Super-RENS Disc의 Random 신호 특성 (Random Signal Characteristics of Super-RENS Disc)

  • We report the random pattern characteristics of the super resolution near field structure(Super-RENS) write once read-many(WORM) disc at a blue laser optical system(laser wavelength 405nm, numerical aperture 0.85) and the Super-RENS read only memory(ROM) disc at a blue laser optical system(laser wavelength 659nm, numerical aperture 0.65). We used the WORM disc of which carrier-to-noise ratio(CNR) of 75nm is 47dB and ROM disc of which carrier-to-noise ratio(CNR) of 173nm is 45dB. We controlled the equalization(EQ) characteristics and used advanced partial-response maximum likelihood(PRML) technique. We obtained bit error rate(bER) of 10-3 level at 50GB WORM disc and bite error rate of 10-4 level at 50GB level ROM disc. This result shows high feasibility of Super-RENS technology for practical use.

  • 광대역용 박판 전파흡수체의 설계에는 자성재료가 많이 사용되며, 주로 자성재료 박판의 이면에 금속판을 접착하여 만든다. 이 경우,6개의 변수를 포함하는 한개의 이론식에 의해 무반사 또는 보다 실용적인 99% 이상의 흡수(20dB 전파감소)가 가능한 전파흡수체의 형상과 재료 및 전자파 상수가 정의된다. 2여B 전파감소에 해당 하는 정합 경제값을 계산하기 위하여 Secant법을 적용하였으며, 전파흡수체 설계시 허용 가능한 재료 상수값의 범위를 구하기 위하여 Secant볍을 응용한 search algorithm을 개발하였다. 6개의 변수 모두에게 적용할 수 있 는 이 수치해석 방법에 의해 최소의 반복 계산으로 정확한 값을 효율적으로 구할 수 있었다.

  • The electromagnetic characteristics of FCEVs (fuel cell electric vehicles) are much different from the existing combustion engine cars as well as hybrid, plug-in-hybrid, and pure electric vehicles due to the high voltage/current generated by a fuel cell stack which uses a compressed hydrogen gas reacted with oxygen. To operate fuel cell stack efficiently, BOP (Balance of Plant) is essential. BOP systems are used many not only for motors in water pump, air blower, and hydrogen recycling pump but also inverters for these motors. Since these systems or components are connected by high voltage cables, EMC (Electromagnetic compatibility) analysis for high voltage/current cable is the most important element to prevent the possible electric functional safety errors. In this paper, electromagnetic fields of high current/voltage cable for FCEVs is studied. From numerical analysis results, time harmonic magnetic field strength of high current/voltage cable have difference of 20~28 dB according to phase. EMI result considered ground effect of FECV at 10 m shows difference of 14.5 dB at 30 MHz and 2.8 dB at 230 MHz compared with general cable.

  • CFD data compression methods based on Full-3D and Quasi-1D supercompact multiwavelets are presented. Supercompact wavelets method provide advantageous benefit that it allows higher order accurate representation with compact support. Therefore it avoids unnecessary interaction with remotely located data across singularities such as shock. Full-3D wavelets entails appropriate cross-derivative scaling function & wavelets, hence it can allow highly accurate multi-spatial data representation. Quasi-1D method adopt 1D multiresolution by alternating the directions rather than solving huge transformation matrix in Full-3D method. Hence efficient and relatively handy data processing can be conducted. Several numerical tests show swift data processing as well as high data compression ratio for CFD simulation data.

  • This study is performed to secure the safety of civil aviation by establishing systematic analysis ability of Flight Data Recorder. Through this study, readouting UFDR(Universal Flight Data Recorder) to personal computer, flight data numerical analysis and regulations of Missed Approach. In the analysis, the flight data of B747-400 model aircraft with Missed Approach in San Francisco(KSFO) was selected.

  • 본 논문에서는 Feedforward형 Trellis 부호기를 사용하여, 신호좌표를 최적화한 DS/SSMA 시스템을 제안하고, AWGN 채널에서 비트오율을 유도하였다. 2-상태와 4-상태에서, Trellis 부호화된 4 PSK(부호율 1/2), 8-PSK(부호율 2/3)를 선정하여, 신호좌표를 최적화하지 않고 Feedback형 Trellis 부호기를 사용한 Boudreau의 시스템과 비교하였다. TCM의 해석은 일반화된 전달함수 방법을 이용하였으며, 다중간섭신호의 해석에는 n차의 모멘트를 구하여 계산하는 모멘트 방법을 사용하였다. 분석한 결과, 제안된 시스템의 성능을 Boudreau의 시스템보다 항상 우수하였다. 비트 오율이 Pn=10 일때 AWGN 채널에서 $0.2dB\sim2.4dB$ 정도의 성능개선을 보였다.

Numerically integrated modified virtual crack closure integral technique for 2-D crack problems

  • Modified virtual crack closure integral (MVCCI) technique has become very popular for computation of strain energy release rate (SERR) and stress intensity factor (SIF) for 2-D crack problems. The objective of this paper is to propose a numerical integration procedure for MVCCI so as to generalize the technique and make its application much wider. This new procedure called as numerically integrated MVCCI (NI-MVCCI) will remove the dependence of MVCCI equations on the type of finite element employed in the basic stress analysis. Numerical studies on fracture analysis of 2-D crack (mode I and II) problems have been conducted by employing 4-noded, 8-noded (regular & quarter-point), 9-noded and 12-noded finite elements. For non-singular (regular) elements at crack tip, NI-MVCCI technique generates the same results as MVCCI, but the advantage for higher order regular and singular elements is that complex equations for MVCCI need not be derived. Gauss numerical integration rule to be employed for 8-noded singular (quarter-point) element for accurate computation of SERR and SIF has been recommended based on the numerical studies.

  • This paper is concerned with the numerical solutions to steady state nonlinear elliptical partial differential equations (PDE) of the form $u_{xx}+u_{yy}+Du_{x}+Eu_{y}+Fu=G$, where D, E, F are functions of x, y, u, $u_{x}$, and $u_{y}$, and G is a function of x and y. Dirichlet boundary conditions in a rectangular region are considered. We propose alternating direction shooting method for solving such nonlinear PDE. Numerical results show that the alternating direction shooting method performed better than the commonly used linearized iterative method.

  • A conservative finite-volume numerical method using unstructured meshes, which is developed by the authors, is evaluated for its application to several 2-D benchmark problems using a variety of quadrilateral, triangular and hybrid meshes. The present pressure-based numerical method for unstructured mesh clearly demonstrates the same accuracy and robustness as that fur typical structured mesh.

  • We performed the numerical study on the characteristics of the 3-D airflow and dynamic cross contamination in the photolithography process cleanroom. The nonunifurmity, the deflection angle and the global cross contamination were used for analyzing the characteristics and performances of cleanroom. From the numerical results, we knew that the airflow characteristics of the cleanrooms are largely affected by the porosity of panel and the adjustment of dampers and the global cross contamination varies with the location of source and the passage of time through the concentration ratio.
