An Empirical Research on Cultural Identity and Purchase Intention of Foreign Goods

  • Multinational enterprises have adopted the form of business to successfully operate globally, and the overseas project has brought huge cultural exchange and penetration. The cultural liberalization also has improved the manufactured goods production and effect the consumers' purchase intentions. In this paper we focused on the influence factors that effected the cultural output, by investigating the actual consume market, using Structure Equation model(SEM model) to test the relationships among cultural preferences and purchase intentions of foreign products. Also, we evaluated the consumers' ethnocentrism's influences on cultural identity with other nations' cultural background. Lastly, we concluded that cultural identity has influences and complicate individual thoughts and purchase actions, it provides significance of impact of nation's soft power and whole economic development, and ethnocentrism has no significant influences on consuming foreign manufacture goods.

재해구호물자 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Disaster Relief Aid)

  • Disaster relief goods are those that help disaster victims to carry on ordinary life in a disaster. Along with the improvement of national economic level and raise of people's standard of living and diversified lifestyles, demands for relief goods in a disaster are also being diversified. In step with frequent and rather large-scale occurrence of disasters, diversity of related goods for disaster relief is likely to be needed ever more in the future, while more assistance to disaster victims is required from the aspect of securing their normal daily lives. To this end, the study conducted comparative analysis of how Korea, the US and Japan managed disaster relief goods and also examined, analyzed the opinions regarding the betterment of relief goods among disaster victims and ordinary people and civil servants in charge. Based on this, the study suggested the improvement draft for disaster relief goods, the point of which was to minimize disaster relief goods commonly prepared by the central government with goods that may assist victims' lives in shelters, while local governments may prepare relief goods appropriately according to actual situation.

역전파 알고리즘을 이용한 웨이퍼의 다이싱 상태 모니터링 (Monitoring of Wafer Dicing State by Using Back Propagation Algorithm)

  • The dicing process cuts a semiconductor wafer to lengthwise and crosswise direction by using a rotating circular diamond blade. But inferior goods are made under the influence of several parameters in dicing such as blade, wafer, cutting water and cutting conditions. This paper describes a monitoring algorithm using neural network in order to find out an instant of vibration signal change when bad dicing appears. The algorithm is composed of two steps: feature extraction and decision. In the feature extraction, five features processed from vibration signal which is acquired by accelerometer attached on blade head are proposed. In the decision, back-propagation neural network is adopted to classify the dicing process into normal and abnormal dicing, and normal and damaged blade. Experiments have been performed for GaAs semiconductor wafer in the case of normal/abnormal dicing and normal/damaged blade. Based upon observation of the experimental results, the proposed scheme shown has a good accuracy of classification performance by which the inferior goods decreased from 35.2% to 6.5%.

  • In Mash & Murrell, Diplock J said that "there is an implied warranty not merely that they shall be merchantable at the time they are put on the vessel, but that they shall be in such a state that they can endure the normal journey and be in a merchantable condition upon arrival." But in The Mercini Lady, Field J said that "the goods would be of satisfactory quality not only when the goods were delivered on to the vessel but also for a reasonable time thereafter." and "The proposed conditions were not excluded by clause 18. ${\cdots}$ clause 18 was not to be construed as extending to conditions ${\cdots}$". In relation to the problems on validity of the goods conformity clauses in FOB contracts, when considering Lord Wright's comments ("${\cdots}$ hence apt and precise words must be used to exclude it: the words guarantee or warranty are not sufficiently clear.") in Cammell Laird & Co Ltd v Manganese Bronze and Brass, FOB contracts are fundamentally one that seller's duty to deliver the goods is completing at the port of shipment and "principle of party autonomy" in Contract Law, I do not think that the terms implied by section 14 of the SGA and Common Law cannot absolutely excluded by the goods conformity clauses in sale contracts. Therefore, in order to exclude the implied terms, the parties must very clearly spell out this in the relevant clauses.

분가와 상대적 빈곤 (Split Households and Relative Poverty)

  • 본 연구는 분가의 양상을 분석하고, 이를 통해 상대적 빈곤에 대한 시사점을 제시한다. 분가 확률은 가구 소득이 높을수록 높으며, 분가 이후 취업자 및 소득이 더 큰 폭으로 증가하는 양상을 보인다. 즉, 분가는 소득이 높은 가구에서 더 빈번하게 발생하는 정상재(normal goods)의 성격이 강한 것으로 판단된다. 노인 가구에 대한 역사실적 분석(counter-factual analysis) 결과, 상대 빈곤에 처한 노인 가구들 가운데 최근 분가한 자녀세대의 부양능력을 감안할 경우 빈곤의 규모가 1/3~1/8까지로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 부양의무 조항이 삭제된 빈곤 정책은 실질적으로 빈곤하지 않는 노인들에게 정부지출이 집중되는 비효율을 초래할 우려도 높다고 판단된다.

  • The parties in International Sale of Goods including Korean Firms Should note ; The buyer must pay the price for the goods and take delivery of them as required by the contract and CISG. The obligations mentioned in Article 53 are primary obligations which are to be fulfilled in the normal performance of the contract. The buyer has to take delivery at the respective place within a reasonable period after this communication since he cannot be required to take delivery immediately. Refusing to take delivery in case of delay not constituting a ground for avoiding the contract makes no sense, since this would lead to even later delivery. The buyer's obligation to pay the price includes taking such steps and complying with such formalities as may be required under the contract or any laws and regulations to enable payment to be made. International sales contracts frequently prescribe that the buyer has to act in advance, that is before the seller starts the process of delivery. Such acts may be either advance payments or the procurement of securities for payment as letters of credit guarantees. On the other hand, The seller deliver the goods hand over any documents relating to them and transfer the property in the goods, as required by the contract and CISG. The seller must deliver goods which are of the quantity, quality and description required by the contract and which are contained or packaged in the manner required by the contract. Except where the parties have agreed otherwise, the goods do not conform with the contract unless they are fit for the purposes for which goods of the same description would ordinarily be used are fit for any particular purpose expressly or impliedly made known to the seller at the time of the conclusion of the contract, except where the circumstances show that the buyer did not rely, or that it was unreasonable for him to rely, on the seller's skill and judgement. The buyer may declare the contract avoided if the failure by the seller to perform any of his obligations under the contract or CISG amounts to a fundamental breach of contract. 부산 북항·감천항의 위험화물운반선 통항패턴에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Traffic Patterns of Dangerous Goods Carriers in Busan North and Gamcheon Port)

  • 우리나라 주요 항만의 입출항 통항패턴을 연구하기 위한 사전 연구로서, 부산항에 입 출항하는 위험화물운반선의 통항량을 항만운영정보시스템(Port Management Information Systim, Port-MIS) 자료를 이용하여 사전 조사하고, 통항량이 가장 높은 각 계절별 연속 3일을 선별하였다. 해양안전종합정보시스템(General Information Center on Maritime Safety & Security, GICOMS) 자료를 이용하여 선별된 12일간 위험화물운반선의 부산항 주요 통항로의 통항 패턴을 분석하였다. 또한 주요 입출항 지점인 북항 오륙도 방파제와 감천항 동방파제의 위험 화물운반선의 통항 이격거리를 분석하였다. 항로 단면에서 선박의 궤적이 정규분포를 이룬다는 가정을 근거로 해상교통안전진단 등에서 정규분포의 누적 확률분포 함수를 이용하여 충돌확률을 추정하여 사용하고 있지만, 오륙도 방파제 입출항 및 감천항 동방파제 입항에서의 선박의 항해 궤적은 KS-test 및 SW-test를 이용한 정규성 검정결과 정규분포를 따르지 않는 것으로 평가되었다. 특히 북항에서는 선박의 우측통항 경향이 두드러지게 나타났다. 일반적인 통항이론의 적용보다는 항만의 특성에 맞는 통항모델을 개발하여, 해상교통안전진단 등에서 적용하는 것이 바람직하여 이에 대한 후속연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

해외 패션 명품 브랜드의 유통업태별 마케팅 전략 (Marketing Strategies of Imported Fashion Luxury Brands according to the Types of Retailers)

  • The purposes of this paper were to identity the present condition of the imported fashion luxury brands' market arid to analyze the differences of marketing strategies according to the types of retailers. We selected 3 department stores, 5 luxury brands, 5 stores in Dongdeamun Market, and 5 internet luxury shopping malls, and conducted key informant survey to 20 experts. The brands in department stores consisted the goods according to VIPs' pre-orders, sales of the previous year, and fashion trends, and offered the differentiated customer services to VIPs. The stores in Dongdaemun Market bought the products from the parallel importers or imported the goods from the original nations of the brands by themselves. The goods in stock and steady sellers were comprised of the main portion of all products, and leather goods were dominated. The price of goods in stock was about $30\∼50\%$ lower than the normal price of department stores, but the new products' price was only about 10$\%$ lower than that of department stores. Luxury shopping malls could be classified into two types; one conducted both product buying and commission sale, and the other conducted commission sale only. In former case, however, the product buying portion was under 30$\%$. Product assortments and the price strategy were similar to the stores of Dongdeamun Market, and CRM was conducted partially.

  • Quality management is a recent phenomenon. Advanced civilizations that supported the arts and crafts allowed clients to choose goods meeting higher quality standards than normal goods. There are many methods for quality improvement. Health care, refers to the treatment and management of illness, and the preservation of health through services offered by the medical, dental, complementary and alternative medicine, pharmaceutical, clinical laboratory sciences (in vitro diagnostics), nursing, and allied health professions. Health care embraces all the goods and services designed to promote health, including "preventive, curative and palliative interventions, whether directed to individuals or to populations. The overall impact of managed care remains widely debated. Proponents argue that it has increased efficiency, improved overall standards, and led to a better understanding of the relationship between costs and quality. Practices can solicit feedback from patients in a variety of ways: phone surveys, written surveys, focus groups or personal interviews. What do I do with the results? While you don't have to act on every suggestion that your patients give you, you should take action on the key items that are causing dissatisfaction.

  • Revenue management is a new approach method to solve the problem of supply and demand, and one of fields which is diffused quickly at the service enterprise to use perishable-asset like the transportation business. It is based on multiple fare policy that discount charge reservation should be received if the benefit value of current discount fare is more than expected profit of the normal fare reservation it will be able to occur in future when suitable goods is sold to the customers at discount fare, at the time they want, and at assigned seat by controlling supply and demand from market. In this research, I will review on initial operation case for special class goods that the seat which is limited is assigned at some of train and portion of KTX for demand dispersion and new demand creation at peak time, put a limit in purchase conditions, and provides discounted fare. I will also try to find implication for strategic operation.
