This article is concerned with the goodness - of - fit test for exponentiality when both the scale and location parameters are unknown. A test procedure based on the $L_1$-norm of discrepancy between the cumulative distribution function and the empirical distribution function is proposed, and the critical values of the test statistic are obtained by Monte Carlo simulations. Also the null distributions of the proposed test statistic are presented for small sample sizes. The power of tests under certain alternative distributions is investigated to compare the proposed test statistic with the well-known EDF test statistics. Our Monte Carlo power studies reveal that the proposed test statistic has good power properties, for moderate-to-large sample sizes, in comparison to other statistics although it is a conservative test.

This paper presents the development of digital robust fuzzy controller for uncertain nonlinear systems. The proposed approach is based on the intelligent digital redesign(IDR) method with considering the relaxed stability condition of fuzzy control system. The term IDR in the concerned system is to convert an existing analog robust control into an equivalent digital counterpart in the sense of the state-matching. We shows that the IDR problem can be reduced to find the digital fuzzy gains minimizing the norm distance between the closed-loop states of the analog and digital robust control systems. Its constructive conditions are expressed as the linear matrix inequalities(LMIs) and thereby easily tractable by the convex optimization techniques. Based on the nonquadratic Lyapunov function, the robust stabilization conditions are given for the sampled-data fuzzy system, and hence less conservative. A numerical example, chaotic Lorentz system, is demonstrated to visualize the feasibility of the proposed methodology.
A goodness-of-fit test for the two-parameter exponential distribution, for use with the singly Type I and Type II right censored samples, is proposed. The test statistic is based on the $L_1$-norm of discrepancy between the cumulative distribution function and the empirical distribution function. To deal with the unknown parameters problem, the K- transformation is considered and modified to be applied to the censored samples. Rosenblatt's transformation is extended to the cases of Type I and Type II censored samples, in order to transform the censored samples into the complete ones. The critial values of the test statistic are obtained by Monte Carlo simulations for some finite sample sizes. The power studies are conducted to compare the proposed test with the Pettitt(1977) test for exponentiality with censored samples. It appears that the proposed test has relatively good power properties for moderate and large sample sizes.
This paper introduces an image decomposition-based deep learning method and loss function to improve low-light images. In order to remove color distortion and halo artifact, illuminance channel of an input image is decomposed into reflectance and luminance channels, and a decomposition-based multiple structural deep learning process is applied to each channel. In addition, a mixed norm-based loss function is described to increase the stability and remove blurring in reconstructed image. Experimental results show that the proposed method effectively improve various low-light images.
As a method of obtaining pulse transfer function. transfer function of discrete-time from input-output data, there are method of obtaining unknown parameter of pulse transfer function from estimated impulse response before(1-3). There is no need to approximate to several meanings because of not being established algebraical relations between impulse response for estimation error and parameter of transfer function exactly. In this paper, I inquire the method[4] of obtaining the optimal pulse transfer function as a meaning of Hankel norm approximation from impulse response data and examine estimated property as computer simulation from this method.
We study spaces of continuous-function-valued functions that have the property that composition with evaluation functionals induce $weak^*$ to norm continuous maps to ${\ell}^p$ space ($p{\in}(1,\;{\infty})$). Versions of $H{\ddot{o}}lder^{\prime}s$ inequality and Riesz representation theorem are proved to hold on these spaces. We prove a version of Dixmier's theorem for spaces of function-valued matrix operators on these spaces, and an analogue of the trace formula for operators on Hilbert spaces. When the function space is taken to be the complex field, the spaces are just the ${\ell}^p$ spaces and the well-known classical theorems follow from our results.
The planning of access area, so called "core" plays an important role of planning for multifamily housing, especially multistory housing. For all possibility of various planning and design, this area has been mostly planned and designed in uniformity. And only few attempts have so far been made in studying core, on the contrary to the unit plan or plotplan. It is keenly needed to develop various skills of planning and design in this sector. The purpose of this study is to find out the usable elements of planning and design, those are correspondent to normative targets. For this end, most possible core types are classified in to three categories: circulation types in the housing block, axis types to the entrance of housing units and number of accessed housing units. And then, sizable developments for norm of core have been effectuating in view of function, relationships both with housing unit and block. Based on this classification of types and listed norm, several European examples are analyzed and evaluated by merits and demerits of their respective core types. In addition to this analysis, some adequate planning conditions, positive vs. negative types of core, and detailed planning elements are prepared with regard to the norm of core. It is noteworthy that a variety of possible core planning cases are available by means of combination of lower categories in the classified core types. It is expected that this study will render service for some helpful planning and design guide in the practice
Objectives : The aim of this study was to examine the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) at an acupoint, HT8(Sobu), on normal humans by using power spectral analysis. We examined the effect on the Heart Rate Variability(HRV), and the balance of the autonomic nervous system. Methods : Thirty-two healthy volunteers participated in this study. EEG(Electroencephalogram) power spectrum exhibits site-specific and state-related differences in specific frequency bands. A thirty-two channel EEG study was carried out on thirty-two subjects(14 males; mean age=23.5 years old, 18 females; mean age=21.5 years old). HRV and EEG were simultaneously recorded before and after acupuncture. Results : In the ${\alpha}$(alpha) band, during the HT8-acupoint treatment, the power values in the ${\alpha}$(alpha) band significantly decreased(p<0.05) at 28 channels. In the ${\beta}$(beta) band significantly decreased(p<0.05) at 26 channels. In ${\delta}$(delta) band significantly decreased(p<0.05) at 18 channels. In ${\theta}$(theta) band significantly decreased(p<0.05) at 20 channels. ${\alpha}/{\beta}$ values were increased at 6 channels and decreased at 10 channels.${\beta}/{\theta}$ values were increased at 10 channels and decreased at 19 channels. Mean-RR(RR-interval), Complexity, RMSSD(Root mean square of successive differences), SDSD(Standard deviations differences between adjacent normal R-R intervals), norm HF showed a significantly increased and mean-HRV, norm LF, LHR(LF/HF Ratio) showed a significantly decreased after HT8-acupoint treatment(p<0.05). Conclusions : These results suggest that EA at the HT8 mostly causes significant changes on alpha(28 channels), beta(26 channels), delta(18 channels), theta(20 channels) bands and mean-HRV, mean-RR, complexity, RMSSD, SDSD, norm LF, norm HF and LHR. If practicing EA at the HT8, it will regulate the function of the cerebral cortex, decrease activity of the sympathetic and increase parasympathetic nervous activity.

Because the structure of the economy is being changed from product-oriented and company-centered economy to service-oriented and customer-centered economy, and the market competition is varying with the competition of non-price factors, the importance for customer service of logistics system is being increased. Thus, the level of customer service should be represented as an element of the logistics decision and the facility location decision. The level of customer service provided by logistics system has an effect on customers\` purchase decisions, hence on the market demand. That is, the market demand is elastic for customer service as it is influenced by product price. Considering the effect of customer service on demand, this study develops the market area which each facility will serve. That area is circular, and distance norm is considered Euclidean and Rectilinear (or Manhattan) distance norm. The market demand for product at a particular area is affected by the level of customer service that facility provides, and the relationship between the market demand and the level of customer service is represented with a mathematical function.

The concept based retrieval model has shown a higher performance than those of the simple matching function method or the P-norm retrieval method introduced to compensate the demerits of the Boolean retrieval model. However. it takes too long to create a semantic-net knowledge base, which is essential in concept exploration. In order to solve such demerits. a method was sought out by creating a distributed knowledge base by subjects to reduce construction time without hindering the performance of retrieval.
