methods We used Shinbaro3 pharmacopuncture with other Korean medicine treatment (acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping and chuna) for this patient. This case is measured and assessed by Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), shoulder range of motion (ROM) and shoulder physical examination. Results The NRS decreased from 10 to 2 and the patient showed nearly full shoulder range of motion. Also physical examination of shoulder was improved. Conclusions Korean medicine treatment with Shinbaro3 pharmacopuncture is proved to be helpful to relieve pain and recover function on shoulder joint.

척추관 협착증 환자의 보행능력과 요추 주변 근육 단면적의 상관관계 연구 (The Correlation between Cross-sectional Area of Lumbar Paraspinal Muscles and Walking Ability in the Patients with Lumbar Spinal Stenosis)

  • Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between walking ability of lumbar spinal stenosis patients and the cross-sectional area (CSA) of lumbar paraspinal muscles. Methods This study was carried out on 62 lumbar spinal stenosis patients who had limited walking abilities because of neurogenic claudication (NC). All patients received more than 2 weeks of complex treatment at Mokhuri Neck&Back Hospital. CSA of lumbar paraspinal muscles was measured from axial T2-weighted MRI and divided by CSA of adjacent vertebral body to avoid influence of body statues (RCSA-Relative CSA). Pain Free Walking Distance and Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) was measured before and after treatment. Results The Pain Free Walking Distance had significantly increased in patients who had bigger RCSA of psoas muscle (r=0.313, p<0.05). Conclusions The psoas muscle can be a predictive factor for restoring walking ability of lumbar spinal stenosis patients who have limitations walking.

성별과 연령에 따른 골밀도와 체질량지수 변화에 대한 연구 (The Study on the Changes of Bone Mineral Density and Body Mass Index According to Sex and Age)

  • Objectives : Osteoporosis is the most common metabolic disease of the bone, and one of the most important public health problems around the world. Obesity rate gradually increases as women grow older. The purpose of the study was to investigate the changes between bond mineral density(BMD) and body mass index(BMI) according to sex and age. Methods : We measured the bone mineral density(BMD) of lumber spine(L2-L4) and femoral neck in 10000 normal adult, using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA; DPX-alpha). and also measured the body mass index(BMI) in 9810 normal adult. then we analysed the changes of BMD and BMI according to sex and age. Results : 1. As getting older, male's T-score of lumbar spine(L2-L4) was slowly decreased. On the other hand, female's T-score of lumbar spine was sharply dropped after 46 years old. 2. As getting older, male's T-score of femoral was slowly decreased. On the other hand, female's T-score of femoral was sharply dropped after 49 years old. 3. Irrespective of age, male's BMI keep up the extent within a definite period of numerical value. As getting older, female's BMI continued its upward trend. Conclusions : Much more attention should be needed for female patient suffering from osteoporosis and obesity than male.
